#dier venture

Heyo, so, I noticed your reblog on a post mentioning "Dier Venture" and now I'm intrigued... is that a Mistborn oc fic I smell? Exploring the Venture family? Because if so, I would love to read it! (If Dier is just an obscure canon character or something else entirely, ignore this ask. 😅)
OH BOY UHHH OKAY SIT DOWN LET ME TALK ABOUT SECRETS IN STAINED GLASS.
Tumblr media
(Character portraits by the insanely talented Elisgardor on Instagram)
Dier Venture is my character for a murder-mystery actual play series Secrets in Stained Glass that just finished airing! It's set 10 years before the events of The Final Empire book, at a weekend winter solstice party hosted by House Elariel. We use the Mistborn Adventure Game system to build our characters and roll the dice, and the mystery and storyline itself were written and run by the ever amazing, ever wonderful @rashenditrash as our illustrious Narrator. There's a lot of fun references to the books and secrets tucked away, and even though it's technically a prequel, we did a lot of work to make sure things would fit within the Mistborn canon as seamlessly as possible.
It's five episodes long, though there's some written bonus content as well! The series was edited and produced by yours truly (it nearly killed me, but it was absolutely a labor of love) and you can watch the whole thing on YouTube or listen to the audio versions on whatever podcast platform you prefer. Though, I will say, for any audio listeners, there are a LOT of visual assets and graphics for this show so if you just listen, it might be worth coming back to look up the visual elements afterward.
Lo, trailer be upon ye:
youtube
As for Dier himself... (fine, i'll put a cut to save people's dashboards, open for more info on The Trashboi™)
Tumblr media
Dier is a known Coinshot and all around terrible trash person who makes only the best life decisions because it turns out when your name is "Venture" you can get away with quite a bit without having to deal with pesky things like "consequences." Or so he thinks, at least. He's the first cousin of the recently ascended House Lord, Straff, and is technically second in line for the house title after his cousin's little brat of an heir, Elend. No one in House Venture is really thrilled about that, including Dier himself, since he's probably the last person anyone should ever put in charge of anything and has made it no secret that he considers himself completely allergic to responsibility.
I love this asshole with my whole heart, I put WAY too much effort into developing him, and he was a blast to play. I could talk about him for hours, and Matt was an utterly ruthless Game Master and just really dug into all the messy complexities of this terrible boy and Why He Is Like That, Why Did You Make Him Like That, Feather????
The good people of the 17th Shard Discord may or may not be bullying me into doing a 10-hour stream so that I can just blab all the Dier meta into the world. We'll see.
Regardless, I love to talk about him, so if anybody ever has Dier Venture questions, my inbox is literally always the most open, haaaaaa. I will never turn down an opportunity to run my mouth about an OC and that is a threat.

Eric Dier talking about his new business venture, Spotlas, on the Apple App Store. 🍴
“Growing up in Portugal I was always someone people would message when they went there, asking where should we go to eat or which beaches should we visit,” Dier explains. “I ended up with a list in my Notes app on my phone that I would just send out to people. I love this idea because it’s putting that type of conversation into an app and giving it a social feel.”

How They All Start.
Tumblr media
Summer idea: meeting Eric Dier at a beach party and you think he might be one of those rich jerks but he actually completely charms you
______
You’d watched the group of men slowly beginning to take over the section of beach where you were, and though at first they’d started off quiet, they’ve begun to grow louder; ruining the reason you’d chosen this exact spot. Having gone through a break up just under two months ago, you’d booked a last minute trip out here, needing to just get yourself away and what a better way to get over someone than leaving the country to dwell on your feelings surrounded by sand, sea and endless cocktails?
They’d mostly kept their distance, not venturing too closely, not wanting to intrude on your personal space, but their noise, laughter, music, and conversations had reached you regardless. At first, you’d sighed after losing your way on the page you’d tried to read now for several minutes, no longer able to concentrate by their boyish behaviour but now, you can’t keep your eyes from them.
Wearing shorts not too short but not too long either, their athletic bodies are perfectly on show. For a moment, you feel pangs of guilt for looking, not only because you don’t want to be seen as ogling them but the reminder of the your break up still eats away at you and guilt seeps into your conscious for feeling pangs of lust when you should be mourning your two year relationship break down. The women who are clearly impressed by them hang around are invited to join them.
One stands out to you more than the others, odd as he’s not usually your type. His hair is still short, though long enough to run your fingers through and get a secure grip on it, the colour blonde. Even from this distance away, you can see the stubble coating his cheeks and jaw, his laugh seems to light up his face but the way the others act around him, you can see that he’s the main guy on the trip. He has no qualms with ordering more drinks, everything is put onto his card.
No doubt a trust fund baby, you sigh, not needing another one of those. They want a partner who looks incredible on their arm, not just neat and tidy but impeccable. Someone who can have sway when it comes to helping secure deals by ensuring the good family image is upheld. They want someone compliant in bed, someone who makes their dick hard and their life easy while at the same time doing everything their mother did but without being too overwhelming.
No, you decide, you don’t want to be another trophy wife like that. Absolutely not.
“Shit!” The single word is screeched in fear as a ball hurdles through the air, their crowd parts and he comes running over, panting slightly as his foot sinks into the sand a little too much and causes him to stagger sideways. The laugh he does out of embarrassment lights up his face. Genuine or a staged act he’s worked on and perfected over the years? “I’m so sorry.” He offers the apology quickly, caring more about disrupting your day than his near trip. The ball has landed near to you, less than 30cm away and sits waiting to be collected.  “Are you ok?”
