So, Niwa strikes me as a cautious man as he did have an investigation into Disguised Dottore. And I would believe that he was not going to put his beloved in danger and confront Dottore together. He might have told them that he has his reservations and to be careful.

I do enjoy the idea of Niwa and his partner actually preparing their wedding by the time Dottore comes. But they were definitely courting prior to Scara joining them so we can make sure he sees the proposal part and possibly help. So by the time of Niwa’s death, we could go either route. They managed to marry and Niwa dies a newly wedded man, or he passes before then. Hm, maybe reader ended up marrying someone from the Kaedehara clan so Kazuha is very related to these two. Wedding preparations would also explain how Niwa could keep them busy and somewhat safer from Dottore.

You’re right, it is a can of worms. It mostly depends on how far we want the angst to go and what direction to take. Dottore may even kill Niwa’s partner so that’s a consideration. But if he doesn’t, Scara may view Niwa’s running away (which ends up a lie) as a larger betrayal given the whole wedding/marriage aspect.

Scara losing his sword is sad, he’s going to feel awful when he remembers. But for Niwa and his beloved, it’s a sort of eternal love isn’t it? Even their swords remember and carry on those memories. Oh, maybe Tatarasuna is where Scara first learned about kintsugi? And depending on circumstance, he could see a bit of them in puppet reader and aim to surpass their tragic love story. I’ll be looking into the lore more to try and map out Niwa and his reader’s story. I really do want to go the whole childhood loves trope because Scara and puppet reader mirroring it in modern au is so cute and how both couples grow close.

At least in modern au, we can switch Niwa’s occupation to a family run sword smithy to match canon. Those swords can be very beautiful. And then his modern issue would be preserving the craft.

And I do think that Niwa did in fact made extra caution to keep his lover safe, however after the fact, I think they would be one of the prime believers that he didn't run away as a guilty man and did their own investigation behind it (Niwa loves em because they're quite witty too, new hc), and before they could reveal or get payback Dottore also disposes them y-y

But yes yes I like to think that they were already a couple by the time kabukimono arrived, just so he can see them all lovey-dovey and confused about it hahaha I wanna entertain the idea of Niwa forging the ring himself too, like the effort and time it took to work with something so small and fragile, but he persevered because he wanted it to be extra special - fudge there are so many routes this could go huh I wouldn't mind them pulling of an Attack on Titan and marrying someone else but they still have Niwa close in their heart, that would at least make things more angstier for when Scara comes back to massacre the Raiden Gokaden but sparing the descendant after finding out it was Niwa's lover's

Now that I think about it, it wouldn't make sense if they're working on the wedding while Mikage Furnace is freakin killing others. So the wedding would probably be before the furnace acted up OR they pushed it aside to after it gets resolved because they wanted to focus on the safety of Tatarasuna first. It seems in-character for the both of them to care deeply for the people like that

And because of that, I want to think that they were the one who helped kabukimono/Scaramouche on the life skills he acquired like sewing, cooking, washing his clothes, like they're Raiden's replacement for him. But yeah, he's a sword dancer too oh crap maybe I DO want the wedding pre-death cuz I want them to do sword dancing in their wedding ceremony hehehe

Ahhhh if he did inherit their swords then Niwa's lover dying is a must, I'm sorry, I don't make the rules. But it's a good gift for puppet reader, and it would be their main weapon in Kintsugi *taking notes for sequel* the reason he lost it besides him being turned to a different person is because the new 6th was the one who had the other half. And yes fuck again, good hc I'm officiating it that he did learn how to do kintsugi there

Also childhood trope for Niwa and his reader?! Yes please I am so down for that, please come back with a full report! And yes, what if he makes cool katana orders for cosplayers too for commissions, that's a good way to preserve the craft, and maybe his lover wants to cosplay and that's how they met/got close hnghnghg

So I need to go to school so I’ve stopped playing Violet for now but I like it so far! It looks really promising!

Arven and Turo has definitely caught my attention though. First off, Arven’s personality isn’t what I expected it too be but I still enjoy him! Bro’s got daddy issues and I for one am going to examine him under a microscope. Also the ‘Arven is the professor’s kid’ theory is canon apparently. And with the little dialogue I’ve seen from Arven about Turo it doesn’t seem like a completely healthy relationship. I wonder what happened to Sada. Cuz I’m just gonna assume she’s his mom in Scarlet and still is in Violet, because it doesn’t make sense to me otherwise. Hopefully it’s brought up as I continue the game. Dead mom? Child of Divorce? Who knows what’s up with this family.

Turo is clearly had something scheming with Miradon but I’m to early in to tell if it’s for evil reasons or not. But Arven clearly knows Turo’s doing something given he knows about and had Miradon and is probably not happy with what his father’s planning. Also I find it hilarious he just- battles you with a Skwolet, gives you a legendary pokemon and leaves without explaining and doesn’t even bring it up next time you meet him. I just rambled on about Arven and Turo this entire post but they make my theorist brain go brrrr.

My only problem with this game so far is my Sprigitto won’t stop running around when I try to take a picture with it!!! I want photos with my weed cat! Also Shroodle is an ugly fucked up creature but it’s MY ugly fucked up creature.

why mcyttwt does not think some (if not most) of the time when it comes to mcc

if i post this in twitter, i’d surely get hated upon but someones gotta have to say this one day. also this does not target to mcytblr!!! this rant is more of towards mcyttwt!!!

remember how mcyt was so chill before all of this shit? how we would watch our favorite minecraters when the community was so small? or how mcc was an event that both ccs and fans can have some fun and entertainment once per month? and that was only last year too. now look at the new generation of mcyt fans and see why some of the old fans dont really associate the new ones.

as a fan of the old gen mcytbers like DanTDM, SkyDoesMinecraft, Aphmau and CaptainSparklez. heck im a fan of pewds’ minecraft series before dream or tommy or ranboo or the new gen of mcyt ccs blew up (a year before them if im correct), and we dont see drama or bad shit all the time when it comes to their content.

now compare that to the new gen where every single fucking day, a bored fan or anti would post shit drama in twitter where some of the people from twitter moved to tumblr just to not get a headache from the batshit craziness mcyttwt brought forth. and it just snapped more when the mccp21 rolled in.

heres some of my takes about the mccp21 issue:

1) “there’s a lack of representation of lgbtq+ in the teams!!!”

heres something to tell yall about that. scott doesnt have a fucking choice. scott smajor has told time and time again, WEEKS before the announcement of teams, that there are certain requirements and limitations to mccp21 thus there will be difficulty in choosing whos entering or whos not. limitations and requirements such as it will be streamed on youtube or how streamers with twitch contracts aren’t allowed to stream or (god bless scott’s good heart) scott not allowing some of the lgbtq+ streamers in joining the special event due to wanting them to have a chance to stream and experience their first mcc (so to those who said that ranboo should have been in mccp21, shut up ‘cuz scott wanted genderman to have fun streaming his first mcc but cant due to ranboo being a well-known twitch streamer). to those who complained that ant and velvet should be in the mcc, stop being selfish and do some actual research on why scott didn’t include them. a simple question to those two’s fans would answer that they can’t make it due to them camping for a week which within those days is the mccp21. they’re having time to themselves, not wasting it on a minecraft championship.

take in the consideration that, oh i dont know, not a lot of lgbtq+ ccs applied to the event? its not a free invite championship (in fact, mcc has always been like that), it’s an applied with the sufficient and correct requirements kind of event. the artist who created the icons from the previous mcc for the teams said that scott let in some of the new ccs in last minutes due to lack of applicants not meeting the requirements thus not having custom artworks for the teams if they want to announce the teams in time.

2.) “there’s no lesbians or trans in the teams >:(((”

sadly enough, there’s not much of the players from the lgbtq+ community but to say there’s no trans people in mccp21 is utterly false. by definition, trans mean denoting or relating to a person whose sense of personal identity and gender does not correspond with their birth sex. other genders such as non-binary, genderfluid, androgyne, bigender, gender expansive all fall under trans. you define yourself with the gender you personally chose and comfy with from you birth gender. so saying there’s no trans in the teams when there are players from the event like eret or sqaishey who are nb and genderfluid respectively are there to also represent not only the sexuality but also the gender identity of others??? like c’mon, please make sense mcyttwt.

also, while its sad to not see lesbians, please know that lgbtq+ doesn’t strictly be defined by lesbians. ffs, lgbtq+ literally means Lesbians Gays Bisexuals Transgenders and Questioning (or Queer but im not too sure about that one) which means that there are still other representatives for the community in the event.

