One of my favourite historical and religious studies things is when people try and ascribe real world explanations onto things that are obviously made up or mythological or people's interpretations of something.

"what if goliath was actually someone who suffered from X medical condition?" Hear me out here: what if he's a character from a story?

"What if the fruit in the garden of eden was actually a psychoactive mushroom?" have we considered that maybe was a story and not something that actually existed?

"It's possible that jesus suffered from this specific medical condition because supposedly blood and water came out of his side" or perhaps that is a story and/or metaphor and maybe didn't actually happen

yes you can sometimes argue it's people applying an interesting modern lense to things to get an idea of what real world things might have been the inspirations for things, but for more frequently it's people who earnestly believe the bible is accurate history and are trying to prove that.

So reminder to everyone for the Bean Au Moon has always been New Moon. Which due to all the Nexus things puts more light on his Identity issues on being compared to Moon (fascinating too, i saw many people talk about that WAYYY before dark sun). Anyway recent comic where we do get KC squinting very hard about this Moon's growing issues about Old Moon. And we know me. Immediate father figure KC sitting there like 'Oh not another one'. A small tidbit of a thought cause I don't know what I'll do with this yet, similar with Earth and KC's comic. Conceptual but its there. Me remembering canon and going 'hmnnn i know its written as it goes but would've been interesting for THEM to have a talk.'

NASA was doing a fundraiser event to collect funds for Mars colonization and the way they earned money was by viewer donations, and depending on the amount of money, the crazier the event would be. For example, you could pay $500 to cause a solar eclipse. I donated $100,000 to see what would happen, and the sun exploded.

If we can get a brood of 13-year cicadas going, we might have a chance at making this happen before the oceans evaporate under the expanding sun.

Some traditional art I did while in Texas to see the solar eclipse :D First impression of the eclipse left me shell-shocked, speechless and a bit convoluted. I was in awe that I was able to see it, I've been waiting for years for this moment. But at the same time, I was scared by just how small I really felt in this vast moment, mesmerized by the sight of seeing it with my own eyes (IT'S NOT THE SAME AS PICTURES), and sad that I wouldn't be able to see this event again for a very long time. Those 4 minutes and 24 seconds of totality felt like they were so fast, and yet so slow. Words can't describe the feeling of seeing it. I will be making more illustrations cause holy fuck I’m still reeling from it.