You nod, eyes flicking from the ball and his body. He’s slightly crouched over, his arms extended as though he’d wanted to pick it up but thought better of it.
“Can I…?” he gestures to it and again you nod. He bends further, the muscles working beneath his tanning skin and flex. “Are you thirsty?” He asks, his eyes scanning over your belongings. “Sorry, odd question. It’s just that I haven’t seen you drink yet and it’s not exactly cold out. There’s enough with us if you want something. Even water?” He rests the ball by his hip, his forearm locking it in place. This close up you finally take him in, the softness of his hair, the brightness of his eyes and the laughter lines around his eyes brought on by the sun.
You turn to your side to gesture to the drink you already have but realise now that the bottle is empty, and your mouth suddenly feels dry. “I erm, I’d love one actually.” You say, moving your tongue around your mouth to gather any kind of wetness that you can before swallowing.
“Are you here alone?” he asks before his expression changes. “Sorry, you don’t have to answer that. A stranger asking intrusive questions. I haven’t seen anyone over here that’s all, and I thought you might be a little lonely?”
“You really are out here caring about my welfare. Do you always apologise this much?” you ask him, and he laughs.
“Well, I guess not, no so-argh!” He laughs again as he catches himself. “No, I don’t usually. That being said, I don’t often kick a ball towards a woman on her own, so I thought I needed to make it up to you somehow.” He’s smooth. Charm oozes from him, he’s well spoken and despite him trying to appear as confident as possible, you now see the cracks. Small glimmers of insecurity and it’s this which intrigues you more than anything.
“That drink would be a good start.” You find yourself saying.
It’s only a drink, you tell yourself, it’s not a summer fling.
But isn’t that how they always start?

For the ask game and Dier:
🍓
🥃
🍓: Does your OC have any particular scents they like? Or hate?
Dier's fond of liquor, so I think he would appreciate the strong scents of whatever the Final Empire's spirits can offer. As for scents he hates... I like to think there's some kind of cologne that his father used to wear that he just cannot stand even a hint of it in his vicinity without feeling rage bubbling up.
And speaking of liquor:
🥃: If your OC was in this universe, what would be their favourite show/book/band/social media platform?
We actually came up with this very silly/fun modern streamer AU during the ridiculous 10 hour Dier stream thing where Dier was a twitch simp/constant annoyance for the mods of another party member's chat until they let the audience in on the ruse. He would get in stupid twitter fights and stalk people on instagram too, I'm pretty sure.
I don't think Dier would really follow much fictional media though, he strikes me as the kind of guy who maybe gets a little too into sports teams...

Negativity
“I'll always use the negativity as more motivation to work even harder and become even stronger.” Tim Tebow
So, before I begin, I little something about me. If you’re reading this then we’re probably followers of each other on Twitter. I’m a Twitter veteran of about 10 years or so, but last year I shut down my account. I was surrounded on all corners by negativity, to be fair, mainly around politics and the state of our country. At that time in my life, negativity was the last thing I needed so closing down the account was the natural thing to do. However, what I did miss was the interaction with my fellow spurs fans. So, I opened a new account, set my name as Park Lane (more on that later) and proceeded to follow and interact with the Spurs family, players, ex players etc etc.
My name is Jon Matthews. I’m 38, a father of 3 and have been married to my wonderful wife since 2004.
I’m a relatively mild mannered person. Like everyone, I get irritated by the day to day grind of life but at the same time I try to stay as positive as possible. I manage a branch of a multi national builders merchant and have done for the past 17 years. I live on the South Coast in a sea side town in Dorset.
The reason I chose to go under a pseudonym is simple. I wish to stay as anonymous as possible. That way, most things aren’t taken personally and helps me to blend into the background. However, saying that, I’ve managed to rack up almost 1k followers since I returned to the Twitter format.
So, Park Lane? Simple. It was always our home growing up. When I say home, I mean our WHL home. I live in the South West, right down on the coast but we were frequent visitors to WHL during the 90′s (and still am of course) and my Dad always preferred the Park Lane end, so that’s why. These days, I’m more fond of the Paxton road end, especially now, looking across at the wonderful 17.5k single seater. Maybe one day I’ll venture across but for now, Paxton upper, 518 is my preferred home. I visit as much as possible. My kids are all Spurs fans. My Son comes to all the games with me and my girls accompany us from time to time.
Tumblr media
The reason for my blog?
It’s really easy to get carried away in the heat of the moment. Especially off the back of a frustrating result. Case in point, last night. With our depleted squad, the first leg against a buzzing young side like Ajax was always going to be a tough ask. Even more so without Son and Kane. Lets not be stupid about this, most of our goals have come from them this season so my worry was always about where the goals come from and last night proved that point.
I had numerous heated debates last night on twitter about positivity and against those that used the format to basically abuse the team, manager, club etc due to how this season is ending. But after everyone had calmed down and gone to bed, I found myself lying in bed questioning why I found it necessary to argue, online, with complete strangers. They’re allowed an opinion aren’t they? Even if their opinion differs to mine. Of course they are.
That’s why I’m starting a blog. I shall attempt to write one after each game. Some will be long winded rants. Some will be quick thoughts. But either way, I aim to write them with a clear head. Maybe after a good nights sleep and with a calmer view on what has passed.
Firstly, my apologies to those who I swore at or insulted last night. I think most if any was in retaliation but either way, we need to stay calm don’t we?
