He also gives me possessive vibes, so this inspired some. (Due to his closed off demeanor, this was by far the hardest to decipher.)

Kuai Liang

Like his brother, he would keep open acts of affection to a minimum. Not because he's uncomfortable showing it, he would just rather keep those special moments between the two of you. Although, he is more than willing to show how much he loves you Infront of others.

Tomas would most likely be more open than his brothers, showing affection whenever he's in your presence. He definitely gives me the vibe that he would be very soft, gentle, and shy when using these with you however.

Liu Kang

Liu Kang is a busy man, working as earthrealm's protector and god of fire and all. When he gets the chance to, however, he's holding you close and whispering sweet nothings into your ear. He is a very humble man, and sees his s/o as someone to worship, someone he holds dearly to his heart and would show this any chance he gets. Pet names, holding hands, and gentle hugs in public are the farthest he goes, he is respectful and would rather keep his private life well..private.

Raiden

Raiden would be much like Liu Kang and Tomas, showing only soft affection with a shy smile in public and keeping his full love for you hidden from prying eyes. Like Liu Kang, he is very respectful and would also worship his lover. If his love wanted his to show more affection in public? Consider it done, although expect a deep red to engulf his face in a rush of embarrassment if anyone (cough cough johnny) teases him on the matter.

Kenshi Takahashi

Kenshi is possessive, within limits, not overly so but you are his and his only. He will show his affection in public through hand holding, forehead kisses, long hugs, and lots of small sweet kisses on your lips and face. He will most likely point out all of his favorite features about you, one kiss at a time. He would still prefer to keep it private, but if someone oversteps, he's pulling you close and calling you his.

Kung Lao

Kung Lao is a foodie, expect a lot of nicknames related to food. His cocky behavior shows in the nicknames he gives, giving you sarcastic and joking nicknames in public, causing a bit of banter between you two. In private he's letting you know you're his, in the softest way possible. He's very respectful of women in particular, he would never call you names to hurt your feelings, especially you being his special someone.

Lin Kuei Satoshi AU, thanks to @jocelynhealy for the convos that have helped inform this AU

We all know that the old Lin Kuei were a bunch of cruel fuckers so what if they kidnapped Satoshi instead of killing him, training him to be Lin Kuei?

He'd probably be too young to actually succeed in running away and would be trying his best to survive, and I think that Kuai Liang would see too much of himself in the kid to turn a blind eye and so would take him under his wing and try to plan an escape for him. Satoshi eventually becomes his apprentice under the moniker Dragonfly and views Kuai Liang as the only ally he has, the cryomancer treating him with kindness and protecting him as best he can.

Then Bi-Han dies, so Kuai Liang and Smoke leave the Lin Kuei, taking Satoshi with them as it is his best chance at an escape, given that Scorpion is the only living Shirai Ryu that anyone knows of. Satoshi and Kuai Liang both end up getting captured, with Satoshi never finding out that Scorpion is his dad. Satoshi escapes before getting cyberized and ends up trying to live a normal life after a while. The Lin Kuei imploded and everyone thinks he's dead so why not?

Eventually he hears that someone going by his father's name has refounded the Shirai Ryu, but he refuses to believe that it is his dad because if it was, why didn't he look for Satoshi? (Bc he thought you were dead, dumbass) and so he investigates.

Upon finding out that it is his dad, who adopted two children (Takeda and Fox who isn't dead bc fu NRS) and allied with the Lin Kuei (though he doesn't know who leads them now) he's pissed off and swears revenge, attacking the Kombat Kids every chance he gets to try and get to Takeda and Fox, until he runs into his father who tries to stop him, freezing when he realizes who it is. Satoshi runs, not wanting to face that and as soon as Kuai Liang finds out, he goes after him.

Kuai Liang knows him well enough by now to know where Satoshi would go to hide, finds him, and tries to talk some sense into him, leading to Satoshi attacking and Kuai Liang refusing to defend, continuing to just talk and tell him about how much Hanzo has been grieving Satoshi and Harumi, the things he does to honor them, how much he misses them both. Satoshi refuses to believe it and knocks him out, dragging him back to the Shirai Ryu compound.

Once there, Satoshi challenges his father to Kombat, intending to kill him. By now, Hanzo has been around Kuai Liang enough to know that this is how Lin Kuei settle arguments (and doesn't that just break his heart, that his son is Lin Kuei as little as either of them wants to admit it) so he agrees, and also refuses to defend or fight back as his son attacks.

