Quirky RC!Hajime - Talentsharer HCs
This is kind of a different approach to Hajime having all the talents at once, and merely just him having access to one talent at a time through whichever Ultimate touched him recently (or vice versa). He's still a Reserve Course student, he's just a little quirky (HAHA).
How long does it apply for? For an hour or two before wearing off.
How does it work? For the duration, Hajime will exhibit similar interests and experience as the person who interacted with him, but he won't have the same quirks (i.e. Being the Ultimate Musician, he'll have a nice voice/desire to sing, write songs, and play instruments, but he won't have the same music taste as Ibuki). Afterwards, it just fades away slowly until all the knowledge and experience is gone completely (sorry, I imagine Hajime's voice is also average, which honestly, mood). His memory of what he did and accomplished doesn't go away though. If someone else touches him before the hour ends, his thoughts will shift accordingly to the new person's talent and the previous talent isn't accessible anymore (i.e. if he's tinkering with something because of the Ultimate Mechanic talent but Mikan trips and accidentally bonks Hajime in the head, he'll be unable to finish the project).
Who's giving their talent most often? Kazuichi and Ibuki through constant casual touches and/or hugs (mainly Ibuki for that one). You can bet 100% you've got a Hajime having to deal with a sudden compulsion to fix everything with schematics in his head, along with very sensitive hearing mixed with a love for humming and strumming. Nekomaru's up there too, because he comes up to Hajime to give him a hearty slap on the back and give him tips to be a great rugby player. It makes Hajime match his energy and suddenly they're plotting together on how best Hajime could succeed ("Hey, actually, don't you think I'd make a great snowboarder?") As well, Hajime looks at his classmates and mentally judges whether their physique would befit an athlete in x sport, and makes off the cuff comments about it.
Who's giving their talent least? Nagito goes out of his way to avoid touching or interacting with Hajime when he knows he's in the Reserve Course (Nagito gets a LIL curious though when he observes Hajime hanging out with his fellow classmates). Peko isn't the type to touch people unwarranted, even casually. Kuzuryuu isn't either, but he'll give Hajime a friendly shove every once in awhile. I can't imagine Mahiru touching him much, but they do get along decently enough.
How does this affect Hajime's day to day life? No one actually knows about it, and he's not even aware of it. Once he meets Chiaki, he still isn't aware of it. After all, it's kind of hard to notice if you're not interacting with Ultimates that much. It becomes prevalent after he's been adopted by Class 77-B and he's being casually touched or brushed against, with his impulses shifting in different directions. He starts noticing it and he thinks he's gone insane, and that's when he tries talking about it with other RC students and a handful of Ultimates. Nagito's pretty interested in this whole mystery and how it manifests, considering the circumstances. Chiaki says he's collecting power-ups. "Like Pokemon! Why don't you try to collect 'em all?" "...yeah, no thanks, I don't want to get my ass kicked by Mahiru."
How would this impact the Killing Game? Well, the implications are kind of silly... for instance, when Hajime's trying to figure out his talent with Nagito, he'll be casually brushed (or bumped into) by his classmates and suddenly have hints of having that talent (I have a drabble for this). Of course, the knowledge wears off, and it's dismissed for being beginner's luck. On that note, Nagito considers the idea that perhaps Hajime also has a luck based talent or something to that effect, but they don't get to pursue that thought much before, well, y'know. Also features some shenanigans where Nagito brushes Hajime throughout the game and Hajime starts dealing with a luck cycle but on steroids (considering the 1-2 hour length). Imagine that just because Nagito touches Hajime through encouraging shoulder grips and wrist grabbing, the whole killing game doesn't even start because other chaos ensues. Even Monokuma is baffled because there's suddenly a tsunami??? He didn't even do that???
Some conceptualization rambles under the cut.
I 100% made this because I want to make (more) drabbles for this.
I love Hajime and I'm not overly partial to giving him a talent (although I do have a talentswap AU with him having one bc that's free real estate), but I do find the idea of giving Hajime in a non-despair AU (or even in context to the game) something a little unique fascinating.
I do have more concepts along the lines of "Hajime is a Reserve Course student but he DOES have something strange about him". All of the ideas are on a silly note and not the most logical, but I do enjoy finangling them around in my head.