3) “technoblade is in the event?!!! WHAT THE FUCK, HES A HOMOPHOBE/LESBIPHOBE-”

utter clowns, toxic twitter users are. do you really think that scott smajor, an openly gay man, would let a supposed “homophobe/lesbiphobe” in an event that focuses in supporting the lgbtq+ community? do you hear yourself? do you even do research where the joke he made was when he was the same age as me and it was based on a historical article back in WW2? or how he passionately supports the community especially the lesbians because a lesbian couple complimented him to which kickstart his confidence? the man willingly went to this mcc event despite being flamed a lot in twitter because he (and everyone) knows that his chat, his fans and supporters, are literal millionaires. if you saw a stream from foolish where he auctioned canonical characters for funs, a techno fan donated thousand of dollars to get technoblade, and that’s only one fan, now imagine a hundreds of thousands of them.

like it or not, technoblade has always been open about his support to the community, especially that majority of his fanbase are from the same community that mcyttwt allegedly swore that technoblade hates.

4) “since this mccp21 is pointless because theres no dteam, quackity, punz or (insert cc name), let’s have a watch party of the previous mccs to spite mccp21!!!” “let’s hope (insert cc name) stream on the 26th so mccp21 doesnt have the same amount of viewership like before!!!” “where are (insert cc name)??? gosh, this mcc is so boring without them!!!”

shut up shut up shut up shut up shut the actual fuck up. are you really seriously hearing yourself? are you willing and proudly boycotting a once in a year special event that is seriously needed by the lgbtq+ community? are you that cruel and selfish to sacrifice a project that helped tons of people just for your sick entertainment and desires? are you that evil to stop others from enjoying and donating to the trevor project? are you that inconsiderate of other ccs that aren’t part of dsmp and calling them boring? and for what? because your favorite cishet streamer isn’t there? oh booofuckinghoo! you’re so fucking petty to even post about this kind of tweets in public.

(edit: did yall honestly thought that without your favorite streamers that the mcc is not worth watching because they aren't there? well let me tell you, im a ranboo fan. ive watched him when he first entered the dsmp and watched him spinning in his unicorn chair for 5 minutes. the boo community waited for so many months for genderman to join mcc yet we didn't even do that kind of disgusting action and behavior every time he isn't in mcc. 8 months. that's how long ive watched him. ive waited 8 months for him to be in the event yet i still watch other povs like tommy's, puffy's, wilbur's, and etc., because it's fun and entertaining to watch them despite the beloved not participating in the games.

if you're that spoiled to not even watch mcc because (insert cc whose not part of mccp21 name here) isn't part of the roster then you most likely have a one dimensional humor because there will always be someone more funny and entertaining than them. i like dsmp don't get me wrong, but i found parrot's school smp funnier than dsmp yet you don't see me insulting both series, do you? learn to keep yourself if you're calling ccs as boring or dull or not entertaining enough due to not having the same big platform as the dsmp members.)

you don’t deserve to call yourself a fan if you’re doing this kinds of actions. in fact, people like you should be kicked out from the mcyt community because your kind of people are the reason why we look so bad from the outside. your toxic and self-entitled to these content creators are the reason why famous ccs like sbi, purpled, tubbo and almost ranboo left twitter/implied strict rules to their subtwts. you drove out an entire friend group that tons of fans found comfort in from the platform and you still have the audacity to this kind of shit? honestly, just leave before you give me a headache.

what im sayin’ is that mcyttwt is one of the worst, if not THE worst, subtwts out of the other subtwts in twitter. having no actual research or evidences or spreading false information is common in twitter where you would have to take what they said with a micro size grain of salt. mcyttwt already ruined the fun and spirit of mcc during its comeback in mcc14 due to the glitch and beta testing shit (ey i still stand for the ranboo beta testing but i know that will be worthless since theres hints of him joining soon in mcc15). if you’re still in mcyttwt, i suggest to get out of there while you still can. we’ll never know if there’s a bigger shitstorm than this in the mcyttwt that may happen in the future.

edit! hi bella again, ive been told by a polite and cool user that not all people from mcyttwt are toxic and/or cruel. im going to clear something up here. ive written this during the heat of the announcement of mccp21 teams. so there's a lot of complains and/or entitled people in the app (you can even see it in my previous post too if you want evidences!) that gave off mostly negative vibes towards the event.

ive seen the cool ones who actually took the consideration for scott's side and the criticism of the lack of representation of other communities within the lgbtq+ umbrella (ive even share some parts of it above so im also a bit upset to the lack of numbers in the community). and some of them are correct about recruiting lgbtq+ creators in youtube but! like i said, it's an applied event and not invitational one, so its up to that content creator if they want to join or not. the amount of cishet in the roster are just those who want to support the cause and/or backups/stand-ins in case scott and noxcrew can't find enough ccs in time!

just wanna clear this up because mcyttwt these days are covered by really cringe fans (ive noticed a pattern of them mostly new ones but there are still awesome new fans (like my irl friend who just joined this year) within the community) that covered the good ones where they enjoy, have fun and share some neat ideas and thoughts to the community within the platform!

when i said to get out of the mcyttwt while you still can, i meant to get out of there to avoid drama (that is really small contrast those who really need to address the issue) and take a break from it. it's still your choice if you want to be surround by it or not or if you want to come back to the app. all im saying is to buckle up for the shitstorm cuz this is not the last time that the twitter side of mcyt will cause negativity to the community.

Oh!! I would love your thoughts on some things that confuse me re: Vulcans. In Immunity Syndrome- Spock obviously feels the “death screams” of 400 Vulcans who are suddenly killed. He’s basically incapacitated temporarily and collapsed. But then in AOS Spock feels the death of 6 billion Vulcans and?? I mean he’s sad and emotionally compromised but there is nothing to indicate that he’s in physical pain. I mean some of it is plot (if he had passed out, Kirk would have taken over wo being sent to delta Vega and meeting Spock prime). But do you think there is a reason it didn’t effect him? ALSO can we talk about the fact that Spock used MIND CONTROL in a taste of Armageddon and they just….? Forget he can do that? Sir. What exactly ARE your telepathic abilities? (In the Devil in the Dark they kinda imply that all Spock really needs to do to read minds is lower his mental shields- which…? Isn’t he a touch telepath? But he can feel the horta’s pain by just being around?) is Spock just unusually gifted?

The simple answer to the first question is ‘JJ Abrams sucks at allowing men (Spock especially) to feel emotions other than anger or desire because blah blah he doesn’t even like Star Trek blah blah blah used Spock as self insert cuz he thought Zoe Saldana was hot blah fucking blah toxic masculinity’. I love AOS Star Trek Beyond and I don’t have the same issues with AOS every one does, but I do loathe JJ Abrams with a burning passion. While Vulcan getting destroyed was a really fascinating choice, it didn’t get the magnitude it deserved. Any emotional processing Spock did that conveyed sadness I credit Zachary Quinto for, because his other reactions (via, the most aggravating of writing) were mostly anger. Which I Did Not Like At All because while it makes sense for Kirk to have fundementally changed via events of the Kelvin timeline, Spock’s life had no divergence from canon up until meeting “my dad is dead and now I’m trauma cubed instead of trauma squared” James T Kirk. But I digress. TL:DR, there was no reason Spock shouldn’t have been completely incapacitated at that shockwave of Vulcan death, JJ Abrams is just an idiot, so let’s assume there’s no K’war’ma’khon in the AOS timeline or something idk.

The reason Vulcans can feel each other’s deaths is the psychic network that connects Vulcans to their familes, and those individuals to their families, spreading so far that all Vulcans are connected, it’s called k’war’ma’khon and it’s one of my favorite things about Vulcans ever, periodt, so full of love I can’t even get into how cool I think that is with just words. Those bonds being formed through being touched and held so often by one’s family that you don’t have to touch them to necessarily reach them because you’re already familiar with their patterns. Kind of like how children are naturally hypersensitive to the emotional state of their primary caretaker. Bonded Vulcans can read each other’s thoughts at occasionally incredible range without touch, like Spock sensing Kirk at the edge of the galaxy while he was on Vulcan in the TMP novelization.

Spock actually uses his ability to temporarily puppet someone holding him prisoner twice! A Taste of Armageddon and By Any Other Name. It seems to be an uncommon Vulcan genetic trait that Spock has minor access to. There is background lore to Vulcans having had “psionic warlords” in the past, skilled Vulcan telepaths who could stretch their mental influence into massive amounts of people. It’s essentially, I assume, the k’war’ma’khon and the skills that come with it, being used for ‘evil’. Sybok, Spock’s half-brother actually uses this ability to build his cult and brainwash the Enterprise crew in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.

