Oh, no no no Bioware. Are you really trying to tell me that Celene immediately choosing to commit genocide against thousands of her own citizens because her cousin is a cunt was 'a tragic necessity', but Anders destroying a Chantry with twenty or so people inside after years of trying peaceable and nondestructive routes and options while said Chantry ignored the horrendous and public abuses inflicted upon the mages was 'monstrous and unforgivable'??

I don't usually do this but I have to, I'm sorry but calling the experience and perspective of a POC whose people were enslaved by white colonist as 'radical' in a negative way is just racism, I don't usually do this but i have to.
Saying that it was wrong for POC people for fighting back against colonism is racism
In the argument i said that the chantry is comparable with white colonist and templar is Nazi coded ( which is true) and the mage/elven rebellion are necessary and I compare it with my people rebellion against Dutch Empire because it's a sensible comparison
Because rebellion and revolution or fighting back with violence against oppressor are necessary
And I said to the other person to not see the chantry as a modern harmless local American church
And this is the response:
Tumblr media
A church is a church, even if it's backing colonialism, slavery and oppression huh? Whoa the racism in DA community. This is why I say DAI GrEy moRality centrist narrative is bad
And can be dangerous
( I bringing Vietnam war as example because defending your people and fighting for freedom against invader is right )
Tumblr media
Mask off add homophobia to the bunch
Add again
According to my mutual, that person is a transphobic ( got wrong info they are not terf, they are actually just plain ol' transphobic) as well *laugh* oh now it make sense.... Sigh....

this is a largely meaningless observation but, based on the fleki uniform demonstration comic, mithrun seems to wear the default style of the canary uniform, probably because he has no desire to personalize it or preference for how to do so, etc. when he does seem to pick his own clothes, though, they don’t look super in-line with what we’re shown of elven clothing styles in his region: high collars look like they’re fairly popular with elves in general, but out of uniform he tends to be a lot more covered up than everyone else—long sleeves, long pants, boots rather than sandals, and he dresses that way both prior to getting eaten and after the events of the series. anyway it’s kind of cute that after everything that happened to him, someone cared enough to remember what his clothing preferences used to be.

So after I did a Pearl as a PRISM Corps magical girl, I really wanted to do another one so here's Gem as a magical girl! She's magically not as powerful as Pearl but she is a lot stronger than she looks, and can still pack a punch without her prism magic. She's more of a glass cannon type.
Im not sure about her lil prism guy's name yet, im thinking maybe Aries? Or Eva? Or Stephanie (i think thats the name of the face in her elven base) idk lol
Gem and Pearl both share an accent color, pretty much because i. could not figure out another color that would fit with Gem's color scheme. The two work as a pair anyways, so maybe that's like their team thing haha

Thranduil: Right, what’s the problem?
Elrond: Problem? Why does there need to be a problem?
Thranduil: Tone of voice. You have three reasons for calling on me: You’re bored, you need to tell someone about something clever you did before you pop, or something’s wrong.
Thranduil: This was your something’s wrong voice

don't get me wrong, love the idea of moon elf subrace Astarion but star elf is literally right there.
His ancestors could have settled back in faerune alongside the rest and his parents could still be alive as it lines up with the 2 milenia that star elves stayed in faerune. Because there wasn't any prospects of going back, they want to connect him to his past and heritage and thus named their baby their little star. LIKE-
Also I can be silly and make fun of Astarion with the beautiful lie that is Alexandria's Genisis. So what's not to love about that?

i will say though that brennan revealing last episode that kipperlilly has been going to guidance counsellor for anger issues since freshman year has absolutely ruined me for seeing her as actually evil. i cannot believe that a teenage girl with anger issues is irredeemably evil i just can't

I keep thinking that King Laios is gonna have a real hard time, politically, with dwarves post canon. I think it's established that dwarves have the most beef with elves (though this might also apply to gnomes to a lesser extent, given Tansu's opinions) and I'm sure they would have their hackles raised over the continent chocked full of concentrated mana that suddenly appeared from the depths due to ancient magic right after the Canaries went in and fucked around.
Worse, the king's court magician is a half elf, and his royal advisor, once they get intel on him, will turn out to be some tallman elf pet straight from the elven capital. And their court was established with a live-in elven ambassador (Pattadol) from day one. Just like in the canon timeline, a bunch of completely innocent circumstances have converged to paint a horribly suspicious picture. The Golden Country folks are gonna have a hell of a time convincing the world that they're not an elven puppet-state. This is designed to give Kabru a chronic migraine.

Like Bethesda definitely has its problems with how they handle racism and other social issues; but something I do appreciate is that at least in Skyrim & Fallout 4 they aren't forcing you to side with the Stormcloaks or the Brotherhood the way that Inquisition practically forces you to restore the Country to full power. Of course the fact that there's so many one eyed Bioware fans ready to defend it at every turn and lap up the crap that they're served uncritically isn't doing them any favours..
I have no idea what the fuck was going on in Bioware especially during DA:I era, they tried so hard to white wash the objectively bad guys, adding forced grey morality and then doubled down on it to the point the narrative trying gaslighting us with the whole: the bad guys are not that bad and the oppressed are just whining
( it happened to DA2 as well but not as bad as DAI, still I'll never forgive what they did to make Anders and Orsino looks bad )
Bethesda however, they tried to tackle the issues, botched it on some places then kinda gave up and either brush those issues under the rug or give it to us half baked
Tbh i don't really like how the railroads was presented in fallout 4, they got shitted on and painted in a bad light but over all fallout and TES are less frustrating than DA because I don't think Bethesda tried to double down like Bioware, doesn't mean they are good tho.
Skyrim actually did the whole pragmatic choice and narrative better than DAI.
Mother fucking Skyrim did it better, it's a divine comedy
Ps. I'll never forgive what happened to Orsino, him turned into a monster to make the mage looks bad is not canon, fuck that shit, Orsino is not a monster. I'll never forgive bioware for keep shitting on anders as well

Hhhmmm I am thinking of a dungeon meshi au for the NHO in which Etho is a tall-man mage, Beef is a bull beastkin, Bdubs is a dwarf, and Doc is a centaur of some kind...
The group journeys too deep and end up fighting a dragon and Etho gets eaten by the beast right after using a teleportation spell to send the rest of them out of the dungeon, just like in the series itself.
Iskall would be the Senshi-like character who lives in the dungeon, I think. He knows everything there is to know about the dungeon and is more than willing to help them retrieve Etho. He is also a dwarf.
Canaries Gem, Pearl, False, and Grian...
Cleo taking the Kabru role...
Mad soccer/Dungeon master Scar...

Wait a high-level druid elf can live up to 7000 years old???? And we're still questioning if we have people from the Age of Arcanum in Exandria??
