Can I just say that it’s so cool that people have all of these different interests? This sounds a bit silly to say but. I just think it’s so cool that there’s people out there who enjoy tasks I hate doing, find so many amazing things to love in things that I would consider to be boring. I don’t find dental science as interesting as biology, but there’s people who love dental science and want to make a career out of it the same way I want to make a career out of biology and environmental science! And we need both types of people and even more people who like even more things!

It comforts me in a way, because I know that even if I don’t get into environmental science and limnology someone else will, and if I don’t end up working with aquaculture systems someone else will, and if I don’t end up working with fishes someone else will. And if I don’t do any of it at all then there’s no doubt someone doing it!
