so, when you’ve joined them for a short weekend schedule in japan, no one questions it when soobin meanders over to your hotel room after everyone is all settled in and getting ready for bed. eh, he’s just gonna go veg out there for a bit cuz he’s bored while she rambles about random stuff. classic soobin and y/n. they are wrong

you had just settled into bed when soobin slips into your room with the spare key card you had tucked into his pocket earlier, and you’re shuffling around and getting comfy when you hear the door open and close. you two hadn’t made a plan to mess around tonight, but you aren’t surprised, as it isn’t unusual for soobin to still seek you out for cuddles while he talks about his day.

you don’t even have to say anything as he slides into bed behind you, instantly wrapping an arm around your waist and nuzzling his face into the nape of your neck with a sigh.

“needed a break from beomgyu’s pororo impressions,” he mumbles, and you snort at the thought. “how does he still have so much energy right now…?” you murmur back, sleep lacing the edges of your voice.

“i still think i’m right about him being an animatronic bot who reaches peak terror at night.”

the two of you giggle at soobin’s joke before falling into a comfortable silence, broken intermittently by comments about your day, about their schedule tomorrow, about the anime-themed shopping center you guys plan to sneak off to with kai afterwards.

with another sigh from soobin, this one more of contentment than exhaustion, he’s soon nestling further into you, your eyes slipping shut in sleepy bliss at the warmth of his body pressed to yours.

that is, until you begin to feel small kisses being placed softly along your shoulder.

“soobin,” you warn half-heartedly.

“‘m not doing anything,” he complains back quietly in an equally half-hearted mumble, as he continues clearly doing something.

you’re so tired, but you can’t deny the tingles that run through your body whenever soobin touches you, and tonight is no exception as you wordlessly turn your head to look over your shoulder at him, his features coming into focus in the near-darkness of the room as he pauses to gaze at you in turn.

his blonde hair all tousled from the pillows, the sharp line of his jaw, his soft shining eyes — and his lips that you can never seem to resist for very long.

case in point. it’s only a few passing moments before those lips are on yours in a deep kiss, languid and slow, his hand gently holding your chin that’s still angled back towards him, your own hand reaching behind to caress the back of his neck — and then he’s shifting backwards to turn you over fully, your back now against the sheets as he positions himself half over you, his tongue moving lazily with yours, warm and wet and tasting of him as he comfortably rests his weight on you.

you make out like that for a while, his wandering right hand leisurely squeezing and kneading your tits beneath your shirt, his lips occasionally finding themselves trailing down your neck, but always coming back up to find yours.

i can picture how needy he’d start to get, subtle at first in the way he’d shift his hips, in the way his breath would quicken — and then it would be obvious from the moans that escape him as his kisses grow heavier, more insistent.

“need you..” he’d groan breathlessly through his kisses, attempting to shove his sweatpants down with his free hand as his lips stay latched onto yours, too desperate and impatient to sit up properly and use both hands.

“someone might come looking for you,” but you’re tugging his pants and boxers down his hips for him anyway and his lips are on your neck as he pushes your panties aside.

“let them look.”

soobin wasting no time rocking into you with deep, needy strokes, his face buried in your neck while your arms wrap around his shoulders, clutching onto him as his hips press you further into the mattress the more desperate he gets.

his hands are all over you, squeezing and caressing anywhere they can touch, and closer just isn’t enough as he holds you against him with breathy moans and grinding hips until you’re both cumming, his stuttered groan the giveaway before his final thrust is filling you up and your own climax washes over you like a wave. you can feel each other’s hearts beating as he stays there rested on top of your chest.

your best friend eventually lifting himself to hover over you in the dark, his warm breath fanning over your lips as you push the damp hair from his forehead, hand sliding down to caress his cheek, his jaw, thumb ghosting across his parted lips as he twitches inside of you — you bite back a smile.

this time, when he kisses you.. you don’t know it yet, but this time, it’s different.

soobin isn’t exactly sure why he can feel heat rising to his cheeks or a little somersault in his chest, but he’s glad that it’s too dark for you to notice the redness in his face when he asks,

“can i stay here tonight?”

Duke Thomas was adopted by Jason and while not technically joining the family's nightlife, Signal could always be found while the sun was up

Gotham's bones broke, organs failed, and flesh was bitten off

Gotham has never been better since Batman or even The Second Robin died

Do other groups learn by themselves? Does this knowledge come into the hands of people who would spread it?

Either way, the Batclan is going to have to confront that it's known they let Batman die

Is the knowledge it used maliciously, is the accuser wanting answers, or is it a mix of both

Gosh, what will Alfred think if he learns? I imagine that even if he enabled Bruce's abuse they kept him around, stick close enemies and friends after all

(me thinks personally that Joker is throwing a fit with his nemesis dead, and he may not even be able to abuse the fact his own kids killed him cuz it was a child abuser who was killed by his abused)

(but I'd love to see your take on Joker's pov when he only knows Batman is dead and if he learns his kids left him for dead and if he learns they were abused by him and that's why they let him die)

Now I'm wondering what would happen if it got leaked to the public that the Batfamily knew Batman could've been saved but did nothing about it. There could be so many different reactions from different groups

Crime Alley people, criminals, people outside Gotham, Gothamites themselves, and Bludhaven residents would have different takes collectively methinks

Fucking hell, that isn't even accounting for all the fuckery you could do w/ Bruce Wayne = Batman and I'm not talking about an post-mortem identity reveal, I'm talking identity shenanigans

Like say the bats knowing they could have saved Bruce but left him for dead and somebody/some group learns this and leaks it

And then Jason steps in to say "you know the FUCK what? We knew our old man could have been saved and since he was shit we voted/agreed to let him die!!" And all hell breaks loose

Inspired by that ask on Jason calling for a family meeting after learning Bruce is stuck in the timestream to figure out what to do from there

+ the one post where Dick tries and fails to get Tim to give up on Bruce so he doesn't embark on BruceQuest and Bruce dies in the Timestream

w/ Cassandra in particular, it'd be fun to explore her psyche in the Vote branch, if she votes to let Bruce die or not considering her "No Kill" stance

Heck, with both branches they alone bring so much fun to the table, even without the flavor of The Reveal

Agreement: You get the explore a world where all the bat kids + Barbara want Bruce dead, by why is it? You get to see all their reasons for it, and how their reasonings may mesh or clash and how they come to make their decisions!

