Synopsis: You knew them before the world did, now you get to experience it together. And fuck along the way

Warnings: Contains smut written by a minor, some semi-public sex (Beidou)

Notes: Both these fics have such potential to turn out longer but I’m cutting it off here. This is more of a modern!AU

Beidou and you were good friends during your school years before you drifted apart. It wasn’t until her band gained some popularity that you purchased tickets for a concert in your city hoping to see her again.

You were awe-struck when the both of you locked eyes, and by the look on her face you can tell she was too. So much so that she forgot the words to her own song but found her footing after holding the mic to the audience and urging them to sing with her. Security approached you after the show and guided you backstage where Beidou was waiting. Your reunion felt like fate as you settled in to catch up and it felt like not a day has passed.

Yet now that you’re both more mature, you do feel like there has been something that’s changed. Okay, maybe you have a tiny crush on Beidou all those years ago but that was all in the past. There was never any sign that she’d actually return your affections, at least as far as you knew, so you just let it run its course and hope for the best that nothing of that time resurfaces again.

It would take time for the both of you to get re-acquainted before those feelings arises again. Sure, Beidou’s had her fun, but why is it after meeting you that the thought of sleeping with someone else feels wrong? Maybe it had to do with the fact that you weren’t after her body, money, or status but her as a person. Or maybe it had to do with the fact that being in your arms felt like the home she never had. Either way, Beidou will eventually straight out ask if you want to be in a relationship with her. She wants to shout your name from the rooftops and doesn’t want to waste an opportunity like this over something as simple as fear.

Beidou’s band, The Crux, is known globally for their talented members. Namely their lead singer, Beidou, whose talent lies not just in her voice but in her fingers. She’s well acquainted with her electric bass guitar and often plays it during her shows. It’s no wonder she’s so good with her hands when she spends so much time plucking the stings. She knows how to work each digit to make you reach your high. And she does it with such rough precision it makes you begging for more.

Because of the constant hustle of her life, Beidou is definitely the type to partake in various forms of semi-public sex and has developed a likeness for quickies. The time she has with you during the day is so short, she wants to make the most of the time she has with you. Even if it means fucking you in places that might get you both caught, it all just adds thrill to the fun. She’d do it with you in a dressing room 10 minutes before a show no doubt. She’ll purposefully take her time enjoying you despite the urgent knocks on the door.

Even if you’ve been urging her to go for the sake of her career the minute you let yourself fall into pleasure she’ll take your advice, leaving you in wait til after the concert.

Being with Beidou means getting along with her band. There’s Juza who plays drums and occasionally steals you away to teach you a thing or two when you expressed interest in percussion. You and Huixing, who’s on keyboard, talk of travel; the places you’ve been and all the places you want to go. Maybe she can pull a few strings to get the latter to happen. Sea Drake, the lead guitarist, tells you all about the embarrassing stories he’s kept record of on all the members. Curiously, the one story he won’t tell is of how he got his nickname.

Everyone is so friendly and they all welcome you with open arms. They see the way their lead lights up when you’re in the room, they’re glad the two of you have found each other. With them, it’s like you’ve found another family.

After a rough day at work and a recent break-up, you wanted nothing more than to drown your sorrows in the nearest bar. You weren’t expecting to see such a beautiful bartender behind the counter at this late hour, much less to be so perceptive of your current state. He served your drink alongside a glass of water, and offered his ear for listening.

He listened to your day, you listened to his. You expressed how you don’t drink often, and he promised that if you were to come by another time he would brew tea or some other non-alcoholic drink instead. This promise led to you coming back every so often, he made good company and the knowledge the both of you shared made your conversations seem they can go on forever. You spoke of your hopes and dreams over those counters.

During the later hours there aren’t as many patrons but the bar still manages to occasionally pay for live performances. One night you both paused your conversation to listen to a man sing covers of mainstream artists and Zhongli said wistfully, “That’s what I want to do”

“What, sing covers at a near-empty bar?”

“Hm, covers no, but something like that.” You never thought you’d see him again after he quit his job without any notice, putting an end to your weekly chats. It made you regret not getting his number earlier and you mourn for the possibilities as your social media search comes to a dead end.

Years later, you nearly forget him until one day your friend scored front row tickets to one of his concerts and you are reminded of all those late nights. When he sees your face in the crowd he needs a moment to compose himself before singing.

