Katie unwraps Elle’s gift, smiles at her and instantly wraps the scarf around her neck, it’s a delicate piece of work, Elle’s hard work gathering the material and making sure it sits cleanly shows and Katie smiles as she strokes soft fingers over the second scarf before calling Clara over to wrap the scarf around her neck. “Handmade?” Clara murmurs, stroking the silk and looking over at JJ. “She’s a keeper.” Later, much later, Elle would relax and enjoy Clara and Katie’s company, JJ pressed into her side. BAU Gang - A Criminal Minds Roleplay Discord Server

The BAU Gang is a newly formed third-person in-character roleplay server with focus on descriptive storylines and fun character interactions. We’re a group based around the popular show Criminal Minds, and thus all canon characters from the show are welcome! We also accept OCs! In-character channels include private and group-chat texting and locations to write plots out in.

Our main goal is to have fun, so we have some basic rules we’d like anyone who wishes to join to read over. These are the rules you’ll have to follow in the server.

1.) absolutely no bullying. no harassment or unnecessary aggression will be tolerated. if you have a problem with another server member, please contact a mod to try to resolve it in a peaceful way. everyone should feel welcome and included.

2.) please respect people's boundaries. if someone is uncomfortable writing something or asks you to stop discussing something ic or ooc, please either censor it or stop talking about it altogether.

3.) nsfw is allowed, unless someone under 18 joins. nsfw should be non-explicit unless it is in the nsfw channel.

4.) respect that people have lives outside of rp.

5.) no graphic images and/or descriptions of violence and/or gore. keep depictions of violence (killing, torture, etc.) to a minimum.

6.) be respectful of the topic you're rping. as this is a criminal minds rp server, there is likely to be sensitive topics and info about serial killers and psychology. please treat these subjects with respect and always be prepared to stop and/or censor if someone is uncomfortable.

7.) no forcing anyone into a ship or dynamic.

My name is Bethany Devereaux. I was one of the six agents killed by Adrian Bale and this is my story.

A/N and Warnings: If you haven’t, please read Early Years for context. Very subtle mentions of sexual harassment and assault. I also just want to say we need to do a better job of helping our veterans and active duty service members deal with this problem. Offensive slang. To say that I was unprepared for my induction summer and life as a Plebe isn’t accurate. I would say I was blindsided by the exhaustion. We got up at dawn. We ran the yard. We did formations. We ate in the mess hall. We were always a unit. The company became our family, friends and brothers in arms (no one actually said much that there were women present). We slept maybe six hours a night. It was a team-building, honor inducing, painfully mesmerizing blur. But I did it: I survived my seven weeks of bodily torture and got to see Mama and Daddy.

They had tours and history lessons while I had my regular duties. After the parade we waited alphabetically for our parents and guests to find us. I remember seeing Daddy with Mama’s fist holding his arm tightly, naturally she wore heels that were sinking into the grass of the yard. I couldn’t wait, I ran to them. The familiar hugs and scents overwhelmed me and I cried tears of happiness.

“Bethania, that is enough!” Mama shushed me, taking out her handkerchief for me to clean up.

“Looking trim there, Bets.” Daddy commented. His eyes were sad. I kept staring at them, watching as they exchanged glances.

“What happened?” I demanded. “Is it Charlie? Is he alright?” My older brother had been overseas, but not in a conflict zone.

“Charlie is fine, Bets,” Daddy began slowly, “It’s Pop-pop, he’s gone to heaven, baby. A few weeks ago.”

I know I was upset and grieving, but I will never shake the disappointment I felt. My parents, these two people in my life that I had trusted had withheld something so monumental.

There were only around 100 women alongside me as I began my studies that fall. The class size was roughly 1150. Routine was something that kept me focused. I worked hard and kept my head forward. Not down, not on a swivel. Eyes on the prize. I ignored the snark we got from time to time for being female, I was used to it.

Edwards and Vaughn were the other female midshipmen in my company. Edwards put up with nothing. If a guy so much as looked at her too long she was tearing him down with her thick Brooklyn slang. Vaughn was quiet, she would flinch if someone said something too loudly or catcalled. I wish she could have developed a thicker skin. Maybe its because she didn’t have the big brothers I did or maybe she had never been praised in her whole sorry eighteen years. I don’t know, but the sharks smelled blood.

It was the week before Thanksgiving leave that I found her in the lavatory. Her face was red from crying. The hard tile floor cooling her bruising skin. I don’t know how long she had been there, but I picked her up and took her to the infirmary. She moaned, “No, please” when the male doctors touched her. Her strained voice is etched into my memories.