Also, unintentionally I made most of the Quirky RC concepts so far with him meeting Nagito first instead of Chiaki (except this one). I do have a reasoning for that. I needed to give Hajime a reason to be... less willing to meet the Ultimates. That'll makes sense whenever I post my next quirky!hajime idea.

I remember one time seeing an artwork of the v3 cast in the phantom thieves outfits and it got me wondering what if we had class 77 as the investigation team (I know shsl shipper gamer fangirl did something like this but I don’t think the phantom thieves fit as well as the investigation team) and with that in mind who do you see being who
(P.s for the artwork I saw kokichi was joker kaede was panther kaito was skull maki was queen korekiyo was fox himeno was oracle tsumugi was haru ryoma was Mona kiruma was sae shuichi was supposed to be goro but mistakenly dressed up as naoto)
Ok! I'm going to try to think in terms of who has the most similar personality or at least shares the most traits with the P4 character in question.
Yu Narukami/Protag equivalent = Hajime, obvs.
Yosuke Hanamura equivalent = Kazuichi. Although I feel like Kazuichi's best P4 match would be something like "Yosuke + Kanji," Yosuke is definitely the closer match of the two.
Chie Satonaka equivalent = This is the first legitimately tough one IMO. I guess Mahiru Koizumi is probably the best match in terms of personality, so I'll give it to her.
Yukiko Amagi equivalent = Sonia Nevermind. Easy one.
Kanji Tatsumi equivalent = Fuyuhiko has that tough-guy exterior with the softer inner core, so he can take this on.
Rise Kujikawa equivalent = This, to me, was the hardest one. Sure, we have someone who loves to be on-stage and in the spotlight — Ibuki — but she doesn't align with ANYTHING else about Rise's personality. (Though I do think having Ibuki as a navigator would be hilarious.) So... who comes the closest, then? Does Class 77 have anyone that's struggling with putting on an exterior face to the point that they fear they're losing sight of who they are? I suppose that'd align well with the Imposter. But again, I don't feel confident that he fits with anything else about Rise. And so, after careful consideration, I've decided to give this role to Mikan Tsumiki. Mikan aligns with literally zero of Rise's personality traits, yet somehow she still gets about 50% of the way to matching most of them, if that makes sense? There are multiple aspects that both have loosely in common with the other, if only partially. It's... good enough.
Teddie equivalent = Teruteru.
Naoto Shirogane equivalent = And so we end on another hard one. I considered Peko, Ryota, and Chiaki before I ultimately landed on Imposter. He's got a very no-nonsense, down-to-business way of speaking when he's not putting on a faked personality, plus he's got that whole hidden-identity aspect down already. He also almost never wavers from his craft; he's disguising 99% of the time, after all, which aligns pretty well with Naoto's workaholic nature.

Random Fanfic Idea 4
SPOILERS FOR HELL GIRL AND DANGANRONPA
Hell Girl is my favorite anime, and I really wish it would get more attention. But given how one the first season was ever dubbed, and it is seen as going downhill in quality by some who have seen it. This seems sadly unlikely, but that doesn’t mean I can’t spread the love.
One thing about Hell Girl, is that adding the Hell Link site to any given world is fairly simple. And a world like that in Danganronpa is extremely easy for this one, and also the ideas that are possible with this combination just is enjoyable to me. I mean, I had tried to begin a crossover fanfic with these two myself, but I suck at writing as well as staying committed.
Tumblr media
But just going off of the baseline that I came up with, following Sato using the site on Natsumi only to receive revenge against her in return, just leads into a really interesting story line. Imagine Hajime(DR Hajime, not HG Hajime) looking into Natsumi’s disappearance and Sato’s subsequent death only to learn of Mahiru doing the same and for them to team up, only for more disappearances to begin to plague the campus.
Also imagine Hajime ultimately still going through with the Kamakura Project like in canon (though I like to imagine unwillingly), only to end up with a pissed off human experiment who decides to burn Hope’s Peak to the ground. I find the whole idea rather fun, also it is an excuse to possibly do something fun with the Class 76 trio as well. So why not.

Junko and Byakuya's idea of friendship is pitching different ways they could kill each other, but deciding not to and that is so wonderful for them. (Weirdos who think they're the dog keeping the cheetah from going crazy, but they're both cheetahs.)
