After he got crowned, Danny started to clean up in the Ghost Zone. One thing he found was an empty lair. An elegant room full of books with a fireplace and comfy armchairs. A ghost was tied to this place, but he never saw them. But he still could feel that the lair was tied to someone, what meant that the ghost didn't end to exist.

It took some time, but Danny was able to follow the bond from the lair to the ghost. He found himself back in the mortal realm and his first thought was that the ghost got somehow stuck here.

So the plan was to find him and bring him back to the zone. Except as soon as Danny made the plan, he should have known that nothing ever goes according to plan for him.

The bond lead him to a young man with black hair that had a white stripe in it. And the man was very much alive, but also didn't seem to be possessed. But he also absolutely felt like the lair.

Invisible Danny followed the guy around and he found out quite a few things.

His name was Jason Peter Todd.

He lives in Gotham.

He is the vigilante/crime lord Red Hood.

He came back from the dead as a revenant.

He got dipped into some corrupted ectoplasm.

He had sever anger issues because of that.

So... Danny made another plan. Jazz had told him about emotional support dogs, because she liked to work with them. And Danny was pretty sure that it shouldn't be to hard to train a ghost dog to do all of this.

It was a nightmare to train Cujo, but after almost six month he was positive that it would work. He took Cujo with him to Gotham and waited till he had a moment where he got Red Hood alone.

The first thing that happened after he made himself visible but not tangible, was that Hood shot him. Like, rude. But because of that he was here.

"Hello. My name is High King Phantom of the Infinite Realms and I am here to give you your prescribed emotional support ghost Dog. His name is Cujo!"

Oh- I'll give you everything about this AU!! I have how many ideas and plots!! But I really remind you all that if you want to watch Danny Phantom, I don't recommend reading discussion about AU is because it will contain spoilers about the series as well as a bit of the latest comic Danny Phantom, which was just released 2 weeks ago!!

If you ask "wait you can make fanfic?!" Well I can but I'm not sure I can execute the story well :( !!! I mostly just conceptualize AU just for fun so if you want to use this idea i allow you- just credit me please.

Plot idea simply:

yo Wilbur is only 16 years old and he is half dead from an accident in the ghost portal. trying to feel alive in a half-ghost state, becoming an impromptu super hero, trying to adjust to the life of ghosts & humans- having internal conflicts with his parents who are hunting for his ghost side as well as conflicts with his younger brother Tommy. Everthing passed then Quackity appeared in his life. Q who is annoyed at her because he & his 'dragon' destroyed his love life & tried to kill Wilbur ghost side, one day they are then forced together in a school project and then learn about each other and start to get close (on the human side only) time passes and Quackity still hunting for Wilbur, a bored Wilbur offers something to Q "How do we become Psycho competitive rivals??? Instead of hunting me how do we fight who can catch and beat more ghosts!" and Q are hesitant at first but he accepts it- they develop more maybe they turn into boyfriend :³???

Fine let me explain. Danny & Wilbur have a lot in common.

C!Wilbur & Danny experience the butterfly effect and their lives are inversely proportional because of that, Wilbur loses everything just by losing the election while Danny loses everything by cheating on the C.A.T exam & ends in a bang.

Danny: VLAD! please get rid of the MY ghost side! They must agree too!!

Wilbur: PHIL! kill me! Kill me! They will definitely agree!!

(I kinda forgot how the dialogue was sorry)

Well in the end Wilbur & human side Danny died. Leaving their ghost side… Then they came back to life.

I'm not sure whether to make Dan/Dark Danny in this AU?? It will be a heavy & complex plot, if you don't know Dan is a fusion of ghost Danny & Vlad also the 'evil' & depressed version… In his timeline he destroys the whole world and tries to kill Valerie for getting in his way btw- so in the latest comic he is back and at the end becomes an emo teenager in Danny's clone body that Vlad made.

Let talking about Quackity!!

