Love your Tom blyth fics an unhealthy amount!!! I’m picturing reader and Tom being all lovey dovey at the premiers but playing it off as really good bestfriends UNTIL she goes to kiss him on the cheek and in instinct he turns his head to kiss her on the lips so they just say fuck it and hard launch there and then x
"An unplanned situation."
pairing: tom blyth x actress!reader
summary: a small gesture, with a sweet intention, revealed a promising secret.
word count: 1.359!
notes: i started this request in the morning and only had the opportunity to finish it a few minutes ago, forgive me for that, anon! — i hope you like it and of course, feel free to share ideas with me!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Y/N, look here!"
Another request, among others, screams and countless flashes, was directed to you; being, theoretically, almost impossible to identify who had demanded your image. — There were so many voices mixing, not to mention the music in the background, but, you tried your best to pay attention to most of the cameras.
However, it wasn't anything you weren't used to; something that has already been normalized in your life.— And during the premiere of The ballad of songbirds and snake it was no different, and it was splendid; simply perfect. — Not to mention, the feeling of gratitude that grew in your chest.
Cameras and cell phones captured your every movement, your poses and the way your perfectly chosen dress was valued and highlighted on your body. — And how it matched the color palette of the film. — Everything was being recorded, at the exact moment, posted and commented on all social networks.
You had the opportunity to meet, talk and take photos with some of the cast. — It was so pleasant, the company and unity that everyone developed during the filming of the film was inexplicable and so adorable; you were grateful to have worked with so many talented people. — There were some people who were absent, until now, in your eyes, but you would definitely meet them again on the carpet.
And, of course, your eyes roamed the decorated room, matching the elements of the film, and crowded in search of a specific person. — It wasn't exaggerated words to say that you were starting to feel uncomfortable because he was missed; and the cameras recorded it. — Silent questions, which would be written, formed in the minds of the presenters and photographers.
Your boyfriend had yet to appear on the red carpet; perhaps he is giving a quick and curious interview or greeting someone. — That's what was going on in your head.
You and Tom had a secret relationship, ever since you met behind the scenes, in front of the world and all the cameras that may exist in it; something that was so risky and at the same time adventurous. — And that, as incredible as it might seem, you knew how to disguise it in front of your fans; even though they gradually became suspicious with comments, interactions and behind-the-scenes photos.
They were either smart or you and Tom were too far over the line. — This question was not important or essential for the moment. — And you considered each other best friends for interviews or responses to comments; you tried your best.
And so, Rachel sent countless screenshots of tweets, which talked about or mentioned the relationship between you and Tom, to you. — It's impossible to deny how funny it was.
Persisting in continuing to look for him and for a few seconds, your eyes meet his blue and so charming irises. — Its shade of blue was a magnificent and beautiful combination; something you would never get tired of admiring. —And there was no other thing, or anyone, that could take his eyes off you.
As if the only thing that mattered at that moment was you. — And everything around him simply disappeared.
"There you are!" — Tom walked towards you, easily as there weren't so many people on the carpet, and an enthusiastic smile forming on his lips; also accompanied by cameras and intense flashes. — "And so beautiful!"
Holding a part of your long and dazzling dress so as not to hinder your steps, you met him, and without wasting any time, hugged him. — A common gesture, and not so different or strange, for the spectators; so, you thought. — Tom's arms went around your waist, holding your protectively for a little while, while your arms positioned themselves around his neck.
Tom's fragrance, which you liked so much, filled your nose; it felt so good, and you felt your eyes weaken, contaminated by it. — And the british man was aware of that.
"You look perfect, always." — The older man distanced himself, just a little, and brought his face closer to your ear, wanting only you to hear. — "The most beautiful woman that has ever crossed my eyes." — The lenses probably captured a reddish pigmentation on your cheeks and it was not part of your makeup.
You placed one of your hands on his chest, and looking directly into his eyes; that shone at you, and it wasn't just because of the influence of the lights in your direction. — Tom's gaze was sincere, and passionate, intensely fascinating you. — He conveyed what he felt most with just his eyes.
And that was one of the facts about him that you were passionate about and recognized very well.
"Oh, shut up!" — Raising your hand and resting it a little away from your mouth, you laughed a little embarrassed and looked back at the cameras; remembering that they remained there and you knew that later you would see your interaction with Tom on some social media.
Again, a thing and situation you were used to.
"Look at that camera!" — A voice mingled among others, which requested the same request, asking you to take some photos together; something that would feed news, fans and press.
At no point, minute or second, did you and Tom remain distant or apart from each other; always a few steps close, hugging each other for photos and certain looks, completely indiscreet. — Even during brief interviews, as Blyth mentioned you or your character's work, you were silently watching. — One of the interviewers even commented on how cute she thought it was.
Tom's hand was on your waist, holding and almost covering you, making a quick caress in a few seconds and one of your hands was still resting on his chest; and you continued, of course, to be the focus of the cameras.
Quickly, with the intention of changing your pose and trying something new and also to take advantage of the fact that Blyth's face was almost close to yours, you decide to place your pigmented lips on his cheeks. — Such a cute and friendly gesture, and so common. —But, automatically and hastily, Tom turned his face away at the same time, without having in mind what you were, in fact, planning. — God, it was a shock; an absurd and completely intense shock.