Majority Vote: You get to see the conflicts between those who want him back and want him dead + what they do and think knowing who voted for what then onwards

Bonus if a batsibling or two start of wanting Bruce back but then decide they want him gone, or the reverse, or they flip flop again and again until they make their choice

Either branch I think would overhaul the Batfamily's relationships w/ each other in a major way and not just because someone has to take Bruce's spot as the family head or whatever, but because they chose/voted for said Patriarch to die

I love this idea, and I'm totally up for breaking it down.

If it's not an agreement, then it's likely that the ones who disagree will try to save Bruce regardless of what everyone else wants

This will turn into an all-out war as those who want Bruce dead try to prevent the others from succeeding. It would be like a weird version of capture the flag, clue, and escape the room. The save-Bruce team (whether out of love or duty) would need to gather all the evidence that Tim did while fending off attacks and working against the clock (there comes a point in time that it's too late to save Bruce).

Even if they all agree, it's still complicated feelings wise.

Bruce is an abusive piece of shit (especially in this AU), but it's hard to not love your abuser. The cycle of abuse is difficult to break out of. I think Dick and Jason would be at the point they are more apathetic to Bruce's care/love. They are adults who don't rely on him. They might still love Bruce, but it's easier for them to put a defense against the man emotionally to the point of condoning his murder.

Babs and Steph aren't his kids, so, while their feelings aren't black and white, it's easier to distance themselves from Bruce.

Canonically, I think Tim recently got adopted by Bruce. This makes it harder for him to outright reject Bruce. When given evidence (and shown what Bruce did to his other family members), Tim might come to the conclusion that it's better off without Bruce.

Damian is a child who just got to meet his dad. I doubt he'd be on board with this plan nor, with his hero worship, would he be able to find faults in him. He simply hasn't spent enough time with Bruce (and lots of angst to be explored there. Basically, his "siblings" that he's just met are telling him it's better for him if their dad is dead).

Cass loves Bruce. She trusts his mission, what he's supposed to stand for, and that he does love his kids (she can see that he truly does love everyone). At the same time, he hurts her siblings. She doesn't agree with leaving Bruce to die, but her feelings are complicated on the matter.

How the batkids feel about Alfred is similar (although not categorically per a kid) as they feel about Bruce

If they've reached the point where they have acknowledged that Alfred will never be on their side nor protect them, they still love that old man. They want him to be around, they would be sad at his death, but they know Alfred could and has hurt them. They know Alfred would choose Bruce over them.

The JL find out Bruce isn't actually dead with the Black Lantern battle thing.

Theoretically, other heroes can then start trying to save Bruce. Without canon Tim's information, though, they might not be able to. Bonus points to this batfam au if Oracle and others actively sabotage their efforts.

Gordon would be presented with all the evidence that Batman was an abusive piece of shit.

The Commissioner would try to bury any feelings of grief out of guilt for what he's unknowingly allowed his ex friend to get away with. If he knew that Batman was the same boy he threw a jacket over at the scene of that kid's parents' murder, he would sit at his desk with a bottle of scotch and a lit cigarette trying to figure out where it all went wrong. Jim would blame himself, curse Batman, and, as he curses himself for always allowing, do not a damn thing against what the masked vigilantes tell him to do.

Crime Alley and Bludhaven respectively probably would either not give a fuck, say "good riddance," or whistle at the fact the Bat's own kids refused to save him.

Gothamites know their vigilantes. If the batkids had refused to help Batman, than they trust the kids. There's nothing out there that would turn a man's entire family against him besides the man himself. By the end of the week, all Batman related stuff is burnt and replaced by the many symbols of the birds.

Anyone outside of Gotham (besides Bludhaven) will criticize the batkids. Gotham becomes fiercely protective over their birds after that and will fist fight anyone who tries to talk shit about them or their decision.

Fuck Joker, but here's how I think he felt about it.

Man definitely lost his shit in a fit of giggles. It seems (though Joker is slightly disappointed he wasn't part of the final showdown) that Batman was dragged down to the level of madness he swore he'd never go to. If Batman's kids turned against him, oh that must mean that the furry freak truly did horrendous actions against them!

That clown spends several weeks coming up with twisted fantasies and theories to ask out of the Birds to tease out their reactions for when he next sees them. He wants to know exactly how the Dark Knight fell and what was so dastardly to turn children against their father.

After he solves that mystery? Dealer's choice. He doesn't quite get as much joy without Batman around. He can play around with Red Hood and Red Robin specifically (if JJ happened), but nobody is the Dark Knight.

Maybe his melancholy turns into rage where he starts seriously gunning for all the Birds for not returning Batman to him. That, or Joker kills himself cause his nemesis/obsession is gone. Both are likely responses.

Anyways, I also love the positive notes you had that I didn't address. The hopefulness of them doing better for Gotham and Jason adopting Duke is fantastic. I'd love more of that as well as everything else

In a few more words, I think the question fails to properly interrogate what I mean when I refer to evil. 'Evil' is a component of a moral framework, and I feel that moral frameworks are by and large shallow and not very useful in furthering for understandings of the world around us, or very conducive to creating material change, from an individual scale to a societal scale.

