I saw the band that wrote/sang the song that inspired ‘Are You Happy, Stephen?’ again on Wednesday night and I think it gave me the kick up the arse to finally finish the next chapter of ‘Face Your Fears, Doctor Strange’ because I feel like I haven’t posted any in AGES

It was just for one night. (Y/n) had to remind herself that not only was this the fiftieth time he had canceled on her, but that he was also a hero and could be very busy. She couldn’t be mad at him. She understood his reasons, even though his reasons were quite stupid before he became a sorcerer.
(Y/N) knew Doctor Stephen Strange back in medical school. He was a cocky bastard who only cared about fame and money. He would turn down so many suffering patients, only because their problems weren’t interesting enough and didn’t improve his reputation as the best doctor around.
Why was she friends with a guy like him? You may ask. Well, only she knew the soft side that he kept hidden. She wasn’t sure how it happened, or doesn’t really remember how they met in medical school, but she knows him to be a soft character on the inside.
Back before he became a sorcerer and learned magic, he was a man who loved his job only because of the money and being the most popular doctor out there. (Y/N) found herself having peaceful and meaningful conversations with him quite often…that was his soft side. He joked, had witty comments, and was kind enough to give small gifts for her birthday or for major holidays. She even noticed the soft smiles he’d give her at the end of their conversations before they had to depart and take care of a patient.
But because he was so busy as a famous doctor, (Y/N) and Stephen never went out on friendly hangouts, like normal friends, as much as they’d liked. There were times where they celebrated, and Stephen asked (Y/N) out to a nice dinner. (Y/N) did her best to bring him out at times, too.
And he had said he enjoyed their time together outside of work.
Yet, deep down, (Y/N) knew he’d rather be with someone else than her. She knew Christine Palmer, a fellow and nice doctor, to be in his eyes at all times. (Y/N) always caught him staring at her from time to time, even while in the middle of a conversation, and as she stood at the end of the hallways.
It was hard on (Y/N). And being her usual caring self, she left it be and gave them space. She figured that she’d find someone else. As time passed, she didn’t find anyone to keep her company for the rest of her life, but she did become close once again with the famous Doctor. Although, now….he’s a hero.
“Magic…?” (Y/N) was appalled. Thrilled, even, by hearing what he could do now. He was gone for months and he comes back with some magical abilities and a new look. She had to admit the new look…looked rather good on him.
She also noticed the way he smiled more. The deep fame-craving demon inside of him so long ago has now disappeared and is replaced with adventure, curiosity, and maturity.
He had changed. And in a good way.
Stephen smiled briefly, one corner of his mouth tipping upwards, almost covered by his fancy mustache. “Yeah. Weird, isn’t it? Never thought I’d come back with…this,” he gestures to his new outfit. Ancient-like styled blue robes covered his body, as well as a vibrant red cloak hanging off of his shoulders. A gold oval case-like medallion was positioned on his chest, attached to his clothes.
(Y/N) had to admit that the outfit had her staring longingly at him more.
“That is…weird,” she says slowly, trying to gather her thoughts, “in a good way! Of course…I mean, it’s super cool.”
“You think so?” He starts, but puts a finger up as if to stop her from saying anything yet, “Wait, the outfit, or the magic?”
(Y/N) lets out a giggle, “Both, actually. Both are really cool. The outfit…I think it suits you.”
Stephen keeps his smile, “Well, at least I have that going for me. Your opinion means a lot.”
And since that encounter, they have gotten even closer. He tries to hang out with her as much as he can, when he isn’t trying to save innocent lives and the entire world or universe. At some point, it became a bit difficult for him to arrange any meetings, so he came to a conclusion.
“Visit the Sanctum?” (Y/N) could feel her jaw drop at the thought of being in such a sacred place. Well, she knew it wasn’t really sacred, but it was an important place for the sorcerers. She had never been there, and had only heard so much by the doctor himself and his companion, Wong. “I did…say it right, right?” The many vocabulary words spoken by the sorcerers is a bit much for her brain to handle.
Stephen chuckles at her last question, softly patting her hand. The soft wind in the park fought against the few black strands of his hair that had escaped his specific hairstyle. They sit on the bench, talking about their lives and what they missed.
“Yes, you said it right. And yes, you should visit. In fact, you can visit anytime. I’ll be there most of the time, anyway.”
The excitement (Y/N) felt of seeing him more often than not was almost overwhelming. She could tell he could see right through her, about ready to bounce off the walls with questions and happiness.
Since then, she had come by the Sanctum practically everyday, when she wasn’t busy. She felt as if she had no place but by Stephen’s side. Usually, on his most busy days, she sat and read a book, or asked Wong a few questions while Stephen worked and studied.
It came to a point where they set up a guest room just for her. In case she ended up staying far later than usual and she had a room to sleep in.
But not all things were to go as smoothly as she’d like.
The past few times of trying to go out to a meal, go for a walk, or anything else, Stephen had canceled on her. (Y/N), at first, didn’t mind at all. He was a busy man and had good reasons to cancel. Such as saving lives. (Y/N) even noticed how much he cared about her feelings when he canceled. She hadn’t ever heard him apologize so much in her life.
Then one night, he canceled on her once again. But this time, (Y/N) was very upset about it. She couldn’t do anything about it, though, as his reason was going to save the world once again.
In fact, she was so upset, she tried to avoid seeing the doctor as much as she could. She figured that stopping by the Sanctum one early morning to return a book she borrowed from Wong could help her not run into Stephen…but it was too difficult to say no to Wong when he offered her to stay for breakfast.
The tension in the room was heavy, (Y/N) noticed, as she quietly ate her breakfast. It was quite good, actually, and she always enjoyed the rare moments Wong made meals. She tried to keep her eyes trained anywhere but on Stephen, who sat at one end of the table, also eating his breakfast. His usual blue robes were on. His ‘work clothes’ he called them.
The silence was almost too much to stay in the presence of. (Y/N) tried to eat her breakfast quickly, without it being obvious, so she could leave. But Wong cleared his throat before she could shove the last few mouthfuls of her food, grabbing their attention.
“So…am I missing something, or did you two get in a fight?” The man finally asks, breaking the awkward silence.
They sure did get in a fight the night he canceled on her. She snapped at him over the phone on accident, but the deed was done and she actually felt good about saying something to him. It felt good to let out her frustrations once in a while, instead of holding them in. Since that phone call, they hadn’t really been talking to each other.
When the two didn’t respond to Wong, he decided to shrug his shoulders and leave it be. “I see. It’s none of my business,” he says, backing off, “Anyways, I heard Christine is having a wedding. Are you two going to go?”
(Y/N) remembers the invitation Christine sent her, and how happy she felt at seeing such exciting news. But her mood sours once again when Stephen nods. “Yes. Well…maybe. I don’t know yet,” he stumbles over his thoughts.