“Midshipmen Devereaux, you can return to your classes.” Someone sent me away.

I visited Vaughn that night during study break. She didn’t want to talk about it. So I talked about the day, the awful food in the mess hall, how Jennings and Martin had been given extra laps. Nonsense small talk. She left before the end of the week. Back to Kansas, a landlocked state for the girl that dreamed of the sea. I never found out who had hurt her, she was too scared to tell. But from then on: my head was always checking two steps behind me as well.

My family had tickets to the Navy- Army game my second year at the Academy. It was in Jersey, so I had to get special leave privileges to go along. Charlie was there, thankfully my Midshipmen pulled out a victory after an otherwise embarrassing season. Gambling is not strictly promoted in the Fleet, so I am not going to say that I won a bet. Just that I left the game with some cash in my pocket.

“Hey, Bets!” Another Virginian drawl called out to me in the middle of the stands at Giants Stadium. I looked up to find a very filled out T.J. Stevens, grinning lazily at me. He was wearing a faded NAVY tee shirt, so I figured I could play nice. “How did you get away for the game?” He asked.

“Used every favor I had.” I smiled. “Wait, I have seen you! You’re a fucking Plebe! Why didn’t you say something to me in the yard?” I realized all my focus on my duties and routines I had missed my old family friend.

“Too shy, besides it’s not like they encourage socializing.” T.J. shrugged.

“Well, I’m glad it took you all the way to Jersey to say hey.”

“Maybe, want to hang out sometime? I mean, we could get together on town liberty next week?” He was six feet of shy and sweet southern charm, I nodded.

We did a good job sneaking around. Every upperclassman had different duties, but Plebes only had a chance of freedom on Saturday nights. Drinking was out of the question, we were both too young and dedicated. We found ourselves at the local bowling alley, on a fairly regular basis during that spring semester.

Unfortunately, my Company Operations Officer, Thomas (who was not the most pleasant fella) happened upon T.J. and I, a few weeks after Mid-term leave. “Well, well, lookie here.” His dark eyes scoring over us like a cobra. “And I had pegged you for a dyke, Devereaux.”

I rolled my eyes, like I hadn’t heard that one before. “Sir? Is there something we can help you with, otherwise I would like to continue to beat Stevens’ ass.” I quipped as I strolled down the alley and cleaned up with a spare.

T.J. was frozen. The upperclassman was watching his every twitch. “You’re up, T.J.” I tried to act casual. Finally he got up and took his turns. In the meantime, Thomas sat besides me and whispered with his beer breathe.

“You’re dead Devereaux. Plebes are off limits and you know that.”

I turned and looked him square in his beady eyes, “You have no proof. I have known Stevens for years. I was just making sure he was relaxing on his liberty.”

“You better watch yourself, girl.” Thomas’ southern drawl felt dirty now. “He’s got a few weeks before Sea Trials, hate him to mess that up.”

Turns out Thomas’ threats were empty. T.J. did fine at his trials, but he broke up with me anyway. Too scared of the attention, even though now we had nothing to hide. Life is funny that way. You throw things away when you finally have a chance at happiness. Or you are so afraid of the possibilities that you hightail it the other direction. I didn’t want a coward, even if he was sweet. I just had to keep telling myself that.

“After graduating from Annapolis I spent my time on a ship or two. Before a friend of my Daddy suggested I apply for something closer to home.”

I was part of a crew. I had earned a degree. I was serving my country, still making Pop-pop proud. The years in the Fleet held a sense of purpose and routine that could not be repeated in any other environment. I saw the entire world. I saw the Persian Gulf, after Desert Storm, but I got to those ancient waters and so many more.

I slept, ran and ate Navy. I worked with some amazing sailors. But I was restless. After Charlie had been at the Pentagon for two years, he kept telling me to keep my options open. I knew I didn’t have another enlistment in me, I didn’t want to command a full ship.

It was ironically a Stevens that told me to apply to the FBI. T.J.’s uncle Carl was teasing me during a big New Year’s bash at my folks’ house. It was now 1997, I had only six months left. Why not? How hard could a single target be after years of chasing shiploads?

The academy was nothing I wasn’t already trained to handle. The classes were more specific to law enforcement so I had to relearn my vocabulary. I was easily the oldest person in my class, surprise surprise. The mental stimulation was refreshing and tougher than I cared to admit.