For the first time that night, in that place and on those cameras, your lips touched Tom's lips. — It was very quick, good and surprising; and that definitely left a cold, freezing air in your belly accompanied by a desperate feeling in your mind. — Rumor has it that smoke was coming out of his head. — It was a peck, a quick and simple kiss.
When you separated, hurriedly, your eyes met Tom's once again; who were a little wide-eyed, expressing surprise. — Looking for something to say or do, just like you. — And you watched his lips curve into an almost smile, as if he was trapping him.
Shouts of enthusiasm and some possible whistles echoed throughout the immense place, along with some looks and expressions of surprise at what had happened. — And some people were worried if they had recorded the exact moment, of course. — Your fans were probably commenting frantically about what happened.
You really didn't know what to do but at no point did you move away from your boyfriend — now, official to the public — and keep your hand on his chest; as if it were, in fact, planned.
"A nice way to reveal it, huh?" — Tom laughed, relaxed and without a feeling of discomfort or uneasiness, he still had his hand on your waist; and he still squeezed you, then leaving you with another caress. — "I think." — He didn't look at the cameras, his orbits focused only on you.
They have always focused on you, regardless of what is actually happening; and that will never change.
"A nice way to reveal." — You repeated your words, but, as an affirmation and certainty; maybe, seeing how relieved Tom was, and not showing some kind of distress, your chest calmed down and you felt safe.
And soon, you and Tom became one of the most talked about topics on social media.

Aqua Regia I: cutting through the darkness, bouncing off the walls.
Next chapter
Tumblr media
Neuvillette x fem!reader
Word count: 2.2k
You become the assistant to the new ruler of Fontaine. (Set after the Fontaine archon quests, so spoilers if you haven’t already done it.)
Authors note: its finally here! I’ve separated it into chapters out for ease of reading. It should all be up within the next week or so. This is mostly sfw, a little suggestive at times, but the final chapter will contain nsfw content. Series name and chapter titles are from my literal favourite song ever, aqua regia by sleep token. It’s a very fitting song for this story. Enjoy!
———————————
The sun had not even reached its peak in the sky, dew still glistening on the cypress trees in the gardens outside, and already Neuvillette was pinching his brow, eyes feeling heavy as he slaved over the seemingly endless pile of paperwork that was stacked upon his desk.
Sedene entered his office without knocking, a common occurrence, and one that never bothered him before— only worrying him now because he didn’t want her to see the way his shoulders slumped slightly— an incredibly unprofessional posture.
“Monsieur Neuvillette, your 10 o’clock appointment has arrived.” She said, eyeing him from her spot in the doorway.
He nearly jumped, but kept his calm facade as he shuffled around the papers on his desk, looking for his schedule for the day, but it seemed it was lost to the void of unfinished work he was drowning in.
“My apologies, Sedene, I seem to have misplaced the itinerary I had written out for the day, would you remind me who it is I am meeting with?”
Sedene smiled, her eyes soft. “It’s Miss Charlotte, from The Steambird. You agreed to an interview with her last week, Your Honor.”
“Sedene, please,” Neuvillette sighed, though his tone remained light and pleasant. “The formal honorifics outside of the courtroom are far from necessary.”
“Alright, sir.” The melusine smiled. “Shall I send her in?”
Neuvillette tried to right himself, stacking his finished documents and unfinished work in separate piles to seem organized, though he would probably regret it later.
“Yes, please.” He said. “And if you have the time, perhaps some tea? I’m sure she’ll be here for a good while.”
Sedene nodded, turning to leave, before the Iudex called out to her again. “Sedene?”
“Yes, sir?”
“I believe…” he let the tension fall from his shoulders finally, giving up on trying to hide his weariness from her. “I believe I’m in need of some aid, if I am to continue this way.”
Sedene just hid a chuckle behind her soft hand. “Perhaps you should ask Miss Charlotte to put an ad in the newspaper?”
With his final acceptance of his situation, he nodded. “Perhaps.”
—————
“—And then I told him that there was no need, I had the perfect candidate in mind, and if he did not like you, then I would put the ad in the paper— although I told him there was absolutely no way he wouldn’t completely adore you altogether.”
You listened to your friend talk animatedly, finally hearing her take a breath without continuing her thought. You certainly loved Charlotte, but conversations about things like work and her other passions tended to be relatively one-sided.
“I’m sorry, just to reiterate, you personally recommended me to the chief justice for a position as his personal assistant?”
“Of course! You were a PA at the steambird for so long, and you did so well there, everyone loved you!” She grinned, taking another sip of her tea.
The café was rather packed today, and your macarons sat perfectly stacked in a cute pile on your plate. Your favourite desert by far, and café Lutece’s were second only to the treats made by Miss Navia herself.
“Yes, but that was the Steambird.” You said, tracing a finger over the delicate shell of the top macaron on the pile. “We’re talking about the chief justice here— the new ruler of Fontaine— how are we even supposed to address him now?”
You started to panic a little, not used to interacting with nobility, let alone the person of the highest social status in all of Fontaine— overlooking the love the citizens still held for lady Furina, of course.
“I’m not sure, but you’ll get to ask him tomorrow!” Charlotte exclaimed, making you gawk at her. “I knew you were free so I arranged a meeting for you tomorrow at noon! Isn’t it exciting?”
Your heart dropped into your stomach, then did a couple loops around there before it lurched into your throat.
