Demeter: I'm just saying. Bianca is a very beautiful young maiden. It's only a matter of time before someone asks for her hand.

Bianca: I personally don't think that will be a worry, nonna. I'm not really interested in settling down with a man anytime soon

Demeter: Why is that? Do you choose to focus more on your work?

Nico: Uhm, well, it's not as impressive as Bianca's but I got a boyfriend.

Demeter: Anyway, why don't you tell us a little bit about him?

Nico: Well, he's a child of Apollo

jason has sparks flying off his fingers at all times and staticky hair. percy always smells like the sea and also moisture just tends to gravitate towards him so he can work as a dehumidifier. nicos shadow is constantly deep black in color and around his fingers sometimes his flesh flickers and all you can see is his bones.

aphordite kids have skin that appears to be glowing at all times can tend to pull an entire room into a trance without even trying.

athena kids constantly look 10 yrs more mature than they are and they can draw people in similar to aphrodite kids but their trance tends to lead to people looking up at them as leaders rather than just being entrapped by beauty

apollo kids have a glow similar to aphrodite kids but they tend to suck in light, especially sunlight. everything else gets a bit dimmer around them, and they also tend to run above in temperature.

plants constantly reach out to demeter kids, even the grass around their feet will curl around their ankles if they pause their walking for just a second. the plants never trap them, but they yearn their touch the same

i’ll stop here for now, but my point is made. casual demigod powers that happen automatically are such a cool concept

Cabin 4- Demeter -Headcannons

The cabin is strictly powered by renewable sources

In festivals, the cabin loves to decorate the camp with plants and flowers

They take care of the strawberry fields and work with the Hermes cabin for deliveries

They can heal plants

When they feel a strong emotion, a plant reflecting that emotion will burst out of the ground

There are plants EVERYWHERE like hanging from the cieling, large pots on the floor, on the porch the outside roof and vines around the pillars

I'm not sure why I just get the feeling that the Demeter kids would be really nice and sweet

They all refer to Nico as their nephew

They always sprout up black roses and posies around his cabin pillars

Most of them have lots of freckles and dark eyes

They're vary warm and soft

Like a homey, Hufflepuff feeling

They LOVE autumn because its the time of harvest, during this time the cabin is covered with pumpkins and cornucopias

The also hand out pumpkins to the year round Campers at halloween

They run the kitchens, sort of like how the Apollo kids run the infirmary

Cottage core just cottage core campers

Many of them I feel like are vegetarians or vegans

You can always find them in the forest helping out the druids, the strawberry patches, the kitchen or stables

Because let's be honest, there's probably alot of horse loving kids

Okay so like, I just read the entire Son of Sea Foam series in a week and am currently rereading it already (halfway through Descendants of Olympus) and can I just say holy shit this has genuinely got to be one of the best written fanfics I’ve ever read.

Just the unique and interesting twists it puts on canon and how well it’s all thought, I’m literally obsessed. I remember Castor from the books but the personality and development he’s given here is just mind blowing.

That’s another thing, the characters. Aphrodite and Demeter somehow becoming my favourite Olympians was not what I was expecting going in. Just the amount of times I’ve gone from hating a character to loving then and vice versa is crazy.

Best example would be the 1940s kids. They’re all so fleshed out and developed that they could totally pass for actual characters from the books. The way I went from hating Vera with a burning passion after part 1 of DoO to loving her with all my heart after part 2 and her chapter like, it’s just so good.

The wait for the next chapter is actually killing me but ig a lot of the people in the fandom have had to deal with this for like 2+ years lol. Can any of u please recommend me some more PJO fics like SoSF 🥺

While I’m stressing over finals, have some oc content in the form of videos and lore posts because I refuse to be near a computer outside of school until next week. Send an ask if you have questions about any of my ocs that can’t be found on their profiles or if they don’t have a profile yet.

I realized I never made like an actual post talking about Dimitri being possessed and all of his diagnoses. At the age of seven Dimitri was possessed by two spirits, a kitsune and one of his ancestors. At the age of ten he was diagnosed with Multiple Personalities Disorder (MPD, it’s the 80s so the term switch hasn’t happened yet). At the age of 14 Dimitri was bit by a werewolf.

Most of his character development is revolved around coming to terms that he can’t ignore his diagnosis, the fact that he’s a werewolf and the fact that he’s possessed by two dickhead spirits as it is all apart of him. It got pretty hard ignoring them once he realized that he would need Ricardo’s help if he was to take over the family business like his grandparents want him to.