Quackity plays as Valerie in this AU!!! In the original version, Valerie's life was destroyed by Danny & Cujo (ghost dog) who messed up where Valerie's father worked so that her father was fired and sold their house easily, causing Valerie to hate ghosts, especially Danny & Cujo, got ghost hunting equipment from Vlad Master Valerie became a ghost hunter and exterminated them also tried to kill Danny's ghost side but over time their relationship grew more complex over time especially in the season 2 especially, they even had a date!! It's canon!! But unfortunately they also broke up in the same episode… And since then Valerie was forgotten and only appeared in 3 episodes in the third season…

Quackity's story will be a bit different from Valerie to than the ghost dog what about the ghost dragon?! Well the canon dragon in Danny Phantom with the Amulet of Aragon ghost/human can turn into a ghost dragon when angry or strong emotions— I thought it was great how can include Qsmp, its members & the dragon eggs in this AU ahaha ^^

So the story goes:

Quackity was so happy to be able to ask his boyfriend to go date (I have no idea who) they really love the date but Wilbur & the 'dragon' completely destroy their dating in restaurant, Q has a big fight with his boyfriend and they end up breaking up on the restaurant in middle of all people. Quackity experienced severe stress and started to hate ghosts then someone gave him a gift, a ghost hunting tool. Quackity started his career as a ghost hunter-

I wish we got to see more Danny & Cujo. Danny training him and going into fights with him and also having a little ghost buddy that's liminal just like him. A good soft boy. Danny’s emotional support hellhound.

Maybe he keeps Cujo a secret from his parents. Maybe he convinces them Cujo is innocuous, or that he can help with ghost hunting, and it's a first step in getting them to warm up to ghosts. Maybe he figures out a way to disguise Cujo as a living dog. I am demanding the Cujo content I deserve

Day 3: Mistake.

Danny feels the slap before he even registered what happened, turning his head back to Valerie’s tear stained face he puts his had up to his sore cheek and just blinks at her. He and Valarie both stare at each other in silence for what feels like eternity, at least it does for Danny he can’t really tell what valarie is thinking.

 "You’re disgusting!“ Her shout is so loud it makes danny physically recoil away, "How can you possibly even truly believe you are ‘good’ let alone a 'hero’” Valarie makes quotation marks with her hands when she says both good and hero. “You run around causing havoc and expect us humans to what? WORSHIP YOU!!?” Her voice is now coming out bordering on hysterical. 

“That’s insane! You are insane! You do realise you are EVIL!” Danny just continues to stand there looking st Valarie as she shouts in his face slowly getting closer and closer until she’s right up almost nose to nose. She takes in a deep breath and Danny feels her exhale and prepared for the onslaught of words about to come, except it doesn’t. Instead she let’s out a huge sob that shakes her whole body and pushes at Danny’s chest as hard as she can, the force only makes Danny take a small step back which makes Valarie angrier as she keeps pushing at him even though it’s doing nothing now Danny’s prepared for the force. 

“YOU… YOU.. YO… you..” She let’s out a huge scream and turns away from Danny so fast her hair hits his face, “You ruined my life you know.” He hears her sniff but stays quiet and let’s Valarie keep talking. "Not just my life, my father too.“ letting out a bitter laugh she faces Danny again and shouts. "WHAT YOU HAVE NOTHING TO SAY?" 

"It was a mistake." 

"A MISTAKE? Is that all it was to you?” Shaking her head she glares back and keeps going. “ I have to work at the Nasty Burger to help support my dad, we can barely afford rent or even food for the both of us and it’s just a mistake to you." 

"Okay I worded that wrong." 

"You are unbelievable!" 

"Valarie Cujo Is not my dog. He was a guard dog for the company your dad used to work for and he was just looking for his toy.” Danny kept eye contact the whole time and spoke evenly so his words came across clearly. "I wouldn’t do that on purpose you have to know that.“ 

"Even if that was true, and don’t think for a second that I actually believe that bullshit story, you’ve done more evil things! It’s not just a one time thing Phantom. It’s a pattern." 

"All of the things I’ve done can be explained, Valarie I am not evil and all ghosts aren’t evil either. We’re just like humans we feel emotions and pain, yes some of us are bad but so are some humans! You can’t possibly think just because we’re dead it makes us all somehow evil. ”

“When you die it twists your mind and makes you no longer human! Of course all ghost are evil and the Fentons have evidence to prove that ghost don’t really feel anything! " 

Danny has to take a breath to calm himself before he could reply so he doesn’t end up shouting. "So you’re stupid enough to let a human tell you what a ghost feels? How many ghosts do you actually know? I can guarantee I’ve met more than you and the ones I’ve met are mostly amazing people." 

"You could be lying to me, how am I supposed to know -" 

"Exactly you DON’T KNOW! You know nothing about ghosts and how we behave let alone how we feel, Valarie please I know you’re smart enough to understand." 

"That doesn’t change what I’ve seen.” Putting her head in her hands Valarie goes quite. Waiting a few minutes she begins to talk again, "You have ten seconds.“ Pulling out a small ecto gun she loads it up which causes a loud hum to vibrant through the street. 

” Wait Valarie -“ 

"one." 

