TOH WITH A IMMORTAL READER!

Okay so this wasn’t a specific request or anything so I’m just going to answer here with how I think each character would cope with having an immortal significant other. This got very long as I included basically everyone that’s on my masterlist… oops!

Also, to reiterate, these are just my thoughts so they’re very biased towards how I interpret the characters — and your relationship with the characters can be romantic or queer-platonic or similar depending on your preference!

Adrian Graye-Vernworth

doesn’t even remotely believe you at first and will probably assume you’re joking. but once he does recognise your honesty then he’ll probably have something of a breakdown for a while and step back from your relationship — equal parts jealous of the life you’ve lived and horrified at the idea of just being a blip on the radar of your infinite life. it’s 50/50 whether this is a dealbreaker for him and he’ll either slowly inch back into your relationship or just break up with you because of the stress.

Alador Blight

alador is mostly neutral to your immortality when it comes to your relationship. like he’ll call on you for a second opinion when he’s working on something and will draw on your experience to further help his fellow witches — but he doesn’t really think about it any beyond that. though he does sometimes worry about you and how you’ll cope when he’s gone (because he knows that losing you would break him).

Amity Blight

when you tell her it’s quite the shock to the system and she doesn’t really know what to say or how to react. she’ll freeze up and you can see her thinking as she considers her response before she finally squeezes your hands and thanks you for telling her. she’d want to stay with you and wouldn’t want to break up, but she’d definitely have a few crises over the fact that you’ve lived so long before her and you will live so long after — but she also finds a small bit of comfort in the idea that she’ll never have to live without you.

Belos / Philip Wittebane

he’s been alive for far longer than he ever should have been because of his mission, so the idea of immortal entities isn’t difficult for him to believe. so upon finding out about your condition, he’s amazed but not necessarily startled by it — asking you about your origins and if there are more beings like you out there. if he truly cares about you, he’ll stick by you for as long as he’s able to keep his form stable — but if he doesn’t then he’ll just use you to find a way to complete his goal and lengthen his life further.

Boscha

boscha is someone else who wouldn’t believe you when you told her — going from genuine disbelief to shaky doubt to outright terrified denial and then through the stages of grief as she comes to terms with your condition. as sad as it sounds, this would probably end up being a deal breaker and would end your relationship as she would struggle too much with your past and future to be with you beyond that.

Camila Noceda

she doesn’t believe you at first, thinking that you’re just older than her as she’s seen some strange things but immortality is just so far beyond that. it takes her some time to come to terms with this but you do end up bonding over the losses you’ve experienced throughout your lives — you, your various lovers and friends, and her, luz’s father. she insists on learning your native language and teaching you hers so that you have an experience to remember her by.

Collector

having an immortal significant other would be the best case scenario for collector given his own life span. they wouldn’t have to worry about losing you prematurely and you’d be able to understand the issues he’s faced throughout their long life — whilst also having all the time in the world to grow with him and together as a couple. so they would be hopeful to have a spouse with this trait.

Darius Deamonne

this wouldn’t be a dealbreaker for darius but he would have a serious, long conversation about where you both stand and how your experiences would impact your relationship. he wouldn’t necessarily ask about your past relationships but he would be curious about older ages of magic on the isles and how other realms function — and especially how that can help the rebellion against belos.

Eberwolf

they’re pretty chill about the whole thing, honestly — like it rarely ever comes up in conversation so there’s no real impact on your relationship. you two just continue vibing together and spending the time you have wisely (by having fun) without the stresses such a realisation often bring. really they’re the best person you could have told — they only bring it up once or maybe twice and it’s only to make fun of you (lovingly, of course).

Eda Clawthorne

your immortality means that you have more knowledge of the world before belos and, thus, wild magic and magic as a whole. this means that eda will be looking to you to learn more about the owl beast, the history of those like her and if you ever came to know others with similar curses. she’d also insist on you teaching her about the people you loved and she’ll happily talk about raine (she’s far from the jealous type, but she is something of a gossip). she doesn’t care about making scrapbooks or taking pictures and prefers living in the moment with you and your family — living in the ‘doing’ world rather than focusing on capturing every little thing. you’ll look back on this with king and fleetingly wish you had more pictures, but the memory of her laugh and smile is tangible enough that neither of you feel like you’re missing out on too much.