I figure this has something to do with a combination of the following:

Some Vulcan’s “mental static” range around themselves are larger than others. Like Sybok being able to create a sizable cult. Or That One Time Sarek set the emotional balance of the Enterprise crew way off balance just by having Vulcan Alzheimer’s.

Maybe the aliens brains being of similar or compatible structure to Vulcans to allow ranged vulcan telepathy. Where as Humans, Horta, and most other species do not.

For Spock, as shown especially in By Any Other Name, the effort to do so is extremely taxing and thus rarely used. Maybe it doesn’t always have super immediate side effects which is why he doesn’t react too extremely in A Taste of Armageddon. Sybok is significantly more trained, powerful, and fully Vulcan genetically than Spock, which might explain why he doesn’t suffer in the way Spock does.

So yes, Vulcans are primarily touch telepaths, but there are exceptions to that rule throughout canon that can be explained away the way I just did.

Why I Believe Angel and Husker Will (or Should) Be Endgame

As a shipper and a writer, I pride myself on finding the meat in shipping material, and despite how little official content for it is available, Hazbin Hotel’s juiciest pairing (by my observation, and not counting Charlie x Vaggie cuz that’s already canon) is Huskerdust or Angelhusk, the main mlm pairing in Hazbin Hotel between Angel Dust and Husker. While I’m a big fan of any mlm pairing no matter how small the serving size, this one is an absolute feast, and I want to explain why I think that is, because Angel flirts with multiple men in the first episode, namely Sir Pentious, Alastor, and Husker. So he just comes across as a relentless flirt, but I believe his destiny truly lies with the grumpy sourpuss bartender.

Given what we’ve learned about Angel Dust from the Addict music video and the prequel comic, it’s becoming clear that Angel doesn’t exactly love his situation. He pretends it’s fun and glamourous for his image, but it’s all an act. In the very last pannel for the comic, we can even see a box of dildos in his room with the words “for fun” crossed out, and the box being relabled as “work stuff”. I believe that Angel’s arc and character growth will be strengthened by having a love interest who cares about Angel as something beyond a sex object. Travis and Valentino clearly only see Angel as a piece of meat. Even Tom Trench one of the... less horrible denizens of Hell we’ve met, only recognizes Angel as a porn star, implying that he too only values Angel for his body. The creators have even verified that Angel will have a love interest in the series. So, that’s the easy part. Angel’s very clearly a gay man, and him having a love interest will help put the romance back in relationships with men for Angel. No surprises there. So why will/should it be Husker who fulfills that role as Angel’s redeeming lover?

In the simplest terms, it’s because their needs fit together perfectly. Angel needs someone to care about him romantically that also values his emotions, mind, and autonomy instead of just his body. Husk has likewise pretty much spelled out the flaw he needs to fix. He lost the ability to love years ago. Whether he just shuts out his emotions, someone broke his heart and now he’s jaded and bitter, or he freezes out his feelings so he won’t get hurt again, Husk has rejected love and his feelings. Learning to love and open up to Angel helps Husk to overcome those toxic coping mechanisms. Especially because his other vices such as drinking, are an extension of his core issue. His hang-ups with love. He drinks to forget and suppress. Overcoming his issues with his emotions will help Husk free himself of other sins in the process. Now the important issue though, does Husker even like boys? Yes, he does. Husker was confirmed by members of the crew to be pansexual, so he is capable of finding Angel attractive. Also, on a related note, Alastor is both Asexual and Aromantic, so he’s very unlikely to give Angel the core thing he needs, the tender appreciation of his romantic partner. That’s not to say Asexuals and Aromantics can’t date, it’s just less probable. And all the other males are either villains, or objectify Angel already. Which kind of leaves Husker as the best candidate for Angel’s love interest, at least currently. In fairness we know very little about Baxter, but that’s the thing. Without knowing anything about him, we can’t really weigh him against the other options.

Character design is very important, as it can provide visual cues about a character. Looking at these two, they share a lot of similarities. Starting from the top, while not visible here, there is a heart-shaped spot on the back of Angel’s head, and this heart appears as well on Husker’s forehead, palms, and wings. More importantly, I may be wrong, but I believe the only characters with hearts in their design are all connected to Angel. Only Travis and Val share this heart motif, two men Angel has had sex with, though in Valentino’s case, it's not always willingly. They share their wearing of a bow tie, but to be fair, Charlie wears one too, as does Sir Pentious, so it’s a weak connection. Color theory also matters. Firstly, they are Yin and Yang. Angel is mostly white with a few dark accents, while Husker is mostly dark gray/black with white accents. Angel’s left eye, bow tie, and shorts/skirt are also the same color (or pretty close) as Husker’s darker fur patches on his forearsms, ankles, ear tips, and whiskers. The stripes on Angel’s top also repeat in Husker’s ears. Finally, while not repeating on Angel’s design, Husker’s fur on his ankles resembles spats, a fashion trend from the early 1900s. Although this trend was pretty dead in widespread use by the 1940s, it remained popular with gangsters and mafia, so much so that it’s almost a streotype of mafia. Angel’s family was an Italian crime family involved with mafia dealings. So while it makes little sense for a man who died in the 1970s to be wearing spats, it connects him to Angel’s ballpark of time as well as drawing connections to Angel’s past and his family.

Hazbin Hotel has Instagram accounts for the characters, and using Husker (bar_cat75) Angel Dust (angie_fluffy_bootz) and Niffty (babyfeathrdustr), we can put together further developments in their relationship off-screen. Starting with one of Husker’s posts, we see Angel leaning on the bar offering him a ticket to his “peep show”. The next post shows Husker still at the bar, but now there’s drool on the counter, and we can see the back of one of Angel’s legs and the red smoke from the Addict video trailing behind him with the line “Fuck, I passed out. Did I miss something?” Next, there’s a post from Niffty of Angel leaning on the railing smoking as he does in the post-credits sequence of the Addict video. Granted, I can’t tell how much of Addict is prequel and how much is happening in real time following the pilot, but we know at least the ending is canonically after the pilot episode. Seems like Angel wanted Husker there (we don’t know if he offered tickets to anyone else) and he seems bummed that he didn’t go, with a later message from Husker (that I can only seem to find in Tumblr posts) with Husker realizing that he missed Angel’s show and feels bad about it. As “owing” Angel a favor for missing his show, Angel leaves his beloved pet pig Fat Nuggets in Husker’s care, who proceeds to eat all of Husker’s limes and cherries. Now it is very important to point out that Fat Nuggets seems to fill the dual role of “purse dog” and emotional support animal for Angel, so leaving him in Husker’s care shows a lot of trust because this animal means a LOT to him. There’s also apparently rumors that Alastor keeps trying to eat Fat Nuggets which... I haven’t found a credible source for. But if Angel is worried about Fat Nuggets’ safety, him trusting Husker to protect his pig only further demonstrates his trust in the grumpy old booze cat. Upset about all the fruit Fat Nuggets ate (because it’s not easy to get in Hell) Husker wants Angel to pay to replace what the pig ate, but Angel argues that because Husker owed him a favor it’s not his responsibility. Angel says he’ll pay him if Husker agrees to come to his next show, and they compromise to get milkshakes instead. The creators said Husker was a Tsundere, and it shows. Someone called their outing a date, and Husker was QUICK to shout that it wasn’t a date, just settling up on a favor. This almost plays out like an episode 2, turning the Addict Video into the jumping off point for a second story in the hotel. I don’t know how many full narratives will come out of the Instagram accounts like this, but it’s really cool how they’re approaching this almost like a multi-media story, and I’m curious to see if this will continue when the show starts airing on television. One last thing of note is that in Angel’s latest post, there’s pictures of Fat Nuggets, Cherri Bomb, and Husker on his bedroom wall, much to Husker’s annoyance. In all of these Instagram posts, Angel seems to now be training ALL of his attention on flirting with Husk, to the point that unless another character sweeps Angel off his feet or causes Angel to start flirting with them instead of Husker, I think this pairing is sailing quickly and unopposed toward the canon zone.

I hope I’ve provided sufficient proof to back up my wild accusations, but I sincerely believe all of the building blocks have already been assembled to create a compelling romance between these characters. The flaws they need to overcome interlock with each other perfectly, their designs draw connections between them, and their Instagram accounts weave together a narrative for a soft Episode 1.5. I believe all of this together points that these two are meant to become a romantic couple, and if they aren’t, then maybe the showrunners should consider it.

(Technically this takes place in my ghoul!Kaneki au, but all you need to know, is that Kaneki is a natural-born full ghoul, had a rough childhood because of being a ghoul in addition to his canon issues with his mom and aunt, and that at this point in the story Hide is aware he’s a ghoul and accepts him.)

