sorry to all my non deltarune followers and people who don’t like tenna for all my tennaposting

it’s not even in the tumblr sexyman way for the sake of New Tumblr Sexyman that i like him, he feels more than that. it’s his silly mannerisms, those fuckass 3D sprite animations, whorish allusions, emotional honesty straightforwardness (both the good and bad that comes of it). his main work motivation is more selfless than spamton’s, entertaining and making people smile. it seems he took a lot of pride in being a happy place for kris during rough times in the family likely when toriel was drinking and fighting with asgore. being an old TV left behind and to be replaced. it all made me sympathetic. i genuinely wasn’t sure about him at the beginning but the more i see the more i care and want the best for him

he stole my heart like spamton did but i think the appeal of tenna that sets him apart from spamton is that he’s just a kinder person. of course he’s not perfect but i mean i think you could show tenna warm affection and he would genuinely welcome it instead of not knowing what to do / getting uncomfortable and worming his way out of it / changing the subject like i think spamton would. but that’s what makes spamton so great in his own right, is his own little character quirks

also there’s endless potential in the technological physical intimacy you could get with hi (feed abruptly gets cut off)

the other thing about being disabled in academia is everyone is like "yeah we can't do much about the buildings they're old :/" as if "old" being a synonym for "inaccessible" isn't just a constant reminder that the people who built the school did not imagine that someday someone like me might study there

#mod felix #obviously there's some stuff that's way more accessible with like. electricity. like. i can get to the second floor. for example #but like. it's still possible to have. for example. ramps. if you as a culture value disabled people and their work #i miss when i was at a school where 'these are old buildings' meant 'these buildings were built for cows instead of people'#rather than 'these buildings were built for students just not students like you'#and of course this is another one that applies to many marginalized groups and like. many groups more than disabled people #in the sense that like. my school was also built to explicitly exclude people of color. for example #but i speak from my own experience and my own experience is characterized by ableism more than anything else #but like . again if you read this and you're like 'this feels like it applies to me in ways unrelated to disability'#well it probably does.

"Carriages, Not Machines"

As a History Geek I've always loved the period of time it takes for language and style to catch up to a new invention. Example: when early automobiles came along, they weren't necessarily viewed as something brand new, but as upgraded carriages. The Woods Company made electric/hybrid vehicles from 1899-1916 and they looked so much like carriages they were even named after them.

Behold the "Brougham" style from 1903 with a driver that looks like he's just waiting for his horses:
