What's (more likely) classist is writers thinking he needs to be taught right vs wrong from Bruce and co and that he consequently makes snap judgments out of some childish grudge-fueled rebellion which makes him dangerous the way a toddler holding a knife is dangerous

I've been playing Vice City for almost 20 years at this point and it *never* fucking occurred to me that there was a possibility that Sonny Forelli and Ricardo Diaz could have worked together to sabotage the drug deal in the opening scene and kill Tommy in the process until this screenshot:

It's theorized that the drugs and money on this table are from the cutscene prior and they were somehow *retrieved* and brought back to Sonny, implying that he just sent Tommy to Vice City on the pretense of setting up a new business, but really intending for him to die there.

If we are to believe this theory, this next part is interesting. The phone call that takes place here between Sonny and Tommy makes it seem like Sonny is upset that Tommy lost his money in the botched deal, but in reality Sonny is upset that Tommy survived.

While I don't really put all of my stock in this theory (I've always believed that it was Diaz 100% that sent the hitmen to sabotage the deal between Tommy and the Vance brothers) it certainly can be argued that somehow Sonny had a hand in the deal going south and now he has to save face since his "old friend" is still alive. This can also be supported with how Tommy had to serve 15 years in prison because of another botched deal that Sonny set up. Needless to say, I think Sonny and Tommy were once friends, but Sonny's greed really blinded him and got in the way. What once started out as friendship turned into Sonny confessing to Tommy at the very end by saying: "Those 15 years were mine to spend."

That they did! Wasn't even the most insane thing either. They almost confiscated it because some kids were convinced it was a vape and tried to "tell on me" when I told them they couldn't have it. I had to pull out the actual medication part out of the tube thingy and show them the prescription label with my name on it.

We also weren't supposed to bring any medication at all to school, without the office holding it. This was supposedly to prevent drug problems, but in reality it just made a policy they could barely enforce. My parents made enough of a fuss that they left my brother and I alone [he had an epipen just in case] but there were lots of issues. It even extended to stuff like Tylenol or Aleve, the latter of which I took during my period because the pains were so bad. Not being able to have anything extra to help midday made it;;; rough.

It didn't even work by the way. Kids were smoking weed out back well before it was legal. Also they drank back there a lot.