The central idea I put forward in that post is that it is not some grand moral badness that enables violence and abuse, but rather systems of power. All of your examples speak to this. You mention the wealthy, political leaders, a state backed by a global superpower, and a group that was comprised of people with systemic power over their victims.

Viewing them merely as "evil" is frankly uncurious and in some ways, cyclical and thought terminating. It begs the question: "they're bad because they're bad because they're bad."

We have NO disagreement in the fact that what those people do or did have produced violence and harm, many on a scale which is difficult to fully comprehend the magnitude of. It is equally difficult to understand even how one could act with such cruelty towards fellow human beings. But just because it is difficult to understand does not mean it is impossible. They didn't do those things because they were born with some kind of evil gene or soul.

They, like you and I, were created by the context of the world around them. If Adolf Hitler died as a child, would Germany have been rid of its antisemitism or have lost its imperial ambitions? Would war have been averted? Certainly not. There were specific, relatively measurable conditions which allowed fascism to flower. If not him, someone else would have helmed that movement.

If Adolf Hitler were born in another place and time, he would not be Adolf Hitler in any meaningful sense. A person is more or less a sum of their environment. People cannot exist outside the context that they do in fact exist in.

And so to then declare someone as 'evil' amounts to saying just about nothing. It's zero sum. If people do harm simply because they are evil, then what can be done? Create a list of them and then systematically exterminate them?

Many people have twisted my words and claimed that what I am saying is that we should expose our bellies and allow bigots to gut us, or that I equivocate violence against oppressors and violence against the oppressed. This is categorically untrue. When violence is brought against you, violent response can be prudent.

But what happens after the relations of power have been altered? When the abuser or oppressor no longer has the power to harm you? Is there reason to harm them besides to punish or sate a desire for revenge? If they no longer have the means to do 'evil,' then what purpose does violence against them serve besides for the sake of our own bloodlust?

You will not see me shed a tear for Israeli settlers killed by opposition forces, or for abusers killed by a victim defending themself because those relations of power are still in place. Settlers can leave, soldiers can dodge the draft, and abusers can stop abusing.

But if they settle, kill, and abuse because they are 'evil,' then what choice did they have to begin with? And what can be done to stop colonialism, state violence, and abuse in the future? Are evil people just going to stop being born?

The framework of evil adds nothing, gives no solutions, and hinders progress by giving us amnesty for not looking at our own relationship to power structures. But a materialist, analytical framework provides us tools to deconstruct those structures and hopefully move beyond them.

Anime only watchers and people who aren't caught up with the Manga, BEWARE... Cuz I'm about to discuss Spy X Family Mission 98... You have been warned...! 👌

[SPOILERS AHEAD FROM THIS POINT ON]

This chapter literally broke me in more ways than one...

This chapter is a continuation of Martha and Henderson's backstory from Mission 97, so let's talk about it shall we...?

So when I opened this chapter and saw a radio...:

...I literally got PTSD from seeing it because it immediately made me think of the first part of Mission 62, Twilight's (or rather [REDACTED]'s) past, so I knew that things were about to take a turn for the worst...! 😔

On the same page, Martha asks Henderson what he's doing here and he tells her that there's a personnel shortage, so he got to graduate early. Then, Henderson turns off the radio and says this:

This is just... It's so sad, but true that things, like radios, that were once made for helping others can easily be used to spread hatred and cause harm... It's just not right... 😞

Moving on, after being separated for so long, Martha and Henderson were able to have another tea party like they used to have, but it wasn't long before things started to take a turn... During a school safety drill, Martha asks Henderson if he's excused from being drafted, and he tells her...:

"It may be that even education is powerless now."... 😟

Hearing Henderson say that hurts my soul... But nothing could prepare me for the next few pages...

Why... Why do things like this have to happen... 😣

No, things like this SHOULDN'T happen...! Innocent people dying because of senseless violence, because of war, it's just not right nor is it fair...! And I will always stand by that...!!

Continuing on, Henderson finds out that Martha is volunteering for The Women's Defense Auxiliary and he's upset by this. She tells him that the ballet company she was a part of is going to disband and her dream will go with it, so he scolds her again and she tells him this:

My heart hurts just seeing the anguish in face and in her words...!! 💔

And the heart break continues because Martha overhears that Henderson is going to be married off and she is devastated... But while in tears, she overhears that the dance is coming again, so this is her last chance to tell him how she feels...!

At the dance, Martha approaches Henderson:

Martha looks so cute here...!! 💗 I was so excited to see them dance together, that when I turned the page, something unexpected happened... I started to cry...:

Seeing them happy, even though just for this moment, it reminded me why I love Spy X Family so much... It's for these moments, the moments that most of S×F's cast is fighting for, the moments that we all should strive for...!! There are just so many bad things going on in the world that it makes wish that moments like these could be the norm for all instead of some...!! I just don't understand why must there be so much hatred and malice in the world... Why can't we all live in peace instead of conflict...

Gosh, I'm even crying now just writing all of that... I should probably start to wrap this up...!

So, just as Martha is about to confess to Henderson, this happens...:

Anyway I think a lot of you guys don’t know how grooming works in the real world but also just in general and it becomes really clear when ppl say that you can use a specific piece of problematic media to groom kids cuz while there is an interesting conversation to be had about how media can glorify negative things in society and wether that glorification starts at the media itself or is just a side effect of it already existing in society and all that stuff-

grooming mostly has to do with like. Being nice to the person you’re grooming. Paying attention to the things they like, treating them like they aren’t stupid, like they’re worth listening to, at least at first. getting them used to lying for you, getting them used to keeping secrets or something like that. Maybe if you’re in a position of power it’s not even about being nice so much as using your power to erode boundaries and get them used to letting you do whatever you want cuz they're in charge.

You can groom someone using literally anything. It doesn’t even need to be expensive or time consuming. Desperate kids will take whatever they can get. Me personally, in high school I’d have fallen head over heels for someone who would get me the food I liked without being a dick about how picky I was. And it wouldn’t even have to be expensive, they could literally bring me A Granola Bar every day and I’d be like omg they remembered me… I will die for this person.