Satoshi is just screaming at him, demanding that he fight back, but Hanzo refuses to raise a hand to him, no matter what, leading to Satoshi just breaking down crying as he clutches at his father, who immediately wraps him up in a hug (even though Hanzo is so injured that it is agony to do so, he won't let go) and just holds him through it.

Eventually, the three sit down and talk it through, discussing what has happened in the years they've been separated and relearning each other.

And Satoshi comes home.

Bones, are there any Bisexual character in your AU? I myself, am a proud bisexual who NEEDS MORE BISEXUAL CHARACTERS IN MEDIA! I headcannon Bluestar as being bi and Leafpool as well! Mothwing is DEFINITELY a Lesbian!! MOTHPOOL FOREVER! HAPPY PRIDE MONTH!!!!!!!!!🌈

I approach bisexuality as a default! Cats who lean towards certain genders are the exception, not the rule. I just write it being totally standard to feel attraction to whoever.

So I try to make an effort to show it in the story, by having cats visibly display it. I crave media that has bisexual people who act on that attraction as more than offhanded background lines, if that makes sense

Characters who are shown being bisexual;

Ivypool. Dates Blossomfall, has a pretty massive breakup, marries the ex-kittypet Fernsong.

Dovewing. Dates Bumblestripe, ends up with tiny wife Heartstar.

Brushblaze. Joined WindClan over how smitten he was with Onewhisker; eventually ended up with his Honor Dam Whitetail, and fathered Heathertail's half-siblings, Galerunner and Smokehaze.

Onewhisker. The iconic bisexual disaster. Of course. Brushblaze, Firestar, Smoke, Whitetail... they were all items at one point.

On that note, Firestar is aromantic but not ace.

Harestar, Breezepelt, Heathertail. They're married together.

Violetshine, Tree, Dragonfly. Also married to each other.

Leafstar. Husband Billystorm, girlfriend Echosong.

Bramblestar. Yes. The worst person you know is bi. He was in love with Stormfur during the journey and I do imagine he has at least a little bit of a thing for Spiderleg after he retires.

Squirrelflight also, though. Likewise I imagine she feels something for Daisy, but always has other things on her mind. I ideate about them ending up together in a peaceful moment after TBC and quietly being together in the latest arc

Also Nightmare Exes being contrasted with Dream Exes is VERY funny to me

Reedwhisker is still pining for Hawkfrost, but he did happily sire Duskfur's kits for her and took care of her. I think he would have been able to love her more fully if he wasn't constantly missing Hawk, he's had a lot of grief in his life.

Crowfeather made Leafpool feel loved and important for a while, and she thought he was hot, but god she regretted it after a few weeks and doesn't know what she saw in him

Bluestar had a LOT going on, but I wax poetic about her too much. She's a whole rainbow. This girl's pride flag is shrimp colors.

And this is all in addition to cats who casually talk about how attractive other cats are, how they'd consider relationships with them, but end up with one permanent romance.

So yeah there's a lot of bi cats, listing them is moot because if I don't explicitly state they heavily skew to one gender (Hollyleaf for example), I am writing them as bi-default.

7 Days for Fae: A low-stakes realistic middle grade story about an autistic girl learning to accommodate her own needs, making a new friend, and helping her aunt understand that having a nonbinary parent isn't that big a deal. MC is also physically disabled and her new friend is ADHD-coded.

Cold Iron: A dark urban fantasy set in the 50's about two adult changeling siblings on a quest to release from captivity the humans they replaced as infants. MC is autistic and both are trans.

Cracks in the Stone: A high fantasy following a royal bastard prophesied to save the kingdom when all they really wanted was to enjoy festivals with their friends. Set in a kingdom with an entirely different gender system, MC is physically disabled, important side character is intellectually disabled. No one is white.

To Die Among the Stars: A dystopian sci fi in which people no one is supposed to miss—the poor, mentally ill, outcasts, and inhuman—are quietly stolen away to experiment on. But each of those people left behind someone who cares, and they won't rest until they've unraveled the mystery and saved their families. All of the 5 POV characters are disabled and/or mentally ill, and 2 are trans. The group is also racially diverse.

Emerald Outpost: A sci fi thriller following a team of spies sent on a nonsense mission as punishment, only to discover that they might be the only ones who can save their planet as well as their enemies'. MC is Jewish and bi, the rest of the main cast includes a gay Muslim man, lesbian Latina woman, aro ace Latino man, and Black bi trans woman.

