While people on twitter are debating "but what if I WANT to shave!!!", women, specially women of color, are MURDERED EVERY DAY for being women. We have a word for it: femicide.

The most dangerous place for a lot of women is their own home. And the most dangerous people are often the ones closest to them. A father, a husband, an ex-boyfriend. (Reminder that women can also perpetrate femicide.)

Tradwife-ism and "I'm just a girl" reinforce the very same ideology that leads to femicide. Controlling women inside the home. If they "step out of line"? At best, they're left without resources of their own. At worst? They're murdered. This is real life.

And if a woman can't provide for herself? She needs disabled rights. She (and everyone) needs universal basic income. She needs a support net. She DOES NOT NEED TO BE UNDER A MAN'S MERCY.

Never stop being a loud feminist. No peace until all women are treated as equals. No peace until every woman, SPECIALLY WOMEN OF COLOR, can feel truly safe and free. Trans women obviously included.

I speak from a brazilian perspective. Over 1.800 women in Brazil were victims of femicide in 2024. More than 2.000 women suffered attempts against their lives. It's very unfortunately possible that from those 2.000, some might have been killed this year, since the people who do those attempts often try again. And I completely believe that those numbers are under-reported, and more femicides are just labeled as homicides instead because of "lack of proof".

WOMEN ARE DYING. BE LOUD, "OBNOXIOUS" AND DEMANDING OF GENDER EQUALITY. CALL OUT BULLSHIT WHEN YOU SEE IT.

Don't fall for cultural setbacks. Don't let cute aesthetics and personal tastes wash away decades of progress.

So I made a Mistake and binged all of SU over the course of two days after seeing a handful of scattered episodes of it as a kid and like... I knew ahead of time that there was an unholy amount of discourse about it and coming out of the show I thought I'd succesfully identified all the controversial topics, only to come back to the internet get hit over the head with a giant mallet labeled "Lapis lazuli is an abuser"

the qsmp is hugely abt grief, especially the beginning, when like 3 eggs died within a few weeks, and then when bobbyy died even more so. death literally haunts this server.

im so grateful for it coming along because it allowed me to process my own very recent grief (our system has a qslime introject that deals with that grief) so it just grinds my gears when people use that grief to justify CHILD MURDER,, when child death is what caused that grief in the first place.

it's also like. a lot of these people have made being The Most Progressive Moral Leftist a goal and marker of true social clout. and they have thus made leftism a personality trait rather than a political stance. so you see takes on here (usually from teenagers lmfao) equating leftism with having sex, having friends, going to clubs, not liking "cringey" things, dressing cool, etc while conservatives/liberals are everything But that (i.e liberals are all asexual steven universe fandom moms and conservatives are all straight white men who go to church on sunday)

when the reality is like..... literally anyone can be anything. there are people who you would think are cool and awesome (i.e they're queer, they go to clubs, they have sex, they dress in modern fashion, they have an alternative appearance) and then they open their mouths and it turns out they voted for trump or think the holocaust was fake. there's tay//lor swift fans who went to jail for dodging the draft in israel. and people with fandom blogs who spend every weekend volunteering at their local homeless shelter and rioted during the george floyd protests/riots. or any combination of literally any trait w any political ideology

like you genuinely cannot tell someone's morals or political stances based on their appearance or social activities and it's really weird to conflate the two. it's not a popularity contest ykwim?

For the moment I’ll be putting a pause on content related to Forever, his character and his various series on this blog. I’m not sure at this time what sort of engagement may happen in the future, if any.

I don’t have anything constructive to add on these matters. I’m very disappointed by what’s come out, while also somewhat pragmatic - 8+ years is a long time to grow up and learn to be a better person. I like to believe people can change for the better. But no one can deny that the handling of things has been badly fumbled, and this isn’t something that will blow over any time soon — nor should it. Accountability and taking responsibility are important things in my eyes.

What I will say to those caught flat footed and who now find themselves left reeling and unsure and hurt: it’s going to be okay.

Take some time for yourself, take a break, give yourself space to process. It’s okay to be sad and disappointed, and it’s ok to be angry. It’s ok to decide to wait and let cooler heads prevail before making any decisions or judgments, and definitely ok to stop and walk away. Don’t judge yourself for things you did not know. And don’t feel bad for finding happiness and inspiration to create because of the shadows now cast on the stories that were told - there will be other brighter lights in your life that will bring joy, and that drive to create will always be yours.

Remember to tag your posts responsibly, be mindful of the impact on others when sharing details about the serious circumstances involved, and don’t rely on only one source for answers. Especially when it comes to Twitter/X.

Decided to be nosy on Twitter and people are already being insane on both sides in response to the q!bbh and q!forever storyline going on and ya know what I hope the ccs take it as a compliment that their rp is so good that freaks on Twitter can’t distinguish between what’s real life feelings and conflicts and Minecraft rp (I hope they seek help) anyway they’re both doing a great job! They’re two super interesting characters and I like that they’re being creative with their storylines

I’m unironically so impressed that I have almost 491 posts on twitter and less than 15 followers. those are TRUE schizoposting numbers. because honestly, genuine schizoposting is very rarely cool aesthetic cryptic conspiracy theory photo edits. it’s just as often a combination comedian/philosopher/creative with no other real outlets like say, open mic night or joining some kind of collective, because their inability to integrate with normative humans in society largely prevents them from entering those kinds of group social contracts. so they’re just putting it out there and if it resonates then good, and if it doesn’t they don’t really care.

all of this to say that it’s a wildly different reception than I get on tumblr and deviantART, which leads me to believe that twitter is, for better or for worser, a Neurotypical Website no matter how many monarchist biohacker puppy girls or anticapitalist radically unsanitary lichkin put their diagnoses in their bios