His voice is what draws people to him. It’s suave and melodic to the ears whether it’s a fast paced or slower song, not to mention how enticing it is when he’s just simply talking. Paired with the right background productions for his songs, women and men alike swoon for him.

After the concert he’ll seek you out amongst the throng of fans to personally invite you to have a drink with him somewhere more private. Hi visage is apologetic as he recounts the meaning behind his sudden disappearance. But after the air is cleared he tells you how he’s glad to have his old friend back.

You get free tickets to shows that are in the city and unlimited access to time with him before and after. You’re always the first he meets when he goes offstage. He’ll put his hands on your waist and bring you in for a hug, wrapping his toned arms around you. He’s harbored feelings for you since the day you walked into that bar, they were just dulled in the time apart. He’ll wait patiently for you if you end up returning his affections.

He values your privacy immensely and knows the damage fame can do to your reputation. So at first he wants to make things official, yet exclusive. But despite the attempts your relationship was the spark for rumors and went straight to the headlines and there really wasn’t much reason in denying anything anymore.

The both of your are an absolute power couple. Especially at award shows, both being sure to match your outfits accordingly. It was unintentional at first when the both of you met in the limo and discovered you both wore navy blue, but now it just became your thing.

You took notice of how Zhongli adores the fact that your matching attire shows that you’re with him. Crowds like these can bring out the worst people and he wants to show those who try to flirt with you that you’re taken. Who can blame them though when you’re dressed like that. All that time spent modeling dresses and lingerie has to count for something, right? Not that it really matters in the end when it tears the material as he’s trying to free the fabric from your body.

When you are able to make the time, he loves having you by his side during tours. Zhongli is usually a composed man offstage. Most of the time he’s calm and courteous with his words and actions. But the rush of a good performance changes him; he feels like he’s on top of the world and wants to be on top of you. Sex after shows feels like such a privilege because you get to see the reveal of a completely different side of him.

He’s very compassionate with you. You have a small ritual before every performance: you do his signature red eyeliner, and he gives you a kiss on the lips for luck (later a kiss on a different set of lips). As you wave him off stage you realize you can get used to a life like this.

And I'm not sure which one's craisiest. But the 2 on FF are both Rise of the Guardians crossovers, one with Avengers and the other with LES MISÉRABLES. What was younger me smoking? I would really like to know.

16. What are your writing strengths? Aaaaaahhh. Trauma management? Like, they way people go about it and navigate it; how they talk about it with others? At least I THINK that's my strength. People keep complimenting those things XD

17. What are your writing weaknesses? I am too flowery with wording and I get sick of myself. It's out of control and I sometimes can't help it.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I love it. If I can't get help I'll just wing a google translate, or god forbid do some research on structure. I'm BAD at it, but I love it and use it frequently.

19. First fandom you wrote for? Inazuma Eleven (anime) hehe. Love of my youth, protect me.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written? I love this this Twilight one-shot I wrote some years ago. It made me suffer a lot (for reasons you can find in the author's notes) but the idea has always had a tight grip on me. I really like it (and hope to got I can get the sequel out one day).

because I’m insane, I hand-transcribed all of Diluc’s winery letters in his current outfit event. It was mostly to keep Kaeya’s letters, but I also got the ones from everyone else, which includes my guesses at the authors. (I’m still pretty new to GI having only been playing a couple of months, so there may be errors there.) DILUC'S LETTERS

A letter with Rough Handwriting (Grand Master Varka) 

Diluc, 

Jean wrote to me lately with shocking news. If I don't miss my guess, she wrote to you too. Her sentiments are those of the Knights as a whole. Crepus was a good man, and I thought very well of him. It grieves me greatly to know that he met with such a fate. As for the defeat of the drake, the honors for that accomplishment should go to your father. I do not accept Eroch's theft of the credit for that deed, which was bought with your father's sacrifice. Stolen credit will not be accepted within the Knights of Favonius under any circumstances. I will not permit it. I have already given Jean the authority to punish Eroch with all necessary severity. The Knights will inform you of the results. I've heard that you've been taking some time off outdoors and may not be easy to reach, so there is no guarantee that my letter will reach you. As such, I'll stop here for now. If it does reach you, then I wish you good health and safety in your travels. Contact us if you need anything. I hope that falcon of yours will help put this letter in your hands. I mean, I don't write in person very often, you know? These may seem like pointless words to you right now, but remember: even the greatest of disasters must come to an end. To the heir of the Ragnvindr Clan, 

