Books are a luxury and if you can't afford a title, save your pennies or check out a copy from your local library. There are plenty of free resources and public domain texts available in the meantime.

It's worth mentioning that plenty of authors in the witchcraft and pagan markets make a point of providing free resources and advice to the community on a regular basis, myself included. To take that information and then turn around and steal from us on top of it is not only petty, it's cruel, especially considering the financial hardship we're all facing in the current economy.

New Murderbot Discord Server Launch

Hello, fellow Murderbot fans!

This is a post to announce that we are starting a new Discord Server where we can talk about "The Murderbot Diaries" series by Martha Wells.

There are already several excellent discord servers, big and small, in existence, but our emphasis is to be beginner-friendly, and has a relatively narrow focus on the book series.

All are welcome, including:

People who have just finished the first book and want to talk about just that book, without spoilers for subsequent books

People who have just started to read and are still confused

People who have never used Discord before and are a little worried about the protocols there

People who need to look up all these abbreviations, like 'lmao', 'artmb', 'ship', 'tmbd', etc. (I know I did...)

People who love the series and want to talk with people who are new to refresh their take

People who love tmbd and are happy to interact with newcomers

We consider our server like a hub-station for beginners (thus, named "Murderbot Transit Hub"). Find footing before joining other servers with more defined characteristics. With kind permissions by owners/moderators of other Murderbot discord servers, we have a page where you can find the descriptions and invitations to other servers, too.

There are no protocols with this new server - except

"if in disagreement, just agree to disagree - excercise tolerance and accept diverse views".

I myself am new to tmbd, Tumblr, Discord etc. (all from this year...), so, I am not a confident moderator. But I love to interact with people and talk about The Murderbot Diaries (TMBD).

Fortunately, the server is created and set up by a lot more experienced @crabs-brencil, so we are in safe hands!

Well, my dear dear Tumblr user, our writing community is diverse, from poets to original authors to fanfiction writers of all genres! And our range of skill levels is just as wide. We have people just stepping foot into the writing scene to folks who've been stuck in the paragraphs for centuries. We chat about our stories, share our work, brainstorm, proofread, and do prompts and sprints. However, I would like to make it clear that our server is more of a writing community, so it isn't as writing-focused as other writing servers out there. I'd say it's 60% fun shenanigans and 40% writing-related. Being on stage is a lot of fun! Even though I’m nervous around people, I don’t feel it as much on stage. My secret is that the stage lights are so bright that I can’t see the audience! Performing for people here is much scarier because I can see their reactions, but I do my best to keep my cool.

As for hobbies, I’ve recently started learning plant magic gardening! One of my siblings gave me this plant to look after that was nearly dying, so I healed it helped it make a full recovery with the appropriate care. Now I have a pet plant! I don’t know what type of plant it is yet, but I’m excited to find out! I’m probably going to ask around to see if anyone else has any sick plants they don’t want anymore. What do you think I should name this one?

For about 10 or 12 days I had a Discord Server called Eclectic Grove. I was excited about this server because it was something I wanted to create for awhile now. It was going to be about the different types of pagan traditions and practices. It mainly focused on European Witchcraft because thats what I knew and wanted to discuss.

I made the mistake of advertising it on Tumblr. I didn't realize how "Woke" Tumblr was and it completely destroyed my server. The number of fights that would break out towards me because I used the wrong "Term" or refused to add a non-pagan tradition would soon turn into fights within the server. A lot of this was directed at me since I held the power.

I made the mistake of making a woke girl a mod. She was more about smearing pagan tradition to make others happy who weren't actually pagan than protecting the traditions people faught for. Paganism when I was a child did not even have its own section in book stores. It was shoved into the back dark corner and basically forgotten. If someone was browsing through that section than those people generally were not treated well at check out.

This eventually ceased to be a problem because people faught for their right to practice their faith. Wicca eventually because a recognized religion on college campuses and other faiths such as Druidry, Celtic Paganism, etc. These practices are still growing and people getting together and sharing knowledge about these practices is what helps keep it alive.

I strived to do this on my own discord server. But you know whats more important? Gender and Skincolor. My server had NOTHING to do with someones Gender or Skincolor. The woke leftist of Tumblr tried to make it about this. Eventually the fights moved to DM'ing me to fight with me on my views for my server.

If you join a server and you don't like the way things are being ran, LEAVE THE FUCKING SERVER! This, I thought was common sense, it isn't. So in order to protect myself from getting anymore death threats or perhaps being Doxxed as this was also threatened to me. I got rid of the server entirely. Why can't people just click "Leave Server" is beyond me. It isn't that hard. Maybe Woke people just can't figure out how a button works. Who knows.

Like I said in my last post on Tumblr, if you are trying to learn a practice, and you were using Eclectic Grove as a way to educate yourself. You can msg me and we can talk. I might just add you to the private server I have made.

To everyone who didn't cause trouble I am sorry this happened. Feel free to msg me. We can talk about things and see if you can join my private server.

Users are receiving messages from random and familiar contacts under friends profiles and accounts claiming they've been reported by accident and to contact a dev (the scammers account pretending to be a support administrators buy adding them and providing their information to the dev to flag the fake report on their account only to be locked and logged out after changing the email to one requested by the 'Dev'.

The name of the account that the dev is impersonating : Stanislav Vishnevsky [Support]

from research I've done and my experience losing access to my own account, they seek to hold the accounts owner for ransom or bank information.

Enable 2 factor authentification, change your @ tags, restrict your discord to other app connections, and update passwords and emails.
