The Safe Approach for Metaphysics

Cycles: Monitoring your mood and knowing your cycles. Meeting emotional and physical well-being. Keep track of yourself and those needs.

Mindfulness: How you treat yourself as an individual, but also how you are towards other people. Take care of yourself. Remember self-care comes first. 

Gratitude: Be kind to yourself and open to other people. We are not all the same and will have different opinions and perceptions regarding magic and energy work.

Grounding Techniques: Don't forget to ground your energies to keep yourself feeling more stabilized. There are many different techniques one can utilize for themselves. Meditations, Walking Meditations, Taking Showers, Immersing Yourself in Nature, Listening to Inspiring Music, etc.

Studies: When you feel down, I suggest taking time to yourself to relax, but if there is a need to study then I suggest looking into different topics of interest. Don't try to force yourself into doing anything that day if you can't.

Meditation: This has mixed reviews because meditation is supposed to be for centering and grounding your energies into relaxation. However, if a practitioner is having a bad mental health day, they might lack the necessary focus. I feel if one is going to take this route then perhaps do a moving meditation instead where focus is put into an activity that is thoroughly enjoyed.

What To Avoid During Instability

Evocation: It is best to do this when you are not in a weakened emotional, mental state. If one allows an entity into them during these times, they are allowing this to happen, and the consequences would be on the individual in question.

Why allow a spirit into your energies and/or space for it to possibly take hold and cause any unnecessary damage?

Ritual: Ceremonial practices should be avoided. These certain practices can cause more stress as it takes a lot of time, energy, and careful planning is essential when demonstrating ritual work.

If goals are in place of where one wants to be, why not make it more focused on one’s physical needs?

Energy and Exchange: To help others, one must first help themselves. To exchange or trade energies or give it away to others during times of stress is not a good idea because it will make healing yourself in the long run more difficult and take more time. This might also cause the person receiving your energies some issues as well causing a negative reaction.