Lunch had just begun not long ago, and Kaneki and Hide sat in comfortable silence. Hide couldn’t stop thinking about his latest crush, as much as he tried.

And then he realized that it had been a long time since Kaneki last talked about his own crushes.

Oh. I bet it’s 'cuz of the whole ghoul thing…

Hide felt kind of bad for just now noticing. In the past, Kaneki loved to have the chance to talk about his love life judgement-free.

“Hey, do you like anyone?” Hide asked, opening up the topic.

Kaneki looked at him, and then quickly glanced away. “I don’t wanna talk about it.”

“Hey, it’s okay.” Hide whispered. “You being a ghoul didn’t change this, just like how it didn’t change anything else. It’s not weird or gross, regardless whether you like a human or a ghoul. It’s okay to talk about.”

Kaneki shook his head. “No, it’s not that. I… I don’t have a crush.”

Kaneki glanced down, preparing himself. Over the past several years, whenever he told people that, they would always insist that was not possible, and then accuse him of lying and pressure him to tell them the truth.

“Oh.” Hide blinked, pulling back. “Okay. Sorry for pushing.”

Hide stabbed his food with his fork, the gears in his mind turning.

He doesn’t have a crush? And hasn’t for a while, it seems like. Could he be aromantic…?

“Hold on.” Kaneki said. “...You believe me?”

“Why wouldn’t I?” Hide asked.

Kaneki shrugged awkwardly. “Well, other people usually don’t. And I know you’re different from them, and a lot nicer, but… isn’t it weird?”

“Not really. There’s actually quite a few other people out there who don’t get crushes.”

Kaneki froze, taking a moment to make sure he heard Hide right. And then his eyes lit up and he cried, “There are???”

“Yeah!” Hide smiled, happy that he managed to help Kaneki that much with just that one phrase.

Then Kaneki realized something, and it all crashed. “Oh. Is it, like, a queer identity?”

“Yup! Aromantic!” Hide said, and went on a short spiel of what it entailed.

But Kaneki’s hopes kept dropping. Aromantic was an identity. An orientation. Like how people were gay or how he was bi. Being aromantic wasn't like what happened to him.

“Do you think you could be aromantic?” Hide asked once his little spiel on aromanticism was done.

“No.” Kaneki shook his head. “No, I don’t think so. I’ve gotten crushes before.”

“Well, some aromantics do get crushes. It’s a spectrum, with a lot of grey areas. Actually! I’m an arospec who gets crushes!”

“Wow, really?”

Hide nodded. “I never brought it up before, but yeah. I’m lithromantic, which means I get crushes but they fade at reciprocation.”

“Huh.” Kaneki whispered. And thinking about Hide’s past relationships, it made a lot of sense.

“So, you could still be aromantic. If you think it fits.”

Kaneki shook his head. “It’s not like that. I’ve gotten crushes. Crushes that were undeniably crushes, and there was never anything off about them. Until…”

“Until?” Hide asked.

Kaneki sighed. “I haven’t had a crush since I was about 14. Since… Since all the bad stuff with my aunt started.”

“Oh.”

“I didn’t even notice at first. I had way too much going on — between that and trying to survive and keep my grades up. But then a year had passed and… nothing. I’ve tried everything trying to feel something again, but…” He shook his head hopelessly.

“I’m so sorry.” Hide whispered. “I had no idea.”

“Anyway, I don’t think I could call myself aromantic. I’m not a real aromantic, y’know? I’m just a broken bisexual.”

“Well.” Hide began. “The aromantic community? It’s really diverse and inclusive. Like, we’ve been thrown under the bus so many times, most of us are willing to include anyone who relates and wants to be included. And… some aromantics are trauma survivors, or have their aromanticism affected by their neurodivergency.”

Kaneki wasn’t quite following. “What are you saying?”

“I’m not trying to force any labels on you.” Hide said. “But you seem troubled by this. And the aromantic spectrum is huge. If you want to, you should take a look at it. You’re allowed to research. You’re allowed to question.”

Kaneki looked down and played with his hands, thinking it over.

“And even if you don’t want to claim any arospec labels, I’m sure you could still use our resources if any apply to you. What you're going through sounds pretty similar, at the very least.”

“Okay.” Kaneki whispered, nodding slowly. “Thanks.”

Hide reached out to hold Kaneki’s hand. “And even if you do turn out to be just a… troubled bisexual, just know that it’ll be okay. Even in different ways and for different reasons, there’s other people out there who don't date. You’re not alone.”

Kaneki nodded as his eyes started to water, grateful to have someone like Hide in his life.

Kaneki stared at the pin on Hide’s backpack. Kaneki had never known what it was, until now. He recognized it from when he was doing research on aspec identities.

“Ah, that’s my lithromantic pin!” Hide said, noticing Kaneki’s staring.

“I know.” Kaneki said. “And you have Aromantic and AlloAro ones too.”

“Wow. I’m impressed. You learned those fast.”

Kaneki shrugged, getting a little embarrassed by his praise. “I wanted to learn more about the aromantic spectrum, and your identities.”

“Aww. That’s sweet.” Hide said. “I’m okay with you asking stuff too, by the way. It’s not that I’m hiding it, I just… It’s a lot to explain from scratch and a lot of people insist it's not real.”

Kaneki nodded slowly. “I sort of know what that’s like. And okay, I’ll ask if I have any questions.”

“So, uh… Did you happen to find any arospec identities you relate to?”

“I actually did.” Kaneki said.

“Really? Which ones?”

“Well, I guess it's not an arospec identity, but… I realized that I’m asexual.”

Hide blinked. “Whoa, really?”

Kaneki nodded. “I didn’t believe it at first. I just wrote it off as 'normal' stuff, but then I remembered that I thought the same thing when I discovered I was bi, so I dived deeper and… Well. Apparently sexual attraction is a thing.”

Hide laughed. “Yes, it is.”

“And I never knew!” Kaneki continued. “I was always confused about people’s actions and desires but I never really thought too hard about it. But it all makes sense now.”

“So only acespec identities or did you find some arospec ones too?”

“I looked into the aro terms for trauma survivors.” Kaneki began. “And I think I may have found one.”

“What is it? I’m admittedly not too familiar with that many arospec terms.”

“It’s called Requisromantic.” Kaneki said. “And it's for people who used to experience romantic attraction, but then due to emotional exhaustion they lose that attraction.”

“Emotional exhaustion?” Hide asked.

“For me, it's not the trauma necessarily that caused my attraction to go away.” Kaneki said. “It’s all the aftermath. The stress. Plus my general anxiety and depression.”

“That makes sense.” Hide said. “So, you found some other people with experiences like yours?”

“Yeah.” Kaneki said, unable to hide a smile.

“I’m glad.”

One Punch Man ship reviews bc I’m bored

WARNING: BIG ONE PUNCH MAN WEBCOMIC AND MANGA SPOILERS

GenoSai: do I even have to say it?? They compliment each other so well and are already besties. They make me so happy and I love their love. Genos literally came into Saitama’s life and brought so much new life and excitement when Saitama thought he’d never get any. Genos gives him love and appreciation all the time and never abandons him. Saitama isn’t connected to his feelings, but he cares about Genos and would do just about anything for him, to keep him safe. Genos constantly teases Saitama and Saitama grumbles and takes it with some banter, Genos is super emotional and Saitama does his best to comfort him, they fucking love shopping together and just hanging out period, they talk about the dumbest shit and somehow they still understand each other with the one brain cell they both share. It takes Genos forever to realize his feelings are deeper and Saitama has to be TOLD by their friends that he should fucking realize his feelings already. Just...I could keep going but I’ll stop! 2718873737839439/10 (let’s not talk about the age gap btw, 6 years isn’t bad and Genos is a legal adult.)

FubuSai: the stereotypical straight ship ppl gravitate to. Eh. I can see it, but at the same time I feel like they don’t completely compliment each other. Are they a hot couple? Duh. But I feel like their pride and communication issues would get in the way. 4/10

TatsuSai: hnghhhh. Someone mentioned this before, can’t remember who, but Saitama literally thinks she’s a child in canon. So that just....makes it gross. Same problems as FubuSai but worse. I’d rather see them as hesitant friends w a weird bond. 0/10

SonSai/SonicSai/idk the ship name: eh, toxic. Cant see them getting past communication issues and pride, again. Plus Sonic wants to kill his ass. Also, I just feel no romantic tension?? Even in fanfic it just falls flat for me. 3/10

MumenSai: a favorite!! Wish I saw it more, it’s very cute. Mumen is so kind and would absolutely be there to help him w self esteem and just help him be a better person period. And Saitama would have a cute little kind guy to tease and open up to. I could maybe see Mumen’s kindness getting on Saitama’s nerves when he’s in a bad mood bc Mumen almost never snaps and Saitama feels shittier, or maybe Mumen being mad at Saitama for being kinda lazy at home while Mumen is working his ass off and he’s like babe I just got home, please stop playing the fucking game and pay attention to me I have a concussion again. Prob too nitpicky on this one, heh, but 8.4/10

Genos x Sonic: wtf? As a crack ship, sure. That’s hilarious. But as a serious ship, 1.3/10 bc I could MAYBE see them bond over their love of my chemical romance or sum.