They are PEAK fucking weird rich people (to the chagrin of their entire class)

After I posted this, I realized that Hajime's left eye is red, which means that Nagito must have a prosthetic hand... 😅 Please forgive me and interpret it as another universe or something! 😭
---
As I mentioned when I posted it, I have been wanting to draw something like the picture of komahina with a dog for a while. It's a bit long to talk about why, but I'd like to take this opportunity to talk about it! If you are willing to read it, please expand↓
There is a Komahina fanfic that I love so much and have read many times where Hajime has regular interviews with each member of Class 77-B to report on the rehabilitation of the Class 77-B to the Future Foundation, and Nagito plans to use this opportunity to propose to Hajime, then Class 77-B notices the plan and supports it. Normally, the interview would consist of a few routine, boring questions, but the members of Class 77-B take the liberty of overriding the question sheet and changing the questions to something completely different. The questions reflect each person's character, but they all share a common premise secretely: What if you married Hajime? (in other words, about what kind of life Nagito would like to have after marrying Hajime.) The overwriting was done without informing Nagito, but he soon realized that everyone was doing it for him. Hajime had no idea what was going on at all, but Nagito asked him to ask the questions as they were, so he starts the interview with the weird question sheet. So all in all this story is a very long proposal of marriage in which Hajime asks Nagito a lot of questions and Nagito answers them! XD
And finally, this is where the topic of dogs comes in! Each question was prepared by each person in Class 77-B, and Gundham's question was, "If you would have a pet, what would you like?" (The original is a more Gundham-like exaggerated phrase!) Nagito first answers that the current world situation does not allow us to have pets. Hajime agrees, but asks him what he would like if he could have a pet, and Nagito replies that after thinking about it, he would like to have a dog. Hajime just replies "I see" and hopes in his heart that Komaeda will be able to have a dog one day. It's a simple conversation, but I really like this scene! In this story, Nagito is in love with Hajime from the beginning, so why he loves Hajime so much is not explained in detail, but when Hajime just heard Nagito's answer, he wished that Komaeda could have a dog soon, which made me understand that Nagito loves Hajime because Hajime has such a genuine heart and hopes for Nagito's happiness. And this is also a funny scene, because Nagito is answering the question as part of a proposal, so he imagines that he and Hajime will get a dog together after they get married, but Hajime is unaware of this and just wishes that he could have a dog! XD His feelings are so obvious that everyone in Class 77-B knows that Nagito is in love with Hajime, but Hajime is completely unaware of it and doesn't even realize that Nagito is proposing to him, which is so adorable. Anyway, inspired by this story, I have always wanted to paint a picture of komahina with a dog! (Ah, it took me longer to explain than I thought it would. haha)
This story has a really great structure. Hajime did not understand what was going on at first, but then he realizes that Nagito is in love with someone. And when he sees how Nagito expresses his love for the person with great passion, he realizes that he is shocked. Hajime thought he was the one who knew Nagito best, but when he sees for the first time that Nagito has such a strong passion for someone, and the object of that passion isn't him, he despairs. (Though they are all his misunderstood! awwww) By the way, everyone in Class 77-B realized that Hajime subconsciously liked Nagito. That's why they tried to support Nagito!
When Hajime finishes asking all the questions, he gets very depressed, and Nagito finally realizes that Hajime is completely unaware that he is proposing to him, so he tells him how he feels and formally proposes marriage. The lines at that moment are really great and I love them! I think I will probably draw another picture or something inspired by it. (I have no idea when that will be, though!) Thanks for reading this far! If you're interested, here's the link to the fanfic:
PS: After rereading the fanfic, I realized that it was a bit inaccurate to call it a proposal. Well, at the end, it is revealed that Nagito was determined to make Hajime his own even if he was rejected, so I think it is equivalent to a proposal in terms of the strength of his resolve, but the end was just that they got together. I apologize that my memory was not clear!

@lightcreators asked: ❛  do you ever wonder what it would be like if things were different between us?  ❜ (from kokichi ouma, friendship-wise of course, since ouma have an reason to remove his mask for one second)
Pining/Yearning Sentence Starters
"Hm?" Sonia asked. She'd been in the process of reaching for a salmon-filled onigiri when Kokichi had interjected with his question. And at their small table in the cafeteria, there weren't many others it could be directed towards.