"Come on you don’t need to-" 

"two… Three." 

Danny flies up and looks back at Valarie and just hovers there for a few seconds. 

"seven… Eight… Nine." 

Aiming the gun Valarie pulls the trigger and slightly scratches Danny on his shoulder which causes him to turn and fly away with the last word echoing behind him. 

"TEN."

Maddie dropped the piece of paper onto the workbench. Jack frowned at the distraction, turning away from his microscope and picking it up. “What is it?” he asked, smoothing out the buckled edge where it had been torn from a notebook. She stayed quiet as he read, clasping her hands to hide their trembling as her husband’s face bloomed in horrific realisation.

“It was in Danny’s sock drawer,” she said once he had had time to read it. Jack continued to stare at the paper, eyes moving up and down as though reading it several times. She waited until he finally looked up. “What do you think it means?”

Jack shifted on his stool, pushing it away from the bench. The legs screeched along the tiles, and he gingerly handed the paper back to her. The smile was gone from his eyes. “Mads-”

She clenched her fingers around the list, its crinkling oddly satisfying. “I know,” she snapped, the pity in his tone too much for her to keep listening to. “But why does he still need human things? Why can he even look human?”

Jack was sagging, shoulders low and hands loose and empty. It mirrored the hopelessness in his expression. “I don’t know,” he said, voice hollow, “but he’s a ghost.”

The words slammed into her, and Maddie felt herself begin to shake her head. “It doesn’t make sense,” she choked, a sob forcing its way through her lips. She clenched the paper tighter. “It’s impossible.”

Jack reached for her, and Maddie folded into him. “I’m a terrible mother!” she wailed, pressing her face into his chest while he stroked her hair.

Jack made small shushing noises, his arms safe and firm around her. He was shaking as well, sniffing as he tucked his chin over her head.

Neither of them spoke as their world rocked. Maddie felt like everything had been torn away from her, her only link to the truth clutched in her hand. She pulled away from Jack and wiped her nose on her sleeve, uncurling the paper and looking at it again. “He… He’s hidden stuff in the walls,” she said, the words thick and nasal. “Things that would be incriminating?”

Jack pulled an ectoblaster from its holster at his hip. His mouth was a grim slash, eyes darker than Maddie had ever seen them. “I’ll start in his room,” he said, brushing past her and heading towards the stairs.

“Mind the house support beams,” Maddie called after him, re-reading the list yet again with a frown. It was definitely her son’s handwriting, far sloppier than usual. The paper was smudged and words had been crossed out and re-written, and down near the bottom of the sheet there were the telltale signs of teardrops.

The house shook with the sound of an explosion, fine streams of dust trickling from seams in the ceiling. If they were wrong about all of this, Danny was going to be furious when he came home to find one of his bedroom walls in splinters.

Jack’s feet were heavy above her, and he strode down the lab’s stairs a moment later. In his hands were two things that sent panic shooting through her veins. She stuffed the paper into her pocket and took the items from him, trying not the overreact. She ran her fingers over an old cassette tape from when they had actually had a security system, before it had broken to the point of being irreparable. It had happened shortly after the portal started working, and they had always blamed invading ghosts.

The other item was a plain notebook, with a note scribbled on the front in black marker. The handwriting matched the list in her pocket – Diary. Don’t read!

She looked up at Jack. “This was it?”

He shook his head. The pain in his expression had dulled, eyebrows drawn together in confusion. “There was a pile of blasters,” he said, “and some ectoplasm containers, along with a first aid kit and the broken Ghost Gabber.”

She hefted the tape in her hand, feeling the weight. It was as though everything rested on this one little thing. “Does the old VCR still work?”

Jack nodded. “I used it the other day to watch those old research tapes again,” he said, heading over so a small television in the corner of the lab.

Maddie followed him, passing the tape back and chewing on her lip as Jack slipped it into the empty slot.

It was time to find out what was really wrong with their son.

And then after they figure it out they decide that instead of confronting Danny about it they try to make true all of the things on the list that they can but pretend to remain clueless. They even put the list back in his sock drawer, fresh laundry carefully placed on top.

So finding the things in the wall? “Oh Danny, did you know that we caught a ghost hiding stuff inside the structure of our house? You’d better watch for that haha, you wouldn’t want them to put YOU there!”