“Charlotte! I really appreciate you doing this for me, but I am woefully underprepared for this? What am I supposed to do? What will I even wear? Do I need to bring a resume? List of references? What—“
“Woah, woah,” Charlotte reached across the table, running a soothing hand down your forearm. “It’s not that serious, he’d just like to meet you over some tea at the Palais. He’s not all that intimidating after you meet him, hun. I promise you I wouldn’t have put you up to this if I wasn’t one hundred percent confident in you.”
Your breathing settled a bit as she comforted you, though your mind was still racing.
“You’ve got this in the bag.” Charlotte smiled, and you hoped she was right.
——————
You smoothed your hands over your skirt nervously as you made your way to the steps outside the Palais Mermonia.
You wore the nicest outfit you owned that didn’t stray into formal wear territory, not that you had many dresses of that caliber.
A dress, cut just above the knee, a beautiful deep blue color. A matching ribbon tied around the collar of the white puff sleeved undershirt, and a navy waistcoat cinched tightly in the back with a bow. Paired with your nicest stockings and a lovely pair of boots that Miss Navia had gotten you last year for your birthday, you looked every bit the part of an upper class citizen of Fontaine.
Your insecurities ate at you, but you fixed a stray hair and smiled at the cute little dog dressed in a guard uniform that was trotting outside the lift. You were on high alert, but seeing everyone standing around, acting normally, enjoying the sunshine— well that made it seem a little better.
You greeted Liath as she skipped around the entrance, feeling even better as she smiled brightly at you. You made it a point to personally get to know all the melusine around the city, finding them to be extremely fascinating beings, and upon doing so, learning that they were among the sweetest, kindest people you’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing.
“I heard you’re going to be working here!” Liath said, throwing her arms out in excitement. “That will be so lovely! I will get to see you every day!”
You giggled a bit, not wanting to burst her bubble. “It’s just an interview, Liath. Nothing is set in stone just yet.”
“Well I just know you’re going to get the job, you’re so very lovely.”
You pressed a hand over your heart, feeling your face heat up.
“You always say the kindest things when we speak, I'm very flattered. I hope I get the job too.”
She wished you good luck and sent you off, and you entered the building with your heart once again in your throat.
You walked through towards the head office, nodding at the gestionnaire ladies who were working diligently at their tables before you heard your name ring out from the end of the hall.
Sedene scurried out from behind her station, coming to greet you.
“Sedene!” You exclaimed. “It’s been a while, you look so beautiful! are you doing something new with your hair?”
She smiled sheepishly, pawing at her hair under her hat. “Miss Seigewinne got me some new hair oils, imported from Liyue! They’re very lovely, and smell just heavenly!” She leaned towards you, tilting her head in offering. “Here, smell!”
You giggled again, a little taken aback, but leaned in to smell her anyway. True to her word, Sedenes hair smelled just lovely, sweet and floral, yet unlike anything you’d ever smelled here in Fontaine.
“Oh, wow, that's beautiful!” You said. “The next time I go to see the Duke, I’ll have to ask Seigewinne where exactly she got it from.”
Sedene agreed, and pointed towards the door to your right. “He should be ready for you, I brought the tea in just a moment ago.”
Dread tried to creep its way back into your throat, but Sedene reached up to take your hands into her soft paws.
“I wouldn’t worry if I were you,” Was all she said before she smiled and skipped back to her station.
You walked swiftly to the doors, and before you lost your nerve creaked them open and peaked inside.
The chief justice was at his desk, eyes flitting over a document held loosely in his hand. He looked so regal and intimidating, his clothes finely pressed and tailored to fit him exceptionally well. Upon your entry, his gaze snapped up, and you swore you could see the faintest hints of embarrassment cross his face.
Your name fluttered past his lips as he stood, and you shivered a bit at the way his voice uttered the word.
“My apologies, I did not hear you enter. My attention seems to be scattered as of late.”
“No, no, please.” You said, stepping further into the room as the door closed audibly behind you. “It’s my fault, I should have knocked first.”
“Your arrival was anticipated, and Sedene must have sent you through, therefore there was no need for you to knock, I assure you.”
Neuvillette walked closer to you, holding out his hand for you to shake. You took it,  trying to remember everything you were ever taught about shaking someone’s hand during interviews, but taken aback at how large his hands seemed compared to yours.
“It’s a pleasure to finally meet you,” Neuvillette said, his hand grasping yours just a beat longer than normal before he pulled away, gesturing to the chair he had set up in front of his desk. “I’ve heard so much about you, please, have a seat.”
He pulled the chair out, the perfect gentleman, pushing it back under you as you folded your hands under your skirt to tuck it under your bottom, sitting down.
He rounded the desk and said down, pouring you a cup of tea before sliding the tray of additives closer to you.
“All good things, I hope?” You said, adding your preferred mixture of extras to your tea.
“Pardon?” Neuvillette seemed a bit distracted, his eyes jumping back to you from where he seemed to be zoning out.
“You said that you’ve heard a lot about me,” you said, smiling over the rim of your teacup. Your confidence grew with each passing moment in his office, he just seemed so… normal. A bit scattered—as much as he seemed to try to hide it, which made your chest feel light and airy—but so normal. “I was just hoping they’re all good things.”
He blinked at you, gears finally clicking into place, before a bit of a sheepish look crept onto his face.
“Ah, well— yes.” He said, picking up his teaspoon and stirring his tea despite not putting anything in it. “You came highly recommended by Miss Charlotte, and upon hearing of this meeting, a multitude of melusines came to sing your praises, which shocked me a little, but I have heard them speak of you in passing, so I suppose my surprise was short lived.”
“They speak of me?” You asked, feeling a bit flustered.
“I’ve heard your name more than once.” He said, taking a sip of his tea. “The girls tend to talk about those who are kindest to them quite a lot, they are all rather fond of you.”
“Are you close to them?” You asked, already knowing half the answer. “They all speak quite fondly of you.”
He smiled a bit brighter. “I like to think I am. They are the pride of Fontaine, and therefore I take much pride in them as well.”
You found yourself staring at his smile.
You’d only ever seen Neuvillette in the occasional trial you attended. He was always stone faced, serious, and oh so untouchable. High, high up in his seat, looking down on all others. Seeing him here, you couldn’t help but think he looked so very human.
“To the matter at hand,” he said, clearing his throat and sitting up a bit straighter in his seat. “I will not lie to you, since Lady Furina stepped down I have had an influx of responsibilities to take on, and while I am fully prepared to do so—I find myself in need of…”
He seemed a bit lost, maybe a bit embarrassed.
“Some help?” You said softly.
He sighed. “Yes. Even with all of her frivolity and splendor, Lady Furina did take on her fair share of duties when it came to making sure Fontaine stayed well functioning and stable.”
Neuvillette seemed a bit wistful then, slightly sad, staring off into the space just beside your head.
“Monsieur?”
“Ah, forgive me.” He seemed to shake himself out of it. “I am deeply honored to be entrusted with the care of his nation, but it seems like some assistance would be extremely beneficial to this transitionary period in time, and likely beyond as well.”
“If I may say so, sir, I think you’re doing a wonderful job already.” You thought about how well the crisis of the flood was handled, the aftermath, the reparations. “I would be honored if you chose me to be the one to aid you in this.”
He smiled again, softly, and you hoped you’d be able to see it more in the future.
“Thank you,” he said. “I would be so very grateful.”

Hi Detective, what did you think of Movie 26?
Movie 26 (Black Iron Submarine) Review
Tumblr media
Raw feelings:
I'm completely speechless by this movie. It was way beyond any of my minimal expectations. It was extremely good!
I was baffled out of pure disbelief at how much main plot stuff they were revealing in this movie to the point that my brain fried. You could immediately feel that it was a movie you needed to rewatch multiple times in order to fully digest and appreciate its greatness. It was pure fanservice in the best way possible, not the botched M20 way, where fanservice scenes didn't feel earned, mystery being completely gone and main plot/cast characters getting sidelined. Everyone had their moment to shine.
After 15 years, I get a DC movie that finally topped M13 as my new all-time favorite DC movie. I was so thoroughly satisfied that I couldn't help but clap at the end.
Haibara (Sherry)
Haibara truly shined in this movie. Not only did she have proactive role in rescuing herself, Naomi and later Conan, but her personal romantic feelings, childhood past and current relationships with her dear friends were further fleshed out. I was floored by the degree that she got exposed, to the point of the OG antagonist Vodka standing right in front of her next to Pinga, ready to kidnap her, and then later interrogating her about her identity.
Tumblr media
I truly adore how the movie also revealed what started the bullying she went through in America (protecting her fellow half-japanese) and how Naomi's story complimented Haibara's childhood. It was a beautiful touch having Haibara's childhood classmate Naomi realizing Haibara's true identity by the end of the movie.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I also love how the movie depicted how highly Haibara viewed Conan/Shinichi and his protective reassuring face. It was cute seeing her face light up with happiness when he showed up. I was shocked, but also very appreciative of how respectful she was trying to be of Shinichi's relationship with Ran (more than the fandom clearly) that she went to the degree of passing on her CPR kiss with Conan to Ran.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mizunashi (Kir)
Kir was one of the big standouts in this movie. You could truly feel the shift in spotlight focus between her and Bourbon, seeing as Bourbon was truly put in the backburner for Kir to get more shine, and it was perfectly handled and a true overdue for her (since she has been neglected in the franchise overall). I couldn't stop grinning and appreciate her nonchalant stunts to aid in Haibara's escape by pretending to not know how to open the exit tube in the submarine so Vodka could thoroughly explain it as Haibara overhears everything through the transmitter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I especially loved her less indirect and confrontational move towards Gin, when she directly interferred with his murder attempt of Haibara & Naomi, and how she calmly talked back at Gin when he aimed the gun at her. She was a true badass worthy of her NOC title, that I've longed to see in the series, only to get it in this wonderful movie.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pinga