So onto last nights game. I’ve already alluded to the fact that we were far from full strength. Let’s be clear. The squad isn’t good enough for a full on attack on multiple fronts. Yes, I believe we were wrong to not buy or freshen up the squad over the last two windows. I understand that it’s hard to buy players that maybe told from day one that their playing 2nd fiddle to the likes of Kane, Dele and co, but surely we need to think about depth? When you see certain players that have gone for a small fee or even a loan. Tielemans at Leicester for example. He would of added much needed flair and pace into our tired midfield. The whole Greilish debacle in the summer (holding them to ransom cause they were desperate and then not) plus a few others that now escape me. The fact is, there was business to do and we didn’t, for whatever reason. The game was a tough watch. I made a promise to a mate of mine who travelled with me to the City game, who couldn’t make last nights match, that if we couldn’t go together, then neither would. So instead we met up after work, got some pizza on the go and sat down with the boys and waited for the inevitable. I wont go through the game, we all watched it but my opinion was simple. We took too long to settle, we let Ajax get a foothold and their goal could and maybe should of turned in to 2 or 3. However, we dug in, survived without conceding any more. The second half was a different story. Sissoko made a huge difference in the mf and took complete control. Who’d of thought we’d be relying on him like we have been. I don’t think he’s our player of the season but lets agree to give him most improved! If it wasn’t for the lack of firepower up top, I really think we’d of got something out of the game. Let’s be fair, Ajax defended pretty well. Lucas ran and ran but without doing much. Llorente did all he could. Dele and Erikson, the two we really needed to stand up and be counted really didn’t. Are they tired or are we asking too much. Sanchez looked overwhelmed but I think the rest of the defence did pretty well. It was evident pretty quickly that a back 5 was the wrong tactic. Poch realised this, post goal and we looked a lot tighter. I really do hope that Jan is ok. That looked horrible on the tele. I can’t see him playing Saturday and hope that we go with Toby and Foyth at centre back. Start Davies at LB and push Danny (mom in my opinion) in to a midfield role. Like the 2nd leg, we’ll have Sonny back. Not only will that add much needed pace and a goal threat in the final 3rd, it should add a bit of confidence back into the team.
We’re at bare bones. That can’t be disputed. We have to make do with what we have now.
We can blame Levy for a lack of vision or commitment to the squad?
We can blame Poch for his stubbornness.
We could all probably make a list of reasons but at the end of the day, we don’t run the club. We don’t spend the time with the players. We don’t pick the squad.
So what can we do? We can support the team. We can maybe ease off the abuse of Tripper, Sanchez, Dier. Maybe we can all wait until the final whistle of our final game before we start an autopsy of the club. Cause let’s face it. Our squad maybe depleted, maybe not good enough, maybe carrying dead wood but we are 1-0 down at half time in a Champions league Semi final, sat 3rd in the best league in the world, have some of the most talented (on their day) players in Europe and one of the best managers out there. I’ve not even mentioned the state of the art training facilities, oh and the best stadium in the world!
Maybe we are all fickle bastards who like to moan a lot. We’re allowed an opinion. We’re allowed to argue with each other but at times, let’s not forget the bigger picture because at the end of the day, even if we lose the 2nd leg, even if we drop out of the top 4, we’ll keep coming back again and again.
Why? Because this is our club. Our one and only club.

ok here is a lil intro to adam !!
[ that’s adam dier walking down the street, the twenty-five year old, who looks like matthew daddario. here in apple peak, he is currently unemployed. some say he acts like prince adam from beauty and the beast, since he can be discreet, but also a little bit cold. ]
points —
the diers were like...the family in apple peak.  his dad was in real estate.  he owned a large amount of properties in town and rented them out as homes & businesses (think mr. fischoeder from bobs burgers)
they all lived in dier manor which is this huge gloomy mansion on the outskirts of town.  its that house that kids make up stories about, how if you go in you never come out
while adam’s father was a relentless businessman who showed little empathy or compassion, his mother was exceptionally kind.  adam clung to her for most of his life, always preferring her gentle approach to his father’s bitter hand.
when adam was thirteen, he and his mother were in a terrible car accident.  a drunk driver hit them on a busy road, their car over turned eventually bursting into flames.  miraculously, first responders were able to rescue adam from the wreck, but his mother was not so fortunate.  she was killed on impact.
though adam survived, he walked away with several severe cuts and burns.  several large scars run across his face and burn marks cover the right side of his torso.
for the remainder of his life, adam was brought up by his father.  the ways of business were drilled into him and soon their servants would whisper about how adam was lost.
now twenty-five, adam’s father has since passed as well and he is now an orphan.  every dollar his father ever earned is now in his name.  most of the dier business affairs are now handled by their assistants and associates, but as the heir the the family name, adam still reaps the benefits.
he’s become very dark and twisty over the years, but in the last year he’s begun to come out of his shell.  he would once lock himself away in his mansion for days.  now you may see him venturing out.
is it for a particular reason?  has someone(s) softened him? idontreallyknowhardtosaytbhwhocouldbesure
he likes to pretend he’s tough and mean but he is just !!!  a soft lil boy.  don’t let him fool you.
established connections —
finn & teddy — his bros.  the motorcycle gang of apple peak.  u know that episode of spongebob where spongebob is terrified of a motorcycle gang he thinks is called the wild ones but they turn out to be the mild ones??? thats them
isabelle — a girl that he ...may or may not have a big stupid crush on.  may or may not have almost started dating her and then left for england for three months like a big fat idiot
lucien — an old friend of the family’s.  he knew the diers well.  adam has always trusted him
sally — he knows her through finn and she may be teaching him voodoo oops
other possible connections !! —
im so bad at these BEWARE
other friends from his childhood — maybe kids who knew him before the accident and saw how he changed ? or anything rly
high school friends & enemies — adam wasn’t very...social in high school.  he mostly kept to himself and a few other people.  maybe someone who he actually didn’t hate talking to, or maybe kids he didn’t get along with whether that was them teasing or his temper which he has a hard time controlling oops
tenants — the diers own a lot of the town, so it’s possible people would know him from renting from the family.  he doesn’t handle a lot of the business side, but occasionally he dabbles in it, and if they have a long history in apple peak, they may have known his family
im so bad at thinking of these but if you want to plot pls just hmu and we’ll think of smth!!

