Snowy, volunteering! I hope this question works in this spread's framework. She/they, Queen. Out of court. Earth. Essentially, my dad only recently (a couple of years ago) started buying a lot of things with dragonflies on them, including gifts for me. I had not expressed interest in dragonflies and it happened suddenly; when I asked my mom about his random fascination with buying dragonfly items, she was confused and said he's always liked dragonflies. I've been getting a slight spider-sense about this, and I'm finally ready to tackle it. My question is "Is Dragonfly an important spirit that I should consider adding to my spirit family?"

Three Kings Divination Explanation

Hey Snowy, thanks for volunteering! We're gonna do this one a little differently since this is something of a yes/no question with context.

As a reminder, the D&D Tarot is the querent. In this reading, the Skyrim Tarot and the Neopets Tarot are both Queens visiting from other Courts.

You are the Queen of Strength, ruler of the Court of Earth. Your advice to yourself is the 10 of Wisdom (Water) and the Star. Use your head and your heart to make this decision. Is Dragonfly a spirit you want to rely on as a guide or family member? It is fine to have respect for a spirit without incorporating it into your life.

In my practice, Earth and Water are on perfectly acceptable speaking terms with each other. They're not besties like Earth and Fire, and they're not enemies like Earth and Air. Earth is willing to listen to Water on important subjects while still retaining ultimate control of the decision. I do not associate the Major Arcana with elements unless the elemental association is prebaked into the deck.

The visiting dignitary from the Court of Fire is the Queen of Spells, Master Wizard Mirabelle Ervine of the College of Winterhold, and her advice to you is the High Priestess upright and the Lovers reversed. Mirabelle is implying that Dragonfly can help you across new paths that will aid you overall, but you have to go about this logically and calmly before making the decision. Can you comfortably welcome a new spirit into your spirit family?

In my practice, Earth and Fire are best friends, with Earth being willing to take Fire's advice above all other elements. Like I said above, I don't associate the Major Arcana with elements.

The visiting queen from the Court of Water is the Queen of Cups, the Soup Faerie. Her advice to you is the Five of Swords (Air) upright and the Nine of Swords (Air) upright. Simply put, the Soup Faerie doesn't think this is a good idea. She believes you already have enough on your plate, and unlike Mirabelle's hands-off approach, the Soup Faerie is willing to say so. Even if there is something to gain from welcoming Dragonfly to the spirit family, the Soup Faerie intuits that there will be a significant clashing of personalities and tempers around Dragonfly, even if it's not directly because of them.

In my practice, Earth and Water are on perfectly fine and neutral terms. Water, as Air's best friend, is often the one to bring Air's thoughts to Earth because Earth and Air aren't willing to interact directly with each other except in "dire" circumstances.

Ultimately, it's up to you, but this is what the visiting dignitaries had to say on the subject.

Some of the process work for that huge tarot deck (from 2022 or so!) !!

I'm sorry it's seriously in production hell, it's crazy expensive to produce and I don't feel right charging everyone $70 for a deck ;w; even if I did, there'd be 0 gain on my end, and for 3-4 years of work BY HAND and doing all the design/promo/editing, I'd like to have something to show for it ahaha! ^^;

As flattered as I am to hear the feedback and reception from people, especially those wanting to own a deck for themselves, I think I'm not currently in a place (time or monetary wise) to sell this deck. I'm honoured, but I'd like to keep to my personal integrity of making a deck that is affordable to everyone, myself included. I hope this is understandable, and thank you everyone for supporting me every step of the way!

A tarot card for my original story; heroes wielding mystical powers climb their way up a tower of trials, each floor based on an individual card. The Ace of Wands is the first floor and holds the city of Babel, where many of the inhabitants dwell. Isra Shimr, embodiment of the Ace of wands, works at a coffee shop at the base of the tower, welcoming unknowing adventurers to their doom.

Wide-Eye "Eylie" Golden Plains, a Tabaxi College of Spirits Bard!

The final portrait for the last player character in our new D&D campaign!

