Molina-verse HCs: What cryptid/ghost/legend would they be?

Ricardo: Baihu, or White Tiger; one of the Four Symbols of the Chinese constellations; sometimes called the White Tiger of the West; represents the west in terms of direction and the autumn season; as with the other three Symbols, there are seven astrological "Mansions" (positions of the Moon) within the White Tiger; location - China (the article wasn’t specific on regions or eras)

Doc Ock: Adaro; akin to mermen, they specifically have gills behind their ears, tail fins for feet, a horn like a shark’s dorsal fin, and a swordfish/sawfish-like spear growing out of their heads; believed to be the evil ghost of one who has died (Adaro is from the Arosi language, referring to the ‘evil soul’, which lives on as a ghost, whereas the Aunga refers to the ‘good soul’, which dies and moves on when the person dies), Adaro are said to kill fishermen by firing flying fish at them; location - Makira Island, The Solomon Islands (alt. Gegenees, six-armed giants)

Robert: Bödvar Bjarki, or ‘Warlike Little-Bear’; technically a human, but he has a fetch that is a monstrous bear, killed the king of Norway (Hring, who is technically his grandfather) and took his place, later visited his brother (who was an elk from the waist down) and was urged to drink the brother’s blood (which greatly increased his strength), went on to serve as an adviser to the king of Denmark, died in battle but not before he entered a trance-like state and had his fetch do heavy damage to the enemy’s army; location - Nordic countries, but especially Norway and Denmark

Harold: Vampire; undead humanoid with fangs, varies in style; a mythical creature that subsists by feeding on the vital essence (generally in the form of blood) of the living; undead creatures that often visited loved ones and caused mischief or deaths in the neighbourhoods which they inhabited while they were alive; wore shrouds and were often described as bloated and of ruddy or dark countenance, markedly different from today's gaunt, pale vampire which dates from the early 19th century; -there’s so much to this but it’s all really interesting look it up-, location - worldwide, primarily began in Eastern Europe

Harding: Caladrius; a snow-white bird; lives in the king's house; said to be able to take the sickness into itself and then fly away, dispersing the sickness and healing both itself and the sick person; location - Ancient Rome

Manuel: Incubus; a demon in male form in folklore that seeks to have sexual intercourse with sleeping women; the corresponding spirit in female form is called a succubus; The Late Latin word incubus ("a nightmare induced by a demon") is derived from Latin incubō ("nightmare, what lies down on one whilst one sleeps") and further from incubāre ("to lie upon, to hatch"). One of the earliest evident mentions of a demon sharing qualities to an incubus comes from Mesopotamia on the Sumerian King List, circa 2400 BC, where the hero Gilgamesh's father is listed as Lilu. Chandler: Barghest, or Barguest; a large black dog with fiery eyes, alt. invisible but accompanied by the sound of rattling chains; considered an omen of death; location - Northern England

Maxim: Lich; usually a form of “visually” undead, such as being zombified or as a skeleton; Lich is an archaic English word for "corpse"; creature is the result of a willful transformation, as a powerful wizard skilled in necromancy who seeks eternal life uses rare substances in a magical ritual to become undead. Unlike zombies, which are often depicted as mindless, liches are sapient revenants, retaining their previous intelligence and magical abilities. Liches are often depicted as holding power over lesser mindless undead soldiers and servants; Liches are sometimes depicted using a magical device called a phylactery to anchor their souls to the physical world so that if their body is destroyed they can rise again over and over, as long as the phylactery remains intact; location - since Liches are now more commonly seen in fiction than as a real-life urban legend, where they are varies, however I think it’s safe to say that the most popular original location for Liches was England

