#kirby#daily kirby#my art#digital#hal laboratory#nintendo#waddle dee#(sort of)#one of my christmas presents was my wife's old desktop computer that she'd beefed up for video games#a while ago granted but still#so I did some more work on getting it set up today and then spent 5 hours playing house flipper :)#big kid computer means I can actually play pc games again#beyond full perfecting cook serve delicious on low graphics lol#also I knew my brother had given me a yakuza game a while ago that I hadn't opened because I was still on my laptop#but it turns out he gave me two yakuza games#so once I get the controller set up I can play yakuza 2 also!#I really enjoyed yakuza 1 except for a couple bs sections in the story and the very very last side mission.#(having a more powerful computer also means once I get the peripherals squared away I can start video captioning)#(and maybe hopefully stream occasionally)#(I really wanna stream my partner playing ace attorney because I want to have his reactions on record for myself lol)#(he loves puzzles and he grew up in the moon logic video game days and he has some background in criminology)#(so either he'll get super into it or he'll absolutely hate it I think lol)#(I've done a very good job of not spoiling anything)#(I know the court segments well but I might keep a guide on the side for the investigation segments)#(I never had that much trouble with them tho cuz I tend to be thorough and methodical)

it's genuinely veeeeery odd to me that I can be off antipsychotics and be regular for very very long periods of time then BAM something with no other explanation happens. like the kinda paranoia I experience sometimes is Not Normal but it's also not often enough or long enough to warrant a diagnosis/meds. Thank you to everyone who gave me computer mouse suggestions, I really do appreciate them. I had a few picked out to try but ultimately went with the significantly riskier method of Buying Some Random Mouse I Found At the Thrift Store, not exactly a recommended option but one that did only cost me $3
#actually i bought 3#one is missing the dongle#one has the dongle but also has exposed circuitry when you open the battery compartment??? appears to be an intentional design choice#baffling#the third is wired and the one i will most likely be using#although it is a bit flat for my taste tbh#its a dell tho#their computers are a joke but their peripherals have always held up well for me

today. i have experienced the HORRORS (opened laptop for morning meeting while seated between boss and coworker; was greeted with ao3 page i forgot to close last night)
#it’s fine it’s fine i THINK it’s fine. both of them were looking at their own computers and i closed that shit SO fast and i have no reason#to believe that either one of them is online enough to know anything about ao3 much less enough about what it looks like to recognize it#from peripheral vision/during the quick glance they might have had the opportunity to get#fortunately my other coworker who i know IS quite online (the two of us literally had to team up to explain a meme to the other two people#that i was sitting between later during this VERY meeting. which i was so cool and normal during by the way) was sitting over on the#opposite side of the table. and i was cool about it externally. and they had no reaction of any kind. so#nevertheless. HORRORS. it wasn’t even like a story was open which would have been just a wall of text it was like. a search result.#displaying clearly and distinctly the site’s formatting#it doesn’t help that the rest of today has also been extremely stressful and the next few days will be much the same because there are#some Things i have to do that are fairly high-stakes and that i’m extremely stressed about. fun! fantastic!#i was literally only ON ao3 last night in the first place to try to pregame/destress ahead of having to come into work this week 😭#and i already fucked up something important today that’s setting a bunch of things back for multiple people. and i feel like i’m going to#get my period in the next day or two which would make it a week early if it happens. super fun. amazing!#guess i’ll just keep riding the adrenaline-fueled train wreck that never stops all the way through friday!#caseyposting

alright people i desperately need a mouse that
has a plastic surface scrollwheel (both G502s I've had eventually started corroding)
lasts without the scrollwheel starting to jitter or switches breaking for a reasonable amount of time
is relatively comfortable as a right-handed claw gripper
doesn't have stupid gamery shapes and grooves and textures for grime to accumulate in (looking at you corsair)
can be taken apart for cleaning and repairs without bullshit(my razer mamba elite's scrollwheel keeps deteriorating and I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF THE SCREWS ARE UNDER THE BIG STICKER OR THE PADS)
is wired
weight mostly doesn't matter but i prefer medium-heavy
i am so fucking tired of having to buy a new mouse every year or so cause some cheap scrollwheel or click sensor goes fucky and the screws to open it are more hidden than the US nuclear codes to the point where if you open the mouse you've basically ruined it. i need something i can do maintenance on myself
