❛ you can’t make me disappear. ❜ from tenma!
Tumblr media
“Is that what you believe Doctor?” Johan spoke with a genteel, feather light whisper, an ugly little grin hidden from behind the edges of his teacup. The blond reveled in how the air shifted once his presence had been known, the tension building upon gravity.
Casually, he took a sip of the herbal liquid, closing his eyes carelessly as if the man across from him was not staring at him with such a hostile expression. He leaned back in his chair, comfortable and relaxed before he continued, “I wouldn’t be so bold as to say that I ‘couldn’t’ Dr. Tenma.” Once again his crystal blues rested upon the other’s form, gentle but sharp as he finally pulled the cup away from his mouth when he said,
“But rather, that I wouldn’t, instead” The cup was placed back on its tiny plate; the sound of porcelain banging against porcelain filled the silence brewing between them.  “After all, you’re well aware of how proficient I am in my ‘work’” He teased, a devious grin curving upon his pale pink lips as he continued his playful banter.
Tumblr media
“You haven’t touched your tea Doctor; you really should enjoy it while it’s hot.”

Ah yes the interpersonal drama within the council of Evelow. I've talked about and drawn them a few times here, but idk, I wanted to talk about the specific dynamics a bit more.
Some explanation
Atlas, Kenzo, Crystal, and Candace did know each other for a long time, as many old money families do. Things get more complicated when you're given a chair in the council, but to be fair, Atlas and Crystal weren't ever *that* close. Casual rivals means they don't try to remove each other's chairs, they're just haters.
Crystal Camryn and Kenzo Yamazaki had always been really close allies, but with "recent" story events, they do go through hardship. It's once Crystal dies that Atlas Vespira (aka the Vespira House) sweeps in to try to be the next close ally to the Yamazakis.
Esther actually gets along with all of them, after all, she's the empress, so it makes sense for her to surround herself with people she trusts. However, the only reason I've pointed out her allyship with Dr. Cloud Ellocast is that the doctor was the only new councilman she appointed when she became empress. This was a controversial, because as you can see-
Not many people approve of Dr. Cloud Ellocast being on the council. They're a very renowned figure of Evelow, but never one that ever held political power, and critics speculated they will use their position as councilman to funnel more money into their "mysterious gene project"
Dr. Rajan Tandon is a professional ally to Dr. Cloud due to his late father being heavily involved with Dr. Ellocast's research. Atlas Vespira is a professional ally to both because he was a top donor to the project. He's supportive of Dr. Cloud being appointed as a councilman, but the others can't say the same.
Atlas Vespira and Candace Hadler were once in an arranged marriage and did genuinely love each other, hence the unique "ex-lovers" connection. I talk about it in this additional text. (yes it's the same post I linked earlier but this version has more text !)
Some of this drama does reflect in how their families view each other, but it isn't entirely representative.

Kinesiology Tape: The Future of Pain Management and Sports Medicine
In the world of sports medicine and pain management, innovation is the driving force that continually shapes the future of care. Among the revolutionary advancements, kinesiology tape has emerged, offering a versatile and non-invasive solution to pain relief and enhanced performance. Kinesiology tape, often brightly colored and flexible, has come a long way since its inception. Initially developed by Japanese chiropractor Dr. Kenzo Kase in the 1970s, this tape was designed to mimic the elasticity of human skin. Its major purpose was to provide support for injured muscles and joints while allowing a full range of motion. Over time, it has evolved into a multifunctional tool that expands its benefits to both athletes and patients seeking relief from a wide array of conditions.
The Future of Pain Management and Sports Medicine
Pain Management
Kinesiology tape is well-known for its ability to relieve pain, reduce swelling and inflammation, and provide support to joints and muscles. By lifting the skin and creating space for improved blood flow and lymphatic drainage, it can reduce discomfort from various sources, including muscle strains, joint issues, and chronic conditions. This innovative approach to pain management has the potential to minimize the use of traditional pain medications.
Injury Prevention
Athletes and other physically active individuals have adopted kinesiology tape for its injury prevention properties. Kinesiology tape has unique elastic properties. Buy Kinesiology Tape Online in Muscat, Oman, provides support to muscles and joints during physical exercise, reducing the risk of strains and sprains. This preventive aspect has the potential to reduce downtime for athletes and enhance their overall performance.
Enhanced Performance
Kinesiology tape improves the activation of the muscles by improving the interaction between the skin and underlying tissues. Kinesiology tape is not just about pain relief; it can also boost athletic performance. By facilitating better biomechanics and muscle activation, it enables athletes to reach their full potential. The tape’s role in improving muscle recruitment and posture has vast implications for sports professionals.
Non-Invasive Alternative
One of the most remarkable features of kinesiology tape is its non-invasive nature. Unlike traditional medical interventions, it does not require incisions, injections, or medication. This makes it an attractive option for those seeking pain reliefs without the side effects or recovery times associated with surgery or pharmaceuticals. After surgery, patients often face a long time to recovery. Kinesiology tape can aid in post-surgical rehabilitation by providing targeted support to weakened or injured areas. It helps patients regain their mobility and strength more rapidly.
The Future of Customization and Research
As kinesiology tape becomes more widely used in healthcare, we can anticipate greater customization. Tapes are now available in a range of colors, patterns, and precut shapes, catering to individual needs and preferences. Healthsouq commitment to delivering a wide range of Sports and Fitness Products Online in Muscat, Oman, signifies a significant step forward in catering to the needs of sports teams and fitness enthusiasts. Additionally, ongoing research is revealing new applications and techniques for kinesiology tape, expanding its potential in areas such as pain management, neurological rehabilitation, and even mental health support.

Monster
Tumblr media

20Th Century Boys, Monster, Pluto, Yawara…

One of my headcanons for Tenma is him buying medical journals and magazines during the time he was on the run. Because there is no way you can ignore the news and the new changes and updates in a field of science when that field of science is your specialty, and your job, and your passion, and a huge part of your identity. And doctors need to keep up with the updates and the new information and the new discoveries in their field because that will determine the quality of their work and consequently will impact their patients’ health.
So I’d like to think that Tenma couldn’t help himself, and although he was on the run, he was always on the lookout for that neurosurgery biannual magazine! and tried not to miss it. He would put it in his duffle bag after buying it and would make sure to at least browse it whenever he got a chance, maybe in one of those cheap motel rooms late at nights when the world was asleep and quiet.
Tumblr media
Talking of Tenma’s duffle bag, the first time I watched the show, I thought how precious it was the way he carried medical supplies with him. I mean, here he is on the run, with nothing to his name but his clothes, yet he has made sure to take some medical supplies and first aid stuff with him. I remember I was watching episode 11, when he saw Dieter, stopped him and opened his duffle bag to help the child with his injured arm, and I smiled to myself, thinking: he can’t help it, can he? He can’t stop being compassionate and a healer.
And I don’t think he carried those medical supplies only thinking of himself and of the times that accidents might happen and he himself might need medical care. From what we see of him and of his attitude towards people and towards healing as well as the way he helped many people along the way - from good people to criminals and enemies - with their illnesses or their injuries, I am sure he put the medical supplies in his bag with the thought of “I’d better take these with me. Maybe someone will need my help”, which is exactly what happened several times.