Big Boss: Jersey Devil; often described as a flying biped with hooves, but there are many variations. The common description is that of a bipedal kangaroo-like or wyvern-like creature with a horse- or goat-like head, leathery bat-like wings, horns, small arms with clawed hands, legs with cloven hooves, and a forked or pointed tail. It has been reported to move quickly and is often described as emitting a high-pitched "blood-curdling scream"; The Lenape people who originally inhabited the Pine Barrens believed the area was inhabited by a spirit called M'Sing, which sometimes took the form of a "deer-like creature with leathery wings." Then there’s the popular folklore: the Jersey Devil originated with a Pine Barrens resident named Jane Leeds, known as "Mother Leeds." The legend states that Mother Leeds had twelve children and, after finding she was pregnant for the thirteenth time, cursed the child in frustration, crying that the child would be the "devil." In 1735, Mother Leeds was in labor on a stormy night while her friends gathered around her. Hank: Skunk Ape; bipedal ape-like creature, similar to Bigfoot but with a distinct smell; known to raid food stores and stalk fishermen (and others probably); location - Florida, especially in and around the Everglades

Boris: Cat-sìth; resembles a large black cat, as big as an average-sized dog, with a white spot on its chest, typically depicted with its back arched; a fairy creature from Celtic mythology believed to haunt the Scottish Highlands, some believe that it’s not a fairy but actually a witch (they can only change into a cat nine times, the ninth change causing them to remain a cat forever, this is believed to be a possible origin of the “nine lives” thing), also believed to steal souls if they pass over a body before the burial (Late Wakes used as a means to keep the cat-sìth away, and no fires were lit near the body because the creature enjoys the warmth), on Samhain the creature would bless a house that left a saucer of milk out for it and curse a house that didn’t (mainly drying up the udders of cows so no dairy products could be produced), a specific cat-sìth known as Big Ears can be summoned to appear and grant the summoner any wish (the summoning, however, involves burning the bodies of cats over the course of four days and nights); location - Scotland

Arden: Mothman; humanoid, often described as “man-sized bird”; seen from November 15, 1966, to December 15, 1967 in Point Pleasant; the first newspaper report was published in the Point Pleasant Register, dated November 16, 1966, titled "Couples See Man-Sized Bird ... Creature ... Something"; there are many claims that there were paranormal events related to the sightings, and a connection to the collapse of the Silver Bridge; location - Point Pleasant, West Virginia

Dunlop: Dobhar-chú, aka Water Hound or King Otter; a large, otter-like aquatic mammal with a dark cross on its back, sometimes described as being half otter half dog, also has been described as half dog half fish; known to eat people, although the main legend goes that a woman was eaten, then her husband came and killed the creature only for its mate to rise out of the water and attack the husband… who then also killed that one; location - Ireland

Dick: Alovot; largely likened to a pheasant about the size of a chicken, with dark-brown plumage with lighter spots, has a small, comb-like crest (perhaps only in males), with short legs; a nocturnal creature, indicating that it is shy and cautious; feeds on rice, nests on stumps or logs, and its eggs are light brown and smaller than a hen’s; its primary habitat is dense forest; it takes flight with a heavy, low flight when surprised; location - Simeulue Island, Sumatra, Indonesia

Armand: Leshy; though he often has the appearance of a man, his eyebrows, eyelashes, and right ear are missing, his head is somewhat pointed, and he lacks a hat and belt. In his native forest the leshy is as tall as the trees, but, the moment he steps beyond, he shrinks to the size of grass; a sportive spirit who enjoys playing tricks on people, though when angered he can be treacherous. He is seldom seen, but his voice can be heard in the forest laughing, whistling, or singing; location - Slavic forests

Jim Bussey (ye ye I’m adding the other mortician baby): Ankou; appears as a man or skeleton in a black robe and a large hat that hides his face, welds a scythe, often seen on a cart or driving a black coach to collect the dead (accompanied by four black horses and two ghostly figures); either the first child of Adam and Eve, a cruel prince who lost a bet with Death, the king of death, or the first/last dead person of the year, often seen as a henchman of Death that protects cemeteries and collects lost souls; location - France, Wales, Cornwall

Andres: Chupacabra; depictions vary from reptilian-like to dog-like (for Andres I lean towards the dog-like version); vampiristic tendencies, specifically sucking the blood of goats and other livestock (‘chupar’ means ‘to suck’, ‘cabras’ means ‘goats’, so literally a ‘goat-sucker’); location - Mexico and Southwestern United States