Chelsea Football Club - Hakim Ziyech has given Thomas Tuchel a big decision before the new season at Chelsea
After his splendid pre-season exhibitions, Hakim Ziyech has shown that he can flourish in Tuchel's framework whenever permitted the opportunity to communicate. Hakim Ziyech was the champion entertainer for Chelsea football club in their 2-2 draw with Tottenham on Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge. The Moroccan got twice before an unruly homegroup eager to be back in front of the new mission.

Tumblr media
Ziyech has gotten the attention over pre-season for his exhibitions and allies will be contemplating whether he is going to become one of Thomas Tuchel's key figures. In the wake of battling for steady minutes last season while managing injury issues and adjusting to another association, the most recent couple of weeks have given the expectation Chelsea's £35m venture on the previous Ajax man won't be viewed as an error.
What Ziyech has displayed in the past two games against London rivals Arsenal and Spurs, is that he needs the opportunity to communicate his most noteworthy abilities. The 28-year-old coasted across the pitch, discovered smart pockets of room, and got the ball in great regions to cause devastation.
Ziyech began Wednesday night's down on the right of an assaulting triplet with Kai Havertz and Timo Werner. Similar three began Sunday's down at The Emirates. Ziyech played now and again what could be considered a 'bogus nine' job behind the German couple in the 2-1 win over Arsenal, permitting him space to drop further and string passes behind a high Arsenal backline for the speed of Werner and Havertz to take advantage of.
Chelsea football club's first objective exhibited this accurate example, with Ziyech discovering Werner with huge loads of grass to run into before the forward tracked down his German friend Havertz to complete wonderfully. It is difficult to brush past the second in the second time frame where the winger by one way or another figured out how to miss an open objective from a position where it was simpler to score. However, his general game as far as making top-notch chances made it a positive evening.
Tumblr media
The arrangement from Tuchel against Spurs was somewhat modified with Havertz playing off the left, Werner as the focal assailant, and Ziyech getting going his more preferred right-sided position. Aside from his effect ready, one of the components of Ziyech's exhibition that ought to be valued is his force in squeezing which is fundamentally significant in Tuchel's framework. At whatever point the opportunity introduced itself Ziyech was there to win back belonging high up the pitch. Limiting the time took into consideration Tottenham when they attempted to work out from the host's press.
At the point when Ziyech got the ball, he was destroying. N'Golo Kante's ideal block attempt on Lucas Moura was a game-changing second that opened the space for Ziyech, who had put himself in a focal position prepared to profit by the switch under lock and key.
When he got the ball he right away drove forward, compelling Tottenham's middle back matching of Eric Dier and Japhet Tanganga to withdraw as Werner made a run wide to give his partner a passing alternative. However, Ziyech had different thoughts, choosing to penetrate a work into the base corner past Pierluigi Gollini. For more details about Chelsea VS Watford Tickets.
The Moroccan kept on entering comparative space when taking up focal positions. A splendidly fresh pass from Mateo Kovacic discovered Ziyech again with space to make, this time bringing the ball to an abrupt halt before rapidly seeing the room discover Werner set in the middle of Dier and Tanganga.
Tumblr media
The pass released Werner who took the ball around onrushing attendant Gollini and unquestionably wrapped up. However as current football law expresses, the offside banner should be raised on Werner at whatever point he places the ball in the net. Replays have shown the objective ought to have stood and Ziyech's help was denied.
Ziyech would twofold the Blues' lead right off the bat in the subsequent half, by and by beginning from a more profound focal situation as the assault developed on the left with Werner, Havertz, and Marcos Alonso trading pass. The forward's expectation to by and by being in the ideal space delivered profits when Alonso's sliding pass discovered Ziyech responding first before setting a left-footed shot into the contrary corner with class.
What Wednesday demonstrated is that Ziyech's remarkable ability wants a bespoke job, instead of another gear-tooth in a machine of robots. Tuchel's Chelsea is an organized machine that is difficult to separate, however now and again has come up short on a more outgoing nonconformist to bring to the table an elective method to open up contradicting safeguards. For more details about Chelsea VS Manchester United Tickets.
Like how Cesc Fabregas used to be the imaginative center of Chelsea, Hakim Ziyech now needs to satisfy a comparable job. To amplify the once named "Wizard of Amsterdam" Tuchel needs to permit Ziyech the opportunity to play in his sandbox and work in the shadows. He can wander into perilous regions as often as possible and his wand of a left foot has the wizardry to open safeguards.
Tumblr media
It is not difficult to fail to remember the brilliant beginning he had under Frank Lampard last fall in games against Sheffield United and Burnley. An initial strike at home to Atletico Madrid in the knockout rounds of the Champions League and objectives against Manchester City in the FA Cup Semi-Final and Premier League football demonstrate this is a player that can impact huge matches.