And like I knew that back then but I was still desperate!! So desperate I was like yknow what I’d roll those odds.

like a lot of real world experiences of grooming have nothing to do with media at all, and if they do then that's on the person doing the grooming cuz they came at that media with the intent to use it to hurt someone :/ and if it wasn't that media it'd be some other piece of media, you can try to eliminate Bad Media all you want, but someone can groom someone else with the most innocuous shit possible like. media is not the big factor here !! a lack of support systems and checks and balances are way more important !!

Have a cup of whimsy once in a while is all I say to that.

If I had to pick 2 things I gripe with it very rarely those would be the names and the way the animation does my boys' faces so dirty at times.

They literally look like they're in agony in some still frames so be prepared for the plot, the ✨DRAMAAA✨ and character interactions to do some heavy lifting at times. Settings though are drop dead gorgeous with the most immersive atmospheric feel to them, everywhere is so washed and somber like I'd expect a vampire world to be, no shade to Case study of Vanitas, execution is key and both shows are nailing their moods for me.

Now for the names...tf name's their child Dali Delico??? Sounds like some Italian deserted I'd eat without hesitation.

I don't have much to say rn without spoiling cuz this show is definitely something you should watch for yourself, unlike buddy Daddies though, I know it won't be for everyone, especially the animation. It seems like it's an anime original, or adapted from a stage play (I might be thinking of another show don't sue me) cuz I couldn't find a manga on my sites, so yeah if things don't end this season, our chances of getting more hang in the balance.

The opening is a bop though so stay every episode for that and the cute kids if nothing else interests you.

I RECENTLY FINISHED MY BHAAL'S CHOSEN ENDING

Y'know, the absolute ending is the first one I saw in my original non-durge playthrough, because I quicksaved before the final choice out of curiosity. My character was always going to end up a villain in some way.

Except, the original ''absolute'' ending sucked ass? It was a Evangelion ''everyone claps'' ending. You'd enthrall everyone, sit down, say the words and everyone claps. Credits roll. Game is finished- It didn't feel that satisfying tbh.

Now I did the ''in the name of bhaal'' ending recently, and the cinematic changes are definitely appreciated. Your companions looking around as if they're happy with what you just did rather than clap with yellow glowing eyes.

I do like the idea of Astarion not being enthralled here, both of them walking into an uncertain future as Durge Loki is set on fullfilling daddy's wishes of ending the world no matter what. (The cinematic is a tiny bit longer and much cooler tbh.)

Perhaps a part of him hopes Astarion kills him as they sit at the seat as the absolute together, but he hesitates and doesn't end up going through with it. (More in the vein of, I thought ruling the world together would be more fun, rather than watching it burn below us while you suffer under your father's hold.) Bhaal refuses to let Loki rest or enjoy things beyond murder and destruction until all but he and Astarion are left. Centuries after the deed is done, they'll watch the stars of that universe collapse together before their death, spending decades in each others arms with no Bhaal, no foes, gods, heroes, or anything else to bother them.

''My sole endeavor now is making this world yours and mine alone.''

But turned up to a 1000..

Nah, angst is good but I prefer villains with some cozy domestic enjoying life side dish. I like a manor more than an empty post-apocalyptic world.

And this is why Locke/Loki is not canonically a durge, he has his own entire story and origin quest- most of which I drafted before I knew anything about durge or bhaalspawn. So when you eventually read more of his lore as it pops up in the comic, do know any similarities to durge are purely coincidental. I knew NOTHING about it cuz I worked on Loki's story while playing EA, finishing and altering the draft during my first full release playthrough way before any spoilers were posted online or epilogue was added. I explicitly avoided browsing social media and tags while playing the game.

My first playthrough as durge came much later, and I ended up deleting it and redoing it.

Loki's name changed a few times when I worked on him too, I even have old notes in my sketchbook reflecting how different his personality was at first. Might be funny to look back at it in a few years. Who knows.

Thoughts on the outfits from the Monster High live action movies (this is gonna be a long post I can already feel it)

I’m working off promo shots cuz I’m Not watching these movies my head would explode.

Toralei: she’s first cuz she’s only in the one movie.

I like most of her outfit. Her skirt feels out of place because the colors and print feel random. Nothing else like that shows in her outfit so it looks a bit…off. This could honestly just be fixed with more drafts

Frankie

Movie one:

G E T THIS PARTY CITY, HALLOWEEN SPIRIT PLASTIC CHAIN HAVING MF-ERY OUT OF HERE P L E A S E. The worst part about their outfit is that it’s so fuckin’ plain??? Like the dress is completely patternless, the chains do pull the eye down but they’re also placed so they hang over the front and not their hip which looks SUPREMELY awkward, the tie is the most eye catching thing on them and that’s bad because it pulls too much focus from their face! The stiff collar shirt, tights and shoes are just fine, I like the idea of them trying to mix these very different looks and the ripped tights pull interest to the legs after the VOID OF NOTHINGNESS THAT IS THE PINAFORE DRESS.

Movie two:

This. This is SO MUCH BETTER.

While it’s not quite to my personal taste, as an outfit this is wayyy better. The vibrant neons on a black background is pretty tried and true and it looks pretty dang good here too! Like the color choices but the placements really make it here. The neon green strips around the arms and neck don’t pull focus from their face but they do pull it down to the rest of the outfit! The weird fishnet shirt underneath (while not my favorite) works with their belts and bracelets to pull the eye down, the belt chain and zipper detailing on their cargo pants continue the trend, then you hit their platforms and the silver/white parts pull you RIGHT back up to their hair. I also love the mix of punk and prep they did here with the crop sweater vest and the cargo pants. Overall: Wonderful, wouldn’t change much about it.