Future Projects

Dragonfly Wings: A middle grade fantasy about a changeling girl who is taken back to faerieland but finds she no longer knows how to stop masking as a human. MC is autistic-coded.

Falling Petals: A historical story covering 100 years and 4 generations in a family that loves each other but is living in a world they don't fit into in very different ways and find themselves hurting each other instead. Entire family is Jewish and all 4 MCs are autistic-coded (except for the last one who is able to realize she's explicitly autistic).

After the War: An urban high fantasy following a war between the human and elfen countries, as people struggle to return to a peaceful normal after 30 years of violence. Werewolves, vampires, and mers were unwillingly affected by a conflict that wasn't theirs. No one trusts each other. But they have to move on somehow. Basically everyone is physically disabled and traumatized.

long, somewhat wavy/fluffy blond hair with two mini-pigtails, one on each side of her head. the rest of her hair is down. mid-light blue eyes, fluffy eyebrows, and usually has a cute grin. her outfit is made of an undergarment (in a pale purple/white color) that is shaped similar to a cloud at the bottom and the ends of both sleeves, a toole skirt that is colored to look like the night sky/a galaxy goes over the undergarment and is secured with a deep purple corset. two smaller versions of the skirt are attached at each of her wrists to give her fancy sleeves, both secured with stiff material that wraps around and is buttoned up. the long sleeves of the undergarment that are still visible also have that really nice and very shaped poof to them. she wears white tights and (currently undecided what color but likely a darker shade of purple or navy) Mary Janes. her dragonfly wings are specifically purple skimmer dragonfly/roseate skimmer dragonfly

Give us more of the Lin Kuei Satoshi AU, go crazy with it

I think the bit that's stuck in my head rn is his relationship with Kuai Liang. Like Satoshi and Hanzo's relationship makes sense and i relatively simple (Satoshi: I love you but I think you betrayed and replaced me so I'm gonna hurt you to make myself feel better. Hanzo: I'm so glad you are alive, if you have to kill me I won't fight you, I just want to know that you are well) But with Kuai Liang it is a little more complicated (and also Kuai Liang is my babygirl and I Will fixate on him wherever I can)

So, I think that Satoshi and Kuai Liang were actually quite close in the Lin Kuei, despite the clan frowning on attachments. I think Kuai Liang would have looked at this boy who has seen his parents die in front of him and been kidnapped and he would just see himself. Kuai Liang would probs go out of his way to protect Satoshi as much as he could, taking punishments for him so that Satoshi could escape as much pain as possible.

I think originally I had the idea that Satoshi will have told Kuai Liang about the attack but I've kinda changed my mind on that (tho that is still a fun idea to toy with) and I think it's more tragic if Kuai Liang doesn't know. So later, when he meets and becomes first enemies and then allies with Hanzo, he doesn't know who he is facing.

I also think Satoshi would have a lot of complicated feelings about the Lin Kuei. He'd hate them for what they did, but he'd still be one and I don't think he'd be able to separate who he is from that. Plus, Kuai Liang is kind to him, and I think he'd latch onto that and cling to Kuai Liang as much as possible, which would lead to some guilt on Satoshi's part bc to him it feels like he's trying to replace his parents (hence his rage when he thinks his dad has done the same thing, he's projecting).

Satoshi def tried to run away once and Kuai Liang helped him, leading to them both getting caught and punished (my hc is that if you try to desert the Lin Kuei, they brand you with their sigil and Kuai Liang and Bi-Han tried to run as children so he already has one on his wrist, and now Satoshi has one as well, tho idk where his would be).

After the cyber initiative, Satoshi was able to fake his death and escape, leading to Kuai Liang thinking that he's dead and mourning him. Like, he felt responsible for the kid and tried to take care of him and now he feels like he failed and I don't think he ever forgives himself for that.

Hanzo and Kuai Liang def talk about Satoshi, but they don't know they are talking about the same person. Kuai Liang only knows the kid as dragonfly and so that's who he talks about and Hanzo thinks Satoshi died, so he doesn't pick up on the fact that they are the same person.

After Takeda brings Satoshi home, Satoshi avoids Hanzo as much as possible, sticking to Kuai Liang's side again like he did in the Lin Kuei. Hanzo is really hurt by this but tries to grin and bear it bc he's just glad his son is alive and home again. Kuai Liang kinda gets caught in the middle between his apprentice and his kind-of-but-not-really boyfriend and eventually just forces the two to sit down together and talk their shit out