Getting the ball to the feet of Ziyech in focal regions may not generally be pretty much as simple as Arsenal and Spurs made it look given the wide space, they permitted Chelsea football club's aggressors; however, this pre-season has featured the ability such countless allies got amped up for when the exchange was finished in February 2020.
We are offering tickets for Premier League admirers who can get Premier League Football Tickets through our trusted online ticketing marketplace. Worldwideticketsandhospitality.com is the most reliable source to book Premier League Football Hospitality and Premier League Packages.

Euro 2020: Resolving the England Midfield challenge
In tournaments gone by, universal distress has built-up about England’s lack of top-class inspired midfield options. While Ross Barkley, Jesse Lingard, and Dele Alli have acquitted themselves well in recent years, an emerging crop of youngsters is hitting top gear as we approach Euro 2020. Euro 2020 fans can book England Vs Czech Republic Tickets on our website on exclusively discounted prices.
In the middle of outstanding domestic campaigns, the likes of James Maddison, Jack Grealish, and Mason Mount will all be vying for a starting spot, leaving Gareth Southgate with a welcome problem as he decides on his main man for the England midfield.
Tumblr media
The England Midfield Conundrum
The Anchor
Future entrants to the England midfield are suspect to do so at the rate of Jordan Henderson. He is striking his peak as captain of the most awesome English club side in recent history. Henderson’s winning and calming presence in the middle of the park service to make him England’s undisputed midfield general in games to come.
Those chosen to flank Henderson will largely depend on the caliber of the opponent. Declan Rice or Eric Dier, both center-backs by trade, would bring solidity against those who can hurt England offensively.
However, their own need for the ability to venture onward and shape teams open render this approach slightly unenthusiastic. Euro 2020 fans can book England Euro Cup Tickets on our website on exclusively discounted prices.
24-year-old Harry Winks may be more advantageous cooperation. Into his 4th season as a Tottenham Hotspur regular, Winks’ progressive passing from a deep midfield role has increasingly caught the eye of those in the top-flight.
Tumblr media
Rarely one to stray too far upfield, Winks provides an attractive middle ground through which England can remain defensively stable but provide adequate service for star players further forward. Whether Southgate fancies this midfield energetic is another question, yet Winks provides an exclusive equilibrium that earns him the proposal.
The Vacancy
Henderson and Winks’ defensive capabilities leave room for a third, more attacking option to complete the midfield trio. By my estimation, six young Englishmen have a shot at cementing their spot in time for summer.

‘Laser Therapy’ July8th, 2019 #lasertherapy © Outhouse Cartoons/C.A.P 2019
Hey there, sorry for the delay in new material over the last few weeks. It’s been a bit of a dozy for myself over here. This year saw an issue that had been a minor annoyance becoming a major problem shortly after G4G 2018. Around ten years ago I had gone in for a resection surgery; the surgery, unfortunately, wasn’t successful and I came out of it in worse condition than when I had gone in. But this isn’t about that. Actually, my issues this year have only had a side acquittance with my Crohn’s Disease. It was actually a catheter that started all of this. When the nurses came to remove my catheter they had major issues and were causing me a great deal of pain. It took four nurses and a urologist to eventually get the tube removed. This was the start of a new situation for me. I would go home and try to heal from surgery only to have to learn that I no longer have full control of going pee any longer. For weeks I found myself unable to control or even know if something was happening. Though I had CD for nearly 10yrs at this point, this was low that I wasn’t ready to deal with. I wasn’t equipped to handle the feelings I was going through. Feelings of defeat & being broken. Honestly, they never fully go away.
I would slowly get used to this new normal. Changing up routines and diet to help work around whatever new problems may arise. And for a time, this had worked. As I mentioned up top. This was merely an annoyance.
That is, until the start of this year.
Things took a nasty turn near the start of the year. I suddenly couldn’t leave the house without needing to go pee within moments, but this was no normal feeling of needing to pee. One morning, I had done my best to empty my bladder so I could go help my luv with some errands around town. We had only just made it to the recycling depot when the need to pee came back and came back strong. Within minutes I was in a dier amount of pain and discomfort. My luv moved as fast as she could and before long we were driving home. It was only a five minute distant by car but I was in tears and screaming due to the pain and discomfort I was going through. This would be the last time I ventured out of the house properly until after another surgery.
Around a month or so later I had gone in to see my GI for a routine checkup and mentioned what I was going through. He set me up with a Urologist who after a moment's glace had figured out what probably was the problem. Or so he thought. I was scheduled for a cystoscopy within a couple of weeks, eager to find out why I was going through this. The scope came and went without me being able to go through the test. They couldn’t get the scope into me… I was feeling defeated. Broken.
From there a surgery was scheduled. I was to have my urethra widen with the use of a laser. Yes, you heard that right. I was being signed up to essentially live a scene from one of my favourite classic Bond films.
Another month of just trying to make it through the day with a resemblance of control over what I was going through. If I’m honest, I was scared. Real scared. But my luv helped keep my fear under control. Soon, things would be better. The month had passed by faster than I expected it to and before long I was driving up to the hospital for my surgery. Hand in hand with my luv, we went forth. My nurses prepared me for surgery; while my luv watched with a nervous calm. She’d never really gone through anything like this before but she was staying strong for me <3 And like that, the surgery happened.
I came out having three procedures done at once. They lasered my urethra open wider, pulled stones from my bladder which I had apparently been dealing with for some time and then also ended up giving me a circumcision in hopes of preventing any further issues down the line.
It’s been just over a month since my surgery and I would say I’m about 95% healed. My body has been taking it’s time through this process; we had stopped my humira injections for the first few weeks but once at week four, we couldn’t hold it back anymore as my CD symptoms quickly crept back into place.
