Huh, I just noticed something. The majority it seems, at least according to the characters mentioned in the notes and tags of that post, to be headcanoned to be trans (the gender they are in canon) are characters who are guys in canon being headcanoned as transmasc. And now come think of it, I dont remember the last time I saw a character that isn't a guy in canon be headcanoned as a trans guy. Meanwhile trans fem headcanons are a lot of the time appled to characters who are guys in canon (not always! Trans Noelle Holiday comes to mind), so that's a thought. Not sure what it means or if my observations are even correct, but it's something.

i think you made a good observation, it's just a matter of what angle you approach it with: characters with contested trans headcanons (male AND female) tend to be men in the source material because statistically those are the characters that get the most fandom attention

While it's not for a while yet (probably not until Underline the Black is finished), I do have a feeling we'll start seeing his perspective eventually, which I'm really looking forward to. He's one of those 'doesn't let on everything he's thinking/feeling' characters, similar to Ash in some ways.

Ram is a great liar! Lying is a sort of a fun social game to him (as is flirting. or joking). If Ram was a POV character in a story he'd be quite an unreliable narrator, because he would definitely make shit up to make the story more exciting. Usually the less he trusts the person the more he lies to them. 

And if not being honest to strangers is more of a job requirement/safety measure, than if he feels the need to lie to people he loves- that will be about his well being/health. He's one of those ppl who will cheerfully tell you they're fine to try and not make you worry even if they're obviously falling apart, you see

[27] Do they have any scars, how did they get them and how do they feel about them?  He’s got some noticeable ones from being shanked or perhaps shived on multiple occasions in prison. Missing hand can count as a scar, I think. Ram lost it during one of his escape attempts and I didn’t think of a specific situation, but  the general gist is that it was either crushed by some mechanism or violently torn off, and this damage was very preventable if only he wasn’t trying to fiercely break free from whatever he was trapped at the moment. Kind of a “trapped animal chewed off its limb to break free” situation, but instead of freedom he became a laughing stock for the wardens, got a long time in solitary confinement, no fingers and a healing by a very uncaring hands.

Also he’s got some scars from one time he was bitten by a dog. He feels bitter and angry about all the stuff he got in captivity and doesn't like to talk about it, so folks that inquire about it will either get a fake story (new one every time) if he's in the good mood, or his go-to joke for every injury- that he got it while shaving. When he was a kid he loved to sleep all curled up in a ball in some tight space, and is not happy that now his horns and overall complexion make this impossible. And when Ram was living on the streets he got a habit of sleeping in a sitting position, hugging his backpack, ready to jump and run at any suspicious sound.

Ram's also been a very light sleeper since childhood. “Wakes up if a person sleeping in the same room changed their breathing pattern” kind of light sleeper. So his sleeping habits boil down to “staying awake by all means ‘till he literally collapses out of exhaustion and physically can’t wake up”. And his favorite sleeping position is “whatever, hope I won’t wake up with a terrible neck pain because of the stupid horns”. As for sleeping with someone- he’s very, very, a snuggler))

Enid is the worst character in the show, such a tired cliché “the quirky happy person is friends with the broody cynical goth”

I had high hopes when she first appeared onscreen because I thought they were gonna recreate the Wednesday — Amanda Buckman dynamic, but alas...they had to make Enid some cookie cutter Rainbow Sprite bitch. Also a literal stereotype of a dumb blonde who runs a gossip blog but can't spell the names of the people she gossips about and also sucks so bad at sniffing out gossip/secrets that she didn't have a fucking clue that there was a 'secret society' on campus. These are canon facts bruhs.

I think it would've been more interesting if they had made Enid a stuck up bitch who had to come to her own type of friendship terms. That Weems forced the pair because she knew Enid was a stuck up bitch who no one wanted to room with, which was fine because she didn't want to room with anyone else either. Not so much a foil to Wednesday as a mirror, where they would both stumble sometime and have to find their way back towards cooperation and friendship. Mean!Enid..."Meanid" LOL — who is also a bit of a snot because of the way she's treated at home by Esther (so that hasn't really changed, the change would be in how Enid copes with it).

Ooooh, see, now that's fertile ground for a Wenclair situation since that's serious Enemies to Lovers and they'd both be all that the other person really had, given Meanid's reputation. And no one said she couldn't still be into rainbows. It would just make it even more obnoxious, which would be good for the satire when they're both competing to see who can be the bigger shit to the other. I was surprised too! My aunt said while filling out the recipe that taking them with food might make it easier on my system (as well as easier to remember!) but then the pharmacist instructed me to take them at least an hour before or two hours after a meal. The leaflet agrees with the pharmacist, so I'm following that advice.

Anyway it's Tikacillin, which seems to be phenoxymethylpenicillin!

I just got into Exile tribe as a whole. I love it here, btw lol. But I have a question: What do you mean by "the musha shugyo did cause a collective mental breakdown"

I noticed The Rampage debuted but then was put on a hiatus. Is that the main reason? Or was a reason given?

Hello! Welcome, glad you're here and enjoying it 😊

Due their intensive training, the musha shugyo, before the final line up was decided, they all thought members would be cut. It wasn't clear how large the intended lineup was and how many candidates would be kept.

The vocalists especially thought only two would be in the final line up, because Exile Tribe had never had more than two vocalists to a group before - Exile, Exile the Second, JSB3 and GENE were the only other groups at the time and they were all the twin vocal set up. [random aside - While Exile flirts with being a three/four vocal group occasionally, that's a very recent development.]

So the members were living together in the dorms and competing with each other (so they believed) for a final spot in the line up. Considering they were teenagers, for the most part, at the time, that's a lot of stress for a bunch of kids to be under.

Likiya was 23. Zin turned 20 not long before the intensive training started. And those are the oldest two! There were four birthdays during the musha shugyo - Makoto turned 16, Riku turned 20, Rui turned 19, and Ryu turned 16. Takahide and Takuma did not turn 16 until after the line up was finalized. They were both 15 the whole time

Because they were under so much stress, in such a "You're living with and fighting with these boys for your future" way, as essentially teenagers, they - didn't know if they wanted to continue being in the Rampage even after the lineup was finalized. That was part of the hiatus, from finalized lineup to debut, was they sent everyone back home, the members picked up jobs at EXPG schools and other places, and had to decide if they wanted to keep going, if they wanted to stay the Rampage. All three vocalists apparently told their parents they wanted to quit.

Thankfully, they decided to stick together, but that - wasn't a guarantee, as far as I can tell.

Since Riku is my boy, I've spent a lot of time poking around and he brings up being thankful that he didn't quit in a few places, and I found a voice clip that was subtitled in Japanese, which I transcribed and threw into a machine translator:

The Rampage is 16, you can't take away one and still have the Rampage. Now I feel there's less of an emphasis on being 16 and they seem to be branching out individually more.

But, yeah. They had a group mental breakdown because they thought they were competing with each other for space in the final group.
