Not-so-friendly reminder that facing transphobia and being called an "it" as apart of said transphobia is not an excuse to disrespect it/its pronouns and refuse to use it/its pronouns for people who use them. You are transphobic for doing so.

If you are uncomfortable with it, if it is triggering for you to use said pronouns, that is something YOU need to work on. Not something it/its folks have to accommodate. (And before you have a go at me, I saw a reddit post months ago where OP's mother said she didn't want to use they/them for her child(OP) because it was triggering for her. Do you want to know what all the comments said? "If she's uncomfortable with they/them, that's something SHE needs to work on. You shouldn't have to accommodate her triggers by dismissing your identity." Why is this same message not said for it/its I wonder?)

And people who say they refuse to use it/its because "it is for objects" are using an almost identical rhetoric to how transphobes refuse to use they/them because "they is plural" or neopronouns because "that's not a real pronoun"

If your friend wants to be called it, exclusively or not, you will respect its fucking pronouns.