Oswald: Fènghuáng; mythological bird, categorized (by Wikipedia) with phoenixes; found in Sinospheric mythology; reigns over all other birds; males were originally called fèng and the females huáng, but this distinction of gender is often no longer made and they are blurred into a single feminine entity so that the bird can be paired with the Chinese dragon, which is traditionally deemed male; a common depiction of fenghuang was of it attacking snakes with its talons and its wings spread; fenghuang is made up of the beak of a rooster, the face of a swallow, the forehead of a fowl, the neck of a snake, the breast of a goose, the back of a tortoise, the hindquarters of a stag and the tail of a fish; today, it is often described as a composite of many birds including the head of a golden pheasant, the body of a mandarin duck, the tail of a peacock, the legs of a crane, the mouth of a parrot, and the wings of a swallow; location - China

Edelweiss: Drop Bear; a massive koala; drop bears are described as unusually large and vicious marsupials that inhabit treetops and attack unsuspecting people (or other prey) that walk beneath them by dropping onto their heads from above; location - Australia

Diego: Duende; humanoid figure; comparable to dwarves, gnomes, or leprechauns; duende originated as a contraction of the phrase dueñ(o) de casa, effectively "master of the house", or perhaps derived from some similar mythical being of the Visigoth or Swabian culture given its comparable looks with the “Tomte” of the Swedish language conceptualized as a mischievous spirit inhabiting a dwelling; location - Mexico (variations seen across the world)

Hank is very well known in Nevada. So much so that they’ve started to influence the Nevadian pop-culture. In other words, for a Nevadian Grim Reaper looks just like Hank.

Cryptids & Creatures of Folklore Drawtober Day 16 — Crocodingo

Beginning in the mid 1800s, residents of Scotts County in Tennessee began to witness an incredibly strange creature roaming the woods and fields around their homes.

The first sighting occurred on the night of July 31st, 1839 and was reported by a man named Hank Lemon. Lemon claimed to see strange green lights in the night sky over his home that frightened both him and his two dogs. After the lights disappeared, there was a foul smell in the air and then Lemon spotted a strange creature moving through the woods behind his home. He described it as looking like a dog with the head of an alligator.

In the following days, months, and years, residents of the area would continue to report seeing what came to be called the Crocodingo. Several witnessed it catching fish. Later sightings claimed the creature was lurking around sewers which it entered through manhole covers. Sightings continue on until as recent as 2012.

Chapter 1: Welcome to Mystery Hack

Warning: Conspiracy theory, smoking, drinking.

Connor knocked on Kamski door, his new partner waiting beside him. After the android revolution and his success in the case and to stop the revolution, it cost him an upgrade, making him part of the FBI to keep investigating on the deviant.

This morning, while studying the default program, Connor had found a cryptid code hidden behind line of coding. It had taken him the entire morning to process everything and understand the logical behind it, but when he saw what was written, his program almost broke.

“RA9” was written, appearing in all the programs he had run. Even in his program. It was like a taunting revelation. 

So, Connor had contact Kamski who accepted is meeting without thinking, even after what happened last time. 

Chloe had opened the door, leading them to Kamski. And this time, Connor would get the information he wanted.

“I certainly didn’t expect to see the deviant hunter again. Where’s your partner?” Elijah Kamski said, his head pointing to agent Wilson.

Connor knew he was referring to lieutenant Hank Anderson. He felt a pull in his thirium pump, playing a quick self diagnosis.

“We do not work together any more” Connor admitted.

He chased the thought of that night away.

“We have a few questions for you.” Agent Wilson said, showing him the FBI insigne.

Kamski invited them to sit, asking Chloe to serve the agent.

“What do you want to know?”

Connor leaned forward, his hand joint together.

“I’ve made an interesting discovery. A line of code named RA9 is present randomly in every android program. Even mine.”

Kamski didn’t seem to react, letting him continued.

“During our research, we’ve noticed an occurrence between each deviant. They seemed obsessed with RA9. You coded every android, they are all based on your work. What do you know about this?”

Kamski leaned back on his chair, sighting. He looked away, probably thinking of a way out for himself, Connor thought.

“I don’t know anything.” He said, exhaling sightly.

“You must know, you’re the creator.” Connor continued.

Another sight. 

“I have a Wozniak.” he said, a smile on his face, looking away.

Connor frown. 

“What does it have to do with the case?” Agent Wilson asked.

