This is my favorite revolution song. It was first sung by culture and art students in Tehran. Others soon started to sing it. These days you hear this everywhere in iran.
I wrote this letter for you, from the ground of the cold alleys, with my red blood, so that the laughter would grow from the pain
As another day comes, my soul is the life of the green grass
The eternal sun of freedom is the light of our sky
I swear by the blood of my allies, I swear by the tears of mothers
Our eternal cry will never be cut by their blade
We are the flood of November blood, mixed with injustice
Our only sin was the roar of anger in answer to feud
My defenseless body and soul are the target of oppressors' arrows
I am glorified and proud of our revolution
I swear to the lovers of Iran, I swear to the fervor of Zahedan
I will not go back until the day of the usurper's departure
I swear by the blood of my allies, I swear by the tears of mothers
Our eternal cry will never be cut by their blade
💚🤍❤️

Had to share this video to show you how beautiful and culturally rich Palestine is. These are the cities of Palestine and their names. Despite the destruction and death, we still have hope. And we will survive this 🙏🇵🇸
It's a beautiful country full of beautiful people, and we deserve to live, frankly.

Olive Branch
youtube
Words aren't enough, what else can I say? My tears have dried out, and my heart is broken I'm far away, but I'm praying for you And I'm sending peace, on an olive branch I'm far away, but I'm praying for you And I'm sending peace, on an olive branch In the land of peace, peace is dead And the world is sleeping on a hurt child

have you seen the most recent twitter discourse on whether criston is """really""" dornish or not?
i don’t have a twitter account + don’t keep up w hotd discourse on there, no. i’m curious how the casting call, website character profile, fabien interviews, and the decision to make the first thing a main character says about him ‘gods he’s dornish’ could have been unclear. purely in terms of utility would love to know why people think they keep reiterating it if he isn’t meant to be dornish it seems like inefficient writing

The issues & beauties of German music
(70s Kraut Rock )
Here, NOT ONE SINGLE SOUL talks about Krautrock 🌿 it seems like dead & forgotten (except CAN)
which is sad about this phenomenon :/ the only ones paying attention are prog magazines and music connoisseurs
Everyone talks about the Scorpions and Rammstein (in fact it's quality). Sometimes Boney M but... it's always the same: good music is too elite for the masses.
Even the band Eloy. Prog fans love them- the most listeners come from other places of the earth but not their origin country. Often a fault of the music industry, critics as well as the radio stations which really neglected these now in modern times.
//
The rhymes & language, pronunciation
Sure, worse languages exist. But to be honest, can you relax, with the German language? There's no flow at all, nothing like Italian or, you know, English. It's a popular opinion and what speaks against it?
Depends on the way someone sings and per region there is a difference but some harshness is always there.
//
Sung in English example: Eloy (again)
Some people are totally fine with the accent (their whole discography is in English sung by Frank Bornemann!!) others have problems getting into this band. Depends on the listener.
What often happened was that the groups had a British singer...
//
Tumblr media
Old fashioned names
For example British rock: someone asks you, you say your idol is some random Jeff or Pete or whatever their names are. What about German musician's names? They're called Dieter or Jogi or Herbert or Udo
"Who's your favourite musician?" - Jürgen xy (sorry shouldn't sound mean)
People make jokes about old fashioned names, then why blaming yourself and getting sideeyed.
This is all a matter of coolness, let's move to the music...
//
A few information
Okay don't judge (seems extremely stereotype now) the people, musicians of the 60s and 70s were the first generation after WW2. You can imagine. The children of ex- patriots. They wanted to change something. BUT!! They were BOUND in the roots of their country.
There was a scene and later with many students and discotheques. There were artists from all over the world. The music is innovative and you can hear it even clearly. You can also hear their protest, spirit and the diversity of sounds.
There is nothing you can call THE Kraut. It's practically impossible to sum the sound up. Actually it's not a genre. That one word represents all the music made in Germany
//
An example.
You hear the instruments? The bass, drums, hard guitar, organs, saxophone EVERYTHING WORKS. SO FINE MUSIC.
Listen to it, create your own opinion.
Notes
1. So many songs by this one group called Lied des Teufels? Yeah. They're not known at all. That singer sounds like imitating Ian Gillan- Everyone can TRY to copy but they do it in their own style which is not copying, it's storytelling. (Kind of)
2. THE WHOLE THING SHOULD NOT MAKE ME SEEM PASSIONATE OR SOMETHING BECAUSE I DISCOVERED KRAUT LITERALLY YESTERDAY
3. Probably it's something that gets boring really fast
//
So...
Skillful musicians w/ ability to express themselves and the problems of their country. Wether the singing style is something for you or not- there are countless of other groups.
We HAVE TO speak about these forgotten acts again & give it a chance