I apologize for sending this letter without notice. You may not remember me, but we've met a few times. We've met near the square, when I sat at the table adjacent to yours at the Good Hunter, and I've seen you in your tavern... You were always busy with a great many things, especially back when you were much chattier than you are now. You spoke cheerfully and often with your brother and friends then. It's probably no surprise that you did not notice me then. But I've always had my eye on you, child. I recall with crystal clarity how my little Klee once made a complete mess of your vinyard while she was trying to catch crystalflies there... But you didn't get angry. In fact, you personally escorted Klee back and even gave her a few bottles of fresh grape juice. Now I think that might jog your memory, yes? Klee recently told me she "Hasn't seen that strange man with the red hair in aaages," so I decided to look into it out of curiosity. My deepest condolences regarding your father. In many of the stories I've been told, you are the model knight: proud, driven, a knight of noble character and lineage. But I know that you're gentler than you appear. If you weren't, you wouldn't have treated Klee the way you did. And since you helped my child out, I hope you won't mind if I treat you as if you were my own. Therefore, I sincerely hope that you will leave the dark place that you are presently in, and that you will not wallow in grief and remorse. Partings are most painful things, but they also encourage us to grow. A bird that has lost the roof over its head will fly further than others of its kind. Go out and see the world. That's the best course of action I can envision. Only by feeling, observing, and listening can your heart be healed. Master Kaeya took leave and stayed at Dawn Winery for a few days. In a rare turn of events, he decided to stay in his original bedroom. He would pace about the grounds when idle, and even asked Adelinde to make him his favorite dishes. Ah, it really does take me back. I shall be honest with you, but I was quite surprised to hear Master Kaeya say that he wanted to stay for a few days. We did not refuse him, however. I hope that this news will put your mind at ease. In other news, our people have discovered that the Abyss Order has stepped up its activities between Wolvendom and Stone Gate lately. Also -- a mysterious individual that people are calling the "Darknight Hero" has suddenly started showing up out of nowhere all around Mondstadt City. He typically actis in the dead of night, and his intentions are currently unclear. Please stay safe, and notify the Knights as soon as possible should you see anything suspicious. We will send support immediately. Whether you are presently in our ranks or not, all faithful Knights will remember your contributions to the Knights of Favonius. May you remain in good health. 

A NEATLY WRITTEN LETTER (Albedo?) 

Dear Mr. Diluc, 

It is my pleasure to investigate the ley lines alongside you. As you know, my focus is on alchemy, so my knowledge of the ley lines remains quite shallow, and I fear that I will only be able to share what little understanding I have. According to many pre-existing documents, the ley lines can be seen as a medium for storing information. Under certain circumstances, they can record activities that occur in the area around them. All this information goes through a recording and storage process. After a certain period of time, they may be released once again by the ley lines. If I may be so bold as to make a guess, there should be a method to activate the ley lines. Those who grasp such methods can control the times at which ley line information is recorded and released. Judging from the runic symbols and some other clues, I surmise that there are particular members of the Abyss Order who may have a very small chance of being able to achieve this. If you believe that his requires further investigation, these entities may serve as your point of entry. I wrote a paper a few years ago in which I covered my brief foray inro questions concerning the flow of ley lines and other such topics. You will find a copy of this paper enclosed. I hope that it can help to clear up some of your doubts. 

A NEW LETTER (Informant?)

Dear Darknight Hero, the Knights of Favonius have stepped up the guard details throughout Mondstadt without making any major movements. The Abyss Order will not have noticed. I am scouting around Dragonspine. The monsters here are scattered and separated. Clearly, they haven't been assembled by the Abyss Order. There are no signs of enemy activity in the south of Mondstadt either. If you can confirm that the other locations are also free of monsters, we will be able to conclude that the Abyss Order has nothing to do with the recent ley line disorder.

To D: 

A storm is brewing within the Knights of Favonius. Varka's inner circle is preparing to investigate Eroch and his henchmen, and it's looking increasingly likely that Eroch is about to get unseated from that high horse of his. You might not be too pleased to see this letter of mine, but I mean to get this news to you as soon as possible. You don't have to reply. 

II.