I really enjoyed Pinga's role in the movie as well, and especially appreciated how he wasn't written to be similar to Irish and Curacao (who had a more sympathetic antagonist development) but rather to be a more selfish greedy psychopath with more ambition than Gin, but less talented. It was interesting to learn how he was deep undercover as an engineer for interpol since 5 years back while disguised as a woman.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I especially enjoyed seeing his fights with Ran, and how she became a troublesome enemy for him (giving Ran good spotlight like in M13), as well as how Conan straight up shit-talked to him while giving Gin praise in comparison, to the point of riling Pinga up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vermouth
Vermouth was the true MVP in this movie. She had such a central role in saving Haibara from the organization's suspicion. It was extremely exciting to see Vermouth immediately sensing the potential of Naomi's All-age Recognition System (ARS) and how it could expose the boss identity and whereabouts, but more importantly to her, expose Shinichi's shrinking, that she'd rather keep hidden like a pandora's box. I was shocked and loved how she manipulated the Boss into giving her the order to destroy the ARS for his own sake, when she in reality wanted to not only conceal the current APTX shrinking effects from him, but also protect Shinichi. The way she used her disguising skills to invalidate the ARS' accuracy was just a genius move by her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The biggest surprise to me was how she was revealed to be the old woman from the start in disguise, who was given the sale ticket for a Fusae brand brooch by Haibara out of selfless kindness, and how Vermouth was basically revealed to also be repaying that kindness back to Haibara by protecting her from the BO, further deepening her motivations and multi-faceted nature in such a beautiful way as she gazes at the confused Silver Bullet (Conan) who is questioning them after getting Bourbon's intel.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rum & Karasuma Renya
The Biggest shocker in this whole movie was without a doubt the big reveal that Rum, the no.2 of the Black Organization, is unaware of the Boss' whereabouts in recent times and that, apart from having Pinga request Naomi to sell the ARS to them so they can modify it and also use it to erase the BO's activities in security cameras (according the boss' orders), had intended to use the ARS to locate Karasuma Renya (the Boss).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This was a huge bombshell reveal, yet to be revealed in the manga, that further clarified the current ongoings within the organization. It basically as good as confirmed that the Boss is hiding a de-aged form from his subordinates (including his very close associate, Rum) and that no one other than Vermouth is aware of his hidden whereabouts. This revelation is further supporting my "Child of seven (Nanatsu no ko)" theory (the Boss being a shrunken 7-year-old who is only contacting his subordinates through phone to hide his child appearance and maintain authority). This also further established a distrustful relationship between Karasuma Renya and Rum, seeing as the Boss has kept Rum out of the loop, and how Rum has persisted to locate the Boss against his wishes, creating a very small divide within the organization's power structure. This is extremely exciting for the future of the series and has gotten me very hyped for what's left of Rum's development in the Rum climax.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Conclusion
This movie was overall a 10/10 product, that gave all the fans outstanding fanservice. Conan's devotion to save Haibara, Ran's supportive contribution to the point of almost getting shot, Agasa's deeply moving heartfelt tears after Haibara's kidnapping, Kuroda's helpful backing of Conan, Bourbon's informational support and Akai's loyal aid in taking down the submarine were all just the tip of the iceberg. All the beautiful callbacks to canon events were also among the best of the fanservice. I especially loved Haibara's callback to how a child (Ayumi) had once changed her life through their actions (File 437), Pisco kidnapping her despite wearing glasses (File 240), Ran reminding Haibara of Akemi (like in File 434), Kir's callback to her father sacrificing himself for her in response to Naomi's cry (File 604) and all the moments Haibara recalled when Conan comforted and moved her (Bus hijack, Haibara intro, Reunion, etc).
Gosho's involvement in the story was clearly noticeable, just by the sheer quality of the movie, and all of his many drawn keyframes were beautiful.

so, I think The Hidden World gets a lot of unnecessary hate. I definitely don’t think it’s better than the first two, but it has its own very distinct feel that separates it from the others too, and it’s very raw, and actually very real, and I think that’s why I disliked it so much when I first saw it, but i’m older now, and there’s beauty in how real it is. And there’s no reality besides an inevitable separation of Toothless and Hiccup, besides of course, a for eternity tv show just about their adventures forever and ever and ever. But, the one guarantee all of us have in life, everything ends.
First of all, that opening shot of Berk is beautiful, because as Hiccup narrates, you see the reality of living on a small island with an overflow of dragons: overcrowding and chaos. Like honest to god the first maybe like 20 minutes of this film is so perfect. Also, Hiccup interacts with other characters a lot more, a lot more chatting, and I actually felt like I was watching a fifteen year old Hiccup in an older body, like they really wrote him perfectly aged up. I didn’t even realize how little we got to really see his personality in the second film in comparison to the first and third one. I felt the movie was kinda shot a little like a tv show, in terms of camera work, it felt very off putting. it also felt off putting to have a HTTYD movie and have Hiccup mainly on the ground for most of it, but I understand why. But god is it animated beautifully, like sooooooo beautifully.