Anyone x Puri: -128382839287473828739219833468282/10. Fuck Puri.

TatsuKing: eh. Indifferent on this one too. I can see them getting along and Tatsu being the mean but supportive gf in public, but a sweet gf in private. King could be like her calm oasis of video games and sweet blonde shy bf. I sway more towards ace/aro King and queer non binary Tatsu, but this is still good. 6/10

FubuPsy/Fubuki x Psykos/idk: hell yeah!! This series NEEDS more wlw ships, both for me to project onto and to cry over. Prob my fav Fubuki ship, cuz they’ve known each other since they were young and had a tenuous friendship. I didn’t use to ship it until I saw that scene in the wc after the MA arc (u know the one) but here we are. They’re big personalities so any interaction is bound to be chaotic at first, but I really think they’d work. Pride put to the side, Psykos could be someone for Fubuki to finally rely on other than the Blizzard Bunch, someone to confide in, a badass partner to fight monsters with, talk about nothing for hours with, be a super fashionable #girlboss couple with, and someone who would really see her for who she is-especially w Psykos knowledge of her from the past. Hell, Psykos might even know her better than Tatsumaki. Fubuki could be an anchor to her like she currently is in the wc, providing a quiet comfort and making her open up little by little. Would prob be toxic at first bc of the MA arc and their desire for power, but is a very good ship I think. 9/10

Speedal/Sonic x Mumen: an old fav! Sonic would have a hard time not hating Mumen at first bc he’s the picture definition of a hero, sum he hates. But hanging out with him would show him Mumen is a GOOD guy genuinely and he’d be like ohhhh shit I’m in love w this man. Mumen would thoroughly appreciate someone to make him live a little, break some rules and stand up to ppl when they talk over him. He’d DEFINITELY be upset when finding out Sonic is an assassin, but would prob be conflicted bc he knows Sonic is a good person despite that. Would prob make Sonic give up on killing for them to be together. Sucks bc of the assassin thing and bc they haven’t met in canon! So we’re not sure how they’d interact with each other, sigh. 7.4/10

Okamaitachi x Bushidrill: a very underrated ship! To be clear, I headcanon Kama as a trans woman and so does most of the fandom. Anyway, very sweet and already built as a friendship bc of their partnership under Atomic Samurai. I can’t remember who writes fic and makes art of them on tumblr but AAAAA it’s so good! Very sweet. Basically depicted Bushi as a nervous himbo who’s honest about his feelings but scared to say them and Kama as a sweet lady who’s crazy about Bushi. Very sweet. Want more of them!! 6.1/10

OneZon/Zombieman x One Shotter: never even thought of the ship till I saw @megidolan art work! Very wholesome, and from what little we know of Shotter we know he’s a sort of nervous yet strong willed guy, and Zombieman would totally help him calm down bc he’s so chill. I could see them sharing cigarettes and talking shit on heroes while cuddling u know? 7/10 only because I don’t see enough of it but very good concept.

Mumarou/Mumen x Garou: a lot of ppl are gonna hate me for this but....I don’t like it. I’ve tried! I just—idk. I’ve read so many good fics about them that make me like it a bit, but the concept is just eh. I think their relationship is, in most reps, really cliche angsty stuff. I wish I could elaborate I just...gah! Basically, there’s better ships for the both of them imo. Sorry!! 4.3/10

Sonic x Flashy/SonFlash: yes!! Prob my fav Sonic ship. They have soooo much tension, it’s almost worse than Genos’ tension w Saitama. Flashy LITERALLY poisoned Sonic so that he wouldn’t be forced to kill him at the ninja graduation. He cares. They’ll never say it out loud, but they care. They have someone who understands what they went through in each other and someone they’re both so similar to, yet so different from. Sonic is more vocal about his expressions and let’s people know it while Flashy often keeps things to himself, they could really influence the other to be more this or that. I could see a lot of comfort with these two, and not much is needed for relationship development; they already have so much unspoken between them after meeting for the first time in years. Love it. Wish I saw it more! 10/11

KingSai: wonderful! Out of the few ppl Saitama is close to, def my second fav pick for a ship for him. There’s a post saying how Saitama doesn’t cut King off when he’s going on rants about games and stuff bc he’s talking TO Saitama, not at him like Genos tends to do on accident. They’re already great buddies! Saitama could find a shy gamer man who he can talk to about manga and stuff and also a passionate bf who could break out of his shell w Saitama and be himself with no lies. King can have someone to protect him, duh, someone who finally understands his weird sense of humor, and someone to shower him in the love and kindness he deserves when Saitama is in the mood to be all out like that w his affections. Plus he’s Saitama’s anchor and brings him back down when he’s super anxious and depressed and tells him what’s up that he needs to fix without sugarcoating it. Would def have a bunch of inside jokes and go on dates that are just staying inside playing video games all night. Domestic af. 10/10

Fubuki x Mizuki: my first wlw Fubuki ship! Hard to find but very good. Mizuki is this big ball of kindness, energy, and raw power that would make Fubuki go ‘Ohhhhhhh, big pretty lady make brain go brrr.’ I could see Mizuki grounding Fubuki when she’s in over her head, giving her random gifts bc she saw sum and thought of her, doing a marathon run and wildly waving at Fubuki in the crowd, and all around being a dependable woman confident in herself and in love with a mysterious esper. Prob a little shy when it comes to anything physical bc she loves Fubuki so much and is overwhelmed by the realness of being w her. Fubuki gives Mizuki advice on ‘acting like a proper hero’ or whatever and though Mizuki thinks she doesn’t need it, Fubuki still helps her a lot w her career and being taken more seriously by others. Would give Mizuki someone who loves her for who she is and would go wild on her in private when she can be open about her affection, would be someone Mizuki could exercise with and listen intently to Mizuki’s physical knowledge, and would absolutely bandage her when she’s all banged up. Hnghh love this ship. It’s only behind the FubuPsy ship juuuuust a little bc they haven’t met in canon so we can’t be sure about their interactions and stuff. 8.8/10, I love WOMEN

Batarou: how could I go this far without mentioning them?! They have SOOOO much tension in the centichoro fight, like come on. Both snarky assholes who are huge softies one the inside, Badd being the more logical one (still a himbo, tho) and Garou being the more chaotic one. Probably take forever to admit their feelings bc they’re so prideful and stupid <3 flirt through constant wrestling matches and it takes Genos saying ‘they should kiss already, they’re getting on his nerves’ for them to finally realize what’s up. (@rayadraws has a great au where Garou Genos and Badd are a chaotic friend squad and Genos is the only brain of the group, haha. Very good au y’all check it out!) Would constantly pick on each other affectionately and switch into concerned SO when the other is hurt like the big teddy bears they are. Raise Zenko together for sure. Garou would fumble being romantic and Badd would find it both hilarious and cute. 11/12

Zombie mask/Amai x Zombieman:

So. I don’t like Amai Mask and I used to hate him, BUT the webcomic and fic have really helped me calm down on him (he’s still a dick tho), so it’s easier to want to ship him and stuff. Bc of Amai’s anger issues and controlling behavior, I could see this relationship being super toxic and icky—but I think they have some form of understanding that pulls Amai back from being a complete dick, you know? Start off as fuck buddies and slowly form something else from spending companionable time together other than screwing. Zombieman pulls Amai back from his angry fits and soothes him over with his logic. Talk maaaaaad shit about heroes, but only when they’re alone because Zombieman knows Amai will talk loud af about the heroes they’re roasting and Zombie doesn’t wanna stop a fight from happening. Zombieman loves making Amai flustered and has a secret check list in his head of all the things that get Amai red faced. Loves to listen to Amai rant about things for hours and loves to watch his face go through almost cartoon like expressions as he talks. He won’t admit it, but Zombie loves to be spoiled by Amai’s shit tons of cash and often takes rides in Amai’s limos when he wants to smoke and think to himself. Amai has a hard time realizing how his feelings have changed, but gets hit hard with it when he wakes up to Zombie making them breakfast one morning while wearing Amai’s underwear. DemonKnight/Genos x Zero/Drive Knight: I’m pretty sure this used to be a crack ship before the past like 10 manga chapters—and now here we are! Not a fav bc 1. ZERO LEFT GENOS TO SELF DESTRUCT AFTER THEY COMBINED TO FORM THE FUCKING JET HE WAS JUST LIKE lol bye SO LIKE if he left him to die that’s super hard for me to forgive and ship grrr 2. Disregarding the manga’s canon and looking at the wc, while I love the little trip they went on where Zero demonstrated his abilities and helped Genos kill monsters, it’s super sus. He knew alllll of this info on Metal Knight and was super supportive and understanding when Genos said he needed time to think. Like,,,what are his intentions? We know so little about him—is he trying to trick Genos or was he being sincere? THAT STUFF ASIDE, they’re a really fun ship. They’re both huge fucking nerds and can keep up with their talk on robotics for hours, they’re both cyborgs so they understand each other’s pain, and they’re both super cool and angsty. I think they could really settle into a deep bond that can go platonic or romantic, just depends. Genos needs more ppl in his life so hell yeah! Plus, he can really let go with Zero bc they don’t have that teacher/student relationship and Zero, if he’s really a sincere and kind guy like in the wc, can be there for Genos and listen to him. Don’t have much to say on this ship other than @wellthisisembarrassing makes GORGEOUS art of them! 6.3/10

Webuiko/Suiko x Webigaza: YEAH I KNOW THEY HAVENT INTERACTED IN CANON AND WE DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT THEM BUT HEAR ME OUT. Webigaza—cool af determined cyborg idol who’s surprisingly down to earth when talking with Child Emperor. Suiko—sassy and honest fighter who doesn’t take shit and is very passionate. Suiko would go to talk to Web then immediately freak out bc aaaa she’s way prettier than she thought, she can’t do this! Web would have to gently encourage Suiko to talk and at first is like ‘ah man, must be an adoring fan, ugh I’m so tired. At least she’s hot’ but when Suiko snaps out of her shyness Web is like oh! She’s super cool wtf. Always bump into each other during fights and help each other get fixed up, Suiko using her muscle power to lift Web’s pieces (and give Web a great view of Suiko’s muscles holy SHIT) and Web would patch Suiko up. Not to be stereotypical, but they’re def a masc/femme couple. I love the idea of this ship soooo much and I really hope they interact! 6.6/10 only bc they haven’t met 😭😭😭 look them up on here! There’s some great art of them by a few blogs

Dr. Kuseno x Bang: pretty sure @baldyborg came up with this one! Super cute. Just two old dudes finding a nice friendship in each other, maybe after Bang helps carry Genos to Kuseno’s after a day of fighting. Bang would find Kuseno to be a very cute little nerd man and would be sooo impressed by Kuseno’s mad scientist skills. Kuseno would be super impressed when seeing Bang in action too. They’d prob talk as soon as they meet each other and Genos would be in the background like you guys it’s been an hour, please fix me I’m on the verge of death 🧍🏻Bang would give Kuseno advice on training techniques to teach Genos and advice on making his bodies more martial arts ready or sum, meanwhile Kuseno would give his take on how to be kinder to Garou so that Bang would learn to repair the relationship with a gentleness he’s seemingly lacking (yes I’m talking about the chapter where he and Garou start fighting and Bang is just not doing enough to reach out to Garou, he’s being a callous old man! So yeah I’m still mad about that). Genos and Saitama would prob be out on a date and Saitama would be like oh theres Bang, wonder what he’s doing? Then Kuseno would walk up and kiss Bang and Genos and Sai would be shocked like SIRS 👬 Genos would tell Bang he doesn’t need another adoptive dad and Bang would be like....ok.... I see them retiring in a cottage together and Bang would become a huge softie. Yes I’m actively ignoring chapter 141 of the wc, shut up. 7.6/10

TankTop master x Mumen: they have a nice friendship going on in the manga right now! Just bros supporting bros. Tank is the picture definition of a muscly himbo and Mumen is his cute passionate bf. Also workout buddies af!! Don’t have much to say other than pretty good ship, just not a fav. 5.2/10

Is lizzie/the main character tripping over a rock a random event in barbecue? or does it require certain choices? i picked the same choices in multiple different playthroughs but ended up with three different outcomes (1. nothing happens 2. liz trips 3. i trip)

Yep! It’s completely random. Just a little moment of life you don’t have control over, haha.

Yeah, you will eventually be able to romance him, but unfortunately it is a paid DLC. Cove is the only love interest who’s entirely free-to-play. You can follow our social media for when we giveaways for a chance to win a key for it, though.

i know that y’all said the step 3 dlc and step 4 will be released early 2021, is there any update to that? for example, a rough amount of days/weeks until release? no pressure at all, i’m super excited!! <3

The Step 3 DLC will be about in maybe two-two and half months or so. Step 4, we’re not entirely sure. Maybe a few months after the Step 3. We don’t want to give set dates until we’re really close to the release since otherwise we wouldn’t be able to 100% guarantee them.

First off love the game. Second I'm a little confused on how the nsfw dlc is gonna work. Because based on some stuff you've said it sounds like a patreon only thing and others make me think it could be an itch/steam thing after the fact? Would you mind clarifying for me 😅. Also if it's a patreon only thing do you need to become one before it's released?

It’s not going to be on Steam/Itch. The actual game of Our Life is safe for teens with no adult content. Any 18+ stuff we’re releasing is separate bonus content. Right now the only for sure plan is having it available through Patreon. If there’s another hosting site that’s not Steam or Itch that’d be easier for people than Patreon we might consider uploading it there too, but nothing else is set.

If you want the bonus Moment you’d have to join once it’s already out or sometime after the release. Joining now would get you our current rewards, but wouldn’t get you future content that’s coming later.

this is probably an awkward question and i apologize, feel free not to answer, but i just wanted to address the elephant in the room....will step 4 acknowledge covid/2020 world events?? i kind of hope not bc i'd like to just exist in a fictional version of the world where things are happy in this quaint seaside town and the world isn't falling apart, but i'd understand if there are some references to it. just thought i'd ask so i can Prepare if that makes sense

Step 4 isn’t going to include Covid or even reference it. When we set Step 4 in that year we definitely didn’t know there’d be a global pandemic during it. It’s too late to move the timeframe earlier or later, but we’re not going to make Step 4 stressful for anyone because the real world became so much more stressful. The universe of Our Life will just be an even more idealized place than it was before.

None of those settings are canon. They’re all equally valid.

I love the game and Cove so much that I ended up spending most of the holidays playing it. Definitely worth it! Idk if you're taking suggestions/criticisms, but I chose the peach skin tone and seeing it written as "my peach skin" in the game broke immersion for me because I kept thinking it was referring to the fruit instead of my skin color. I think that skin color is most commonly referred to as "fair" but "peachy" or "rosy" would work too if you're looking for a different word

So I accidentally overwrote a save file with a different one, is there any way I can recover that save?

Sadly, there isn’t. Not unless you had a backup of the actual save file files in a separate location you can get. I’m really sorry. You can try using the skip feature to quickly speed through the game and get back to where you were though.

Do you try to maintain the color scheme for the clothing throughout the years in Our Life?

Yes, though in hindsight not as much as I wished I did, haha. It could’ve been a little more cohesive. It was a bit too broad in my opinion.

I noticed that Cliff mentions he wasn’t much older than Cove before finding out he was going to be a father when he finds MC in bed with Cove during Part 3 so doesn’t that Cliff and Kyra were teenage/young parents?

Yeah, Cliff was nineteen and Kyra was eighteen when Cove was born. They were just a couple of kids.

Does Cove have a favourite holiday?

It changes depending on the year. Around Step 1 he’s not a huge fan of a lot of holidays because he’s not together with his whole family for them. But once he’s older and Kyra comes around more, he starts appreciating major family holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas more than other holidays because he knows how it feels not to have that. Though summer vacation is of course his most favorite all the time, if that counts as a “holiday”.

I’m afraid that’d be too big of a spoiler to give away before the epilogue’s release, at least in terms of specifics. Generally you’ll just have to be patient and try not to propose first, haha.

That’ll cost one million 20 twenty dollar bills, haha. I’m really glad you like him, though sadly we aren’t able to make a separate game where you can romance Cliff. I wish we had enough time to make tons of new scenes/extra stories in the Our Life world, but it just takes too long. Maybe people will make fanworks about it.

okay so I'm finally caught up with all the stream and the story and ofc I have Opinions

first I just wanted to say that I'm still not over Tubbo screaming "The discs don't matter" because that line matters so much, look guys, Tubbo has no emotional attachment to the disc, none at all, to him they are just disc that are ridiculously powerful, enough to dictate the future of an entire nation.