To D: 

Even I was a little surprised to hear that you'd decided to leave on a trip. Jean wanted to write and try to dissuade you, but I advised her against it. As for Varka, I don't think he knows that about this. Otherwise, he'd have probably sat you down for a talk. If you'd like to leave, do it now. The less the people know, the less the goodbyes you'll have to say. Leave at night, too, so things won't be too saddening. Take care. 

III. 

To D: 

Some slightly bad news. Eroch won't be quite so difficult [should be 'easy'? Is this an error?] to bring down after all. The Grand Master's order to investigate has certainly dealt him a major blow, but I wouldn't call the problem "pulled up by the roots' yet. The matter's been handed over to Jean's jurisdiction. She'll take care of this, I believe. Eroch is an obstacle in her path, in any case. Just sit tight and wait for the good news. 

IV. 

To D: 

Recently, a group of businessmen returned to Mondstadt. Word is that the reason for their return is a downturn in business. According to my observations, their employees are regulars at Angel's Share. These people can also be found out in the more dangerous parts of the wilds around the city. Now, a few of them were a little careless and even dropped some pages of their notes on the ground. I took the liberty of returning these sheets to Angel's Share. You know, out the goodness of my heart. I think they might have something to do with you, seeing as how they were there. I also noticed that their notes were written in code. Information brokers, perhaps? Or some kind of secret organization? Whatever the case, it took quite a lot of effort to see those blurred words with only one eye, you know? Don't worry, I'll keep this a secret. 

V. 

To D:

I didn't try to hide it from you on purpose, you know. But I suppose you found out all the same, huh? I mean, not everyone who wears an eyepatch must be blind, right? Don't people also wear an eyepatch if they have a scar over their right eye? 

The long-awaited good news is finally here. Now, I'm going to bring a glass of wine when I go to watch Eroch pack his things and leave on his last day (good riddance, by the way). That should be fun, eh? I know you're not the type to do that sort of thing, but I am, so allow me. 

VI. 

To D: 

Oh my! No sooner did you get back than a mysterious character started popping up. I hear he's called the Darknight Hero. He has repeatedly fought off Treasure Hoarders and monsters in the Mondstadt area -- and he'd even attacked Abyss Order strongholds. So far, it seems like he's on Mondstadt's side, but the Knights of Favonius could never permit the existence of a vigilante. I get the feeling the two of you would get along nicely. Why don't you find an opportunity to get to know him and give him some sage advice? You know, just so he doesn't get caught by the Knights? 

VII. 

To D: 

Per standard procedure, the Knights of Favonius need to take a statement from all relevant parties. Recently, the Knights of Favonius have received reports from a number of eye-witnesses claiming to have seen the Darknight Hero in the vicinity of the Dawn Winery. The Grand Master has assigned the Cavalry Company to this mission. As such, I will be paying you a visit in three days. He seems to think our relationship can be improved if we are forced to talk in person. Don't worry, though. My lips are sealed. This will be nothing more than a formality. Anyway, three days' notice should be enough for you, I presume? 

VIII.

To D:

The appearance of the Darknight Hero has indeed brought the Knights of Favonius some valuable time during the Abyss Order's last attack. This helped Jean convince the Knights of Favonius to stop focusing on trying to stop him. This will decrease the limits on the Darknight Hero's actions, but this doesn't mean his situation will necessarily improve. Objects with too honed an edge tend to be damaged more easily. You, I'm sure, are aware of the great dangers that come with acting alone. That said, I would advise against such a course of action. 

IX. 

To D: 

I heard that the Dawn Winery did not suffer any damage. Likewise, the Knights of Favonius only sustained minor injuries, and will recover quickly. However, an employee of a local merchant has gone missing, and their last known location just so happens to align with the Abyss Order's area of activity. The Knights have dispatched people to go to the rescue. Do be aware that the Abyss Order has become more dangerous of late, even going so far as to organize multi-pronged offensives. Perhaps the Knights of Favonius and the Darknight Hero should team up. That might guarantee that things will go off without a hitch, hmm?

In equal measure, Camila Pauli’s roles transport the audience and transform them; they become lost and different people. I first met Pauli when she was preparing for her debut screen role in the Selvadoradan telenovela, Casa de la Ira, which was directed by my good friend, Jericho Borges. A then unknown Selvadoradan generalissimo’s daughter, her origins might be lowly, but she has ascended like a falling star in reverse to brighten the heavens. To see her at work is to witness one person become another, or two people, or even three. Her ability to learn her lines is beyond doubt and she nearly always follows stage directions to the letter. I am always stunned by her professionalism and her love of hard graft, and I have even seen her remember the names of stage hands – truly a woman of the people.