Edric Blight

he will probably have something of an existential crisis about his own mortality when you tell him and would insist on finding a way to make himself live as long as you do. he starts comparing himself to the people you loved and lost and you’ll end up having to talk him into getting some help for it. your relationship will be permanently changed by this, but you will grow and heal with time — it’s just such a shock for him that he takes a bit of a mental health wobble whilst he comes to terms with it.

Emira Blight

em tends to bottle up her feelings a lot and will initially come off as very accepting and calm about the whole thing — but make no mistake this poor woman is one mislabelled jar of seasoning away from a breakdown. she’s now very aware of her own mortality and that she’s one of the probably dozens you’ve loved and lost and she’s absolutely terrified of being forgotten and lost to the sands of time. she’ll insist on keeping thorough, reliable records of your time together and by the time she’s old and you’re young you’ll be spending your last days together looking over them and laughing and crying and holding each other — finally ready to say goodbye.

Gus Porter

he will bombard you with questions about your life nonstop. did you ever live in the human realm? how has it changed? how has the boiling isles changed? there’s so much he wants to know and he has all the time in the world to listen to you talk — and he will note down everything you say and look at you with complete interest. so yeah he’ll still love you just as much as before, he’s just very nosy and eager to learn.

Hunter Wittebane

hunter is someone that would likely have a few hang-ups regarding true- and pseudo- immortality given his status as a clone/grimwalker. he’d have to do a lot of thinking regarding your relationship once he found out and a lot of serious conversations would be had about his natural lifespan compared to yours. in the end you would stay together and he’d be with you for a significant period of it (a few hundred years given him being similar to palismen) with him insisting that you don’t bring him back once he’s gone.

Lilith Clawthorne

she’d be absolutely entranced by your condition and would start fangirling over everything you must have experienced. you’ll end up getting interviewed and documented in every way possible as she asks about your history in and beyond the isles. though she might spend a bit more time on the deadwardian period than anything else (she’s biased, okay!).

Luz Noceda

luz would be amazed with you and would be eager to learn your story — as well as just about everything about you. she wants to learn your native language and hear about the cultures and people you knew throughout the years, especially if it involves some form of magic. she does, however, insist on making lots of memories with you and recording them so you never forget her.

Mattholomule

another one that doesn’t believe you but in mattholomule’s case he never ends up believing you. in his mind you’re just making a weird joke and there comes a point where you just stop trying to correct him and just live your life out with him — watching him grow old and grey whilst you remain the same. it’s on his death bed when he finally realises, but the life you shared was full of laughter and love so neither of you find it in yourselves to complain.

Odalia Blight

she is the type to use your status to her advantage which means that your relationship dynamic would inevitably shift. like she’d still care about you and be as affectionate as before, but she insists on showing you off and presenting herself as the wife of an immortal being in order to put herself above her fellow witches. you can tell her to knock it off. it will not work.

Raine Whispers

raine is heartbroken for you when they realise just how much you’ve lost throughout your life and they insist on memorialising your lost loved ones however they can. they help you write ballads for deceased lovers and learn to play songs from your home (even if their pronunciation is very shaky) because they care so deeply about you. they don’t talk about their concerns often, but they do ask that you remember them — and they leave you plenty of songs behind to do so.

Steve

as he’s quite possibly the most chilled out person in the boiling isles, steve doesn’t really care about the fact that you’re immortal. like when you tell him he’ll ask you a few questions about yourself and your past, but otherwise your relationship will stay the same and he’ll keep on keeping on. might expect the occasional cool story from your past, though, when you’ve both been drinking some apple blood.

Terra Snapdragon

she will most likely treat this as an opportunity to gain more power through your relationship. like she does care for you as you are her spouse at the end of the day, but she’s also incredibly power-hungry and having a partner who is immortal and has more experience than basically every other living entity is the ideal opportunity for her to get what she wants. so she definitely wouldn’t leave you, but the dynamic between the two of you would definitely change.