“Ah, well, I would assume so since you went to help her the other night. How did that go, by the way?” Wong asks innocently.
The loud clang of (Y/N)’s fork hitting the glass plate echoes throughout the room, causing the two men to freeze and look at her. She had never held such a mighty glare towards the man she loved. And she can tell it’s affecting him, by the way he flinched as soon as their eyes met.
Stephen helping Christine with her wedding wasn’t a big deal. Of course, it wasn’t, since they are close friends. But (Y/N) remembers Stephen being so busy lately, he hasn’t had a chance to hang out with her. So when in the hell did he have the time to help Christine?
“When was this?” She grits out past her teeth.
Wong leans back in his chair, slightly concerned by his friend's reaction. “Two nights ago, I believe?”
“You canceled our plans to go help Christine with her wedding?!” (Y/N) snaps, abruptly standing up from her chair.
Stephen jumped at her words and stood up, as well. “No, no!” He blurts out, his hands flinging up in some kind of surrender. “It’s not what it looks like-“
“Not what it looks like!” She scoffs, “Stephen! Those plans were important to me! I got a promotion for my dream job, something I have wanted for a long time, and we planned it! Way before your little date with Christine!”
He looked taken aback by her words, a little confused on why she called it a date when it wasn’t anything close to it. Hell, she’s getting married to another man. “Date? (Y/N), you need to calm down and let me explain-“
“Yeah, when pigs fly!” She huffs, but points a finger at him after she realizes what she said, “don’t even think about it.” Stephen nodded, fighting a smile at her random and aweful comeback. “What I mean is that you can think about what you did and apologize to me. That night was important to me, Stephen, and you lied to me about it! You said you were saving the world! …I thought we were friends…”
(Y/N) doesn’t give him time to respond as she walks out of the room, as fast as she possibly could without tripping and making a fool out of herself. She ignored the call of her name by the doctor as he ran after her.
“(Y/N), stop!” His raised voice almost startled her, if she weren’t so upset.
She didn’t stop, though. But suddenly, in a blink of an eye, she finds herself walking right through a sparkly portal and right behind Stephen. She was still in the same hallway, just transported farther back then she just was. “Don’t you dare use your magic on me!”
Stephen turns around and places a firm grip on (Y/N)’s upper arms before she could walk off past him. He looked annoyed more than anything as a heavy sigh leaves his lips, struggling just a little against her nudges of getting out of his grip.
“Would you just…listen?”
Realizing he wouldn’t let her go anytime soon, (Y/N) holds her breath and stays still, allowing him to continue. “Look, yes I canceled our plans to go help Christine with her wedding plans, but,” he pauses, his light blue-gray eyes looking right into (Y/N)’s, “Christine told me there was going to be a fireworks show at this restaurant in a couple of days. I wanted to ask you to move our dinner to that day, so we can properly celebrate your promotion…”
His voice was so soft, it was starting to get difficult for (Y/N) to be mad at him anymore. In fact, all she felt was guilty at hearing his words. He didn’t cancel their plans just to hang out with his past crush, he canceled because he wanted to make better plans.
“But you yelled at me over the phone before I could explain that… so, I’m sorry for not saying it earlier.”
“Oh, Stephen…” she gasps lightly, feeling her eyes burn as tears well up, “Oh my god…no, I’m sorry for not listening to you. I’m such a horrible friend…” she stresses. Her hands ring through her hair as she looks away, too embarrassed to look at him.
Stephen doesn’t say a word while he brings her to his chest, wrapping his arms around her back and softly rubbing it to comfort her. “It was just a misunderstanding. Nothing to worry about…I was trying to figure out how to tell you.”
A few tears slip down (Y/N)’s cheeks, her head resting against his chest. He rocked their bodies back and forth gently, soothing her to an extent. She could feel his chin resting on the top of her head. She felt so at home in his arms. “God…I’m so sorry, Stephen. Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?”
A light chuckle escaped his lips, his chest rumbling at the action, “Yeah. Go to dinner with me. As a date.”
She couldn’t help but to gawk at him as soon as they separated, her eyes so wide the man smiled in triumph. “A…a date? As in, like…”
“A couple, yeah,” he concludes. His hands rub her shoulders from time to time, as if he didn’t want to let her go, “If you’ll have me…that is.”
It took (Y/N) a few moments to realize she was still holding her surprised expression, making the sweet moment a bit awkward. She quickly snaps her mouth shut, her head nodding as she tries to find the words. “U-uh, yes! I mean, yeah…of course, Stephen…”
The doctor smiled so wide, it was quite heartwarming for her to see. She smiled, too, at their new relationship. She didn’t know what to do next. Her body practically rocked on its own as she stood there, her eyes having a hard time looking into his. (Y/N) could feel her cheeks grow warm by how embarrassing this was.
Stephen took the liberty of moving his hands from her shoulders to cupping her cheeks, bringing her to look into his eyes. He slowly moved in, lips softly connecting with hers in a slow, heated kiss.
It felt as if it lasted for an hour, but it was only a few seconds. It was slow, passionate, sweet, and so warm, she didn’t want him to stop. Their eyes briefly open when their lips separate and their breaths fan over each other's faces as they try to regain what little air they lost.
Love is what (Y/N) saw in his eyes as they stared at each other. And she felt all the more connected with him. No words were spoken, too busy studying the face of the other. Studying what feelings they had for each other. And, soon, their lips lock once more.
This time was more heated than the last.
“I’ve always wanted to do that with you…” Stephen mumbles between kisses, unrelenting of letting her go.
(Y/N) giggles at his words, realizing how cheesy they were, “Me, too.”
— — — —
Bonus(Kinda spicy):
“So, uh…why did you lie to me? You know…why didn’t you say you were helping Christine?” (Y/N) decides to bring up later that night. Her body was snugged up under Stephens arm as they read some books together. A quiet, perfect moment, to cuddle and for Stephen to work.
She could feel the man go tense under her body, and he smoothly rubbed her arm with the arm that was hanging on her shoulders. “I…uh…panicked,” he says slowly, turning a page in his book.
“Panicked?” she repeats, scooting herself back a little to look at his face. He met her eyes before he raises his eyebrows in question, “Doctor Stephen Strange…panicked? Never thought I’d see the day…” she mumbles, turning back to her book.
He scoffs, wrapping his arm over her shoulder once more, “Really? It was difficult to say the truth when you were yelling at me for canceling again. Figured it’d make things worse…”
(Y/N) hums, her head finally leaning back against his chest as she read, “You deserved that, by the way.”
“Are you trying to stir something up?” he sighs, faking to sound annoyed. She could feel his breath against her neck as he closes in, his warm and soft lips touching her skin as he softly kisses the spot, “‘cause it’s best not to start something if you think you can’t finish it.”
A giggle escapes her lips when he carefully takes the book from her hands, his body leaning more and more onto her and against the couch, trapping her under him. “You think I can’t finish something I started?” her lips touch his in a quick, passionate kiss, “because I’m ready to prove you wrong.”