Jack waits in the bathroom, deliberately standing in the empty shower with the curtain drawn closed when he knows that Phantom has just finished a fight. Soon enough Danny flies in and transforms, and Jack simply pushes back the curtain as his son jumps clear into the air for a moment in fright. “Hiya son, could you help me hunt these ectospiders? I saw some in here this morning.” Danny nopes out of there so fast…

They install security cameras EVERYWHERE and make sure Danny sees them doing it. He keeps sabotaging them. They keep fixing them. He doesn’t know how they haven’t seen him transform yet. (Hint: they have…)

They still haven’t figured out the ‘Technus’ thing, whatever that is, so Jack just named their new security cemeras The Fenton Technus System TM. Danny is super confused.

Maddie catches Phantom in a net at least once a week. She rigs them where she knows Danny will be, but is always SO clumsy that she 'accidentally’ lets him loose whenever she tries to move him to better containment. (Danny might just be starting to get suspicious)

Maddie photoshops pictures of Phantom doing normal things, like eating cereal or lying on their couch where Danny likes to rest. She says it’s to help them be more aware of the possibility of ghosts around them. Danny starts losing sleep because he can’t figure out what the hell is going on.

Jack finds Wes’ Fenton/Phantom conspiracy page and deliberately leaves it up on the family computer’s screen. Danny isn’t seen for almost three days after that. For some reason, Phantom suddenly becomes very camera-shy.

The ghost list in Danny’s diary mentioned that Cujo was a ghost dog, so the Fentons decide to adopt a shelter puppy (for ghost hunting purposes, of course). Maddie names it Cujo, a wicked glint in her eye as Danny’s face goes so pale that she thinks he might faint.

They can’t do much about the Guys in White, and they really don’t want to risk anything terrible happening to their son (whose 'ghost’ is seeming more and more skittish and less and less threatening every day), so Maddie and Jack dress up in white suits one day and talk at the dinner table about how they’re hopefully going to be joining the greatest ghost hunting organisation ever! (Danny has no clue that they’re talking about his team)

One morning, when Danny doesn’t look as exhausted as he usually does, Maddie tells him that she saw Phantom walk through their front door and up the stairs the previous evening. She apparently didn’t have a gun with her, and she’d been so shocked that by the time she reacted, the ghost was already gone. (Danny remembers how quiet she was when he got home the night before. He swallows his spoon as the realisation hits him. He has no idea that it didn’t actually happen.)

The next one is a bit more difficult, but Maddie and Jack doggedly follow Phantom every night for a week while he patrols the town. One night he literally turns back into their son in front of them, but they were standing off to the side, so when they blow it off like nothing happened he just assumed that they didn’t see him.

Jack calls Vlad one day, wailing about why he didn’t TELL him?!?! (He’s talking about Vlad not joining them for Christmas. Danny thinks it’s something else entirely.)

Every time Danny gets the hiccups, Jack presses a button that sets off the house’s ghost alarms. When Danny looks away at the commotion he uses a new little spray gun to blast a bit of dry ice over the surface of whatever Danny had been facing, covering it in a thin layer of frost. The wild terror in Danny’s eyes is almost funny, but Maddie thinks that maybe they’ve taken this whole joke a bit too far.

Jack keeps saying that all ghosts are edible and that Maddie should grind them up and use them to make fudge because of ectoplasm’s viscosity. She pretends to actually try it. Cue Danny trying to save them from what he perceives as sheer stupidity. (He steals the entire platter of fudge when Jack tries to have a slice and yells at his parents for almost giving themselves a lethal dose of ectoplasm poisoning. Later that night Phantom is seen sitting on top of the Ops Center eating the fudge, and looking very confused when it’s obviously not glowing in the middle.)

They say that they’ve made a helmet that can read ghosts’ thoughts. Jack jams a normal motorcycle helmet from the shed onto Danny’s head before the poor guy can escape, and asks with a frown why Danny is thinking about Phantom.

It’s been a month, and Danny’s starting to show cracks. It wasn’t what they’d intended to happen, but he’s visibly stressed all the time and jumps at every noise. They decide it’s finally enough, so one day when he gets home from school, they pretend he’s invisible for ten minutes. Jack almost blows it by acting like he can’t hear his son either, but Maddie has a fake panic episode and clutches her 'invisible’ son close to her with big 'sobs’ until Jack can stop quietly laughing into his gloves. It’s sort of like a prank video that Danny had once showed them, but he really begins to freak out, and Maddie finally can’t stop herself from laughing. Danny’s so confused and stressed, and his eyes and freckles have started to glow really brightly with emotion, and it’s that strangeness of glowing freckles that finally tips everything over the edge. They tell him between bursts of laughter what’s been going on for the past month, and Danny isn’t sure whether to laugh or cry as everything finally makes sense.