I think the existence of the Hidden World as like a concept is dumb, and if I read that in a book I’d be like ugh no that’s so lame for story, so they’re lucky that waterfall shot is just insanely crazy gorgeous. I saw it in theaters, and that shot was mesmerizing, of them on Stormfly flying over the ocean and rocks and waterfall, like where they’re sooooo small and you really feel size, it’s so beautiful. I hate Grimmel, I hate him, he’s so stupid. I know you need a villain bla bla bla, but honestly, if it was the same movie without him and they still eventually left to the hidden world, it still would’ve worked and been a way better movie. I really wish they had written the film without an outer conflict/villain besides just like dragon raids. Really focus on Hiccup’s feelings as he navigates the new world of being chief around him, like there’s a reason he was not up in the sky for a lot of this movie, I think it would’ve been really strong to focus on how he has to come to terms that he has to let Toothless go. I hate the light fury design, I don’t hate the existence of her, and I would’ve loved tk see Hiccup get to know her and like how much he would adore her because he literally spent the last 6 years searching the world for another night fury. No problem with that. Hate that damn glitter white sparkle. I hate that she’s a my little pony doll. Why does she have to be so ROUNd????? Couldn’t have just made like a smaller version of Toothless, maybe nose is smaller and eyes are thinner, ears aren’t as long, but different eye color and keep her black like Toothless. She’s got nubs bro. Damn beluga. The end scene of this movie is like, top best clips in cinema alone. It’s perfect. So perfect. When Hiccup takes a deep breath once he’s up in the air, GOD it’s so perfect. It makes everything that isn’t great about this movie and just makes it all so worth it. Also the whimsy feel of this movie, it’s so fun. The soundtrack really brings ouch such a whimsy feeling. I also don’t like how everyone was all lowkey bullying Hiccup, but like, especially the whole, them being shocked Hiccup is surprised Toothless wouldn’t come back. Like wdym, be so for real. Of course Hiccup didn’t expect Toothless to stay away. “You have him his freedom” my ass. Also, what’s up with Valka, they yassified her. Why does she move like that. Were they trying to be, this is where Hiccup gets his gesturing from??? It just didn’t work for her, especially since she did NOT act like that in the second film. That was so strange. Also they did something to Toothless. Like they made him act like a dog, he seemed so strange. And why was he grey?????? And such a wide neck. Idk he was funky, I have no idea but it was weird. Lowkey, I loved the Hiccup and Tuffnut scenes because they’re so true to character, but yall just wanna be haters. That’s all my thoughts for now. Hiccup is yummy in this movie😮‍💨

FIC REC WEEK 11 – A/B/O
Breaking Tony by AvocadoLove
Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: E Words: 6,385 Tags: Dubious Consent, Voyeurism, Orgasm Denial
Summary: In a world where everyone is born beta, leaders chosen by newly founded packs become alpha. Omegas are not born or made, they are broken. Steve wants Tony to become the Avenger's omega.
Reasons why I love it: I really like this take on A/B/O. The worldbuilding about all the ways people can be "broken" into omegas is super interesting, and the one Steve chooses makes complete sense to me, considering who he is as a person. Plus, that nod to Steve's ulterior motive at the end is like a nice cherry on top. I love this fic, and if dubious consent isn't a dealbreaker for you, then I bet you will too!
Against The Norm by justanotherStonyfan
Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: E Words: 13,004 Tags: Fuck or Die, Mutual Pining, Mating Cycles
Summary: When Steve and Tony wake up to find that they've been captured, they assume things can't get any worse. They're wrong.
Reasons why I love it: 'Bad guys made them do it' is my not-so-secret pleasure, and this one scratches that itch so goddamn well for me. The smut is hot as hell, but what really gets me is how desperately Steve is trying to hold himself back. His inner monologue is perfect, and I absolutely adore how, after everything is over, Tony comes to Steve's rescue. This is definitely one of my favorite fics in this fandom, so I hope you check it out for yourself!
In Tandem by RurouniHime
Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: E Words: 8,695 Tags: Mpreg, Illness, Heat Cycles
Summary: “Want a blood test,” Steve manages, because on the third night of their Week, he can think more clearly than he’s been able to for days. Tony’s scent is strong in his nostrils, cloying in a strange, sleek way he yearns after like a tune he nearly recognizes. “If you’re getting sick—” “God.” Tony shifts bodily up into him, clenching around him. “Yes, Mom.”
Reasons why I love it: This one is so fucking good! Steve and Tony really get dealt a shitty card by nature here, but the way they handle it is amazing. They're terrified, but they support each other, and that is just beautiful to me. The companion piece to this fic is also wonderful, in that it shows just how hard Steve tries to give Tony everything he needs, but also how Tony returns the favor. This verse is incredible, check it out, I bet you'll love it!
Inkling by Cluegirl
Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: E Words: 9,373 Tags: Hurt/Comfort, Outdoor Sex, Attempted Kidnapping
Summary: "Enough!" The doctor snapped, no trace of chummy comfort left in his voice as he shoved the hypospray at another of the nurses. "We have orders! MPs, get topside, now. Hooper, get another fifty of Xyladine into the Captain. Dacy and Roccio, prep the gurney. Seames, wipe your goddamned face off and prep for blood draw." "But Major, the muster-" Steve felt the cuff on his right arm begin to tear, blood slicking his wrist against the metal's bite. The doctor rounded on his aide, teeth bared. "Did. I. Stutter?" Another one tried, "Sir, the alphas will need-" "The alphas will fight, Corporal," The doctor snatched the hypospray back. "Rut haze or no, they'll fight. That's what we keep them around for, now get that man unconscious, or I will-"
Reasons why I love it: Rut-crazed Steve is one of my favorite things, and this one is just beautiful. I love how Tony instantly swoops in to take care of Steve, and the smut is hot as all hell. The rest of the Avengers are wonderfully written as well, and the first scene sets the mood perfectly. I love this one a lot, so I hope you check it out for yourself!
Never is a Promise by manic_intent
Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: E Words: 9,976 Tags: Bonding, Knotting, Alpha!Tony/Omega!Steve
Summary: Steve had to admit that he had some reservations about how the New Century handled the social balance between alphas and omegas.
Reasons why I love it: Taking the usual A/B/O trope and flipping it on its head. I love it! Steve is really amazing in this, and his inner monologue is super well-written. Poor Tony being a slave to his instincts makes for some incredible smut, and you know I always love a good "oh-shit-fuck-we're-compatible" storyline. This one is fantastic, and I highly recommend you read it!