It’s been an honest struggle over the last year trying to control two different washroom based issues. Doing one thing for one problem only to causes issues with the other problem & vice versa. But I am here on the other side, nearly healed and completely ready to head back out into the world. This is only part of my story; Have you had to go through other medical problems/conditions/symptoms that took precedence over your IBD? Tell us in the comments below.

A chance for Bournemouth at Anfield, Burnley and Spurs battle for European slots and Fernandes can seize big derby stage
Given their 22-point lead at the top of the table, no one at Liverpool is likely to be concerned by three recent defeats in four games across three different competitions. Of course, while a win against Bournemouth would help steady the ship and halt the onset of anything approaching mild jitters, Eddie Howe’s men will head to Anfield to face hosts recently derobed of what had previously resembled a cloak of invincibility. With Fabinho in poor form and Jordan Henderson still sidelined with injury, Liverpool look uncharacteristically vulnerable in midfield and are crying out for on-field leadership. While it ought to come in the form of James Milner, who returned from injury during their midweek FA Cup defeat at the hands of Chelsea, Bournemouth will still fancy their chances. There is never a good time for a relegation-threatened team to venture into the belly of the beast that is the champions-elect, but if you had to pick your moment, now seems a better one than any other. Rating England’s players from their Euro 2020 reality Czech
JORDAN PICKFORD As nice as it is to watch an England game and consider the best player to be Pickford, that is more of an indictment on those ahead of him than anything else. But the keeper did as much as can be expected, making fine saves from Masopust and Kral during the second-half onslaught. There was little he could do to prevent either goal, aside from commandeering Keane’s mind and implanting a greater level of awareness into his subconscious. The sprawling stop from Coufal in the 9th minute was notable as it showed he could maintain concentration, with the effort coming amid screams for a penalty to be awarded after an apparent handball.
KIERAN TRIPPIER It felt a little unfair to tarnish him with the same brush as the rest of a defence that was chosen in spite of their form rather than because of it. Trippier has been reenergised by his move to Atletico Madrid and is not in this squad because of reputation. But this was not good enough in a position that is so well-stocked. He played almost as an auxiliary winger at times as Rose stayed back in an unnecessary homage to their Tottenham partnership, yet created no chances whatsoever. He was equally ineffective in defence. It is worth reiterating that the starting right-back for the two-time Premier League champions has not even been selected in the last two squads to make room for such inadequacy.
MICHAEL KEANE How curious that a centre-half who has not missed a single minute for the team 18th in the Premier League, who have not kept a clean sheet since their second game of the season, would look precisely as such. He lost Jakub Brabec for the equaliser, lost his mind countless times when pushing up out of position unnecessarily, and has surely lost his England place. He was f**king terrible.
Michael Reluctant, more like.
Right, guys?
Guys?
— Football365 (@F365) October 11, 2019
HARRY MAGUIRE Towards the start of the second half, Clive Tyldesley and Glenn Hoddle postured over England’s dearth of central defensive options. The point – that what once seemed to be a deep, thirst-quenching well has suddenly become a shallow pool – was fair. But the claim that Gareth Southgate is still searching for a partner for Harry Maguire is worth questioning. How many poor performances for his country will it take for there to be some sort of consequence for him rather than who he is next to? Or does Maguire’s club status as an £80m signing grant him, if not immunity, then more patience? There is no disguising the fact that this was the latest in a long line of particularly poor displays from a player who is supposed to be some sort of leader. He didn’t even win a header!
DANNY ROSE For those rare occasions he wasn’t floored – fouling someone, being fouled, trying to block a shot or just generally forgetting how his legs properly function – he was simply flawed. Rose was pretty much a non-entity: too deep to contribute to the attack yet offering little to no protection in defence. The one time he did venture beyond the halfway line he received what looked suspiciously like a concussion for his troubles, hardly helped by the noise the stadium generated when the winner was scored down his vacated side. Ben Chilwell, please.
DECLAN RICE He was not so much bypassed as he was removed from the equation entirely. There was a distinct difference between what Rice is supposed to offer – simplicity, mobility, security – and the reality of what he actually provided. He can be exonerated for slipping before the equaliser, but there were so very many moments that exposed his limitations. One came in the 7th when Sterling and Kane both broke forward and made defence-splitting runs, but Rice was either too slow to notice or simply unable to get control of the ball himself before releasing it.
No tackles and no interceptions doth not a defensive midfielder make. And that neither he nor Henderson committed a foul tells its own story: they simply couldn’t get close enough. That Rice was sacrificed for the third substitution came as no surprise; that we are now pining for Eric Dier is a bit of a shock.
Rice looks overcooked. And shite.
— Football365 (@F365) October 11, 2019
JORDAN HENDERSON As with Rice, he did not offer enough movement or options to those behind, nor sufficient supply for those in front. His central midfield partner at least has the excuse of inexperience, the sort which a Champions League winner simply cannot rely upon. Henderson feels perfect for this side as a deep-lying playmaker of sorts, with England’s front three somewhat replicating the style of Liverpool’s. Indeed, no outfielder played more than his 13 long balls. Yet only five found their target, half of Maguire’s total. England were slow, plodding and unambitious. Much of that was on their oldest player.