Viney

this wouldn’t be the end of your relationship but it would change a lot. viney insists on the two of you continuing to live in the moment together, focusing on making lasting memories doing things that you both love so that you never forget her. that means frequent fun dates, time spent teaching as a team, helping everyone you can and just spending time together doing what you love and having as much fun as you can whilst doing so.

Willow Park

willow is shocked by the revelation of your immortality but she doesn’t make too much of a big deal of it. like she will sit down with you and discuss anything you want to talk about, but generally your relationship remains unchanged. the only change is that she starts writing letters for you and hiding them — wanting to leave something behind for you once she’s gone.

He talks about you all the time to Mat!! He's super happy if you two get along, since you are the most important people in his life.

This is random, but he has an obsession with candles.

You were the first to come up and start "parenting" him

You were knew the previous golden guard and seeing what had happen to him you didn't want the same for the new one

Soon Darius did come along to help you out but it wasn't enough but you knew he cared about hunter

You do remember one time where you saw Hunter walk with his head low and you can tell something was wrong

So after your meeting with the coven heads you had went straight to him room but you weren't the only one who was heading there

As you went up you had saw Darius stand there till he saw you

Without saying anything you knocked on the door

When Hunter did open the door and like all the other the times, he had let you

You and Darius sat in his room and instead of pushing on what happen you just talked about your day cracking a few jokes making the two boys laugh

You even went and grabbed some treats and drinks for all three of you

As the day went on you saw it was time for you and Darius to go as you promised you and Darius will be back as you both left his room

When you left his room you looked at Darius saying how you notice his hair seemed cut and that happen once he left the emperors room

You had wanted to go talk to the emperor but Darius stopped you as if someone like you can go and talk to the emperor in a mad manner

He had stated if you do Hunter would be losing you as if the emperor would keep you alive so he had taken you to a place where no one can hear the two of you

He told you all about him and others are trying to take down the emperor and asked for your help and said if you do this you can help protect Hunter and with that you joined his group

All you wanted to do is to protect the boy as you had seen him as your own soon for years now

The streets of Bonesborough were empty as you trudged home, your limbs felt like lead and you were tired.

You’ve been tired for a while though, so it didn’t matter much.

Work was long, but then again it always is. You always try to work for as long as you can, it felt stabilising, almost like splitting yourself in two; one of you for work, and the other for when you’re not working.

You exit the town and walk through the small surrounding forest, tracking mud into your boots with each step you took.

You continued to walk up the familiar dirt path until you reached a small area of smaller houses. Most of the houses there were run down or destroyed, only two houses still stood; the house you shared with your friend Raine and the house which seemed to be a hangout place for young witches.

You walked through the overgrown shrubbery, waving at the group of teens as you did before stopping in your tracks. An abomination was stood outside your house.

You looked back at the group; they all shrugged their shoulders when you gestured to the creature.

Groaning loudly, you walk up to your house, opening the door and entering, the abomination followed suite.

You heard talking as you entered and found Raine sat with your brother and sister-in-law, discomfort clear in their expression and posture.

“Hey?”, you questioned, everyone’s eyes found you, “what’s going on?”

Raine stood up quickly, saying goodbye to your ‘guest’ and walked out the door, where they were off to you didn’t know.

You sat down in the seat they had previously occupied and half smiled at your family.

“Alador, Odalia, a lovely surprise. What can I do for you?”, you asked, trying to be as polite as possible.

Odalia smiled stiffly at you, “Oh, well, you know we love to stop by and check up on you, dear.”

You raised your eyebrow slightly at her comment; you hadn’t seen your family since Amity’s tenth birthday about five years ago.

“Well, I’m doing great.”, you responded, frustration starting to rise when you saw Odalia open her mouth.

“Are you though? You’re not working a fair job, your house is practically falling apart, you live in an atrocious area and your roommates is rarely here! Did you not see how quickly he left?”

“Firstly, Raine’s pronouns are they and them”, you huff, “secondly, I’m doing fine; my house isn’t falling apart, this area is fine, I choose how I work myself so it is fair and Raine is a Coven head, they always leave for the Bard Coven at this time.”

For the first time since they had arrived, Alador spoke up, “We’re simply worried about you, are we not allowed to worry for our family?”