Draculuara

Movie one:

Aside from how cheap it looks, I don’t hate the basics. It also doesn’t fail the interest curve like Frankie’s first outfit. The pink isn’t very well dispersed and mostly focused on the top half of her (her hair, puff sleeves, neckline and belt). I will admit they did a good job keeping her outfit and skin from clashing (in promo at least).

Then you get to the small void of her skirt. If you just take the end lace and make that the same color as her under shirt, belt or necktie you’d be so much better off. Personally I would’ve given her a few different thin petticoats in different shades of pink so that A. Her dress would look fuller and either exaggerate her A-line and break her up from Clawdeen and B. Give her movement and more variation. When she moves or sits, you’d see all the shades of pink peaking out from under her skirt.

I say different shades of pink because it would also pull in her light pink Maryjane’s (her shoes) I only think they work because of her wearing tights, otherwise they’re the same color as her skin. I personally would’ve gone with lace socks (lace tights exist I just think that would’ve been too much)

Movie two:

This outfit shows what I was talking about with her skirt from the last one. It also shows what I meant with her pink colors clashing with each other. In promo for the second movie, her frock coat (the jacket dress), hair and skin are all fighting each other. It makes her hair look faded, her skin look washed out and her frock coat look VIOLENTLY PINK.

It works on Frankie with their blue because A. It’s used way less and B. it’s a different tone from their skin.

Draculaura’s is fighting with her.

Now the underside of her dress is also why I’d use several shades of pink, cuz that just looks flat.

This one might be more of a me problem, but her shoes are violently pink but they’re the wrong *shade* of violent pink which bothers me.

I do love the pink panel and buttons on her frock coat and her heart belt. Looks like the vampire heart from Frights, Camera, Action.

Cleo isn’t in movie 2 promos for some reason so movie one only-

Party city is once again the problem.

I. Structurally it’s not bad. There’s interest throughout and it’s technically on theme. This outfit is bad because it feels misfit to the person wearing it and it looks cheap.

Her skirt looks like a bathmat, her wraps look weirdly…dirty? Like they don’t look like old wraps, they look like dirty gold silks, which she’d NEVER wear. Also why do they tie twice?? And why do the hanging ties look like a completely different material from the rest of the wrap??

Her jewlery is dull in color and looks very floaty and light all contributing to the cheap costume-y, party city look.

Her shoes are fine, they’re a different shade of blue but that doesn’t really matter here.

Another thing I think makes it look like Not-Cleo is that there’s not enough asymmetry. The wraps G1 Cleo had on her arms gave a ton of nice looking asymmetry that was added onto by bangles or purses. G1 Cleo does have looks without these and they’re more symmetrical, but they’re the exception, not the rule. She’s also just not accessorized as much as I think Cleo would be.

What. What the FUCK is this mess. It’s so busy. So busy.

There’s no interest anywhere because it’s too damn busy. EVEN HER FUCKING SHOES ARE BUSY. The fur coat is completely and totally unnecessary in this outfit, it shouldn’t be here. Put it on something ELSE.

Her belts feels like a slap in the face because it’s an ATTEMPT to separate the patterns of her skirt and shirt, but one is ALSO PATTERNED and one is a whole different texture. And they’re both too thin to help anyways! I hate this.

Not that making it chunkier would exactly help this awful decision. I want to delete this skirt so badly- there’s no reason for it to be patterned like this, they just WANTED TOO.

I give the move shirt a pass because she’s a lost kid and her only connection point is the moon. So okay, that’s fine. If you can explain to me why the skirt and shoes and patterned like that beyond “she’s a werewolf!” Then I’ll eat a fuckin shoe or something I just-

Movie two:

Better. Quite a bit better.

I don’t love that they got rid of the only pattern that made any sense for her character. Especially since she’s supposed to beefing with the cat girl, yet she’s wearing a cheetah print skirt. The belt is chunkier and does a way better job separating things out, it also pulls the color of her jacket’s fur trim in-I don’t like that color here, but it works.

Speaking of! Her jacket is no longer an offense to fashion, it’s much more tasteful with just a purple fur trim. As for the color…her whole outfit is honestly very cold shades of purple, and they don’t mix that well together. Mostly the skirt vs the jacket. There’s also not enough interest all out, the skirt pattern is eating it all up so your eye is just drawn to the lower middle of her body rather then her face because purple curls are blending with the jacket.

Her shoes are super inoffensive.

I hate these so bad in part because Clawdeen is supposed to be into fashion isn’t she??? (Unless they changed that) She’d know these things- so it pisses me off some-

The hard truth about tumblr is that for the most part, people are here for two kinds of things: short writing (the internet has truly ruined our attention spans), and smut. So those tend to be the kinds of things that get the most attention.

Longer things, or things that require some kind of concentration, or “serious” things don’t really get much. I know for a fact that with the two series that I’ve written, some folks skim. Jump ahead to the smut or the scenes they wanna see and only kind of skip the rest. And, yeah, sure, writing should be first and foremost for yourself. But it’s a human thing for your ego to get stuck in it too. When we work hard on something we kind of wanna know that others can recognize our hard work reflected in what we do. Or when we do something that we think is good, we hope that others like it as much as we do. And when that doesn’t happen, it stings.

But idk about you. I’m the sort of person who can’t do something that I’m not interested in. Like if I tried to write something because I know it’s the sort of writing that people want to read, it feels like fuckin torture. My heart isn’t in it. Neither is my focus or concentration. And then if it gets the praise that I knew it was going to get, it feels so cheap and dirty and unwarranted. I HATE it. I’m never proud of anything that I’ve only written cuz someone wanted me to. No matter how many views it gets.

So, I’d say, just write what YOU want to write. If nobody else likes it at least you do! And you know how much hard work and thought went into it. (And then send it to me cuz I’d love to read it!!!!)