“I am not the only programmer. I never was. We were two behind cyberlife creation. I am Jobs, Y/N is Wozniak.” He said, explaining his analogy.

Connor stayed silent. Cyberlife never mentioned her. In all his rapport, all the discussion, no one mentioned her. Kamski seemed to noticed Connor thought.

“They never talked to you about her, right?”

Kamski scoffed when Connor signed no with his head.

“No wonder. They hated her. She was smarter than me, a genius, but her idea weren’t exactly what they wanted. Everything i did she improved it. She worked on you before cyberlife forced her way out.” He continued

Connor thought of it. He only had one creator, at least, that’s what Amanda told him. If she had been lying about this, what did she keep away from him. They were no records of her in his program and cyberlife didn’t mention her anywhere. But the media did. And his analysis on Kamski revealed he was speaking the truth. Why were they hiding this from him.

“That would totally be her work if you want my opinion.” Kamski said, seeing Connor’s led flashing yellow.

“Where is she now?” Connor asked, raising from his seat.

The cocky smile Kamski had faded, falling into a thin line as he looked away.

“I don’t know. She disappeared two years ago.” He said, his voice lowering.

Once again, he was saying the truth. He doubted he would get any further information. 

“Than you for your cooperation.” Connor said, heading toward the door.

“Is cyberlife happy about your accomplishment? They must be thrilling now that they have a super puppy to stop deviant. Have they sent the new one already?” Kamski shoot to Connor.

Connor turned to him, observing the creator walking to him. Chloe's position shifted, becoming less welcoming to them. What would he mean by “new one”?

“I expected better from you Connor” Kamski said a few centimetres away from him, still moving to him.

“She certainly expected better too.” He whispered this time, colder.

His hand moved in the air, instructing Chloe to lead them out.

Later that day and, for the next few days, Connor had tried to find any lead toward this Y/N. He didn’t find any files about her. When ask Amanda, she denied him answer.

“There was never a Y/N at cyberlife.” She had said, simply, shifting the conversation.

One thing was clear in his mind. He needed to find this Y/N. 

He would hunt her down if he had too.

It was his mission.

16 May 2039

The investigation had hit a stop. Ever since his visit to Kamski’s house, Connor had found no other information. All he knew was RA9 was a code, the effect of that code remaining a mystery. All he had was a name that didn’t appear anywhere. 

Y/N L/N.

No social media, no bank account, no identity.

There was nothing for him to work on.

Agent Wilson sight, his finger massaging his temple. No one inside the FBI nor the CIA who had recently joined them had found anything.

It was a dead end.

The TV coming from the break room starting crackle. Connor frown his eyebrow, seeing agents running around suddenly in panic, screaming orders. 

“What’s going on?” Wilson asked.

“Someone has hacked all TV channels, diffusing a countdown. It’s fucking worldwide.”

“All?”

The agent in front of them nodded. Connor headed toward the break room, sneaking past the others officer. Then he saw it. On a black screen, the countdown was running down.

“2 Days 7 hours 14 minutes.” Connor registered.

“Someone found these bastard.” The chief screamed.

“Connor, with me, now.” He said, exiting the room.

18 May 2039

The silence was palpable in the FBI office. Each person was at their post, ready to intercept whatever would go through in the next few minutes.

It had been 2 days 7 hours and 8 minute since the countdown had appeared on the screen. In 10 minute, the countdown had disappeared, sending back all TV program. Like nothing happened. The FBI hadn’t been able to find out where it came from. Now, they were waiting patiently to see if it was a world threat, or just a simple joke.

In any minute now, they would have the answer.

2 minutes left. The tension filled the room.

1 minute left. The chief had raised his arm, ready to send the orders for all the best hackers of his team to find any information about them.

All TV screen shut down, going black. 

No one was breathing.

A dark grey room appeared, lighten by a simple light in the background. Empty if it weren’t for the armchair in the middle of it and a white board right behind it. 

Someone was sitting on the sofa, faced masked. They were wearing a black suit with a tie, hand resting over their crossed leg. The masked was a reference to “Vendetta”. Clearly it couldn’t be any good sign. 