“Why are you here? I want the real answer.”, you demanded, sick of whatever game they were playing.

Odalia’s face quickly turned sour as she glared at you. “Edric, Emira and Amity are starting to get interested in spending time with you. And, because you’re family, we are letting them. However, I do want them looking up to someone, worthwhile. Currently, you are not that. Which is why we came here today; we have an offer for you!”

You stared at your sister-in-law for a moment before motioning for her to continue.

“As you know, Blight Industries is a big part of the Abominations Society and because of this we are able to speak directly to the Abominations Coven, though we mostly refrain from doing so. Well, the Headwitch is looking for a new assistant and we, being as generous as we are, put your name in to be considered for an interview Nd, you were! Your interview with the Headwitch is in two days.”

You stared at Odalia, speechless, your brain fruitlessly trying to process what was just said to you.

“Wait, wait, wait,” you began, waving your hands slightly, “you got me a job interview? With the Headwitch of the Abominations Coven? Why?”

“We already told you why.”

“No, no, I get that,” you replied, “I just don’t understand why you went through the efforts of getting me that interview.”

Odalia smiles at you and you felt a shiver run down your spine, “because we care about you, isn’t that reason enough?”

After that the two stood to leave, you followed them to the door, waving them off and shutting the door.

The whole room seemed to swim as you just stood there, but you quickly took a hold of yourself.

You knew what they were doing, it was obvious but you did feel grateful for them, this job could do you well.

You sigh and run your hands over your head, you were tired.

You were also hungry but you ignored it, it wasn’t important.

So, you go off to bed, getting dressed and climbing in. You were just about to drift off when you heard your crow cawing.

You reach over and grab the bird, holding it to your ear as you answered it.

“Hello?”

“Hi!”, the shrieks of you niece and nephew came from the other side and you could vaguely hear Amity shushing her siblings.

“Hey you three, what’s going on?”

Edric and Emira quickly began to talk over each other, excitedly telling you about their day.

“So, what did you think of mom and dad’s surprise?”, Edric asked.

You hummed slightly, “It was nice, I guess. A new job would probably be good for me.”

You continued to talk you your nieces and nephew for a little while longer; Amity complaining about how she lost her gold star to someone named ‘Willow’, but then they needed to go, they said their goodbyes, promising to talk to you again soon.

You let your crow fly away and lay back down, staring at your ceiling.

You thought back to Odalia and your job offer; your interview was in two days-

Wait, two days?

“Shit!”, you yelp, tumbling out of bed, “I’ve got a job interview in two days!”

You run over to your wardrobe and clothes drawer, looking through it for something nice to wear for it.

Pulling out various outfits and throwing them onto your bed, you realised something else.

“I’m getting interviewed to be the assistant to the Headwitch of the Abominations Coven by the Headwitch of the Abominations Coven. Titan, I need to pick out something really nice or he won’t even glance at me.”

You continue to search through your clothes, you sorted them into three piles; Alright, Guess, No and Titans, No.

Most of your clothes were in the last two piles. In fact, you only had one thing in you ‘Alright’ pile; a dress.

You felt yourself cringe as you looked it over, you hadn’t worn it in a while, you didn’t know if you wanted to wear it, you don’t know why you even kept it, but it was the only thing you owned that was nice enough for this.

You hung the dress up beside your mirror and examined it, checking for holes or stains, you don’t know why you checked it, you had only ever worn it once.

You felt static in your ears as you thought of that night.

You had worn it to go to an event with your brother, Odalia had just had Amity so you offered to go in her place, and it was nice for the most part. However, during the night, someone said something to you that made you feel awful.

For most of the night, you simply talked to other upper-class witches, they were all so interested in the fact that you were a Blight, when it happened.

Someone had walked past you, and put their arm on your waist, this startled you and you had quickly turned to face them, but when you did the person just smiled.

“Well, well, well, aren’t you a sight! You’ll be fun to take home!”

The rest of the night was a blur for you, you just remembered sticking close to Alador until you both left.

You shuddered, that was the first and last time you wore the dress, it was also the last time you went to an event with your family. You looked over the dress again, suddenly hating it. Why couldn’t you just wear the stupid dress? That comment was made years ago! It doesn’t matter anymore! You’re just overreacting like always!