In many respects our careers have been linked. She starred in my first film for Plumbob Pictures, the 2019 hit Dog Warriors VI which took place in the “Amaze!” universe. Since then her iconic performance of Lieutenant Kalindra Hound has never been bested. In 2020 she wowed audiences and critics alike when she played the fiendishly challenging role of Miss Brumby in my production of the classic period drama Desperation and Defenestration. It was while filming this Gilded Sphere-winning picture that Pauli met her fiancé, Nicholas Drake. With much of the production taking place in the Drakes’ Great Simtish manor, Chodeworth House, I recall Drake and Pauli spending much time together in the house’s great library as Drake read verses of the poetry of Sir Lancel Pennychug to the unusually awe-struck Camila. Except for Camila’s four-month tour of the Greater Sulaniean Sea on her family’s yacht in 2021, the pair have been inseparable since and Pauli will soon become part of one of Simerica’s wealthiest and most powerful dynasties.

Pauli and Drake’s engagement was announced during the couple’s recent visit to Tartosa, where they attended the Ropa Preciosa fashion show.

A fierce defender of arts and democracy, Pauli’s TikTak profile where she reads and interprets passages of inflammatory political philosophy has gained over three million followers world-wide. She is also ambassador of the charity Abduct with Consent, which campaigns against unsolicited alien abductions.

How about a director’s cut for Home for the Holidays? How did you decide on the different kinds of stories you wrote for it? Are there any story ideas for it that you wanted to do but didn’t get to?

Oh my gosh, there are so many stories I didn’t get to finish that didn’t make the cut! But the good news is that I’m not done with Home for the Holidays! will most likely add more stories next December! I might try to get some of these done throughout the year so I can have some ready by December

So I really love the holiday season. And I just really wanted to capture the different wonderful feelings that I get during that time of the year when I do certain things with the people I love

DuckTales has a huge found family with their own found families within that found family and I just figured it’d be fun to highlight that with various holiday things

The first story, When Siblings Reunite! is all about being reunited with your loved ones. To me this had to be the first story in the anthology. One because this is a post-canon story (I love making those) and we all know Donald went on that sea voyage with Daisy and Webby’s two sisters and now I have a reason why they’re here! They’re visiting Home for the Holidays! Hey that’s the name of the fanfic! And I wanted the first story to center around the core family of DuckTales, the McDucks and the Ducks. I myself have a lot of siblings and cousins and I always love those moments when we get together over the holidays and meet up and just start talking with one another. Like a million conversations can happening at once and yet somehow we can all follow along with what everyone is saying. It’s great

The second story, The Gift of the Mad Sci(entist)s! has the work found family, Team Science! I wanted to do a story that involved a Secret Santa and I figured Team Science would be a perfect group to do that with, generic office Christmas party and all!

The third story, It’s All Downhill from Here! was inspired by one of my favorite activities to do with my family on Christmas Day, sledding. Almost every Christmas my family would go to our grandma’s house and if there was enough snow on the ground, my sibs and my cousins would go to this hill at this school near her house where we’d go sledding. I always had fun doing that. I really wanted this one to have all the kids from the show: The Duck boys, Webby and her sisters, Lena and Violet, Gosalyn, and B.O.Y.D. They all deserve to have winter fun

Finally, we got Christmas Rapping! and I gotta be honest, when it comes to karaoke, I rarely like to sing. I don’t mind watching though. Karaoke is a staple for holiday parties and honestly parties in general. But since this is a holiday themed fanfic I decided the song to be sung was my personal favorite Christmas song, Christmas in Hollis by Run DMC (Also the title is a reference to my second favorite Christmas song, Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses) Picking the two characters to sing it was a no-brainer for me. Della because it’s well established she’s an 80s/90s kid and would totally jam out to that song. Fenton was picked because we never got to hear him sing on the show and I just like to think he’s secretly a really gifted rapper. And we gotta have Dewey’s DJ Daft Duck hosting this thing. And since Della, Fenton, and Dewey are performing this song we might as well put Penumbra, Gandra, and Gosalyn together reacting to everything. They’re fun characters that would totally play off each other well