He also had to learn how to control not only the powers he gained from Húlí, the kitsune, but also to learn how to hold back Ricardo, his many times great uncle, from taking his revenge out everyone. Then there’s the trying to figure out how to not randomly turn into a different person when he’s stressed out.

The switches were never noticeable until at least five minutes after they happened because that’s when people realized Dimitri or Damian or Volk (the werewolf) was no longer with them. It became slightly easier when Dimitri mastered his mist flames and they all started reconfiguring the body into their imagine of what they wanted to look like.

There’s six “personalities” as the psychiatrist likes to call them. In reality there’s only three personalities, Dimitri the “main” that’s just regular shmegular Dimitri with all his mental disorders. Depression, anxiety from whenever he’s near Giotto and Angelica (his father and mother), PTSD, the adhd. Faceclaim: Jabari Banks

Ricardo is the many times great uncle of Dimitri. It’s not really known how Dimitri came to be possessed by Ricardo and you can’t really take the word of a known psychopath. He takes the form of what he looked like before he died, a curly brown haired and blue eyed Italian. Faceclaim: Penn Badgley

Húlí is a kitsune who had recently “accidentally” got their previous user killed in the forest behind the Vongola mansion. Húlí attached onto the closet powerful being they could so there wouldn’t be another mishap like what had happened with the previous user. He’s not necessarily a vengeful spirit, he just loves to fuck with people and uses his powers to inconvenience others. Faceclaim: Son Woo-Hyun

Volk is what Rowen started calling Dimitri’s werewolf and it kinda just stuck. Dimitri got bit at the age of 14 while he was wandering around the expansive forest behind the mansion even after he was explicitly told to stop going back there. During the week leading up to the full moon is when Volk decides to be present and he didn’t want to be left out of all the fun of switching Dimitri’s body around. Faceclaim: Tom Welling

Trigger warning for the reasons behind Damian and Demeter’s alters

Then there’s Damian, he was formed to keep Dimitri from remembering most of his abusive history with Giotto. Damian is who mostly interrupts Dimitri’s life if he feels something could trigger Dimitri. Damian will often forth when Dimitri ever has to interact with Giotto or his mother to shield Dimitri from their abusive tendencies. He tends to take the form of a more Asian looking boy to try and connect more with his Asian side of the family. Faceclaim: Ryan Potter

Demeter, she was formed after an incident in Russia when she was 8 that she doesn’t like to talk about. She is meant to reflect the childhood Dimitri should’ve had growing up without the threat of his father having a bad day and taking his anger out on him. She takes the form of young Dimitri and her name is where Dimitri derived from. Faceclaim: Mila Davis-Kent

Soo I know that Persephone doesn’t have kids in person Jackson right, but imagine the comedic genius you could have with it if she did. Like there’s this really peppy girl who is unclaimed, everyone’s pretty sure she’s Demiters kid though. She loves plants and anything to do with the nature, she says plants speak to her, stuff like that. Thought there are a few signs that show up before she gets claimed or well she told people she was calmed.

1 she had a surprising large amount of monsters that came after her. 2 multiple people have sworn they have heard her singing hard core rock music

3 she’s supper scared of water and for some reason will talk in old English sometimes. She has no idea how to read and needed to basically be taught how to do it.

4 she gets along well with Nico and seem to know a lot about each other even though everyone swears they’ve never seen them interact other then a hello to each other or small talk.

how she told people. so she fully walked up to Nico one day and asked “hey you smell that right?” She ask him like it’s nothing. Will who was with them at the time ask “what smell what?” Nico just shakes his head yes “smells like death.” “Smells like death, do you think Percy’s back?” She asks. Nico nods and Will stands there blinking confused as hell. “I’m going to give him a tall sunflower, a Yellow carnation, and Nasturtiums“ She then walks away before will could ask a question. He turns to Nico and asks “Smells like death??” “Well yeah it smells like death.” “How does she know that?!?” “She’s the child of Persephone?” Nico Says somewhat confused why he’s asking like it’s common knowledge. “She’s what!?” And that’s how everyone found out, anyway I kinda feel like her a Nico would be close because she in my brain would have been very close to dying when she was young, before she could actually die though Persephone being one to not follow rules took her to the underworld. It’s kinda implied but I thought her dying due to the Salem witch trials was something cool to do so yeah.

also for those wondering a tall sunflower means Haughtiness which means the appearance or quality of being arrogantly superior and disdainful and a yellow carnation, Disdain, Disappointment, Rejection, and Nasturtiums Means Patriotism, Conquest, Victory in Battle. Basically passively saying congratulations on winning but this is getting fucken stupid and it’s Kinda getting to your ego.