🔥 Different Futures
Stephen ponders his feeling for his current girlfriend and his ex until his girlfriend returns with some questions. TW. Angst, arguments and unhappy ending.
~ 4 minutes
Tumblr media
Stephen sat on his bed in the Santum Sanctorum twiddling an opened envelope in his damaged hands.
Written inside was an invite to his ex lover's, Christine's, wedding. He hadn't heard her name much since their difficult break up and after he met you he decided that he was over her anyway. So why did this invite hit him like a brick wall.
He loves you. He really does and there is no denial of that in his mind. He loves the way you laugh at his lame jokes and sarcasm. He loves the way you hold his hands and play with his hair when he's down. He loves your smile that could brighten a dark day. But most of all he just loves you.
However, reading this invitation has Stephen questioning his love for his ex girlfriend also. Whilst they were dating he was so sure he would end up marrying her and even now when picturing her wedding, he could only envision himself as the groom.
As he sat there engrossed in the thin paper, examining his thoughts and past memories, he failed to hear you enter the Sanctum after a hard day of teaching some young sorcerers at Kamar Taj.
As you approached the bedroom you decided to suprise your boyfriend as you managed to sneak off work early to celebrate date night and hopefully an exciting night together.
Creaking open the door of your shared room slightly ajar, just so much as your eye could peep through, you spotted him on the corner of the bed holding what looked like an envelope. He had his concentrating face on like nothing else in the world mattered at that moment and you couldn't help but love him just a little bit more.
Crashing into the room after a few seconds he finally looked up at his beautiful girlfriend. Y/n smiled and as usual readied herself to pounce into his lap and rant all about her day before snuggling into Stephen until they were interrupted (usually by a hungry stomach or Wong).
This time however, Stephen simply gave a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes, stood up and just before teleporting out the room, claimed he needed to go on a quick walk.
Y/n huffed lightly at the lost opportunity to suggest date night but instead she would suprise him later on with a fancy meal.
She climbed onto the bed to discard her teaching clothes and to find something more casual when she crawled on top of the slip of paper Stephen had been cradling so carefully.
Y/n would never interfere with any of Stephens possessions or property but her mind practically blew when she read the name 'Christine' at the top of the pamphlet.
Later that evening when Stephen got home, after clearing his head at Central Park, waiting for him was his wonderful girlfriend and some very fancy looking meals.
"What is all of this?' He questioned partly amused and also slightly concerned.
"Date night silly" y/n giggled.
After a few minutes of an almost complete conversation spoken by Y/n and the odd input from Stephen, Y/n decided to ask about the wedding invite.
"So...Christine's getting married?"
Stephen spilt some of his drink at the abruptness of the conversation change from master Lings latest glasses that are too big for his head.
"Eurgh...yeah. Some bloke named Charlie. How do you know about that?"
"You left the invite on your bed, sweetie" y/n giggled again.
Stephens face tensed. "Why would you read that. It was addressed to me".
Y/n felt a little confused about this reaction she has never seen Stephen look like this. "I didn't open it Steph, it was just there on the bed. Are you gonna go?"
Stephen had also been asking himself this question but the last person he wanted to talk to about it was his current girlfriend. He politely excused himself from the table and said he was tired.
"Stephen what's wrong? Where are you going?" Y/n shot up and followed him throughouly confused with his reaction.
"Y/n please just be quiet I have a lot on my mind right now" Stephen snapped.
Y/n who was frantically chasing him up the Sanctums stairs was suddenly taken aback. She'd never ever seem Stephen act like this ever, especially to her. "Stephen whats going on. I just asked you a simple question why are you so angry?"
Stephen looked incredibly intimidating right now. Although only a few steps above y/n he towered above her and took the full control of the atmosphere and y/n would have been quite scared if she wasn't so stubborn. "Will you stop asking me questions!" he yelled.
"Will you just tell me what's going on then!".
As he was about to turn around y/n just about caught him muttering something along the lines of "Christine" and "was the right choice".
"What?" She countered.
Slowly spinning back around again to face her Stephen almost whispered "she was the right choice. I should have chosen her over you".
"What?". Y/n felt tears prick in the corners of her eyes and heat flame around her body. She pictured herself raising a family with Stephen, growing old together within the Sanctum. And suddenly everything felt cold.
Stephen didn't mean to come off so rude but he needed Christine not y/n and she deserved to know the truth.
"Do you love her?" Y/n somehow managed to release from somewhere inside her body which just felt tight and empty.
"I don't know...yes. I do".
"So you don't love me?"
"Yes...I do".
"Stephen you can't have both of us. She's getting married anyway you don't have a chance. This is just a silly little crush you'll forget about her soon. I promise. Now please can we just talk and watch a movie or something and forget about this" Y/n almost begged.
She looked up at him with big expectant eyes.
"I'm sorry but no. I love her. I need her. You're the silly little crush. Not her. I can't be without her anymore. Please leave". With that Stephen spun through a portal leaving y/n alone at the top of the stairs, praying that she would get killed in battle soon.
- Thank you for reading and requesting xx