The Main Course classes often kept to themselves, as it were, but Class 79's Kokichi Ouma was another category in and of himself. As far as Sonia knew, the common terms that were used when referring to him were 'gremlin' or 'menace,' for all the times her cohorts were caught at the receiving end of his pranks, jokes, and schemes. Even Hiyoko, who was also commonly referred to as a gremlin herself by her peers, clashed with Kokichi's methods of befriending others. More trouble than he was worth, that was how most of her fellow students seemed to view him.
An opinion that Sonia herself did not share. Admittedly and embarrassingly, she could admit that the initial reason she reached out to him was due entirely to his talent: as Ultimate Supreme Leader, she'd never actually met the leader of a cult before. For all of her interest in them, her first-person exposure was nil. Still, she'd tried to be polite when inquiring after his talent and the duties associated with it: how did he attract members? Did they have secret rituals? What about death pacts or prophecies for the future?
Instead, her friend seemed more keen on practical jokes than giving her firm answers to her questions. Just as well, a bit of mystery kept things intriguing. But to that end, Sonia was one of the few from her class who was willing to have lunch with him, or at least be present as a captive audience for any amount of time. And she fully expected him to tease her about some sort of Japanese culture she'd managed to mess up, something she took in stride until she couldn't anymore, when her eyes narrowed and tone switched and the line she'd drawn had been crossed between good humor and ill-intended jabs.
Tumblr media
This, however, was surprisingly philosophical for him. "If things were different between us?" She repeated. "Like talents? If we had different talents? Ooh, like if I was the Ultimate Supreme Leader! Though I wonder if my followers would simply be members of a coven at that point. Or otherwise devoted to the supernatural!"
She chuckled at the thought: it would be a far more exciting life than what her reality amounted to: endless meetings, ribbon cuttings, tea parties, memorials, and balls. Even the annual Masquerade each October only had subtle hints of the macabre, eagerly borrowed from her own personal collection of occult artifacts.
"What do you wonder then, if things were different between us?" She asked, setting her onigiri down on its plate. "Maybe I am a bit off in what you had in mind."

Okay okay, I have a theory for her wearing a diaper: Maybe it's the way Monokuma belittling her. Like "you are as useless as a baby, so take this diaper and stfu".
And yeah!!! THAT is what I want to talk about!! I saw some askers in your blog, as well as you complain about how class has treated Mikan which I agree so much!! But I'd like to point out that the class also shut their eyes to Monomi's abuse just like how they did with Mikan's. Monokuma beat her up and mocked her front of the students whenever he can! But despite everything, Monomi is still caring about the students! At the first time she realised that Monokuma was in the island as well, she went to confront him and when Monokuma brings the Mono - bots, she tries to battle them, even if she failed to do so.
Than later, she continues to fight with Mono - bots to help to students. Like, she is the reason why the students could discover rest of the island, and students either ignore her, or get rude to her. Like why???! She is as much a victim as the other students, if not more!! But of course, what can you expect from the class who ignored Mikan's abuse until she snaps?.. I swear it's like a pattern for them.
Note: This is a direct follow-up to this previous ask.
RE: The diaper, I know it makes sense in-universe, but I was more wanting an explanation for why the DR team put her in a diaper. Are they thinking "Oh, this is something associated with a baby and therefore it is cute"? Because that is absolutely NOT my reaction. I realize this is probably a personal bias/hang-up, but I just... do not react well to seeing a wee child walking around in only a diaper and no other clothes. Especially not when they're indoors, in a business of some kind like a restaurant or museum or whatever. For some reason, my immediate reaction to that scenario is "EW, GROSS." Never am I ever thinking "Oh cute, that kid is just in a diaper." I am instead thinking about the fact that nobody bothered to cloth that human who is only wearing something that helps them wallow in their own waste. And I'm grossed out by that. ........... Maybe I just have issues, but THAT'S where my mind goes when I look at Monomi's design. "Nothin' but a diaper. Just a fucked-up rabbit that's probably ensconced in its own feces."
(Can Monomi not remove the diaper? She obviously didn't wear or need one as Usami. Is it permanently bolted onto her person by Monokuma or something?)