Azriel???
Hi love!!! Hope you are having an amazing day/night!
🧠 Pick a character, and I'll tell you my favorite headcanon for them.
Okay to be honest, I have so many thoughts for Az
I think he is an introvert at heart. But I think with you, he would be an introverted extrovert. With you, he is constantly sharing his thoughts, laughing loudly at your jokes, just so happy and comfortable within your presence. Usually, being around people drains him, even with the members of the inner circle he needs alone time for a while after hanging out as a family. But with you???? With you, he could never ever get sick of your presence. He often feels so refreshed after talking to you, it's like you are charging his social battery instead of draining it like everyone else. He could live the rest of his life in your presence and be perfectly content.
And he also loves the moments of silence between you guys as you cook dinner together, or bake together, or walk together on the trails behind your home, or when he takes you flying, or when he is cuddled up into your chest as you stroke his hair and let him relax after a mission or meeting, or when you are sitting together in the library he built for you and just reading in silence next to each other.
I also think he is very hands on. He knows how to fix things at home, and he also likes to build things. Like in that previous bullet, yes, he built a library for you in your home. It is a beautiful, and he picked each and every book on those shelves just for you. He likes to build you vanities... he loved building the cribs for your babes... he is just super hands on.
I think he would be so protective over you. One of his shadows is constantly with you, even when he is away on a mission, this shadow is staying with you, slithering around the room, checking out every person who dares come near you. He is just so protective, and always wants you to feel safe. And you do because of him.
I love to think that Azriel would be the most loving to his mate. Like fresh flowers every week, the most beautiful poems or songs written for you sung by him, holding you close to him any time you are together... you guy's are so love sick it is insane.
He is also so obsessed with you. Just complimenting you every second, trying to get that beautiful blush to spread across your cheeks. He is always wanting to try new things with you, and is pushing himself out of his comfort zone with you because you make him feel safe enough to try. He is constantly coming up with date ideas, to the point where you are going out multiple times a week.
Another headcanon that I love for Az is that he is touch starved. I touched on this with a previous ask, but he absolutely is just so shy about it and then he meets you and its game over for him. You are just so touchy with him and he just adores it.
NSFW so if you are under 18, skip ---
He absolutely has a choking kink... he usually hates the way his fingers look, but gods whenever they are wrapped around your throat... his hand is your favorite necklace
also he loves shoving his fingers into your mouth to shut you up while he is railing into you, over and over and over, hitting that spongy spot with each thrust. And you are just squeaking... and he slips is fingers in, "suck bunny."
he loves using his shadows on you while you're in bed together. He doesn't need to tie you up, he has his shadows do that for him. He is fucking into you from behind? His shadows are flicking at your clit leaving a cold whispered touch
He likes to cum in you, and he cums copious amounts. Breeding kink, that is all.
You once made a bet to see how long you both could go without touching each other, and honestly he held out. You were the first to give in...
you also were not able to walk in the morning. he had to pick you up and carry you around....

More people need to watch this show tbh. It's fucking great. I love it. I don't have the energy for an analysis so I'm gonna list things I like about it
Wholesome dynamics
Excellent stylized animation
Fucking gay as shit vibes
Hilarious comedy that fits perfectly with the weird world
Excellent worldbuilding
On and off gender fuckery
Isekai where the protag's life is improved not via great power but via superior relationships (vs his abusive parents back in the 'real' world)
Well written and unique characters
Fucking wholesome tsundere adoptive grandfather
Creative and unique powers and character designs
Protag literally maxed out charisma and he's too adorable and wholesome 😭
The fights are very epic
Everyone is hilarious at the perfect times while still maintaining the stakes
Anti toxic masculinity bullshit
Trope subversion
A delight to watch
Creative and delightful theme song/credit songs
Oh yeah there's this one demon girl who's fucking tall with stompy shoes and she's sexy and badass and has an actual personality and there's a whole thing about her confidence and how integral self love is
The fucking shenanigans are off the charts there is quite a bit of tomfoolery to be had because this show acknowledges that a lot of the characters are indeed in school and do stupid shit but its in a wholesome way and not a cringey and hard to watch way
He's a fucking human child going to demon school and they just go like "ok this guy is weird" and aren't suspicious at all and even when they are they don't care they just explain it like "oh ok he just doesn't like flying" and its so fucking funny and great like this boy was sold by his parents to a demon who just wants him to be his grandson and he gets pampered by his new demon grandfather and makes friends with the weird girl at school and also the honors student who has a crush on him it's great
Crossdressing pop song performance as mass demon therapy
The demons have a vault of "forbidden texts" and it is a shitload of romance manga they can't translate.
Original songs and musical sequences

Alright, I did it. The post-game angst I keep referencing and then not posting? I'm posting it. @theranciddwarf will find this song and dance a familiar one with other variations of Hoshi. @piipaw @kharonion I've blabbed about this a couple of times, and here's the full context.
No way in hell am I writing a fic about this. It'd just make me sad. I'll just yell instead. Edit: Now that I'm done writing this, I really should have written a one-shot. By the time I realized I was practically writing one anyway, it was too late. The sunken cost falicy kicked in.