thinking about how stephen strange and christine palmer are the tragedy of the century. like in multiverse of madness stephen says, “I love you in every universe,” but in every universe we’ve seen or heard of so far, they never get their happy ending. how devastating is that, to love someone in every universe and never get to be happy with them? theirs is such a heartbreaking story that seems to always end in tragedy.

An Absolutely Peerless Cure Dark!Tony – Mature, Complete

Back to Where You’ve Never Been Mature, Work in Progress
In an alternate reality, Peter Parker is living out his dream of being Spider-Man and working as an intern for Stark Industries (and the Avengers!) under his hero, Tony Stark, before heading off to college.  For the most part, it's incredible.  Okay, the Avengers treat him like he's still a child, and Mr. Stark's not exactly the friendliest mentor. But still, it's good.
Except that recently, Mr. Stark's been in the worst mood and Peter finds himself the unwitting focus of the man's ire.  He tries to keep his spirits up and tell himself that it's not personal, that anyone in the lab would be a target, but when Mr. Stark kicks him out, Peter knows he's done.
Then he finds himself falling for what feels like an eternity before returning to New York.  Only it's not his New York City and the Iron Man he ends up fighting alongside is definitely not his Iron Man.  Anthony Stark is kind of perfect.  The Other Avengers are kind of perfect.  Everyone here seems to love him.  And when he and Anthony are tapped by Dr. Strange to help seal the rift between realities, Peter finds himself wondering if he was supposed to be in the reality with Anthony all along.  (AU of an AU)

Yours to Break (But Always Mend) Mature, Complete
Peter’s tears had long since stopped, replaced by weak, hitched sobs sometime after what might have been the sixth or seventh blow. He couldn’t remember why snapping back at Stephen like a brat had seemed like a good idea. He couldn’t remember why breaking the rules in the first place - starting all of this - had seemed like a good idea. (Dom/Sub)

I Can See The Man That I Fell For Fighting Mature, Complete
It was supposed to be a quick in and out job. Just into the study to grab his book he’d left in there by accident the night before, and then out before Stephen even knew he was up and about. Harmless.
It wasn’t his fault that Cloak decided it needed to follow him around like some overly nosy puppy. Or that Cloak decided it needed to join him in the study as he looked for his book. Or that Cloak had decided to apparently “guard” something in the study in way that just screamed suspicious and naturally piqued Peter’s curiosity.
In and out, no harm done.
But when it became clear that Peter was overstaying his welcome in the space, Cloak had also felt the need to snitch.
He’d really, really fucked up. (Domestic Discipline)

While the idea of accompanying Stephen to the high-brow fundraisers and charity galas seemed glamorous at first, Peter found the reality turned out to be much more disappointing. Everyone looks down their nose at him; people are forever swarming Stephen and flirting with him; and Peter usually finds himself alone, bored, counting the time until they can leave. However, he keeps attending in the hopes that he'll finally get a chance to dance with Stephen like he'd imagined.
One night he gets to dance with a surprising friend, which may finally lead to a bit of happiness at the damned events going forward.

Worried about his partner, Stephen tries to think of what it is he might have done wrong. Upset, Peter pulls away.
It takes a bad set of prototype arrows, saving someone's life, a friend snitching, a stern Dr. Palmer taking control of a situation, a very un-teamlike spying session, and an uncomfortable discussion or two before Stephen and Peter are back on the same page. (Domestic Discipline)

Goodbye Grey Sky, Hello Blue Mature, WIP
In an alternate universe where trains and zeppelins are still common forms of travel and the internet and cell phones exist, Peter Parker has few options left after he's swindled out of his inheritance. Unable to pay for college, let alone keep the house left to him by his deceased aunt, he's running out of time before he's out on the streets. Desperate, Peter signs his life over to the Bureau of Civic Spousal Selections to take his chances as the selected husband of a complete stranger. After all, he only has to make it through a year and then he can choose to annul.
Dr. Stephen Strange has little interest in marriage, preferring to focus on his career. When his career is threatened by what a nosy board of directors considers a "lack of personal fulfillment and settling down," he opts to select a spouse through the BCSS and chooses Peter Parker. The young man's profile suggests intelligence and compatibility. It's not ideal, but if after a year it's not working out, he can always annul the marriage and send Peter on his way.
It's a marriage neither truly wants, with sharp learning curves for both. It's either going to be forever or it's going to go down in flames. (Domestic Discipline, 1950s-Modern Fusion AU)

