We're going through a tough time rn. We've been from being a traumagenic, heavily fragmented system to a median one. From what we've gathered in therapy and in private, most of the alters who were individuals integrated and what remains are parts of myself at different ages/emotional state.

And now, it feels like I'm struck by grief, like I lost my friends. More than a decade of being together. It feels so weird. I know that it means we healed, but a part of me struggles to get it, and another part is like, "What if we didn't actually integrate but just lost communication ?" and not knowing is hard.

Has anyone lived that kind of big change in their system ? How do you process all this ? I'm aware that you don't know much about us, and it's really specific, but any type of insight helps. Even resources. If you can. Thanks.

While amalgamates still can't physically get injured, I feel like a fight like this with true hostile intentions would be pretty bad for them mentally and emotionally. Amalgamates aren't the most stable of creatures.

But oh my gosh I really like how this comic turned out, this was my first time doing a complete fight scene in a comic (any more than just a handful of frames) and I'm really happy with it! Also the magic attacks were all fun to draw, the giant mask will forever be my favorite.

? no i am currently in the midst of writing a whole villain au centered around the idea of them making each other worse. they're just not my favorite dynamic and i find it genuinely frustrating how other relationships get undermined in favor of them, sometimes in ways that are directly contradictory to the way canon sets them up

and honestly i think the idea of them having some kind of "special twin bond" almost feels insulting to raph and mikey because sometimes people really write like they dont care about them at all. do mikey and donnie constantly being paired off to vibe when all the plot things happen mean nothing to you ...... DO THEY MEAN NOTHING TO U.............

I wonder if color wishes that the souls could take full control over the body more often sometimes, especially coming straight out of the Void.

Dealing with real life, an actual real life with adult responsibilities and tasks and society and people and sounds, after having been in what amounts to solitary confinement and captivity for almost 2 decades of their life on top of physical disability, autism, and ptsd, must’ve been so overwhelming and terrifying and exhausting.

I wonder how often Color wanted everything to just stop. To go back to the Void. To go away somewhere else, even if not physically. For someone else to take over and handle this because he can’t do it anymore.