You felt tears run down you face and breathing became difficult. Your legs felt like jelly and you fell, you couldn’t breath. You drew a fast circle in the air and the dress promptly caught fire, purple silk turning black and then disappearing.

You stare at the place your dress hung, trying to even out your breaths, the mirror had black smoke stains on it.

After you became calm enough, you stood back up, wiping your face with your shirt.

“Well, now I really don’t have anything to wear.” You whispered to yourself jokingly.

You shuffled through your clothes before just giving up and deciding to buy a new outfit tomorrow.

You sigh tiredly and flop onto your bed, falling asleep before you even hit your pillow.

Don’t think about you and Darius adopting hunter… don’t think about how even after all this time you’re still the goofy idiot Darius loves, trauma and all. Dont think about Darius finally proposing. Don’t think about you two finally getting married or going on double dates with Raine and Eda and certainly don’t think about polyamory with Alador …. Certainly don’t think about Darius drinking wine or the witch equivalent to that with eber and talking about how much he loves his husband/wife/spouse. Don’t think about the fact that Darius can have off days now so he gets to sleep in with you after a long night (wink wonk). Don’t think about the son you both have finally losing his eyebags, healing and getting an awesome girlfriend you both low key adore. Certainly don’t think about how sentimental Darius has become because he not only had to be separated from you for so long but also because at one point he thought you were gone forever. Definitely don’t think about how much Darius adores you even if he gets shy about it sometimes. Don’t think about the fact hunter loves teasing Darius about it too. Don’t think about how happy you two, and hunter, finally are.

Man will stand up to ANYONE that even so much as looks at you wrong. He is not above fist-fights when it comes to his SO.

He is a glamorous man, and he fucking knows it. So whatever he has, he makes sure you have. If he has status, so will you. If he has power, so will you. Hell, even small stuff like pedicures and shopping days, he'll include you in.

You can not convince me otherwise that this man is amazing at makeup and will be so eager to help you with it. All his wings are PERFECT!!

Mental health days are very important!! He already has to deal with Hunter, so he does not want his SO as mentally unwell.

If you do have trauma though, he will gladly be a shoulder to lean on and....oh, would you look at that?? Your abuser had went missing..how strange.

note : these are only my headcanons so feel free to interpret otherwise or let me know your thoughts on the topic - i’d love to hear them!

[i’m also polyamorous so please don’t take this as an attack on poly people - this is just what vibe i get from each character]

Adrian Graye Vernworth

would be neutral ; would be alright with casual non-monogamy on your part and his, but probably wouldn’t be the happiest about having any metamours or thirds in your relationship - but could be convinced.

Alador Blight

would be fine with a polyamorous partner ; i feel like alador is probably monogamous but would be fine with you having other relationships - just don’t expect to have a shared third with him, he’s committed to you not someone else.

Amity Blight

would be fine with a polyamorous partner ; this would probably be a case of you being part of a triad with her and luz, so expect to have her as a metamour at least - she’d probably be okay with you branching out beyond that but prefers a closed poly relationship over anything else.

Boscha

wouldn’t be okay with having an open relationship ; is probably fine with a closed unit and having a metamour or two (though she probably wouldn’t play nice with them), but prefers monogamy for the most part - would only consider a poly dynamic if she really liked you.

Collector

would be perfectly fine with a polyamorous partner ; doesn’t expect you to be 100% romantically committed to them and doesn’t mind having any metamours so long as they can get along (and play with them) - just let them know what you want and they’ll accommodate you.

Darius Deamonne

neutral on the topic ; darius seems like someone who would be comfortable in a monogamous or polyamorous dynamic, so having a poly partner wouldn’t be much of an issue for him so long as everyone cleans up after themselves that is - 50/50 whether he’d have any other partners, though.

Edalyn Clawthorne

would tolerate a polyamorous relationship ; you’d probably end up being metamours with raine anyway if you’re with eda as they’re kind of a package deal, so she’d be more than up for dating a poly person.