I just think the image of Stephen Strange coming over all jealous and possessive is one of the sexiest things you could picture, so pls enjoy this random but of drabble I jotted down…
Tumblr media
The Way He Looked At You
“I suppose you have an excuse for your behaviour tonight?” Christine asked, standing with her hands on her hips in the kitchen as Stephen slammed the keys down on the worktop.
“I’m not having it, Christine…” Stephen shook his head, pacing the floor.
“Not having what?” Christine scowled, “I told you several times that you needed to go outside and have a word with yourself.”
“I said im not fucking having it.” Stephen’s nostrils flared, “The way he looked at you. I can’t stand it.”
“Stephen, he didn’t mean anything by it, I’m sure…” She frowned, keeping her eyes on him.
“Didn’t mean anything by it?!” Stephen exclaimed, “He was practically undressing you with his eyes!”
“Oh, and you weren’t?” She arched a brow, placing her hands on her hips.
“I swear, if he - or anyone - looks at you that way again, I-I’ll…” He clenched his fists, exhaling loudly.
“You’ll… what, Stephen?” She asked, only a little bit appalled at how much his possessive, jealous nature turned her on.
“Nothing, nothing…” He sighed, pulling a chair out from the kitchen table and sitting down on it as he covered his face in his hands while mumbling barely audibly into fingers, “I’m sorry. I just… It’s just… I don’t like people taking what’s mine.”
Christine bit her lip and walked closer to him, feeling her cheeks blush from his words and placing her hands on his shoulders.
“And what is yours, exactly?” She squeezed his tensed shoulders, “Hm?”
“You.” He responded without even a moments hesitation, making Christine’s heart skip a beat.
“Well, he didn’t take me, did he?” She lightly massaged her fingertips into his shoulders from over his blazer, “I’m still right here.”
“I know, I know…” He let out a frustrated sigh toward himself, “Fuck, I’m sorry for being an idiot.”
“Hey, shh…” Christine bit her lip, daring to smirk, “You know, seeing you like that was actually kind of hot…”
“Really?” Stephen leaned back into the chair, enjoying her hands working against his shoulders.
“Yes. In fact, it was really hot.” She leaned forward, grazing her teeth against his earlobe, “And I wouldn’t mind you showing me exactly who I belong to.”
“Yeah?” Stephen smirked, licking his lips, “I wouldn’t mind you telling me who you belong to whilst bouncing over my cock.”
“While that offer is tempting, it wouldn’t exactly be you showing me, would it?” She whispered into his ear, moving her hands further down the front of his body.
“Mm, watch your fucking mouth, sweetheart,” He looked up at her as her face remained peering over his shoulder, “Don’t push your luck.”
“And what if I want to?” She whispered, her lips tauntingly close to his.
“Then, I’ll have to show you.” Their lips brushed faintly together, Christine’s hands now against his thighs as she leaned over him.
“Show me?” Christine grinned, sliding each hand purposely slow over the crotch of his pants and enjoying the way he fidgeted slightly in his seat with his head turned now watching her, “Go ahead and show me, then.” Her fingertips rested over the button of his pants, “But tell me what it is first…”
Stephen’s breathing grew slightly jittery as he watched Christine’s palm gently masage back and forth over the crotch of his pants several times, his mouth falling open as his eyes grew heavy. He parted his legs — partly to allow her more access and partly because he could feel the somewhat uncomfortable restriction of his cock in its material cage. Christine turned her head and lightly kissed just below his ear before whispering into it, “Stephen?” Her lips continued to tease against his ear, popping open the button on his pants and grasping the zip between her finger and thumb and pulling it down tauntingly slow as he watched with a now hazy vision, “What is it that you’re so eager to show me, Mr Strange?”
Stephen let out a soft noise both from the tone of her voice and the swift movements of her hand. Christine had the ability of working him up and paralysing him all at the same time, and he could never get enough of it. In fact, that was just one of the reasons why he couldn’t bare to even imagine her with anyone else. He inhaled sharply, his breath hitching in his throat as he finally answered her question;
“I’m going to show you just how much my possession and jealousy over you has no boundaries.”
To continue or not continue? 🤔