JADON SANCHO Those claims that England had found their attack for the next decade or so felt awfully premature long before Jadon Sancho trudged off in the second half. No shots, one chance created and one dribble is considerably less than we have come to expect from a player attracting a £100m valuation and attention from clubs across Europe. There were flashes, some bright touches and a fine pass for Kane’s blocked shot just after half an hour, and this was but one game. But his inability to draw the ball from his own feet after Kane returned the favour in the second half spoke of a player who looks far more inhibited on the international stage than he has any right to be. This was a reminder, were it ever needed, that he is a teenager who will need time and patience to fully develop.
MASON MOUNT The opening goal would not have been possible without his pass to Kane. And a positive, incisive dribble in the 29th minute was an attempt to force the issue, awake England from their slumber and show an intent to do something different. But he understandably faded thereafter. The system was altered entirely to accommodate him but the style of play was not: it still relied on an inspiration from deep midfield that never came. Mount certainly suffered for a lack of understanding with relatively unfamiliar players, but can be happy with the fact that no teammate created more chances.
RAHEEM STERLING There were Vietnam-style flashbacks of the Sterling of old when he was played through for the penalty, and a timely reminder of how far he has come. It looked as though the chance had been completely wasted because of a couple of poor touches and an inherent indecision. But he rescued the situation, improvised and helped give England a lead he ought to have doubled when trying to round Vaclik. There is something to be said about the fact that he completed at least twice as many tackles (4) as any teammate, although he will be disappointed at being largely nullified throughout.
HARRY KANE Some of what he offered was genuinely excellent. Kane’s ability to and insistence on dropping deep almost negates the need for a No. 10, such is his capacity to find and execute the sort of pass that he himself would relish. It was his first-time ball that preceded the penalty, his brilliant hold-up play that found an opening for Sancho and his movement that left an otherwise untarnished space in behind the defence. He had more shots than any player for either side, and should have converted the late chance that came courtesy of Barkley. But when blame is handed out for this defeat he will be towards the back of the line.
  SUBSTITUTES
ROSS BARKLEY (on for Mount, 71) Football is a fickle beast. Friday began with Barkley painted as persona non grata, the 25-year-old ousted for club and country by a player five years his junior. But he made more of a mark in 19 minutes than Mount did in 71. The pass for Kane’s late chance was glorious, and about as much as can be expected from an attacking player parachuted into such a situation. He was one of few players to actually improve his stock here.
MARCUS RASHFORD (on for Sancho, 72) Completed more tackles (2) in 18 minutes as a striker than Keane, Rose, Henderson and Rice combined (1). Did not misplace a pass and only had nine touches. But failed to turn a tide that was in the process of sweeping England away long before he was introduced.
TAMMY ABRAHAM (on for Rice, 88) What exactly was he supposed to do?

Danny Murphy’s Premier League predictions: Kevin De Bruyne is back for Pep Guardiola
The Premier League will be back next week with more intriguing and exciting storylines than ever.
Will Manchester City and Liverpool dominate again? Can Ole Gunnar Solskjaer turn over Manchester United ? How will Frank Lampard do when Spurs and Arsenal have broken their transfer records and he cannot sign anyone?
Mail on Sunday columnist DANNY MURPHY gives his opinion on all major problems at the top and bottom …
The Premier League is back next week with more intriguing and exciting plot lines than ever
Manchester City and Liverpool were 25 clear points of the field last season. I'm sure they won't repeat their incredible results, but it will still be a two-horse race for the title. The gap is too big for their rivals to make up for in one go.
A fully fit Kevin van Bruyne will give City a boost, he is one of the best midfield players in the world, but I am still supporting Liverpool to reverse last May's one-point deficit.
Partly because City could unknowingly prioritize the Champions League after winning the Premier League twice in a row. Pep Guardiola would never admit it, but his players would take their more winning games for granted and occasionally miss out.
The main reason, however, is the departure of Vincent Kompany, their leader for so long. Kompany can be replaced on the field, but in the dressing room and training field it will be impossible to find someone with his experience, credibility and gravitas.
Every team, no matter how good, has moments in the season when players bicker or fall out. The manager cannot always fix things: sometimes it is up to a senior player to say "I need a word" and set things right.
City has a new captain, but Kompany's influence went beyond wearing a bracelet. He had authority and the respect of everyone. When City got tired at the end of last season, it was no coincidence that Guardiola turned to Kompany to play and reassure. His winning goal against Leicester was symbolic in determining the best title race ever.
City and Liverpool qualify again for the Champions League, but when six major teams go for four places, two miss – as Arsenal and Manchester United did last season
I feel that United will improve through financial power – especially now that they have signed Harry Maguire – and will join Tottenham in the top four, which means a broken heart for Chelsea. They have made the right arrangements in Frank Lampard and Jody Morris, but will have to be patient, since they have lost Eden Hazard, have a transfer ban and are without the injured Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Vincent Kompany can be replaced on the pitch, but in the dressing room is the impossible
A few clubs think they can crack when they break through the top six, with Arsenal looking the most vulnerable. It would be good for the Premier League for someone to break through, but I think the Gunners have too much firepower in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and £ 72 million new boy Nicolas Pepe to lose their status.
if anyone can do it, I think it's Everton, who has shown real ambition with their purchase of Moise Kean from Juventus, and those who read this pages know that I'm a fan of Andre Gomes, whose loan from Barcelona has been granted permanently.
I may have wanted the chances of Leicester City, but Maguire is leaving a gap. Each replacement needs time to develop and may not be effective from day 1.
Wolves finished seventh last season, nine points behind Manchester United, but it will be difficult to improve. Not only because they play Europa League football, but opponents will also work them out and give them more respect.
WILDER LEADS LOAD OF ENGLISH MANAGERS
It makes sense that Premier League clubs want the best players and managers, no matter where they come from. So it's nice to see that English coaches are now considered high enough to get jobs at the highest level.