Edric Blight

would be fine with a polyamorous partner ; it would take an adjustment period for him to get used to the dynamic, but ed would definitely branch out himself and have other relationships and casual flings of his own volition - may not reach out to his metamours, it depends on whether they’d ever actually meet in person.

Emira Blight

would accept a polyamorous partner ; em may very well have a slight polyamorous-lean to her and would comfortably settle into a closed triad dynamic, but would also accept a complete open relationship if that was what you wanted (though would probably only have one serious relationship outside of yours) - would probably make an effort with metamours to make things easier for you.

Hunter

confused but mostly supportive ; hunter grew up completely isolated from relationship things, so he probably wouldn’t give polyamory much thought until it was actively brought up - and even then, he’d likely be okay with you branching out but likely wouldn’t do very much himself (not just because he’s hopeless when it comes to flirting)

Lilith Clawthorne

happy to have a polyamorous partner ; just wants to see you happy, so while she’ll remain relatively monogamous she’s also happy to meet and get to know her metamours and help you plan things with them (especially if they’re as excited about the deadwardian era as she is).

Luz Noceda

probably also polyamorous herself ; you can’t be with luz without being somewhat close with amity as well, so having a poly partner would be ideal for luz - she’d also be the type to reach out to and befriend her metamours.

Mattholomule

wouldn’t want a polyamorous relationship ; mattholomule probably wouldn’t be the happiest with sharing a lover with others or having other partners at all - so being with a poly person either wouldn’t happen at all or would only happen if he was very very interested in the person and willing to accept that part of them.

Odalia Blight

wouldn’t particularly care ; isn’t the most committed person romantically and wouldn’t care if you had other relationships so long as she was your nesting/anchor partner - but she won’t make nice with her metamours unless it would benefit you both.

Philip Wittebane / Emperor Belos

wouldn’t tolerate a polyamorous relationship ; this man is a puritan christian so he would probably be limited to strict monogamy, potentially being incredibly possessive over his partner - so polyamory is off the table with him.

Raine Whispers

would tolerate a polyamorous relationship ; raine is one of the most supportive people ever and would probably lean towards a closed poly relationship with eda and any metamours they’d have through you - so bring it up and they’d be open.

Steve

neutral on the idea ; steve is probably completely monogamous but wouldn’t expect you to change yourself for him - would also probably reach out to his metamours to plan surprises and gifts for you and things like that (pretty chill).

Terra Snapdragon

neutral on the topic ; wouldn’t mind you being polyamorous/having others but isn’t romantically poly herself - might have a few flings here and there but don’t expect to have metamours on her end.

Willow Park

that's right folks I'm back on my bullshit, enjoy this short Hunter based chapter while I prepare for chapter 6, which takes place at the same time as this one ;)))

Hunter wasn't stupid.

Okay, maybe he was a little stupid, but he wasn't stupid enough to not see that Darius was definitely into his new assistant.

And, honestly? Hunter didn't blame him; they're nice, funny, hardworking, competent and actually seems to care about their job, which is a huge improvement from Darius' last assistant.

However, despite how painfully obvious it was that he liked them, Darius had yet to ask his assistant out. So Hunter decided to take things into his own hands.

So he made a plan, and by the Titan was it gonna work.... hopefully.

But he couldn't set the plan into action by himself, no, he needed back up and he knew just who to call.

"I'll be back later today, Hunter", Darius called from the front door as he left for work, "Don't blow anything up, don't set anything on fire, no flying in the house, just, don't be an idiot whilst I'm gone, okay?"

"I've got it!", the ex golden guard yelled back.

The sound of the door shutting echoed through the empty cottage and Hunter waited a few moments before he was sure that Darius was gone and grabbed his scroll.

It was time to begin phase 1; planning.

Emerald Entrails

It took the emerald entrails, Luz and Amity twenty minutes to get to the cottage, a bit too long for Hunter's liking but he could make it work.

"Alright", Hunter said as the group sat down in the sitting room, "I have gathered you all here today to embark on a mission of great importance, this is a mission of life or death, are you willing to help me with this?"

A chorus of 'yes!'s, some more excited than others, rang out.