.......................BUT ANYWAAAAY, that's just a side tangent to the greater Monomi issue you've spoken about: The class' treatment of her.
I kind of understand that Class 77-B feels like they don't know if they can trust the weird robot animal (well... it appears to be a robot to them, at the time) that's running around, because who is really controlling it? Wasn't this robot the same one who took us this island without us asking??? Even if it's NOT in league with the one who is demanding a killing game, why should we trust the one that dragged us to a remote island without our permission??
But at the same time... they obviously don't JUST distrust her for that reason. Characters regularly suspect her of being in league with Monokuma, even though it's plainly obvious to everyone that she's being beaten up, tied up, forcibly shut up, AND she never does anything aggressive or mean towards them (despite obviously living among them and speaks directly with them frequently). And she appeared very confused/shocked when Monokuma first showed up and immediately tried to fight him. And SO ON.
I get that they're in a scenario where trust isn't an easy thing to just hand over. I also understand that she's not even really human, and her capacity to "feel" is probably unclear to them... like, is she just *acting* when she shows these emotions? Is that a programmed response? Or what? And ok, she's somehow weirdly able to open up these islands, but how can little robot do that shit against those beasts? And why does it always just lead to more places Monokuma has corrupted, with even more potential murder motives? Etc ec.
But I'm making a ton of excuses for the fact that it feels dumb the way they keep on suspecting her all the way up until she gets Tetris'd to hell and back. I could make additional excuses, even, based on the specific characters who are most hostile to her! But... it just... never feels right to me. There's even lip service paid to how she "even looks like him," which is something that is LITERALLY DONE RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM AGAINST USAMI'S WILL, so like, that's an absolutely shit reason to be such a hater. Shut up. :P
Somehow, their treatment of Monomi is simultaneously both more and less logical than how they treat Tsumiki.

thinking about like.
chisa and sakakura were investigating hope's peak during dr3, right. and like, i'm including chisa and munakata in oafc. in theory, this means sakakura should be there, too, but i'm honestly not sure that he is.
because see, here's the thing. junko only escapes getting caught in dr3 because she manipulates sakakura and brainwashes (and lobotomizes) chisa.
but i'm not having chisa brainwashed/lobotomized in the fic.
and i'm playing with her a bit in terms of how she interacts with junko and the whole situation. these three have been disillusioned by hpa even before finding out about the izuru kamakura project. they still believe in what hpa can be, but are convinced of corruption from within - corruption that chisa specifically finds. because i'm taking away the remnants' brainwashing and instead having junko step in and do things that hpa should be doing but isn't, chisa as a result has a higher opinion of junko - to the point that she would be a character witness of the sort who would say that's not the junko i know, junko would never do that. (and then finding out that junko is, well, junko would just. that's a spike of despair on top of believing that she'd failed her kids because they were dead (assumed) and then because junko corrupted them and drew them into ultimate despair when she finds out they were alive. like. there are layers of despair to chisa that i'm playing with that i like!
but sakakura wouldn't have any such reason to believe that junko was better than what he sees, and his and munakata's research should pull up the same as it was before. and, sure, junko could pull the same strings she does in dr3, but like.
wouldn't it be more effective for him to be dead.
like - dead before munakata even asks him to go talk to junko (because if he got killed while trying to look into her, that would be bad, and she's not that dumb). like junko assesses the threat before it even gets to that point. and just. he needs to be gone.
there's an entire group of rioting students. there's an entire mob. maybe someone just. lets the mob in. maybe mukuro just. hides in the mob. or peko, at fuyuhiko's request, because junko says this guy is a threat to her and she's scared of him and fuyuhiko's not going to see another sister of his die because he didn't act.
and then sakakura is out of the way.
and munakata will listen to chisa.
and then that's another layer of despair for chisa later, when she realizes that one of hers is the reason her other best friend is dead. (especially if going with the peko and fuyuhiko route.)
and then that's another layer of reasoning for munakata to want junko dead, because she's the reason that his other best friend is dead. (which leads to greater conflict with makoto and more reason for kyoko to just not tell anyone anything about what she's learning because she doesn't trust any of them.)
adds conflict. adds layers. makes things more personal to the characters getting added in.
also means i don't have to write sakakura. ;D
