Today's beast is the beloved city resident, the Rock Dove or Common Pigeon. If you do not enjoy a pigeon, I question your taste, how do you not enjoy these jaunty little fellows and their beautiful colours, they're even iridescent! Quality bird.
If you'd like a pidg for your home, please check out Bittythings and Beasts.

Urgent Appeal from the Heart of Suffering: We Need Your Support to Restore Our Lives 🍉🇵🇸🙏🤍
We are living in conditions that can only be described as tragic. Every passing day brings with it more challenges that weigh heavily on our lives. We don't know how we'll make it through the next day, and we see no way out of this suffering. Feelings of despair and exhaustion dominate our lives, where the pain is not just physical but also burdens our weary souls.
The shortage of gas and water is not just a lack of resources; it’s a daily crisis that turns every simple task into a tough battle. Imagine spending hours of hard work in front of a barely lit fire just to prepare a meal for your children. Imagine the constant worry of finding clean water, a reminder every moment of the comfort and dignity you’ve lost.
The worsening economic situation makes things even harder, as we struggle daily just to survive. Everything is out of reach: food, water, electricity, and even the sense of safety. The humanitarian aid that once sustained us is now scarce or nonexistent, making survival itself a real challenge.
We are asking you now not to forget us. Your support could be the ray of hope that brings back a part of our lost lives. We know the challenges we face may seem distant to you, but every donation, every share, and every word of support helps lighten some of the burdens we bear.
Today, we need you more than ever.
Thank you for your compassionate support during these unimaginable times; your help brings hope and relief to our daily struggles.

There is a necessary need to provide waterproof tents... to alleviate our suffering... and this requires a high financial cost...
I am creating this post on behalf of my dear friend Engy Shaheen. Engy is a third year university student in Gaza and a choriocarcinoma cancer survivor. She is currently in remission and she still needs medical care. Due to the total collapse of the healthcare system in Gaza, Engy is no longer able to receive medical care or obtain medication.
Due to the total destruction of every university in Gaza, Engy was no longer able to finish her last year of education either. Her home was destroyed and now her and her family are displaced. Engy wants to raise funds so she can leave Gaza to finish her education abroad, and so she can receive remission treatment and medication again.
Despite everything Engy has endured, she chooses to volunteer by organizing activities for the children in Gaza.
**Engy’s fundraiser has been vetted by me through the community process of vetting with Pali Pals on IG**
CURRENT & OVERALL GOAL: €4,785 / €15,000

Not an ordinary cucumber! This cucumber was smuggled with one of the truck drivers from the south of the Gaza Strip to the city of Azza. I was lucky to get it as a valuable gift from my husband’s friend. Then I decided to give it to my mother, who kept it for a day and then sent it to my sister, who divided it into two halves. Half I made a salad with and the other half I shared. With her neighbor. One smuggled cucumber was happily eaten by 15 people. Today my nephew Ahmed came to me and said to me: “Auntie, can I tell you a secret? Yesterday we ate cucumbers.” Azza
side effect of having online friends is that ill see the area where they live mentioned irl and ill have to restrain myself from saying "woah...australia...just like slushy and neil..."