The FBI was a good fit for me, I liked the results and being able to see my targets in person. The small unit working together was how I thrived. I had been placed in the Carolinas, it kept me near the water, but the honeymoon phase ended quickly. I began searching for bigger challenges after just two years. Then I found an internal posting for a profiler position in Quantico.

It was the late nineties and being a woman in the FBI was still uncommon. The position that had been vacated was that of the notorious ladies’ man and founding member, David Rossi. (He later became an international best selling author of True Crime books.) I interviewed with SSA Cole in a dimly lit basement office. After the second interview I got the impression they didn’t want to fill the position. That was the only time I did not achieve my objective and as a Devereaux, I didn’t just let that slide.

I returned for my second attempt at the promotion nearly ten months after my first interview with Katie Cole. Now it was her position that had been vacated. A talented clinical psychologist and profiler, her reputation and name left a large hole to fill in the small unit. But the fact that she had broken into the old boys’ club of the BAU made my opportunity all the more possible.

I had been working in the Boston field office, in the interim, hoping the diverse caseload would deepen my understanding of the work the profilers did. Irish mafia and vice cases helped develop my intuition and my confidence grew with each collar.

The offices were in a cement lined basement at the headquarters, just like the last time. Jason Gideon was regrouping after Rossi’s and Cole’s departures. Their poster boy Aaron Hotchner was running the interview process because Gideon didn’t have the attention span to interact well socially. Hotch was an arrogant lawyer with a chip on his shoulder when it came to child abuse cases. But his irrefutable moral compass held the whole unit together.

Aaron, remarkably, remembered me and asked pertinent questions to my expanding experiences. After an open-ended Q&A session I was told they would be in touch. I shook hands all around and made my way through the cave of file cabinets. SSA Gideon was staring at the cork side of an ancient chalkboard on wheels. There were photographs of victims and their dumpsites. I didn’t think he had registered my presence until he began to speak.

“Why would he wrap the bodies, but leave the faces exposed?” His musings were to himself, but I took it as an opening.

“Sir?” I pointed to a victim’s face. “He wants to see them, he comes back to check on them.”

His dark eyes turned on me as if I was speaking Swahili. I pointed to the position the bodies were in and the nearest footpaths. They were left directly in line of sight.

“What else can you tell me about this unsub?” Gideon asked, not making eye contact again. But I felt him watching my micro-expressions, my processing obvious on my heavily browed face.

“He takes talismans or mementos from each of the victims. He relives the deaths even when he can no longer visit their graves.”

“Hotch?” Gideon called. “Agent Devereaux is coming to Indiana with me. Handle the transfer while we’re gone.”

And just like that, I was in.

MAY 1ST IN ARSENAL HISTORY

On this day in 1902 two players joined the ranks of Woolwich Arsenal. Midfielder Roddy McEachrane  signed from Thames Ironworks (now West Ham United). He stayed for 13 years and played in 346 senior matches. Thames Ironworks and Woolwich Arsenal were his only two clubs as he retired from playing in 1915. Tim Coleman joined from Northampton Town. The centre forward scored 84 goals in 196 matches before being sold to Everton in 1908 for £700.

Before the First World War the season was always over in April so the first time Arsenal played on this date was today in 1920. It was the final match of the Division 1 season and Arsenal welcomed Bradford Park Avenue to Highbury. In a 3-0 Gunners' win it was Frank Bradshaw, Fred Pagnam and Fred Groves that got the goals as the Gunners finished 10th in the league. An unusual day to make a debut on the final day of the season but this match was a first appearance for full back George Pattison. He was still an amateur when he played in this match and signed his professional papers in August. Pattison only played 10 matches in total in his two seasons and was sold to West Ham United for £100 in May 1922. For right winger David Greenaway it was a final appearance before leaving on a free. Greenaway joined from Shettleston in 1908 and played 170 matches scoring 13 goals.

On the last day of the 1925/1926 and Herbert Chapman's first season in charge, Arsenal were at home to Birmingham. Jimmy Brain scored twice and Tom Parker got on the score sheet in a 3-0 victory. After narrowly avoiding relegation the previous season Arsenal finished 2nd in the league behind Huddersfield Town. It was thus far their highest finish in the top flight. Outside right Herbert Lawson put on the Arsenal shirt for the last time. He only played 16 times in his three seasons and scored two goals. He left the club in March 1927 to join Brentford.