The person in the sofa seemed to go to life, raising from their sit, tightening their tie back.

“Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the mystery hack. I will be your host for the next month, guiding you through every dark secret, conspiracy the government had keep away from you dear citizen.”

The hackers had been already tapping over their screen, trying to find any clue. The voice of the host was cryptid. The only thing Connor could identify was that the person seemed to be a woman, therefore more than half the population. 

“Let me guide you through this journey with a simple topic for today. To your precious life, my team and i have been gathering information from our respective job inside the government to put thing right. We will provide you all information, accompanied by the reports and states document. Because the government have been lying to you, and we want you to know the truth.”

Everyone in the room had grown pale. 

“Does anyone have anything? Anything to even shut them down?” The chief’s voice sounded urging.

Everyone in the room nodded no.

“Don’t worry, we will go crescendo. I said that to all the FBI and CIA watching.” They joked, waving. 

Nothing could be used. Every time the team find a location, it changed, over and over again. The signal was too cryptid to shut down anything. The worst part was, it was everywhere.

The person on the screen walked toward the white board, flipping it, revealing a title.

“JFK’s Assassination.”

“For fuck’s sake’s, someone stopped it.” The chief order, only to encounter defeated look.

“We can’t”

“All of us have heard about conspiracy theory, though, let me give a quick definition. A conspiracy theory is an explanation for an event or situation that asserts the existence of a conspiracy by powerful and sinister groups, often political in motivation.”

The host sat on the armchair, hands crossed on her knees. She turned to the headboard, before returning face camera.

Everyone had stopped their action in the office, now in admiration of the show. Whoever this person was, she knew how to keep the audience.

“We all have heard about fake death, disappearance, assassination. We’ve seen these case with Martin Luther King Jr or Nelson Mandela, the Princess Diana. I know you all loved her very much. So did i.”

On the internet, the “Mystery Hack” research had been exploding all record for the past few minutes.

“I will talk to you about the sadly famous John Fitzgerald Kennedy assassination. Let’s head back to the 22 November 1963. The President of the United States, JFK got shoot in the head in Dallas.”

For 10 minutes that felt like an eternity, the host kept going, proving her point with legit report, autopsy report, contract with the CIA and even recordings and mail exchanged that people in the room didn't seem aware of. Truly it could only be seen as legitimate. The allure of the host, appealing and charismatic only induced trust. It wouldn’t take much for the public opinion to be on their side, especially after the disaster of the peaceful revolution the deviant had lead months ago. 

They couldn’t expect a better timing to do their propaganda. 

“I got something.” Someone screamed.

It was too beautiful. Like a purpose act that they find something just now. Connor knew it was no coincidence when the host had a look at the watch attached to her wrist. 

“14 minutes and 56 seconds. Not bad for a first time. No worries, the next time it won’t be as easy.”

They knew they were in. They let them in on purpose.

“Well, until our next meeting dearest.” 

The screen goes black, cutting all information, all access. 

“It’s over.” one of them in the room said.

Connor was at a bar exit. His partner had needed some air, talking about going to one of the pubs in Detroit. Connor had followed him, thinking it would be faster to stay at his side if any news appeared.

He hadn’t been allowed in the bar though. There he was, waiting outside, his coin in his hand.

Someone exited the bar. A woman. She sights, looking around before searching for something in her purse, only finding an empty cigarette pack. Another sight.

Connor moved his hand to his pocket, taking the cigarette pack he kept for his partner, handing it to the woman. He had learned agent Wilson could be easily frustrated without his nicotine. Since he seemed to forget a lot to buy new cigarette, Connor had made a secret stack.

“I didn’t know android could smoke. Thank you.” She said, offering him a warm smile as her fingers grasping for one of the cigarettes.

“We can’t. It’s for my partner.” He said simply, putting the coin back in his pocket, alongside the cigarette pack.

He turned looking at her, observing all her movement. She was wearing a black dress matching with black heels, her hair was loosed on her back. The woman was smaller than he. Connor felt something familiar emerging from her. 

She looked back, feeling observed and Connor turned his head away, ashamed to be caught staring. 

He expected to end it here, but the woman moved closer to him, and he shifted toward her. 

“You’re the deviant hunter right? Connor?” She asked.

