Just watched Smiling Friends for the first time and it's really fucking with me how similar Mip is to my D&D character that I made before ever even hearing about Smiling Friends. Name starting with M, red hair, bard, like 2 feet tall, big ol nose, buck teeth, even down to SPEAKING IN THE 3RD PERSON???? Basically the same personality too. It was kinda freaky watching the episode honestly

I'm back again! I once again forgot to upload things last week. But now I am here! And it's even more fitting, I'd say; I ran another D&D session last night, and two of the players recently graduated, so I drew character art for them! Thematic!!

NPCtember 6: Two rogues stretch and warm up to start their day. The tiefling and gnome have a friendly chat while thinking on their mission today. The rogue's guild is an important player in Ninestar's safety, economy and gang violence approach. While not out in the open, their work is known to all thieves and assassins in ninestar. It puts bounds and regulations on the methods professional thieves are allowed to use. It also strongly beats down rogues who are non-members, fulfilling a similar role to the adventurer's guild. Since the introduction of the guild, there have been more strongly organized crime rings- but they are often to be bargained with, provide a semblance of community protection, and has significantly reduced deadly assaults. It has also provided a dark market that is at least loosely overseen by a body. With the reduction of deadly assaults, there has been a rise to significantly disabling assaults and significant economic extortion. Deadly assaults between gangs and gang members have not reduced.

When I think of musical genres associated with standard fantasy species, it's probably elf rock and orc metal, but gnome music is definitely gnomecore. Gnomes just feel like they'd be about -core.