OH GOD okay i think i have talked about this a little every now and then but i'll stick that specific post i drafted under a cut though because it is 2 o'clock on a tuesday

basically it's like... okay for example. last week a tiktok trended essentially talking about how people made up steve's relationship with his parents being neglectful or abusive (which is true) but the tone being used in the comment section was like inSANE and something i've seen in many different contexts from many different sources it just all highlighted it horribly for a moment there though. but this isn't about that specific tiktok iderc about it. but like people were acting like it was soooo funny so hilarious we love it haha but i eat it up tbh haha i love it when he's abused haha ... ??? like how are people seemingly en masse actually incredibly aware of and able to identify something like that and instead of taking the time to be like actually .. maybe this is weird in a lot of contexts 🤔 they instead just go haha i love it though. like i don't even know... how brains can work like this what is stopping you from attempting to access a voice to your OWN OPINION.. weird. but not the point

I'm still working on my book most nights, is why I don't post on here very often.

It took me about a week to get that "Doctor Worm" story where I wanted it, which meant a hard limit of 1000 words. It meant a lot to me to finally write it. I've felt for years that the song is about someone desperately trying to fake it until he makes it. Someone with crippling low self-esteem, with lines like "I'll leave the front unlocked 'cuz I can't hear the doorbell" suggesting that Doctor Worm is so fucking needy that he's willing to risk his safety for the sake of getting someone to listen to him play the drums at his place.

"Experimental Film" is the exact opposite: it's someone who hasn't even figured out what their film is going to be about, but he's so convinced that it's going to be great that he's insisting that the ending will make your head implode and you're going to be in it.

It was a fun story to write. I have nothing else to say about it.

That's not true. I have a lot more to say about it, but I don't think the story resonated with anybody, so writing more about it here probably won't mean anything.

The three jokes I posted afterward are, to me, absolutely hilarious, because they each suggest an entirely unreal world with rules and logic that are different from ours. One must destroy all apes in the world of the third joke, because apes threaten the supremacy of humanity. That's extremely funny to me. Not destroying apes; the idea that the mere existence of an ape would threaten humanity's grip on our planet, to the point where even simple jokes declare that one must destroy them without mercy and at any cost. That's fucking funny.

It's kind of like… I know a guy who makes music, and it's super meaningful to him, and he embraces disharmony, and I absolutely can't deal with disharmony. I just don't like it! And I think it's great that he does! Do what makes you happy, you know?

I want to think that my jokes are like that. I like them, and I hope it's okay with other people that I waste their time with them, even if they don't think it's as funny as I do to imagine a world where scientists who think that a chicken who crossed the road didn't exist are being hunted down and killed for their heretical beliefs.

My current writing class ends at the end of April, so that's about nine weeks away. I'm frustrated, because I won't actually finish the third draft of the thing by then. I was almost halfway done with it by the end of November, but after a frank conversation with my tutor, I was convinced to scrap it all and start over. The third draft, I mean. I still have the second draft.

It's probably better this way, but it's annoying. It's why I'm spending so much extra time on it now. I'm trying to rebuild what I'd already written and then get past that point.

I'm frustrated. I have a solid grasp of how to write, but not how to write novels, you know? I've written so many essays and reviews and things that I can pretty easily string words together and not repeat myself or make grammatical errors, which puts me ahead of a lot of people. But coming up with plots and characters and themes that resonate with people… I think that the evidence all points to me being just as bad at it as I think I am.

Like… I have this character, and I really like him, because he's this completely evil villain, and he thinks he's a good guy. Tale as old as time, right? But I still like him. There's a chapter in the book where he breaks into a room where this six-year-old girl has snuck off to do some late-night reading, because he's a good and righteous person who has to hunt down the evil bastards who rescued her from a criminal gang and took her to the orphanage where she now lives, and he tells the child, in no uncertain terms, that she's going to help him find those evil bastards, and he's going to kill them, and when he leaves, she's crying, and he thinks, yep, I sure am a good person.

And that's fun! That's a fun story to me! Because you know this dude's bad news, and that makes it okay when he gets killed later! That's what writing's all about! Or something. But will people actually enjoy reading it? I'm not confident!

I’m getting very bad palpitations/racing heartbeats so I’m not in the state to write much this is exactly why I wish I had someone to talk to in person. I have high fever too… and shallow breathing again. It’s very difficult to get Teddy bears in India because someone has banned certain imports and huge reliable places like Hamleys… inspite of their “quality check” has become another Reliance Mart, they don’t have official Hamley toys 🧸 the banner is good for nothing all you get is cheap roadside stuff which for some reason is impervious to our stringent quality norms, you get all these tacky, garishly coloured bright red, green and raspberry pink Teddy bears (be it in Hamleys or Amazon etc. etc.) in that cheap quality synthetic fabric where they use toxic dyes, as if they are very healthy made out of vegetable colouring, as if the beetroot red is edible for children? On Amazon they only have what Indian girlfriends usually want… all those typical cheesy 6 ft bears that’s it. When I had put everything together for him I had taken a mini birthday cake Teddy bear (15 cm) but it arrived late so I decided to keep it as a keepsake (I feel like sitting with him & crying) and I gave him a proper sized Teddy bear, for the next birthday I had grooming stuff to give ‘cuz what else would u give guys… I was like where will I find a Teddy bear in a Bath Robe? And then I heard myself saying aah that’s impossible even in places which are popular for Teddy bears 🧸 and then guess what? One should never believe anything’s impossible, everything is possible our world is full of surprises, a week later I came across a Bathrobe Teddy (the last of Hamleys that we had) and I immediately got it for him to put it there in my box with all the grooming stuff

Ever since then I have been getting the most perfect Teddy bear that too always at the right moment it’s as if it has created a stroke of good luck or a catalyst (like most other things in my life) I was looking for a Teddy for my car (I don’t have one yet nor am I in the state to drive) so actually for my future car… I have drafted an article (I had written it long ago last year) in case you’d want to read more about cars, but I haven’t published it on my blog cuz that car hasn’t arrived yet in Indian market… anyway I got this Teddy bear 🧸 which will be combined with those mini cushions and other stuff to make someone as comfortable as possible and there will be refreshments too, I’ll share all the details once my post is up, it looks like a perfect little chauffeur Czar is my pseudonym and instead of Car I’ve kept Czar as the title there (not yet published the article) you can read it next year on 23rd Jan, “24 cuz whatever cars I was comparing… well one of them didn’t get launched in India even though it was supposed to (during Auto expo)

That’s just a quick glimpse, I wanted the car to be fully equipped with all this stuff and it’s inspired by luxury hotel rentals/airport shuttles.