The final match of the season today in 1937 saw Arsenal meet Bolton Wanderers at Highbury. 22,875 fans watched a 0-0 draw as Arsenal finished 3rd behind Charlton Athletic in 2nd and champions Manchester City. Captain and midfielder Alex James  played this last match and subsequently retired. Signed by Herbert Chapman from Preston North End for £8,750 in 1929, James played 261 times for the club scoring 27 goals in the process. He was one of the finest players to grace a football pitch and arguably the Dennis Bergkamp of his day. Alex James was a star of his time and a pivotal figure in Arsenal's domination of the 1930's. He was inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame in 2005 in recognition of his contribution to the English game.

At Wembley Stadium today in 1943 Arsenal took on Charlton Athletic in the Football League Cup South final. 75,000 spectators watched the Gunners destroy their opposition. Denis Compton scored, Ted Drake struck twice and Reg Lewis banged in four goal for a 1-7 demolition of Charlton and Arsenal lifted the trophy.

On the final day of the season on this date in 1948 Grimsby Town were in Islington. Denis Compton got to goals today, Alex Forbes and Jimmy Logie both scored and for good measure Ronnie Rooke put four past the Marriners' keeper for a rousing 8-0 victory as Arsenal celebrated winning the league by seven points in Tom Whittaker's first season in charge. Not a bad way to make your debut. Left back Lionel Smith got his first taste of playing the first team today. It was something he would go on to do 181 times before moving on to Watford in 1954.

The Gunners were at Hendon for a friendly today in 1950. Hendon scored and own goal and Doug Lishman was on target in a 1-2 win for Arsenal.

Lishman was on target again today in 1953 in the last match of the season. His goal was added to by Alex Forbes and Jimmy Logie in a 3-2 win over Burnley at Highbury. With Arsenal and Preston North End topping the league on 54 points each the champions would be decided on goal average. Preston's average was 1.417. Arsenal's was 1.516 and so the Division 1 trophy would come to Highbury for the seventh time. The match was a final bow at Arsenal for centre back Ray Daniel. He ended one short of his century on 99 matches played and scored 5 goals for the club and was sold to Sunderland for £27,500.

Highbury was the venue today in 1959 for a Representative match between England and Young England. The youth side were beaten 2-1 by the seniors.

The Gunners were at the Galgenwaard ground in the Netherlands on this date in 1961 for a post season friendly against DOS Utrecht (now merged as part of FC Utrecht). Arfon Griffiths and John Barnwell both scored for Arsenal in a 2-2 draw.

Final day of the season again and this day in 1962 saw Arsenal beaten 2-3 at Highbury by Everton and Arsenal finished in 10th place. George Armstrong got one of the Arsenal goals and the other was scored by Arfon Griffiths who was playing his last match for the club. Midfielder Griffiths signed from Wrexham in 1961 for £15,500. He played in 15 matches and scored twice before rejoining Wrexham in September for £8,000. For a few players it was a last hurrah at Arsenal. Right winger Danny Clapton played for the last time. He played 225 times and scored 27 times. He and his brother Dennis are the last brothers to have played for the club at the smae time. Johnny Petts had joined as a trainee in 1954 but with National Service interrupting his career he only played 32 times in Arsenal's midfield before signing for Reading in October for £5,000. This was also a farewell to adoring fans from legend Jack Kelsey (picture bottom left). Kelsey was between the post for this his only club, 352 times. He is still to date the only goalkeeper to represent Wales in a World Cup finals tournament. He dislodged two vertebrae playing for Wales and had to retire from football. He became Commercial Manager at Arsenal until he retired in 1989 and sadly died iin March 1992. It was also the final match in charge for manager George Swindin who resigned shortly after and was then replaced by Billy Wright.

Arsenal were at Hillsborough for the concluding match of the season today in 1969. The Gunners put five past Sheffield Wednesday thanks to Bobby Gould and Jon Sammels' goals and a hat trick from John Radford. The 0-5 win meant that Arsenal finished 4th in the league and qualified for the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup along with Liverpool, Southampton and Newcastle United.

Eddie Kelly got the Highbury goal today in 1971 that gave Arsenal the 1-0 win over Stoke City in the penultimate match of the season. The Gunners would finish the season at the home of the noisy neighbours. The result today left Arsenal one point behind with one game in hand and a goal average 0.01 goals better than Leeds United. A 0-0 draw in the final match would win the League, but not a scoring draw.

At Highfield Road today in 1972 Arsenal beat hosts Coventry City 0-1 thanks to a Frank McLintock goal.

