A more shadowhunter based question - what do you think his favourite weapon will be??

Every shadowhunter has a favourite weapon, Julian with a crossbow, Emma with Cortana, Livia with sabres, Cristina with her butterfly knives.

For me I see three possibilities for Kit and which ones he’d like best. Bow & Arrow, Katana, or similar to Cristina, butterfly knives (or any kind of dagger)

Ngl im lowkey rooting for Katana. I think he would really enjoy that. I know in SOBH we learn that Kit just lives a normal-ish life, but I do hope he gets to go on shadowhunter missions every once in a while!

i stand by the theory that bc there will be so many links to arthurian legends, we have gotta see someone with excalibur and i predict that that may be kit (entering his arthur pendragon era) ;)

My Father, in particular, works for a research intensive university, which means that he ends up in all sorts of trades, learning random pieces of information.

My mum works with DNA and other human molecules. The technology we have now means that we could basically do whatever we want to a person, we just don't- it's illegal.

The principle is that if you can do it to ape DNA, you can do it to a person, and we can do a hell of a lot to apes.

Probably the best thing she's done is put bacterial genes inside jellyfish to make them glow green.

Someone could have done that to you as a foetus, they just didn't.

Anyway, science is cool, and I'm still going to disappoint my parents by becoming an amoral, humanities-worshipping, child-of-diablo lawyer :D

the thing that infuriates me the most is how the ineptitude of generative AI is causing the public to conflate it with the general domain of AI. People don't realise just how much useful AI has been developed throughout the years. The old search mechanism that got us the most relevant results and sometimes highlighted on the results page the most relevant parts of the article was AI. That they're replacing this with a much poor-performing genAI bullshit is just such a loss. Generative AI is for generating shit, not giving information. It has no use case whatsoever in search engines. Whoever is running this shit has worms for brains.

actually iwas thinking about saying sowmthing. earlier and that last post reminded me

we’ve started making a. website as just a general personal/portfolio website but also to host powerhouse and make it interactive media

but along with that one of the things i want to do on the site is try and imitate cable and broadcasting because i really really love it T_T

and i want to basically try and figure out how i can schedule stuff for the week or month and eventually if people are interested give them their own “channels” on it if they want their stuff streamed through sowmthing that imitates cable ^_^ but like woukd connect back to where they originally posted it.