So Ralph Lauren Bears are for 10k even from the kids section and I wanted a Barista bear to be precise… I again thought to myself “It’s not that realistic you know, finding something like that especially in India.” Anyway I had already come across whatever I wanted for my theme in the exact same as shade as Ralph’s and then I eventually found a bear too which was quite unexpected, he’s wearing a gingham shirt in the same bottle green colour and grey dungarees, I can also make it sit. He is very cute & adorable 🧸 I have put a pic in my moodboard which will be there in www.lilacnights.com/post/my-little-barista I am not sure if I’ll be able to fulfil this dream but you can read it on 7th Mar it has been pre-scheduled.

Another Teddy: Looks like this month I’ll be spending on Teddy bears… no I got that Ralph and then this, the rest were purchased ages ago. I didn’t want to miss out on this one because nowadays you don’t get bears with the same coloured nose, they all have that cheap white nose that too in a different fabric not fur. This bear costed me around 990 inclusive of the extra ribbon and 100 shipping.

I saw a blogger who has a cottage somewhere & I realised I wasn’t the only one obsessed with bears other than Ralph Lauren, she too has Teddy Bears in every nook and corner of the house and some other blogger just posted a Teddy Bear sitting on her bed, looks like we’ve all got this Teddy Fever together - Zara Sauleh

When she sees everyone playing “puff puff pass”, she’ll roll her eyes.

“What are you guys in high school or something?”

She will insist that she wants nothing to do with it, but after tony makes some remark about it, she decides to prove him wrong.

After a hit or two, Nat becomes more comfortable, she becomes less uptight.

Likes to shoot out more sarcastic one liners then usual

Becomes very flirty ;)

She gets smiley but in a tired way

In fact, She doesn’t stay awake very long after she’s had a hit or two in her system, she gets too tired and calls it a night

By “calls it a night” I mean she basically droops onto you and refuses to move, you’ll have to move her if you want to.

Clint will take a hit or two, just because why not? He could use the relaxation

He’s super chill when he’s high, he keeps to himself

He’s quiet when he’s high, but that’s just because he’s vibing, he’s taking in the music or just simply listening to the nearest conversation.

Wears sunglasses the whole time because he doesn’t want anyone to see his red eyes

There will definitely be a conversation about how he can’t believe this is what mortals do for fun

He’ll become a little more open with you because he’s more relaxed

I’m gonna flat out say it, high loki has a higher sex drive

In his opinion, the weed helps him block out everything else except for you, and that’s why he likes it

Bucky is gonna look at you like your crazy

Then he’ll remember that he is also crazy, and figures the weed might help ease his mind a little.

Bucky becomes more relaxed when he’s high, his guard has dropped a little, but he’s still aware of his surroundings.

He’s funnier when he’s high 

Smiles more which makes you smile because you think he doesn’t smile enough

He still does the staring thing when he’s high, but it’s not as intimidating now, there’s a softer look in his eyes and a small smile on his face

Will open up a little more about his feelings towards you

After his first time trying weed, he’ll get some cbd gummies or something on a regular basis to help relax him

Wanda is surprisingly chill

She’s more open, more humorous, and even nicer.

her magic can resemble her current state of mind if she wants it to

So when she’s high, her magic becomes really pretty and elegant, like it’s in slow motion

In fact, she glows a little when she’s high

She’ll make her magic do pretty things for your entertainment

Due to her magic though, I feel that her high wouldn’t last very long

For her, smoking is just a quick little get away from her mind, something that just takes the edge off a little

He’s never had earth weed, but he’s definitely smoked and drank all kinds of substances through out the galaxy

Sugawara Koushi

You both haven’t really talked about children. The only conversations you’ve had was during family events when your parents or drunk aunts and uncles asked when a baby was coming. One time Suga’s aunt thought you were already pregnant and it was pretty embarrassing. You and Sugawara just had your two year anniversary and he got a raise at his job. Everything was going well so maybe bringing a baby or two into the picture wouldn’t be so bad.

You knew it wasn’t easy but you were ready to start this new chapter of your life with your husband. When he came home he was in a good mood, he graded his students tests and not a single one of them failed. You were finishing up his favorite food when he wrapped his arms around you from behind and he gave your cheek a kiss. “Ooo Spicy mapo tofu, what’s the occasion?” He asked, since it is really spicy you don’t make a habit of making it all the time. “I actually wanted to talk to you about something so I thought making your favorite food would be a good bargaining chip.” You said and he laughed. “I love your honesty and bluntness.” He told you and you giggled.

When you served the spicy tofu he immediately dug in and moaned in delight. “I swear I’m the luckiest man in the world.” He said and you rolled your eyes playfully. “Koushi I wanted to talk to you about something.” You said seriously and he looked up from his food and nodded. “I hope I’m not in trouble or anything...” he said and you shook your head. “Um...I don’t know how to say this...but....” you started and rubbed your hands. It was a habit that you did when you were nervous, Koushi saw this and he placed his hands over yours. “Take your time okay? You can tell me anything.” He said and you nodded. “I’ve been thinking about this for awhile now and we never really talked about this before. But I wanted to ask if feel ready to have a baby.”

