Pelton/Mrs Headwood. The time frames just don't work for them to develop a meaningful relationship. Respect to the late Mr Headwood but how cute would it be if we could pair up the ethical and unethical doctors.

Regrettably, Mel/Ben. I absolutely despise the pairing in the show, the writing is… meh. The chemistry… meh. The acting… Anyway there are some really fabulous writers in this fandom who have really opened this pairing up for me and made it something truly sweet and romantic. Sometimes it's nice to just have that established relationship, you know? Nobody come at me for my shit take on these two, please.

I'm not sure what a dark ship is supposed to be but I'm guessing I could fit Mel/Wilford under it. Whilst @onetrainscifi makes a compelling argument for them having been married, I definitely prefer to see them as having been an abusive/inappropriate/violent pairing. There's history there but it's not pretty.

And I wanted to add Ruth/Lilah to this one too. Never been able to shake the notion that Lilah flirts with Ruth and Melanie, but it's so, so predatory. I just love to see my blorbos get hurt and I played with this a little bit in last year's Kinktober (lmao can't believe it's about to be October again and I never finished it. Life happens I guess).

It's Movie Night on Big Alice and Snowpiercer!!!! Unfortunately, since the trains are still at war the movies will be shown at the same time--and you can only pick one! So, which movie will you be attending...

AND which of your Snowpiercer Faves will you invite to go with you? Who will you sit with? Will you have popcorn or bug bars? Will you dress up or not? Who do you trust to do your hair or makeup? Do you have to continually shush your companions--or are you the one talking during the film? And finally, on the off chance you shed some tears--which of your Snowpiercer friend's shoulders will you lean on??

Of the two I've gotta pick Oppenheimer because I have zero desire to see Barbie. Unfortunately that does mean going to Wilford's war room. I invite Melanie (she does not want to go to the war room), Ruth (she does not want to watch such a depressing film), Ben (is banned), Javi (is scared). Dr Pelton agrees to come with me and watch because she can think of "nothing worse than all that pink". There is no popcorn to be had and neither of us dare try the snacks that keep being offered our way that look suspiciously bug like. We both make a small effort with our appearance, Pelton wearing a neat v neck jumper and smart trousers, whilst I opt for a shirt which I've gone to the trouble of ironing for once. Neither of us cares for make up but we trade hair products to both look reasonably neat since we are guests. I go to ask a few questions during the film but a raised eyebrow from Pelton stops me before I can form the words and I sit in silence for the rest of it. When I become a little emotional the good doctor pats me kindly on the leg.