As a teenager, a day came when Eylie of the Golden Plains Clan heard something whisper for her to "run". She ignored it - and regretted it shortly thereafter, as enemy forces decimated her village and nation. She managed to escape, but lost everything and everyone she knew. Living as a refugee among non-Tabaxi who were not worthy of knowing her true name, she adopted several monikers, including Cassi Nightwhisker, Selene Runeseer, and Clio Moonclaw

Eylie managed to make a business connection with an amateur alchemist (Benjamin Ravenscrest) and sell his creations for some coin; between that, some grifting, and some half-believed fortune-telling, she managed to stay afloat. As she travels with Benjamin to a capital city to set up a legitimate storefront, she shuffles her deck of fortune-telling cards. Now believing that the voice that told her to run all those years ago was the spirit of her ancestors, she is determined to never ignore another warning, regardless of how they contact her...

Bonus: The back of Eylie's fortune-telling deck! I legitimately designed and printed a deck of cards that I use during game - you can see the card designs here. The cards that get drawn are scarily accurate a majority of the time.

My question shall be... what should my next step be? (Feel free to DM if this question doesn't work we can change it) (Yes I ask this kind of question a lot it's one of my go-tos lol)

Background: So haunting done. Yay! But now I'm unsure what to do next in regards to my faith and practice, especially when the haunting damaged it so badly. When I asked this of Aese on stream yesterday, I was told either I could stagnate (bad) or I could rely on others to help me and guide me. But I chose "in court" because I want the decision to ultimately be my own what I do, instead of anothers. I have some ideas of what to do myself, such as getting back into praying and making offering consistently, but the broader picture and the fine tune basics are lost on me.

Your Queen is the Queen of Spells, Master Wizard Mirabelle Ervine of the College of Winterhold. Her advice to you is the Chariot upright and the Queen of Voice (Water) upright. Whatever your goal to reconnect with your practice is set to, follow it tirelessly and pace yourself so you are not overwhelmed. There are those who will protect you and support or lead you to success once you figure out what it is you really want to do now.

Your Fool is the Page of Wands, Jhudora the Dark Faerie. Her advice to you is the Five of Cups (Water) upright and the Five of Pentacles (Earth) reversed (which, in my practice, turns it into Air). Your practice wound up fucked over in a way you didn't expect because of circumstances out of your control, and sometimes shit like that just happens, man. But now you've gotten past the fuckery and can focus instead on the good things - your connections with your spirit guides, doing spells and rituals not wholly focused on that haunting, and more. It was through the community you've built that you kicked the haunting's ass, and it's through the community you're in that you can finally step past it.

(Insert mandatory mention that the Five of Pentacles depicts the Giant Omelette, where Neopians can go every day to receive free omelettes for feeding their pets. But as part of The Void Within Plot, the Giant Omelette has appeared with a grey curse as of May 2024. It is unknown how long this change will last, since the plot ended up being put on hiatus last year and will theoreticaly continue in February 2025.)

Today was a good day for following your heart. The universe is telling you to chase your dreams, no matter how foolish. Let yourself imagine the things you usually keep locked away. Bask in your childlike wonder & imagination. Don’t worry about whether the dreams are achievable, for now just imagine what they look like. There will be time later to work on specifics & set concrete goals. For now, just dream.

D&D Wild Oracle: Sharmain

Nic likes to nail down character vibes by doing junk journaling! This was made pre-campaign, so maybe Nic will make an updated one reflecting the journey she's been on.

This is Nic's character for Meghan's Omens & Oracles 5e campaign / setting. Sharmain is a worshipper of the Moon, a deity based on the Moon tarot card. The setting has 22 deities, each one based on one of the Major Arcana. Meghan has really been enjoying building out various divination systems for this campaign (maybe we'll share them at some point if there is interest!)

Sharmain is a mid-thirties Harengon (smol bunny person) oracle that does many kinds of divination. She is from a family of oracles, though she set out on her own to be a wandering fortune teller (and pick pocket) who loves to collect plants and all sorts of odds and ends.

Sharmain's magic is done entirely with a deck of cards, using the Chosen One Wild Oracle build from the Adventurer's Tarot Empress Deck by Weird Works. This means her magic is rather chaotic, as she often will be drawing a card randomly and getting unexpected effects! For example, during the party's last fight, she accidentally summoned a unicorn 20 feet in the air.