You genuinely wanted to ask for his opinion because at the end of the day he’s the only one working since you’re a housewife. If it was too stressful for him then you probably wouldn’t mind waiting a little longer but you really hope Koushi’s answer would be—

“Are you serious?” He asked, eyes widened as they looked into yours. You nodded, “Yes but if you’re not ready then I wouldn’t mind waiting a bit longer..” you replied. He didn’t say anything and he just stared at you. You couldn’t tell what he was thinking. He suddenly stood up and pulled you with him down the hall. “Um Koushi where are you taking me?” You asked. “Well where else can we comfortably make a baby?” He smirked and your cheeks heated up. “So is that a yes?” You asked and he stopped walking. He placed your back against the wall and he held your waist gently. “Of course, I want children, more than anything.” He said softly and you smiled. He softly kissed your lips, They oozed out so much love and you were glad that Sugawara is your soulmate.

Ushijima Wakatoshi

Ushijima could tell you had baby fever because you kept gushing at your friends baby for awhile now, you’d constantly gush over the photos you’re friend posted on her social media and finally one day your friend came over with her baby as a surprise. Ushijima was out training and you and your friend caught up while you played with the baby.

Ushijima came home to find his wife feeding her friends baby while her friend layed back on the opposite couch. You’ve been friends since highschool so he didn’t mind her sudden appearance, “Hello Wakatoshi.” Your friend greeted but you were too focused on the baby to even notice Ushijima’s presence. Ushijima acknowledged your friend and walked behind the couch to you. He leaned down and gave your head a kiss and you finally looked up and turned around. “Sorry Toshi I didn’t know you were back.” You apologized and kissed his cheek. You were glad he showered at the gym.

“It’s fine, you seemed a little busy.” He said and walked back around to sit next to you. “Do you want to hold him?” You asked, “No I’m fine.” He shook his head and you slightly frowned. Does he not like babies? Does he even want children? Maybe not now because he’s too busy training for the Oympics.

“Oh okay...” You said and you put the bottle down, you put the little towel on your shoulder and you began to pat his back to burp the baby. Ushijima saw how your mood changed a bit and your friend knocked out on the couch. She was extremely exhausted.

He wondered if he did anything wrong but nothing rang a bell. “Are you upset about something?” He asked, “No it’s nothing.” You gave him a small smile and you stood up to walk around while continuing to burp the baby. “It doesn’t seem like nothing, you were fine less than a minute ago.” He pointed out and you sighed. “I’m just wondering if you even like babies, or if you ever want children. Everytime we see our family you never want to hold babies or toddlers, you sometimes look scary so my nieces and nephews don’t want to talk to you nor get near you.” You admitted. He was still confused as to why you were upset about it.

“Why does it matter right now whether I want children or not?” He asked bluntly and you stopped walking. You stared at him with such bewilderment, he wasn’t getting it at all. “Maybe It’s because your wife wants children and she wants to take your feelings into consideration.” Your friend spoke up, she couldn’t sleep due to your chatter. Ushijima looked at her then at you but you had your back turned and you were looking at the window. He saw the head of the baby peering over your shoulder and he wondered if what your friend said is true. “Is that true Y/N? You want to make a family already?” He asked, you turned around slowly and nodded. “Yeah for awhile now but you’re too busy with Olympic training I understand if you want to wait.”

He smiled softly, “Thanks for taking my feelings into consideration. I wouldn’t mind although it will be stressful.” He said and you turned. “Seriously?” You asked and he nodded. You smiled and gave him a small kiss. “Do you wanna hold the baby now?” You asked. He hesitated a bit but held his arms out to carry the child.

The baby looked at him with wide eyes and smiled. “Yeah maybe being a dad isn’t so bad.” He whispered.

I've been anticipating the analysis since you brought it up, and it did not disappoint! You summed up why I love Luke's anniv card and Luke himself so well! Your explanation of why you enjoy Luke being a flawed, imperfect character really resonated with me, and helped me figure out some of my own personal tastes in media and why I have them, and you breaking down the "believe in us" line made me look at that line, which I had preciously glossed over, in a totally different light and made me appreciate it so much more. Yet again, an excellently done analysis!

This is kind of unrelated to the actual analysis, but to share some of my own thoughts I think the line that resonated with me the most was what mc said in the second option. "Not being able to love you while there's still time scares me more" and everything she says when you pick it.

It's so common in fiction to have love interests work day and night to find a cure for their dying loved one and eventually succeed, and I get why, I really do. I love it actually. But I think I've come to realise that I like stories where the two characters just cherish the time they have left, no matter how long it is. I love what mc is saying in that line. As you've said in the analysis, mc's view of the uncertainty of the future leaves a lot of room for hope, hope that Luke can be cured. But in that line to me, what stood out is that to mc, even if what Luke fears come to pass it won't have been all for nothing, because what was important was being able to love Luke while he was still there. No matter how it lasts, the time she spends together with Luke is special, and that's a fact that won't change even if what he says does come true. I adore mc and how she cherishes the present, and this is no different.

There's a line associated with a character from another game that reminded me of Luke and his shortened lifespan when I first started playing ToT. It comes from one of her endings with another character. I haven't compared the two in a long while because they're two very different characters who deal with their shortened lifespans in very different ways, but reading the anniv card brought this character and that line back to the forefront of my mind. "It is said that, for however long it lasted, they were happy." I think this line just about sums up lukerosa and the anniv card to me.

So this kind of got away from the original analysis ddtidti thank you for reading this if you did! I haven't commented on an analysis in so long and while this isn't quite the same as my previous comments on your previous analyses considering this one has way more of my own thoughts it does feel nice to be able to comment on an analysis post again.