He really was going to need to up America’s training schedule, Stephen thinks as he climbs to his feet and helps Christine up beside him as they look around the new universe they had landed in.
He wasn’t particularly worried, she’d grown good at locating him, but she was still trying to get the hang of not letting her portals suck in those standing beside them.
“Are you alright?” He asks Christine as he looks her over for any injuries, cringing as her eyes widen and she runs to vomit in a nearby trash can. “Should have warned you about that.”
Pushing herself away from the can, she glares at him with no heat, “Would have been nice if you mentioned it. What exactly was all of that?”
“America lost control of her portal, sucked us in and we flew through several other universes before crash landing here,” he shrugs and offers his arm to her. “She’ll figure out where we are and have us back soon.”
“Is this common being a single father of a super powered teen?” She teases as she accepts his arm and they head down the street.
“More common than I’d like to admit,” he grumbles and runs his free hand through his hair. “She’s getting much better, it just takes time. I didn’t mean for you to get wrapped up in this though.”
“Stephen it’s fine, as long as we get back in one piece,” she pauses and glances around at the more high-tech looking New York City around them. “Where are we going?”
“The Sanctum. There’s like an eight out of ten chance other me will help us or at least let us stay there until our ride is here.”
“And the other two chances?”
“He tries to kill or imprison me.”
“A two out of ten chance of being murdered is still terrible odds Doctor Strange.”
“Two of ten that they’ll try,” he comments with a wink toward her. “I’ve survived every attempt so far.”
She rolls her eyes but holds onto his arm tighter, a smile spreading across Stephen’s face at the contact.
The two of them had been working on reconnecting, and it had been going maddeningly slow for him. But he appreciated even being given that chance again.
The fact she was willing to entertain the idea of maybe someday giving them a proper try, was enough to keep him going forward. Hence why she’d been in the Sanctum at all.
She’d met America a few times, but he was trying to help build some kind of relationship between the two, in hopes maybe one day Christine would want to join them at the Sanctum. He’d been trying to be more open about everything he does, and about what’s going on his head and world.
Reaching the gate he pulls it open and ushers her through it, “Be on guard, just in case-”
Before he can finish his statement a portal opens before him and a flash of Y/H/C hair darts toward him, throwing arms around his waist, “Dad!”
Stephen shares a look of confusion with Christine at the interaction, his arms staying at his sides as the teenager attached to him chatters on.
“I, uh kid I think you’ve got the wrong person,” he says as he coughs awkwardly, and the girl looks up at him, chin as his chest.
She narrows her eyes after a minute, “Why do you look so young? You’re definitely dad, what kind of spell is this?”
Her eyes glance over to Christine for a moment, “You too, what kind of spell are you doing? And I thought you had to work late tonight Mom?”
“Who are you?” Stephen asks as he tries to remove himself from her hug. “And who do you think we are?”
She rolls her eyes and takes a step back, “I’m Y/N Strange. You are Stephen Strange, master of the mystic arts, and my father. And she’s Christine Strange, neurosurgeon, and my mother. Like you don’t know that.”
His eyes widen at the declaration and he looks to Christine who looks equally as mystified, “We’re married and have children here?”
Looking between the two, a look of understanding washes over Y/N’s face, “You’re from another universe aren’t you? That’s why you don’t know me. Well that’s depressing, I don’t exist? Are you two married at least?”
“We are from another universe, and no we aren’t married,” Christine answers her. “We used to date.”
“Used to?” Y/N raises an eyebrow, turning to give Stephen a scathing look. “Are you going to fix that?”
Stephen’s mouth opens and closes as he tries to come up with a reply to the smirk spreading across the girl’s face. “I- well I’m trying,” he finally grumbles out, his cheeks flushing pink.
“Is he?” She asks, her gaze going back to Christine. “Or is he doing the whole ‘I can’t be loved I have to protect you blah blah blah’ shit he did to my mom?”
Christine laughs, smiling and shaking her head, “There is no doubt who your father is. In the slightest. But yes, Stephen is trying.”
“Not the first time I’ve been told that,” she says with a proud smile. “Now are you guys coming in or what? Dad should be back soon if you need him.”
Y/N heads back toward the door with the two following her, stepping into a slightly different version of the New York Sanctum. “But I’m the second master of the Sanctum,” she announces proudly.
“Bullshit,” Stephen grins. “No way yet kid.”
“He’s known you five minutes and already knows you’re full of shit Y/N,” a familiar voice responds, an older version of Strange comes down the stairs and stops next to his daughter. “What have I told you about playing Sanctum defender?”
“To not to,” she rolls her eyes but leans in to hug her father. “But I will be one day.”
“You still need to decide what you even want to do,” he responds, putting an arm over her shoulder.
“I already said I’d do both, it’s decided dad.”
“Can you believe this kid?” Older Strange asks as he looks between Stephen and Christine. “She thinks she can be a neurosurgeon and a master of the Sanctum at the same time. Won’t listen to me that they’re both draining and take all your available time on their own.”
“Well I’m better than you and I’m gonna prove it,” Y/N smiles up sweetly at him as he rolls his eyes. “I’ll do both and be better at both. Because I’m going to be the best at both.”
“I now agree that she’s absolutely my child,” Stephen states as he shakes his head. “I mean ours. Yours. She’s Stephen Strange’s child.”
“That she is,” Strange responds and steps forward offering his hand to Stephen. “Multiversal mishap?”
Stephen shakes his hand, “Yeah, my somewhat adopted daughter makes multiverse portals, she had a slight mistake during training. Sucked us in, she’ll be here to get us relatively soon I’m sure.”
“Adopted daughter?” Y/N asks tilting her head. “So in your universe I’ll have a sister? What’s her name?”
“America. Her name is America,” he responds quickly, ignoring her first question as he glances over at Christine who gives him a soft smile.
“Oh I know that look,” Strange chuckles and looks toward Christine. “I’m not sure what he’s done or what he’s said, but the man genuinely loves you. We’re just all terrible at saying it. Don’t be too hard on him.”
“Hmm, he has a few things to make up for still, but I’ll keep that in mind,” she laughs and stands a little closer to her Stephen. “Where’s your Christine?”
“At work, medical director at Metro-General,” he says with a smile. “She worked very hard for it and has done an amazing job.”
“Is that where you two met?”
“It is, and I was a jackass like I’m guessing he was,” he nods toward Stephen.
“You think you’re nice now?” Y/N interrupts with a grin.
“Oh yeah compared to then. I was exactly like you,” he reaches over to mess up her hair as she protests. “Sometimes the apple doesn’t fall far enough from the tree.”
Y/N crosses her arms and huffs, “I have mom in me too. It’s impossible for me to be worse than you.”
“You’re right, my precious little girl is just the sweetest cutest little thing,” he says, raising the pitch of his voice to embarrass her and leaning over to press kisses all over her head as she struggles to get away from his grip.
“Save me!” Y/N shouts reaching out toward Stephen who wistfully shakes his head and watches them with a fondness as he feels a hand take his own.
Glancing down he sees Christine’s hand holding his, he gives it a comforting squeeze and looks up to her eyes with the same fondness.
As the father and daughter continue to bicker, a star-shaped portal rips apart the air, and America leans through it sheepishly, “Sorry…”
“It’s alright kid,” Stephen chuckles and smiles at her. “No harm done.”
“So you’re my sister from another universe?” Y/N asks walking closer to the portal and gesturing toward it. “Absolutely wicked by the way.”
“Thanks!” America perks up at the compliment. “You’re Stephen’s kid here?”
“Yep, and you’re his adopted kid there?”
“I guess I am,” she answers looking over at Stephen who sends her a wink.
“Well if you ever end up back here in our universe, look me up yeah?” Y/N says holding out her fist. “I’ve accepted you as my sister, we can hang out.”
America quickly fist bumps her, “I definitely will! We definitely need to hang out.”
“And cause chaos?” both Stephen’s say at the same time, shaking their heads at one another.
“No chaos, just bonding,” Y/N smirks before walking over to throws her arms around Stephen and Christine. “It was nice meeting young Mom and Dad, you two work all that stuff out alright? I wish to be born.”
“We’ll see how it goes,” Christine laughs and hugs her back. “You make a compelling argument.”
Giving a nod to his other self and daughter, Stephen heads toward the portal with Christine’s hand still in his own.
As the portal closes behind them and they stand in his Sanctum once again, Stephen turns toward her and tentatively takes her other hand, “Not exactly what I promised we’d be doing today… but was it a fun adventure?”
“The best actually,” she smirks and takes a step closer. “A nice glimpse of what the future could be.”
“A future you’d like?” he asks hopefully.
“A future I think I’d love,” she responds and places a hand on his chest. “Also a sneak peak of what you’ll look like in fifteen years was nice. Still handsome as ever.”
“Let me take you out to dinner, as a proper date?”
“I think I could do that,” her hand grips the fabric of his tunic and gently pulls his face closer to her own.
Leaning in closer to her, she gives him a slight nod and his lips press to hers.
“Gross,” America states walking past them, causing the two to break apart as they realize she’d still been standing there.
“I should head back and get ready. Pick me up at seven?” she asks, glancing down at her watch.
“I’ll be there.”