“Yes.” He answered?

A nod. Then, her hand moved to his neck. He didn’t pull back, blushing slightly when she straightens back his tie, his cheek tinting with a soft blue shade. That couldn’t be normal, he thought, running a quick diagnosis. 

“There, perfect pretty boy.” She said, looking at him with soft gentle eyes.

Connor felt his cheek burning harder under the praise.

“Thank you, Connor, for the cigarette.” she said, patting his vest, her finger lingering over the serial number. 

The cigarette ended up crushed on the wall as she head back inside.

“What’s your name?” He asked, turning to see her.

“Y/N. My name is Y/N.”

- sanmos 4 lyfe (big sloppy heart emoji) they are both like playfully flirty in diff ways with other people but also so so monogamous at the same time they love eachother sooo much have the healthiest relationship known to man. ignore all the killings.

- 2bhank with the same energy as medic tf2 x heavy tf2. but like also 2b is catboy herder for hank. he holds the laser pointer in the relationship. hank isn’t like full creature I’m still the kind of girlie to place him solidly as kind of the stoic and dysfunctional sociopath but he’s got some of those beasty tendencies in him. the two have such strong attachment to each other but they both have such difficulty expressing it. hank doesn’t know how human well and 2b simply isn’t a soft person even when he wants to be. but they work with what they have. deimos and sanford are so invested in their relationship they chitchat about it constantly. in the most supportive way they want it to go well they just talk about the two being cute and try to help when they hit rocky points. the power couple is so stable they can take on other couple’s drama.

- I don’t know what the ship name is for tricky and hank but there’s like a tiny bit of that too. tricky is hank’s crazy ex but they were never in an actual relationship clown has just been desperate for the dick day one and has not let up for a single second. especially after the halo fiasco literally everyone hates them but they stay silly

- whitehank exists because of something along the lines of hank’s genome getting copied to aahw database when he went in the magnifier and using that agency got the bright idea that if they can’t beat hank. they can make their own. I don’t know actually how she should fit into everything but I like the idea it feels appropriately silly for madcom. the only thing I’m really decided on is that she eventually switches sides and 2b, carrying the entire trans community of nevada on his old man spine, hooks her up on titty skittles and him and hank informally adopt her because cold sad clone babygirl needs parents. she’s like all of hank’s feral swagger if you made it sopping wet and also like garage band punk. I can’t decide if she’s musclegirl as I’ve drawn her before or make her skinny legend I need to lock down the vibes. One important design thing that i know is coming however is that since she’s a copy of mag hank specifically, while hank gets demagnified in my little post canon design shit, she does not, so she is de facto tallest out of the. what do you even call the gang. just the gang? agency for hank wimbleton? the motley crew. the dnd party. nevada’s most wanted. that one actually works we’ll go with that

- funny thing I’ve considered for sheriff is that after whatever happens in project nexus dude just. pisses off somewhere. half hooks up with jeb to make a neutral party for people who just want to fuckin live. while jeb’s on the offensive side of that trying to actively stop the madness sherrif is the defensive side just making settlements for normal people to live they lives. something along those lines. it’s quaint. him and whitehank get together maybe. little guy woos the giant cryptid lady with his southern charm.

- the auditor is workplace sexual harassment personified. simultaneously in the fanfic suave way and the restraining order kind. they talk like stephan weyte. they think they’re soo cool and when someone doesn’t think they are when they want them to they run away and cry.

- I wish I could come up with something for jeb to like round out the primary cast but like honestly he’s the one I spin around in my head the least. I like his motive of make shit normal but maybe he’s just like too clear cut. he’s already got a full character there’s nothing for me to add.

Different Paths: Optimus Prime

A series unique to this blog. Similar to my Trollhunters Path of the Familiar poll, it'll have three different mini scenarios per a character, the point of time where the major change occurs, and how it'll affect things in their respective universe.

For this one it shall be Optimus Prime specifically his Transformers Prime iteration. Well his Orion Pax incarnation as this occurs during those days. Either a feral Sparkling out in the wastes or the humble data clerk. After all, the start can cause the greatest ripples. Let's get begin!