The only reason he ever tried to get the discs was because his best friend care about them a Lot. Now that Tommy's goals were becoming dangerous to Tubbo's L'Manburg and they were kinda fighting (more like disagreeing in a lot of things) Tubbo doesn't care, and he's doing the right because he's doing what's best for L'Manburg and all the people who live there, he couldn't just put the fate of the entire country on a pair of discs and a promise that Techno surely would help them take down Dream.

On the other hand, Tommy. I think I wasn't too far off when I said the thing about an Insaneinnit, but I don't think is the same insane as Wilbur, he's not going to be paranoid and mad and bitter at everyone and trying to destroy everything. He's doing the same he's done everytime people have exile him or trapped him, he's shouting and laughing and starting again and moving on. The difference this time is that, he is really all alone this time. So if he keeps going like this, he probably will realize that he doesn't have anything else worth fighting for and no one is on his side until he just... stops. If this is how he keeps going, his last canonical death is going to be a suicide and I'm not gonna be surprised. Not with all the manipulation and abuse Dream is doing.

beCAUSE THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT HE'S DOING. He's luring Tommy into this fake sense of security, he's emotionally draining him, he's letting him move on, he's letting him progress only to destroy that progress with a single use of a flint and steel. He's getting his hopes high, with the whole 'I'll let you keep your enderchest' and 'maybe you can visit L'Manburg in the future' and 'you're friends CAN visit you' only to immediately after bury them six feet under. The worst thing is, he's not letting Tommy stop either, yes it's so fun bullying Tommy and making fun of him every time he loses his stuff, but the moment Tommy looks like he's about to end it all (THAT HAS HAPPEN AND I'M GONNA MAKE A WHOLE DIFFERENT POST ABOUT TOMMY'S SUICIDAL THOUGHTS) Dream panics instantly, because he can't let him die, he needs him for something, I don't even know what, it could be Using Tommy as a hostage over Tubbo (cuz whether tubbo likes it or not he still cares about Tommy a lot), because he needs Tommy's voluntary(??? help with something (that's with the whole 'I am your friend Tommy' he keeps saying EVEN after everything he's done) or maybe

maybe he just likes to torture him, I mean, with the way Dream's character is developing I wouldn't be surprised.

and finally Quackity and HOLY SHIT QUACKITY

listen to me Big Q is the fucking backbone of this entire fucking server and I will fight to death to whoever tries to change my mind. Technoblade once said he was the most consistent character and like it's pretty close but not quite. Quackity character is, to me at least, the most consistent one in the whole story, he's had on goal and one goal only the entire time, since he's been running for president until now, and that is Doing the best for his countries. This whole time, he's been thinking what's best for EVERYONE, he's genuinely sorry for Tubbo exiling Tommy (he's the only one who actually said sorry to him) and he doesn't like it, but he's doing everything he can to make sure L'Manburg and Mexican L'Manburg (L'Mexburg??) don't fall apart with whatever he can. He's making sure EVERYONE knows they can't stay on their knees in front of Dream, because L'Manburg is strong and L'Manburg is a place where everyone is supposed to be equals. Without him I'm sure Fundy and Tubbo would still be fighting and they would have a whole new set of trust issues problem, the L'Manburg cabinet wouldn't have a plan right now and Mexican L'Manburg would be in fucking shambles BECAUSE I'M SORRY TO WHOEVER WATCHED THE OTHER SIDE BUT LAWYER QUACKITY WAS RIGHT, Karl, Big Q, George and Sapnap were doing a peaceful protest over the new kingship and then Eret attacked them and then they stole the throne.

And the best thing is that he knows he only has one life left (I thought he had two but I think I was wrong, if I wasn't Big Q is just pretending is one to have another card up his sleeve) so he's trying to get as many important things and people as possible, so they can't kill him. it's exactly as he said, if Dream had killed him on his last stream, the throne would have stayed in his enderchest, forever.

Tubbo is doing a great job taking care of L'Manburg, but he's forgetting he's not the only one who cares, he's not realizing that there are other people out there who had, and have, and will risk everything to make sure L'Manburg is safe (he said himself, he hadn't realized how much Big Q cared until he showed him his secret room), he's trying to do everything alone, and that is gonna be his demise. So I really hope he starts realizing and THEY can work to make L'Manburg a safer place for everyone.

((Also I'm not taking about Ghostbur giving the clingyduo compasses that point to each other because I don't want to be fucking weeping on the floor))

Like not EVERYONE has to be friends with Matthew. Ari could talk to other people *cough* like Alastair *cough* and would be much better off.

One of the replies I got was about Ari being into fashion thus she and Matthew make good friends. Her wanting to fit into society is different from having a taste for fashion per say. And Matthew already has Anna for fashion really. And she supposedly hates political talk; that's canon where?

They also said Matthew's helping her with getting Anna back. First off, Matthew has too many of his own problems to deal with, I don't see why he should be able to help Ari properly. And no offense, Matthew's not the biggest expert of love and he does not understand Ari's situation AT ALL (Anna doesn't either but that's a different discussion). Forgive me if I'm very wary of the advice he'd give her.

I also see points of "Ari and Matthew must have interacted to as both their parents are very influential, she was engaged to Charles, Ari would use the fact that Matthew's Anna's friend to her advantage" etc. So, if Matthew and Ari interacted and were minutely close, there would've been some mention or show of it. Like Matthew would probably have had some worry of Ari when she was poisoned. He doesn't, and frankly in Chain of Gold it doesn't seem like he and Ari even know each other at all well. And Matthew really doesn't bother interacting with people other than the Merry Thieves and like Anna etc. If their parents worked together, it doesn't mean Ari and Matthew spent time together too.

(Oh and if your main argument is that Ari needs Matthew to get back Anna, you are diminishing her character to her love interest ARIADNE BRIDGESTOCK IS AN AMAZING PERSON OUTSIDE OF HER MISGUIDED LOVE OF ANNA LIGHTWOOD)

Ari being engaged to Charles also has no real effect, Matthew would just think, "oh this is the poor girl who's marrying my ass of a brother" and just, not think about her much again. I doubt he'd even really care. And Matthew would frankly just side with Anna instead of trying to help Ari win her back (another issue for another time). I don't see how Ari could "use" Matthew to get into Anna's good graces.

Now to Alastair and Ari having "no reason to talk" "a friendship would not get them anywhere" etc. A friendship is not about gaining something from someone you're friends with. It's about having fun, and helping each other yes, but not in a give-gain perspective, you help the person because you care for them. You don't need to have EVERYTHING in common to make conversation, you have random conversations about your interests and views and other rabdom stuff.

Maybe Alastair looked miserable or bored at a party and Ari went up to him and said "you look bored as hell" "Yes but I've found mentally planning the detailed murders of people to be quite entertaining" or some other ridiculous response and BOOM: a friendship begins.

Alastair is isolating himself, and Ari is stubborn, she could help Alastair come out of the shell he's decided to stay in, AND give him the comfort of having a friend that he hasn't had a lot of baggage to unload with. With the other Merry Thieves, you have their academy days that has caused a rift, and even when/if they move past that, it's still been there and happened (and Alastair being Alastair will carry it over his own head for a very long time). With Ari there's nothing, they've never interacted before, here's someone who will see him for who he is NOW, (while everyone, part of the fandom included, looks at him as the fifteen year old bully he WAS).

(To people who l say, "they'd only be friends cuz their both queer POC, otherwise they wouldn't", this entire argument is without mention of them being LGBTQ+ or POC now what do you have to say hA)

tl;dr: Not everyone needs to be friends with Matthew, he and Ari do not need to interact or be friends it's ridiculous and uneeded; a friendship between Alastair and Ariadne makes so much more sense IT MAKES ABSOLUTE SENSE I will die on this hill.

Hi! Thanks for the ask.