I really wanted to do a Hanukkah related story starring the Mallard family. We saw Launchpad wearing a Hanukkah sweater in the Christmas episode, he’s Jewish. I also headcanon Drake as Jewish. At least I was able to show Gosalyn representing Hanukkah in Christmas Rapping! with her sweater

You know how the first story ended with the two sets of triplets going to frost cookies? Well I thought of doing a story that would be them just frosting and decorating cookies, but I couldn’t start it for some reason

You know how Donald gets into a lot of comedic slapstick in everything he’s ever been in? Especially during those moments when he gets waaaayyy too cocky? Well anyway, one story would involve Donald decking the halls of McDuck Manor; and Della and Louie cannot wait to see what will happen when Donald tells Uncle Scrooge that he will single handedly decorate the house himself since this’ll be the first year he won’t have to worry about any Santa traps

Here’s a fun fact about Home for the Holidays!, I decided that I would write this anthology fic while I was watching the Mystery Science Theater 3000 episode where Joel & the Bots watch Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. Anyway, one story idea I had was one where Louie, Lena, Gosalyn, and Gandra are all watching The Courage of the Cosmos Christmas Special and making fun of the cheesy 80s Christmas TV special. B.O.Y.D. is also there

I had a few heartwarming fluff story ideas that would involve first Christmases with some groups. One of which would be Gyro visiting the Drakes on Christmas Eve. Another would be about Santa’s first visit back to McDuck Manor one year after The Night Santa Stole Christmas! (things might get a little shippy~). And another would be about Gandra spending Christmas Eve with the Cabreras

Back to the funny stuff, one story I REALLY wanna do will star Louie and it’s about him trying to have a quiet Christmas only to be constantly interrupted by Christmas related adventures his family is currently having. This story will have two parts and I cannot wait to write the second part of the story

Lastly, I got a story idea based on entirely on the song by Garfunkel and Oates, aka May and Webby’s voice actors, Present Face:

Delphi Lawrence (March 23, 1932 – April 11, 2002) Film and television actress.

Then they head to a fateful debriefing at Trivellino Mall, learning things they will soon wish they had never discovered.

Free from the Shadow: Samurai Fantasy (Session 1) Lowell Francis runs for Cale P, Elle, Mike Minutillo, and Sherri We work through character creation and the additional of a new clan, following by final details about who the Emperor is and what project they want implemented. We then move to the first Winter Court where several of the clans find themselves overtaken in position by other groups. Finally we see the four protagonists gather together to talk.

Star Trek: Fate of the Quadrant (Session 4) Alun R. runs for Paul Rivers and Will H Chief of Operations Log - Stardate 48284.0 - Lieutenant 733T Reporting: We're returning from the repair of a communications buoy on the edge of the Rolor Nebula in Shuttle Ix and will rendezvous with the Montgomery at Outpost Gamma 7. The repairs were straightforward so we had time to collect some samples from a nearby gas cloud which will keep the team in non-planetary astrometrics happy for weeks. I'm still concerned, though, over the performance of the Montgomery's Engines and on a personal note, I must drill the engineering team more on my return. There's a Starfleet outpost that initially doesn't exist but an unexpected Priority One Alert that can't be ignored. Then, an inconsistent station computer (and crew), temporal inconsistencies, and the away team begin to wonder whose not seeing the world correctly...before a V'tosh ka'tur has to reconsider his view of the world...

Girl By Moonlight: Divine Engines (Session 1) Lowell Francis runs for Ethan Harvey, Patrick Knowles, Sherri, and Tyler Lominack We finish out building our characters and world for this series of Girl By Moonlight: On a Sea of Stars. Then we begin play and see the circumstances of these young mecha pilots and the pressure they're under. After a series of downtime interactions, the first mission is revealed as the home-colony of one of the PCs, now turned into a dead god/living world Leviathan hybrid approaches the Last Bastion.

Eotenweard: Northumbria (Session 2) Alun R. runs for José Feito, Paul Rivers, Sabine V., and Will H Having dispatched a water drake in the Sinister Fen near Thrydingas, Cadoc prays, Fynn recovers, and Solinus searches for his axe, while Black Jell uses the eye of the monster to divine the true path towards the slave girl Efa who ran away during the fight. There's an isolated Fenlander village, the sign of the cross, and a Loon hidden and waiting. Then...a lying elder, the girl at risk, and two transformations...