"Awesome! You're mission is this", Hunter pulled a white board covered in paper over and dramatically ripped off a piece of paper off the board revealing the plan. A picture of you was stuck in the middle, "This", Hunter continued, "is Darius' new assistant." He pointed at you.

"Now, Darius likes his assistant and I mean likes them as more than his assistant."

"Wait!" Luz yelled, standing up excitedly, "Is our mission to play matchmaker with Darius and his assistant?!"

Hunter snapped his fingers at her, "Exactly! The plan is simple; 1. we slowly get Darius to start giving them gifts, something they like, small things at first, then they'll get bigger as it goes, 2. We get them as close as possible, that way they'll associate eachother with good things, like animals, and finally 3. Romance."

Everyone bar Amity cheered as Amity raised her hand, "Sorry just feel like I should point out that Darius' assistant is my auncle."

"Thats even better!" Gus exclaimed, "That way you can convince them to ask out Darius!"

Amity thought for a moment and then shrugged, "sure, what's the worse that could happen?"

The next day the plan was set into motion.

It began with Hunter lying on his dad's bed watching as he picked out a cloak.

"You know, I think your assistant would like that cloak, the purple one."

Darius held up the aforementioned cloak and hummed in thought, "Do you think so? Well I never where it anyone, I'm sure it would look good on them."

Amity had also made some progress on her half.

"You know, you and Headwitch Darius would make a really cute couple."

You sputtered indignantly for a few seconds, a light blush in your cheeks, "Really? Well, I don't know, maybe."

After a few more weeks of this, the group met up at the entrance of Hexside, Hunter and Amity sighed in disappointment.

"I'm gonna guess the plan didn't work?", Viney asked, watching as the two sunk to the ground.

"Yeah, I don't think it did." Amity groaned, her attempts to convince you of how cute you and Darius would be together didn't seem to go anywhere, just you laughing or waving her off.

"I'm honestly starting to think that Darius never liked them like that to begin with." Hunter sighed dejectedly, running a hand through his hair.

"Well at least you tried? I mean it could've gone worse." Willow supplied sitting next to her friends, the rest of the group nodded in agreement and Hunter and Amity couldn't help but agree.

"Yeah, they could've ended up hating eachother, I think its better they stayed friends", Gus said and hopped down the steps, "Well I gotta go now, see you all tomorrow!"

They all broke off one by one until Hunter and Amity remained, Hunter walking to the Abominations Coven and Amity to Blight Manor.

"I feel like this could've worked!", Amity muttered, "I mean they definitely seemed in love? Maybe we didn't try hard enough?"

Hunter shook his head, "No, I think Gus is right, if we pushed them too hard then they might have ended up hating eachother, it's best if they stay as friends."

The two walked in silence until Amity, split and began walking a different direction.

Hunter spent the rest of his walk to the Coven lost in his thoughts, he looked over his supposedly foolproof plan again in his mind. He reached the Abominations Coven still in his thoughts and walked to his dad's office.

He walked into the office without knocking and stopped dead in his tracks.

"Oh sweet Titan!"

"Hunter! Get out!"

The door was slammed shut with a blob of abomination as Hunter stood there with a look of horror on his face.

He wordlessly took his scroll out of this pockets and sat down on the floor.

He opened the groupchat and started typing.

Instead of going through the door you went through your window jumping on and quickly changing then jumping out your window and going in front of the door.

Knocking you were met by the sight of your dad.

“You got into a fight”? He says seeing while you walk In and sitting down in a chair.

You look down and don’t say anything but you start to feel the pain slowly throb everywhere where you got punched, kicked, scratched.

“The guy insulted my friend so I hit him to shut him up but it ended up with me nearly getting knocked out”.

You told him laying your head in your arms.

“Are you still bleeding anywhere”?

He asked making you look up at him your fire head was bleeding a lil bit.

“Ah hang on”.

Coming back In he had a cloth and a band aid.

“Don’t move”.

He says as he wipes the small cut and puts the bandage on it.

“There”.

Oh you being her kid she’s proud when she finds out that you punched a guard.

“So you punched him why”?

She asked as she’s helping you along with Hooty.

“He made fun of aunt eda from afar and I heard it coming back from school so I got into a fight and won”.