You watched as the dark-haired girl quickly backed into a corner, you could almost taste your long-deserved reward. "Please please please don't kill me, you don't have to do this!"
You grabbed her up by her jacket, the worn denim tearing slightly in your grip. "You're talking to the wrong higher power, kid. I'm fresh out of mercy."
"No!-"
---
"Please!"
The room was filled with the steady sounds of the headboard rocking into the wall as you went deeper into your wife, both of your moans mixing together.
Christine's eyes were screwed shut as you fucked her into the mattress and you reached a hand up to apply a bit of pressure to her neck, straddling the line between pleasure and pain. "Look at me Chrissy,"
It took her a second before she managed to open her eyes through her own haze. "There you go, I want you to watch me while I fuck you. Practically sucking me in,"
She let out a small mewl as you held your hand against her throat for a good minute before you brought it back to balance your stance on the bed. Christine's cries continued to get louder and more insistent as your strap on hit that familiar spongy spot inside of her.
"God I'm so close. Don't stop baby, please!"
You let out something between a grunt and a chuckle as you adjusted yourself on your palms. "Not even if you begged me,"
Leaning your head down, you brought one of Christine's pert nipples into your mouth. One of her hands left your back to push your head to stay there as you swirl your tongue around the nub, bringing one hand up briefly to play with her other breast. As you ground harder into her, she felt the tightening at the pit of her stomach as she came undone below you. Her third orgasm of the night.
You slowed to a languid pace as you released her nipple, letting her ride out her high. You move upward to leave feather light kisses across her face before Christine brings your lips together for a proper kiss.
Pulling away, there was a smirk resting on your face. "Now, aren't you glad I got our windows soundproofed? I know our neighbors must be,"
Wiping her steely blue eyes that had begun to water slightly, Christine lightly hit your shoulder with a small giggle and a breathless 'shut up' as you proceeded to slowly slide the toy out of her. The two of you settled into a makeout, only pulling away long enough for you to use your magic to unfasten the strap and have it tossed to the side to deal with later. Cuddled up to each other, you basked in the content feeling that was shared between you.
Then you felt that familiar tingling pain.
Your hand moved to your right cheek on instinct to try and alleviate the sensation to no avail. Christine noticed this and brought her own hand up to rest on the cheekbone that was smoother than the rest of your face, her fingers carefully running over the indentations left behind.
Her blue eyes glinted with concern, "It's happening again? This late?"
You inhaled briefly before sitting up in your shared bed. "Well, I forgot to finish up before we got settled in," Leaning over, you leave a quick peck on her lips to help satiate her. "Got kinda busy,"
She playfully pushed the good side of your face backward, "Well now that you're not busy, you can handle it hmm?"
Lightly huffing, you relented and pushed the covers off completely. Christine watched as you swept your legs over the side of the bed before making your way to the connected restroom, only closing the door slightly to obscure her view as you rested your palms on the sink counter with your head full of thoughts cycling around.
You clear your throat as you grab the jar you came in for, closing the medicine cabinet to meet your reflection in the mirror. Your eyes narrowed at the noticeably lighter portion of your face, then trailing up to the streak of stark white in your hair. It had yet to go away and stood out like a sore thumb as it ran along your temple to the back of your head.
You rubbed the prescribed cream on your cheek like Christine told you to. Even if you knew it was never going away.
It’d always be there as a reminder. To never forget. No specially made development was fixing it, and you knew that.
It was a freak accident at the Baxter Building after Reed and Ben had gone home. A mishap while burning the midnight oil on an independent project.
That’s all anyone would know.