There will be eight managers in the Premier League this season, most for a few years, and I am particularly impressed by the work that Chris Wilder has done at Sheffield United. He has received much praise in the last 12 months, but has been excellent for 18 years – from Alfreton and Halifax to winning promotion at Bramall Lane.
Sheffield United punches above their weight, but they give it a real go, as Neil Warnock did at Cardiff. Recruitment, organization, togetherness and a fantastic team spirit can go a long way and I think they can cause a few surprises, even if they eventually fall.
see that English coaches are now highly regarded to get jobs at the highest level
NORWICH AND BRIGHTON SEE VULNERABLE
Bridging the gap between the championship and the Premier League is difficult . Promoted teams need a good start, otherwise it can be very demoralizing.
Aston Villa has signed a dozen players, but their recruitment looks better planned than Fulham's one year ago. Guys like Matt Targett, Tom Heaton and Tyrone Mings know what the Premier League is about, while Scotland midfielder John McGinn could be a revelation, the way he can pass people.
Sheffield United will be dangerous underdogs but I am worried about Norwich, who has to play against Liverpool in Anfield on Friday night. They were brilliant in the championship and played football, but that can be a disadvantage this season if they have less ball. I don't see that they have the same firepower as the Villa. There is always a more established club that is in danger and this time it could be Brighton because they are trying to change their playing style under Graham Potter, which is always a risk.
Burnley and Crystal Palace will stay
With Brighton, it is uncertain how they will respond to Potter's philosophy after being used to Chris Hughton. It could go very well, and I hope it does as a fan of good football. But the Premier League is a relentless place for people who learn while working.
Brighton tries to change their playing style under Graham Potter, which is always a risk
TOTTENHAM LANDE SUMMER SIGNING
The deal that struck me most this day Tottenham broke their transfer to sign midfielder Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon for £ 63m.
I saw Ndombele quite well last season, he is an excellent athlete and has the ability to shoot people past and get the whole team on the field, as Mousa Dembele used to do. Unlike Dembele, he can also choose a creative pass.
Ndombele will be a crowd puller because he does not take the safe option with the ball. It can sometimes mean that you lose possession, but more often he will make something good happen. I think he will be best alongside a partner who holds his position, such as Harry Winks, Eric Dier or Victor Wanyama. Then he can venture when the opportunity arises.
The record buy of Arsenal looks explosive and fast and Aaron-Wan Bissaka at Manchester United is a great player. Rodri in Manchester City is big and powerful, but I don't see him reinforcing his first XI yet. He was signed by Atletico Madrid to succeed Fernandinho in the long run, but at the moment he is not as good as the Brazilian, who can break forward and hit one in the top corner.
Tottenham broke his transfer record and signed midfielder Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon
SOLSKJAER SUPPRESSION BUT I PREFER HIS OPPORTUNITIES FOR EMERY & # 39; S
Only one manager is directly under pressure when he loses his first match: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United. You will not see any pressure on Jurgen Klopp if Norwich Liverpool or Frank Lampard gets upset when Chelsea is beaten in Old Trafford this Sunday. But Solskjaer has to run on the field.
United is one of the biggest clubs in the world and the way they ended last season with major players who didn't perform was unacceptable. The size of the club and the money spent contribute to the research.
The good news for Solskjaer is that I think they get through better than expected. Wan-Bissaka and Maguire will prove good acquisitions and the expenses must not stop before the deadline. I think they can return to the top four and give Solskjaer breathing space.
Arsenal must spend more than anyone else in the last few days of the window. This is their third consecutive season outside the Champions League and unless they do business in defense and midfield, they have no chance to end that run.
PLEASE NOTE, KANE IS BACK
Harry Kane has won but missed two Golden Boots In the last two seasons to Mo Salah. As he started the preseason, I wouldn't bet he would regain his crown and put him in a perfect mood for Euro 2020.
Kane looked sharp, not just his goal from the center line against Juventus. After injuries last season, he has that steel determination and I feel he could have one of those runs.
I played with open-minded strikers like him. If we were to win a match in Liverpool and Michael Owen had not scored, he would be furious. Alan Shearer would admit the same. What I like about Kane is that he never gets calmer. The team may play poorly, but will always support themselves to score. If he scored twice, he would never be easy, he would be desperate for the hat trick.
It's about goals, goals, goals for him and I predict that a lot will come.
Harry Kane has won two Golden Boots but missed in the last two seasons to Mo Salah

Croatia beat England in an extra chance to win the World Cup
Croatia beat England in an extra chance to win the World Cup
Croatia will go up against France in the World Cup last - their first since forever appearance in one - in the wake of beating England 2-1 in additional time in Moscow because of a Mario Mandzukic objective.
England delighted in a considerable measure of ownership in the early trades and paralyzed Croatia with an objective inside five minutes. A stunning touch from Jesse Lingard set up Dele Alli, who was fouled by Luka Modric simply fresh in a focal position. Kieran Trippier ventured up and twisted a heavenly exertion into the best corner to net his first universal objective.
With England on the front foot, Raheem Sterling nearly hooked onto a go from Jordan Henderson however Croatia goalkeeper Danijel Subasic dashed out to assert the ball. The Manchester City winger's pace was being focused on the counter and Sime Vrsaljko was fortunate to block a long ball with no one else close them.
England  ability from set pieces nearly went to the fore again as Harry Macguire met a corner yet headed only wide of the post.
Croatia recaptured their poise and started to put a series of passes together.