Feralus Prime

There was an urban legend on Cybertron. A cryptid born from the wastes who made itself a den hidden amongst the populace of Iacon City. No one knows what the being was but the feat it perform garner an infamy unlike any other. Feralus stole the Matrix of Leadership.

Yup. A Feral Optimus Prime who didn't get integrated into Cybertronian Society. Orion Pax slipped out of Alpha Trion's grip during transport so the young Sparkling became lost in the big city. He stole what he can to survive and slipped away from whoever try to catch him.

Soon the fateful day came where Orion obtain the Matrix of Leadership. Did he steal it? Sorta of as lured would be more accurate. Orion Pax is like a feral dog before he got the Matrix. Skittish, quick to run, nab what garners his attention and most likely to bite if cornered.

Feralus/Optimus Prime is closer to a wolf with the Matrix of Leadership. He studies the situation, gauges the threat and acts with appropriate force. Instincts often guide where goes almost if someone is leading him. Optimus ends up on Earth by stowing away in a smuggler's ship.

He won't be lonely for long as a younger Raf will one day stumble upon the feral Cybertronian. Now Team Prime isn't actually a 'team' and is closer to refugees. Their contact with Agent Fowler can be chalked up to surveillance. Any serious 'Con activity is measure and handled appropriately.

Way more tight knit so events such as Cliffjumper's death is voided. Our three human protagonists become vital in not only getting Optimus socialized but ready for the encroaching danger. A lone wolf can't protect the entire pack after all.

Magnified Disaster

The Planet Cybertron has all manners of darkness lurking amongst the populace. Common thugs to corrupt politicians. There is a silent rule when it involves such folk. Watch your words. Or else you end up a twisted experiment like Orion Pax.

A conversation between Megatronus and Orion was overheard by the wrong person. On his way home, the data clerk is kidnapped for one sole purpose: experimentation. This latest test was the creation of a 'guard dog'. An enhanced Cybertronian bigger, stronger, ferocious and obedient.

*Anyone in the Madness Combat fandom knows what I'm about to do. For those who aren't, poor Orion Pax is going to become an unconventional MAG. A supersoldier created through mutation that's obedient to those they consider their master. Here's an example: normal Hank and Mag Hank.*

One fateful night, a certain grumpy medic stumbles upon a completely transformed and Energon blood soaked Orion. 35 ft tall mesh between Cybertronian metal and organic material consisting of crimson foreign clay like flesh, white sharp teeth, to pale spikes.

Ratchet becomes the altered archivist's caretaker and looks after him. Orion's personality remained mostly intact but his memories are spotty. As for the Matrix of Leadership, it became a desperate gamble to help stabilize the poor clerk's altered state.

Optimus Prime doesn't lead the Autobots thanks to his MAG status. The entire team are refugees who sought asylum on Earth. Unfortunately Optimus' past followed close behind as Megatron wants answers...and vengeance. Things come to ahead when three particular kids encounter the 45 ft titan that roams the desert at night.

Two Souls, One Body

Ever since the beginning, Orion Pax shared a body with 'Optimus'. A shapeless voice that serve as a guide and older brother figure to the young Cybertronian. It is only when the archivist came across the Matrix of Leadership did 'Optimus' become so much more.

Or Optimus Prime and Orion Pax are two separate entities. Anyone here watch Yu-Gi-Oh or know about the original protagonist Yugi Muto? In the show, an entity known as Yami Yugi lives inside a ancient Egyptian artifact called the Millennium Puzzle.

Through the puzzle, the two souls can switch control of the body. Or in this case Orion Pax can allow Optimus Prime to take over using the Matrix of Leadership. Just like Yugi, there are subtle differences that point out whose in control.

Orion's blue optics are a bit rounder and narrow if Optimus is in control. His voice is lighter when the shy data clerk manages their body. Finally Orion's battle mask has blue stripes that vanish when Optimus takes the lead.

This ability is mistaken for multiple personality disorder by almost everyone except for Ratchet, Megatron and Bumblebee. Only more observant or younger Cybertronians can notice the different air between both individual souls. A warm sunny day to a cool summer night.