Centre back Scott Marshall celebrates his birthday today. He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1973. He joined Arsenal as a schoolboy in 1988 but didn't sign his professional papers until 1991. He made his first team debut in 1993 and all in all he played 26 times scoring once. He was named club's Young Player of the Year in 1996 but with no chance of dislodging Tony Adams or Martin Keown the Scotsman left on a free transfer to Southampton in 1998.

This date in 1980 saw Arsenal and Liverpool meet for the fourth time to find a winner in the FA Cup semi-final. This third replay was at Highfield Road and finally the deadlock was broken. Brian Talbot scored the only goal to make it a 1-0 Arsenal victory and the Gunners would play West Ham United in the final at Wembley.

Another former Arsenal player celebrates today. Aliaksandr Paulavich Hleb was born in Minsk, Belarus on this date in 1981. He was signed by Arsene Wenger from VfB Stuttgart in August 2005 and immediately was on show in the Community Shield season opener. The midfielder played 130 matches for Arsenal and scored 11 times. He left at the end of the 2007/2008 season and signed for Barcelona.

West Ham were the opponents today in 1982. Graham Rix and Alan Sunderland both scored for a 2-0 Gunners' win over the Hammers.

No problems for Arsenal on this date in 1989. Norwich City were brushed aside 5-0 in Islington and the Gunners took the points. David Rocastle, Alan Smith (2), Michael Thomas and Nigel Winterburn getting the goals.

Into the Premiership era and 19,044 spectators watched Arsenal and Everton play out a 0-0 draw at Goodison Park today in 1993.

More of the same on this day in 1996 when neither team could score at Highbury and it ended 0-0 between Arsenal and Liverpool.

On this day in 2001 Arsene Wenger signed 19 year old Brazilian left back Juan Maldonado Jaimez Junior. Juan only appeared twice for the first team, once in the League Cup and once in the FA Cup. He played well in the reserves but with Ashley Cole and Gael Clichy ahead of him in the pecking order he went for a brief loan spell with Millwall before returning to Brazil, joining Fluminense in 2004.

Yet another Premier League 0-0 draw today when Arsenal took on Birmingham City at Highbury in 2004. It was the 35th league game of the unbeaten season. With the title already won but four games to go the nerves on making it unbeaten all season started to show.

At the Stadium of Light today in 2006 Arsenal beat Sunderland 0-3. Sunderland put through their own net from a Thierry Henry free kick on 29 minutes. Cesc Fabregas chipped a goal in the 40th minute and only 3 minutes later Thierry Henry planted a free kick in the net. The only dark side to the day was an horrendous two footed challenge by Smith of Sunderland potentially ended Abou Diaby's career in the dying minutes of the match.

On this date in 2008 Danny Fiszman was seen to be instrumental in the sacking of Managing Director Keith Edelman. Edelman's legacy will be Arsenal's move from Highbury to the impressive 60,000-seat Emirates Stadium as it was he that primarily was responsible for overseeing the project.

This date in 2009 saw Stan Kroenke become largest shareholder in Arsenal with 28.3% of the stock.

Finally, on this day in 2011 Aaron Ramsey was the hero of the day at the Emirates as it was his goal that gave Arsenal the 1-0 victory over Manchester United.

Prue Leith: Great British Bake Off Judge (and Legend) Joins Edinburgh Foodies Festival line up 4-6 August 2017

Foodies Festival is delighted to announce that Prue Leith, the new Great British Bake Off judge set to fill Mary Berry’s shoes alongside Paul Hollywood on Channel 4’s new series, will be joining Edinburgh Foodies Festival this summer.

Visitors to Edinburgh’s Foodies Festival will be given the chance to ask Prue their questions about her illustrious career, cooking tips and of course, insight into the Great British Bake Off.   Prue set up Leith’s at the EICC, Edinburgh in 1995, which was one of her original catering venue partnerships and continues to build its world-class reputation. Following in Mary Berry’s footsteps is a huge challenge, but the producers of the show have said they are confident that Prue, the former Great British Menu judge, has all the attributes to match her predecessor. Born in South Africa, Prudence Margaret “Prue” Leith, CBE, has been a restauranteur, caterer, chef, television presenter/broadcaster, journalist, cookery writer and novelist. Her eventful career following training at Le Cordon Bleu has included everything from cooking lobsters for Princess Margaret to catering for the Orient Express Train.