I don’t like Draco. Reading what he did to the Trio triggered me one day (I was bullied for years and he did something to the Trio that my bullies used to do), which had me try to sleep off an afternoon suddenly. There’s no sense in claiming he deserved a redemption arc. If you need a redemption arc, you’ve done horrible things, you are a horrible person, which is why you need something to repent from. But his fans say he deserves a redemption arc because they don’t acknowledge Draco did horrible things, or at least don’t care about the impact. They don’t see him at fault. Which should normally mean that he doesn’t need a redemption arc. But Draco has canonically been a horrible character in canon, one that did not repent in a thorough form. Draco fans (at least part of them) don’t understand the logic of a redemption arc. I’m pretty set on it: Draco didn’t have a redemption arc, and that’s what matters in the end. If his fans are so ashamed to have him as a fav character, knowing he’s so shitty they whine he lacks a redemption arc, it’s pretty sad. It’s almost as if they don’t love Draco, uh. They want a Snape, they just don’t want the mainstream unpopularity that comes with it, and they want to have Drarry etc. They crave the brilliance of Snape’s character. Why do you think they’re so jealous Snape got a redemption arc and Draco didn’t? So I find this pathetic as a whole on their part. Draco is at best a character I don’t care for, at worst one that I do come to hate, like this time he triggered trauma-related reminiscence in me (while Snape never did). Whether they give Draco a redemption arc in their fics or not is not really my problem. What matters to me is canon and their behavior to Snape fans.

Other than Severus, I like Luna and Percy.

Of course being a marauder + Snape stan isn’t a bad thing. The issue never was being a fan of the marauders or Snape in the first place. It’s the harassement and idiocy that comes with snaters, who often are marauderfen. Idiocy, because they completely lack reading comprehension (often times literally as they haven’t read the canon books), and twist canon into something unrecognizable (one of the main marauderfen even did a slip/lapsus and admitted that if Rowling participated into a marauder era film, they wouldn’t follow the fans’ headcanons and would make the marauders recognizable as full-blown, inexcusable bullies). The other problem is the constant Snape hate amongst marauderfen, while amongst Snape fans, you don’t get constant marauder hate. You criticize the marauders and explore their darkness, instead of turning them into shiny rainbows to feel better about loving a gang of bullies with privileges (I mean, Snape is a bully, one hell of a bastard, but I don’t need to turn him into an angel to love him and excuse everything he did, on the contrary I like to explore his brokeness on normal circumstances). You counter marauderfen because they’ve kept harassing Snape fans for nothing. The fact the Snapedom is more honest, closer to canon, but also less hateful, is the reason (I think) that explains why there are quite a bunch of marauder fans who joined the Snapedom instead of the marauder fandom (so you’re definitely not alone here). If you look for recent posts in marauder tags, often it will be flooded with Snape and Snape fan hate. Simply put, the Snape fandom is less toxic by itself, and you won’t get shit on for seeming to pull a legitimate defense for a character (whether a marauder or Snape), while you will get bullied by your own if you dare do so for Snape in the current marauder fandom. Remember. Loving a character never was the problem; the fans’ reactions are. And I know I seem pretty anti marauder (it’s true I can’t stand James Potter or the sirius-lupin ship), but it’s a matter of 1) personal opinions, 2) Snape defense that often requires pointing out the marauders’ flaws. Neither of them should dictate whom to love or not. I have no right to tell you you’re wrong for loving a character. And you know what? If you start to make marauder content that is Snape neutral or pro Snape, I’d be supportive. I recently said in a post that I found it so sad, the way the marauders lost their potential amongst the marauder fandom, especially when it’s getting lost to hysterical, nonsensical Snape hate... to snaters. That it would be so good if everything could be reconciled; if there was a sort of... new marauder fandom that was born from the Snapedom (= more canonically accurate). So no, I’m not gonna throw a fit just because you happen to love characters from two fandoms in "war". I don’t see the point. Never think you’re bad for doing so. I find it even cool, brave and healthy, because you go exactly against a war that shouldn’t have been born in the first place. You’ll definitely find people who agree with you in the Snapedom (and way more peaceful/polite than me)!

idk if you are on twitter, but there's a journalist named Natalie fisher that basically just said we should believe that episode 18 was mishas last? on one hand a lot of the analysis you provide makes sense, but also like,, she is a journalist so idk what to do with this information

...Listen, I’m going to tell you something.

Someone literally told that same journalist exactly what was going to happen in the 15.18 confession scene before it happened and she argued with them that it wasn’t going to happen.

I only know this because a friend explicitly asked me if they were allowed to tell her our exclusive leak which was different from the original script leak but had to do with a fluke interception of the episode in transit. Because other countries exist that dub the show. But of course you can't just swing that around, so it was proposed, and apparently, she sat there refusing it. Well, we tried.

Our own server was so damn well prepared the bot was coded to link a Whitney Houston song any time someone yelled WHITNEY, as was expected inevitable, because the general vibe was

An entire server of clowns had like 60 memes ready. But here she is, arguing. With someone who knew better. For 2 months. Condescendingly even. Like wow that's stupid it would never be that loud ignore it lolol.

In fact in her misguided confidence she basically gaslit both herself and the friend to the point the friend rolled back what they believed and started questioning if it was a translation issue since it didn't arrive in english and maybe cas reall WASN'T going to tell dean he had always loved him and tell him why he deserves it before the empty takes him.

Natalie is usually good, for the record. Among journalists, she’s okay. She’s even friends with Meredith. But that said Meredith clearly didn’t tell her that, and that had been planned from go. She’s been stonewalled, she’s not getting screeners, she’s not getting intel, she’s /just as blind as you are right now./

Also her own logic is self-contradicting. What she is functioning on is anxiety.

Just like everybody else. She’s not used to flying blind. She’s used to knowing exactly what’s going on. She’s not used to doing fandom CSI and frankly, she even has been known to uh, borrow meta, but most meta right now is “DeanCas?” and she doesn’t want to do that because “getting up people’s hopes” or whatever. So she doesn’t have her direct feed line, she doesn’t have her screeners, she doesn’t have her normal press access and she doesn’t even have content to lift.

Summarily: she has no idea how to function right now, and I actually mean that in the kindest way.

As for that conflicting logic? Read her thread and apply your brain.

She acknowledges that Misha said he was going to be filming 5 more days after episode 18.

She then says that covid might have changed it.

She then also says that the reason he can’t come back is actually because that would just about demand reciprocation from Dean which, she personally believes they can’t do (just like she didn’t believe a week and a half ago that they were going to do ... uh, 15.18.)

Okay, so riddle me this: if the logic is that Misha can’t come back cuz it’s too gay, what does covid have to do with that change, and why would that change from literally the day after they filmed 15.18?

Logic people. Use it. Stop letting anxiety drive your CPU.

Like either they had a way to handle it or they didn't. You don't cut one of your leads for extras after a major plot decision. And she even breaks out the stupid HE WAS FILMING A DIFFERENT MOVIE THATS WHY HE WAS IN VAN line.

Protip: spn was the only thing back in production then. They were the first ones back and a testing ground for Vancouver protocol.

Protip: the Amazon movie he's filming is filmed in the US

Protip: he went through multiple beard and haircut waves between each of these events, changing for each role.

What this actually means is, in lieu of actual sources, she's lifting fandom created noises that simple checks shoot down (eg being in van before van filming opened to film a us movie that didn't start filming for weeks even after his covid quarantine period in the wrong goddamn fucking country). Fandom, so goddamn desperate to find some validation for noise, decides to ascribe extra meaning to words and ideas they themselves halfassedly created and got a confused fandom journo to repeat in lieu of other sources. This is like the Trump Fox loop.

Like us, sitting here staring into the abyss of a transcript of not just words but events, trying to shoot holes in the source for months, peering into the abyss of the chain link saying "Destiel is going canon" (though i disagree with the fandom use of the term still) and even we weren't ready for the merch line that Stands had planned for a year and a half and also not told anyone.

Is this a way to promise your specific destiel goalpost is hit, no. But it's a point that currently she knows no more than you do, she has been violently wrong on just this topic matter recently, and her points don't even MAKE SENSE.

As it is, even on set leakers have been wrong. The original march leak came attached to a statement of having read 19 and Cas not even being mentioned. How did that work out for you?

But sure. They decided a groundbreaking swing for Cas with marketing for Dare To Defy everyone called queerbait that he and Jensen were both put in and a full planned merch line but stopped their plans because of the gay covid.

Again, do i promise your personal destiel landmark, no. Am i confident that Misha will be in the finale? Absolutely. If you remember in regards to destiel, before the season started, I commented that with the change in WB leadership, having its first woman CEO, having more women, people of color, and lgbtq people in high-ranking positions that ever, they're repackaging plan to recover from the AT&T bounce, the complete crash out of CEOs in their child and sister companies, and more, Anything Could Happen. I believe I used the term, it is a roll of the dice. Somewhere in the depths of my blog from season 14 and 15 Hiatus is the phrase, with the right roll of the dice, we could do anything. That line, from the god corporate told them in s11 they couldn't kill so they would find another way, has still slapped the taste out of my mouth from the Trap.