Aife. Aife, stop. Aife, you don't need to rework the entirety of westerosi world building so it makes sense language wise. Aife. It's already enough you're digging through the impact the whacked climate has on agriculture and on what crops can realistically evolve there. Aife. STOP.
@lemonhemlock @lurkingcrow @branwendaughterofllyr @calyssmarviss @duxbelisarius
Please, save me from this gargantuan task.

Random observation while listening to the FF9 OST. The track Eternal Harvest that plays over that scene of Freya joining the Cleyrans in their protection ritual is absolutely gorgeous, but I wish my memory of it wasn’t that awkwardly mocap-ed scene and was a cinematic instead. It had the potential to be a lot more powerful if given the weightiness of a cinematic, and ofc is Freya had been more fleshed out instead of having her arc come to a dead stop in the middle of the 3rd disc.
Freya and Garnet are both great conduits to explore the devastation that Kuja left in his wake on a personal level. But while Garnet is through the eyes of a young woman struggling as a leader against such incredible odds, Freya had the potential to be a great exploration of the more personal and cultural aspect of that destruction. Her people are already appeared to be a somewhat disliked minority, which is what made them an easy first target for Brahne compared to her in-laws in Lindblum. And unlike Alexandria and Lindblum where despite their state, it’s implied that the kingdoms are still fit to rebuild, the Burmecians are really fucked over. Their country was the first to be attacked and therefore didn’t have time to prepare, and then the other Burmecian state of Cleyra where most of the refugees fled to was DISINTEGRATED.
Like Freya might be the character with the most baggage to explore. After witnessing the ruins of Burmecia she comes to this ancient bastion of her people, and despite not fully respecting their distinct way of life, she partakes in their ritual, hoping it will be able to protect the last of them. And then not even an hour later, right from under her that citadel is literally wiped off the face of the earth. It’s haunting to think about, and I deeply wish it could have been explored beyond just a bit of her grieving before launching into more shenanigans.
Not that her being forced to so quickly move on isn’t powerful in itself, but I wish there was more EMPHASIS. Emphasis that could have come from a beautifully directed cinematic of that ritual she performed in vain. Able to visually represent that fragile, majestic hope the track accompanying it conveys.

#this is vee speaking#the best part of the abema programs tho is the segment where the seiyuu need to guess the song based on how badly someone is singing lol#ig abema be finding anybody on the street or something because they got a bunch of foreigners and i think told them to sing a hypmic song#but sing like they forgor the words lmao#like one dude was so fcking good at not sounding good#i was genuinely impressed that iwasaki-san was able to tell wtf they were attempting to sing lol#i got the bat related songs tho LMAO 😌 and an mtc song too lol and it happened to be one of my most listened to songs last year lol#takeuchi-san stans mtr music (always fine taste) and it showed lol he got every single mtr song lmao#anyway???? geez lol????#idk how to translate ‘治安の悪さ’ without being really ethnic about it lmao#so i settled on ‘dangerous appeal’ lol but essentially because it’s mtc the venue vibes were dangerous#not because the venue/crowd itself was dangerous!!!!! that’s just mtc!!!! lol like that#‘a comedy trio’ is ‘manzai trio’ jsyk lol#and ‘it’s a lot but it’s fun anyways’ isn’t a negative point lol bat just has a lot going on all the time but that’s what makes them fun#is what that means lol#i’m posting this to hold myself accountable next week this falls on jyushi’s bday#so i can’t forget about bb fp because i’m souped up on jyushi day lol i’m not allowed to forget because then the lives happen and bruh lmao#c: seiyuu stuff