  Chefs Theatre   Foodie fans can look forward to a celebrity and Michelin-starred chef line-up in the Chefs Theatre this summer, with Scotland’s top chefs showcasing their culinary skills and inspiring the audience with their delicious dishes. There will be a focus on culinary wellness, with farm-to-table dishes, sugar-free cooking and ‘feel good’ food trends. We’re delighted to announce that MasterChef Winner 2016 Jane Devonshire will also be cooking up her family favourites and showing the Foodies visitors how to make gluten-free healthy, comfort food.

These hands on workshops will continue the theme of healthy living with a creative twist on homemade herbal cordial cocktails and fruit sorbets.    Live Music, Restaurant Tents and Pop-Up Bars   Find out why Foodies Festival was hailed the “Gastronomic Glastonbury” by dancing along to the live music on our Entertainment Stage, and soaking up the atmosphere with a glass of Pimms from the Giant Pimm’s Teaport or double-decker BarBus. The Unsigned Music Stage is set to be bigger and better than ever and our VIP tent will have an exclusive acoustic music stage for the first time.

  Cook with Critters: Creative Healthy Living   There is a new bug-eating trend in healthy living, with Chef Dan Barber having declared that “Sushi of 30 years ago is the insects of today”. Don’t shy away from this new trend too quickly, as the insect food industry is booming and the Vietnamese Street Food Stand will be demonstrating how to cook with critters and the health benefits of doing so. Amongst growing research that eating insects may be the road to a more sustainable future, stop by to learn about the benefits of chocolate-dipped and candy-coated worms, scorpions, locusts, ants, caterpillars, mealworms and crickets! These tasty critters will also be sold in powder and flour form – a high source of protein - to bake, season and cook with.   For those brave enough, there’s a daily Bug-Eating Contest, where visitors compete against one another by eating jungle insects, from small ants to large juicy grubs, with the contestant eating the biggest and the most being crowned champion. The famous Chilli-Eating Challenge also continues in 2017, inviting fans of spice to compete in a challenge for only the bravest of visitors!   Drinks Theatre   Rum is the drink of choice for 2017, with experts predicting a similar innovation amongst premium rum brands as 2016 witnessed with gin. Our expert cocktail masterclasses will demonstrate that there is a lot more to rum cocktails than just mojitos.   Expert mixologists and sommeliers, including Neil Phillips and Charles Metcalfe, host wine, whisky, champagne and gin tastings, and beer connoisseur and writer Melissa Cole is on-hand with craft beer tutorials (well known in the UK for “taking the beard out of beer”). The Gin craze of 2016 is set to continue through 2017 and we will also have expert gin tasting and food pairing masterclasses, so there is something for everyone! As part of the ‘Healthy Living’ aspect of the festival, there will be more focus on health conscious drinks, including Monday Mocktails, teaching you how to cheer up your Monday without the hangover!   Street Food Avenue   Now in its 12th year, Foodies Festival attracts street food vendors from around the world, offering visitors the chance to take a culinary trip to all corners of the world. Japanese, Thai, Malaysian, Argentinian, Turkish, Indian, Korean, Mexican, French and African are just some of the flavours to feast on this summer. With everything from Crème Brulee campervans to flavours of Morocco and paella, we challenge you not to be lured in by the sensory overload of the Street Food Avenue.   Artisan Producers Market   A stunning array of Great Taste Award winners will be exhibiting at Foodies Festival 2017, each being hailed as a producer of ‘Exquisite, Outstanding and Simply Delicious’ food and drink. This is a fantastic opportunity for visitors to meet artisan producers from the local area and across the country, ask questions about their produce and story, and stock up on award winning produce. With over 200 stalls to peruse at each festival, visitors will be spoilt for choice while they meander between smoked salmon tasting stands, outstanding local cheeses, melt-in-your-mouth brownies, award-winning oils and chutneys, and much, much more.

Cakes & Desserts Theatre   From Great British Bake Off winners to baking extraordinaire Charlotte White, master chocolatier Fiona Sciolti and top local cake-makers and patisserie chefs, the Cakes & Desserts Theatre 2017 is set to be our best yet. This re-named theatre is set to expand to include not only top local bakers but also local chefs renowned for their outstanding desserts. From delectable desserts to show-stopping cake towers, these chefs and bakers will be inspiring visitors to reach for their spatulas and whisks at home to recreate their delicious summer bakes. Avid bakers can get hands on with our practical baking masterclasses or take part in our very own Bake Off competition.