Wanda made quick work of the monks on the front lines before stepping into the temple of Kamar Taj. You'd seen it take place from afar, not wanting to get involved. The only reason you were here was because you're forced to listen to Stephen's orders as the Sorcerer Supreme. Personally? You'd cut your losses with the random child and go about your business, but no one seemed to share your sentiment.
Wong had gone to hide the girl as you were left with Stephen to fend off Wanda, her eventually getting the upper hand. It was then that you'd finally heard her deal to you.
"I'm not a monster Y/n, and you know that. I just want my boys. They're out there, just like your Christine. A world where you are happy. Happy with her."
You felt the familiar weight in your pocket as you heard her name.
She's out there for you.
As you thought about what she just said, Wanda used her whisps to incapacitate Stephen as his powers were sieved away. She focused on you again, but she knew that she didn't need force.
"I can take you to that world, Y/n. To your happy ending. I'll give you my word. I just need the girl."
You slowly nodded at the proposal. You knew America could traverse the multiverse at will, and with Wanda having access to that ability it was certainly possible. To finally be free of your hapless life without aim, to be with your love as you should have been.
“That's what you want Y/n?! To live a lie?! To force your way into Christine's life in some fantasy gone by?!”
“Is it really a lie if you wholeheartedly believe it? If it was supposed to happen anyhow?” Wanda was the devil on your shoulder as you stared at a restrained Stephen. You could begin anew with one action.
You were the last line of defense standing between Wanda and this America Chavez girl, who was foolishly idle under the temple of Kamar Taj. Stephen had brought her here, a problem unto herself until you and everyone else were roped into it. And really, what was stopping you from ending this farce now?
“You are better than this, Y/n! America is a child!”
Oh. That’s what.
Your stare was carefully kept blank as you mulled things over. You had nothing left to lose, quite literally. Immediate family already gone or died while you were blipped…
Your eyes flitted to the ring on Stephen’s finger, practically mocking you.
Nothing left to lose.
“But you know what you stand to gain Y/n,”
Wanda was a friend. You’d gone to each other for solace and comfort as you’d both lost everyone. She understood you. You’d both been made to watch as the world seemed to move on while you were left to play five years' worth of catch up.
With this chance? You could be on time.
You could have her back.
Your hand subconsciously stroked the broken face of your pocket watch over the fabric of your left pocket.
“Y/n listen to me, Wanda is in your head! You can’t let her win and get to America-”
“You keep saying that, but what’s that child supposed to mean to me?!”
You watched him sputter for a second as he was set off kilter by your pushback. He always had to have the the last fucking word.
"Wanda's not in my head Stephen! And nothing she's said has been a lie either! I still don't see how this involves you or anyone else,"
“Wanda will have unlimited access to the multiverse, which cannot under any circumstances be left in her hands!”
Wanda crept up to your side. She’d been largely quiet as she patiently watched you make your decision. Whether Stephen acknowledged it or not, Wanda knew you were on the same page as her.
Her lips came up to your ear, “Was the time stone in the right hands when he stole it from you and gave it to Thanos?”
You were sent back into memories you'd revisited time and time again, and they remained clear as day.
Dusted, just hoping and praying that Christine was home safe. Floating away, as you watched Tony hold Peter in his arms. Coming back in what felt like mere seconds, an aged Stephen hastily guiding you to a portal to fight a fight that you quite frankly didn’t want to be a part of anymore. Getting home, finding a place you could no longer recognize; framed pictures of your Christine with him. How she so easily let your memory go by the wayside. Somehow, they'd figured it out. You wound up alone.
It was a world where you were no longer welcome.
A world where you were out of step.
You could have it all back, Wanda said. Wanda promised. And really…
That’s all you want.
If it takes the life of a girl you barely knew and a man that’s been nothing but a residual thorn in the side of your existence?
So be it.
You have a way to finally be happy with the one you love and leave it to Doctor Stephen Strange to involve himself and actively deny you from his moral high ground while he lives what should have been your life. The whole unending story of it really.
It's insulting.
Wong had always said that your apathy would be your downfall, but today it would be your key to life anew. Where you can be content to live and not just go through the motions.
To hell with Stephen Strange.
You took quiet steps toward Stephen as he gazed up at you with a pleading look. Getting ready to put an end to him, the sorcerer quickly managed to conjure one last snake, shooting out a pestilent spray. Yelping as it coats part of your face, you feel a burning pain encompassing the right side of your face to your forehead with the skin beginning to erode and the coated hair losing pigment at the root.
Before Stephen could manage to break free, Wanda reinforced the restraints before you surged forward, grabbing his head and unceremoniously snapping his neck.
Stephen’s body fell limp as you went to work fixing the damage done to your face, but it could only go so far. You looked to Wanda with a smirk, the distinct scar still thrumming in pain.
“Let’s get the mouse hiding in the basement, shall we?”

'Always had to have the last goddamn word, Strange.'
You took a deep breath before you finished washing your hands clean, leaving the restroom to join your wife in your shared bed. Her deep red hair falling over her shoulders in a tousled mess as she sipped on a glass of water from the nightstand. Christine’s eyes shifted from the tv, that had begun lowly playing a random movie, to look up at you.
“You ready for bed?”
You kept a small smile on your face as you got under the covers with her as she set her glass down and scooted closer to you. You wrapped an arm around her naked waist as you looked up at the ceiling, mind still buzzing.
“Christine,” You could feel her look up at you. It was almost always “Chrissy” or “Chris”.
“Yes, love?”
You tilted your head to look her in the eye.
“Are you happy?”
Her eyebrows furrowed for a second. “Of course I am. I have you,”
She placed a lingering kiss on your scarred cheek.
“Are you happy, Y/n?”
You moved a loose strand of hair from her face before bringing her into a deep kiss of your own, passion effortlessly leaking into it. Pulling away, you take a moment to just look at her.
“Every day I’m with you.”
And those days would never run out now that you finally have her. With her, your life finally fell back in step.