The mystery of Orion Pax only begins to open when a certain red painted Cybertronian takes a different detour towards home base. Who knew three human kids are so good at hiding stuff? Ratchet needs a drink for the shenanigans to come.

How did you get into writing fanfiction?

I was writing fanfic as a kid before I even knew what it was, I was always coming up with little stories and ideas (it always ended up where I hand-wrote ~6 pages and proceeded to completely forget about it), but it was during the early COVID pandemic that I actually started getting into the fandom scene as a whole. I started reading fanfics when I needed a pick-me-up (@asteralpine's Loki's Lullabies series GOT ME THROUGH the pandemic, no joke, they're probably the reason I stayed sane), which then led to me experimenting with writing some of my own and daring to post it.

I had the benefit of finding a little writer-friendship with another writer on AO3 when I first started out (we both wrote for Hank McCoy and would comment on each other's fics), and they would comment on every chapter of my fic even though it was probably extremely obvious that I was a new writer who didn't always know what they were doing. I genuinely think that without that encouragement and feedback, I would have fizzled out and lost confidence as a writer, so I am forever grateful to brigid1318 on AO3 for helping me get started.

2. How many fandoms have you written in?

12, not counting rollovers (y'know like "X-Men: Movieverse" vs. "X-Men: Alternate Timeline Movies"). A couple of those are just gift fics or oneshots for friends, though, not regular fandoms I write for.

3. How many years have you been writing fanfiction?

Three and a half? Not counting all the things I wrote as a kid before I even realized they were fanfic

4. Do you read or write more fanfiction?

Hm... I'd say it's about a 50/50 split. At the moment I'm not really branching out and exploring new fics to read, I'm kinda sticking with trying to keep up with my friends' fics since I'm so busy right now, but I'm always writing something or another.

5. What is one way you've improved as a writer?

I think crafting my characters has really improved overall. My early OCs weren't awful, and there are elements that I still like about them, but my more recent OCs just feel so much more real and human compared to the old ones.

6. What's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?

Oh man... the history of the New York Aquarium - for my Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire fic, Heart in Your Hands. The weird part is that, since one of the characters is a ghost from 1915, I had to research both the modern version and the historical timeline, to make sure the character had the right perspective on it. And just the layout of NYC as a whole, since I've never been there myself.

7. What's your favourite type of comment to receive on your work?

I mean, I really love any comment I get and I will never complain (unless you're mean, but... y'know, that's a given), but I LIVE for the comments that pick out particular lines or moments that they noticed. I work hard to include symbolism, foreshadowing, or even just fun bits of figurative language in my writing, and I never know what gets noticed by the readers, so I absolutely adore comments that let me see inside a reader's head like that.

8. What's the most fringe trope/topic you write about?

Uh... Taking Flight as a whole is pretty fringe. It takes place in the Fablehaven fandom, which is tiny, and on top of that, it involves a lot of discussion into various cryptids and magical creatures, some of which are very obscure.

9. What is the hardest type of story for you to write?

Pure-blooded romance, for sure. I need there to be something else happening, even if it's small or weird or whatever. I've never been able to read or write a story that's solely about two characters getting together.

10. What is the easiest type?

I'm gonna say angst or horror. I watch a TON of horror movies (it's kinda my job lol) and read a lot of horror books, so capturing that whole atmosphere is really easy for me at this point.

11. Where do you do your writing? What platform? When?

Most of my writing is on AO3, though I've gotten into the habit of doing some writing here on tumblr too - mainly oneshots, ficlets, bonus pieces, etc., while the main fics or series are on AO3.

12. What is something you've been too nervous/intimidated to write, but would love to write one day?

I read the Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires a while back and was fascinated by the character James Harris (I want to slice him up and put him on microscope slides), and I want to write a piece exploring more of the book's themes of subtle manipulation and abuse. I haven't written it yet because 1. I don't trust people's reading comprehension and I worry it would be misconstrued as me glorifying abuse when it absolutely is not, and 2. I haven't seen anyone really talk about the book so I can't imagine many people would read it

13. What made you choose your username?

I chose my tumblr username first, then just made my AO3 username the same one. It's an anecdote about my personal life - I've got a ton of genetic mutations (my body is lowkey a total mess) so I'm 'practically an X-Man'