Hoshi's relationship with Gale is a perfect example of how love on its own is not always enough. I think after the better part of a decade that I've written about variations of him ending up in partnerships where things clicked into place with ease, it's time that he has a change of pace. Can they compromise on their opposing livestyles in a healthy way?
Had they not freshly avoided death after saving Faerun, Hoshi would have told Gale that they should wait to get married. He didn't regret his decision when they came down from the high, however. There's no better excuse to plant his roots somewhere and grow than doing so with the person he loves. He thought he knew what he was getting into.
Gale did not. You see, Gale was very Gale about the arrangement. He thought they would go home and things would go back to his "normal" of getting lost in his work, all while he gave Hoshi the life he believed the monk deserved! Everyone was going to adore him! How could they not!? Gale was never one to manage his expectations; he lived a life of most things going his way, doing little to combat this. To his credit, Hoshi only needed to give him a little nudge and Gale would float back down to the ground with him.
No nudges were given. Hoshi's brain had been wired by his adulthood, wandering from place to place for fear of who he is catching up to those kind enough to accommodate him. It would take time for him to adjust to taking up space in what is now his home. In his head, Gale and Tara were making room in their home for him and, out of habit, waiting for the other shoe to drop. When would his novelty wear off? He is 'competing' with the relative solitude Gale holds dear, his freedom afforded to him by his last lover not sharing his living quarters.
All that to say, Hoshi didn't even think about asking Gale to make compromises when it came to their new life together. He assumes that his discomforts were what came with stationary living. The problems that stem from this weren't constantly on the forefront of his mind; Gale took initiative on his own to make sure he split his time between his spouse and his work. The unrelated issues they have, he spoke to Gale about because Hoshi's emotional intelligence was one of the things he's known for.
The adventuring party's monarch of communication forgot to stare into the mirror etc etc
Gale was not (without real effort) a mind-reader any longer. He also had blind spots in his social skills that require having things pointed out to him to have them click.
Quite by accident, he started to unravel that things weren't going as perfectly as he'd hoped. It's a beautiful day out, Hoshi's sporting a dress he'd just finished sewing the evening before, so he figured it was a sign he should step out of the tower, go with Hoshi to market. At some point, he overheared an interaction between a vendor and Hoshi that strikes him as odd. Something about the phrasing. He brings it up later and verbally tries working out what the vendor could have meant. Hoshi then had to explain that it was a cheerfully delivered microaggression because he's a tiefling.
This rattles Gale. It brings to mind a number of interactions he'd been there for that now make complete sense in this context. What about when he hasn't been there? Was it worse then? Why hadn't Hoshi told him this was happening?  And Hoshi would tell him that it often happens anywhere tieflings go, no matter who they are. Getting angry only makes things worse. Some places were better than others, but he was not exactly in a position to get up and leave whenever he wished. That's ok. Good, even. Overall, this way of life was better for him in the long run and for both their sake, he'd learn to adapt.
That did not satisfy Gale in the least. He did noy push the matter at the time, but he was putting puzzle pieces together about what Hoshi compromised to be there with him. His livelihood, promiscuity, the thrill of roaming free for his entire adult life, the code-switching that's done around certain company that Gale is now painfully aware of, and, really, the vast majority of his academic pursuits.
It's a bad habit Hoshi thought he'd kicked already, calling the tower Gale's home rather than their home. He hadn't noticed it had slipped out until he saw the defeat on Gale's face and what had been a casual chat about furniture became a long-overdue heart-to-heart.
Gale pleaded with him to tell him that he didn't clip Hoshi's wings by bringing him to Waterdeep. The voice that used to fill entire camps has wilted over his stay there into what Gale can only assume Hoshi believes is a 'respectable' volume. His saunter had stiffened as if he had a crossbow to his back whenever they left the tower. He's watching his spouse curl in on himself, and when he can't even acknowledge that he lives there, Gale can't help but dread that Hoshi is going to leave him. What can he do? All Hoshi had to do was ask, and Gale would give him anything he wanted. That's all he's ever wanted for his spouse—a life where he'd want for nothing.
Hoshi is quick to point out that was not as if Gale brought him by force. He made the decision himself after agreeing to marry him, and his actions are not Gale's responsibility. None of these things Gale's worried about are due to anything he did. He admitted that he was struggling, but that his uncharacteristic behavior wasn't an indication that he's going to flee in the middle of the night.
His problem was that he had no idea how to live his life long-term. He spent the last three decades unwittingly waiting for it to end, so many of his strategies revolved around self-sabotage. The bad news was that this self-sabotage continued to be perpetuated through his attempts to save what he could of Gale's reputation. Hoshi knew how social circles in places like Waterdeep worked. They were talking filth about Gale behind his back for marrying a tiefling, without question. Lessons on how to mask around the upper crust of tailess societies had been given on the regular in his youth for these sorts of scenarios. Gale was likely not thinking about it, but Hoshi was and had made it his responsibility to save face. He didn't want Gale to grow resentful of him if their union meant he lost opportunities because of the pettiness of bigots.
The good news was that those were moves made out of planning for the future. It was a face plant in the right direction. He knew this was a struggle to grasp for some sort of control when he felt completely out of his element—out of his element being having a home with someone who loves him for the right reasons. Gale's had never been anything but supportive.
Gale could stress enough how much he did not want whatever opportunities were available to him at the cost of Hoshi being miserable. Anyone who would speak ill of Hoshi for being who he was had shown a severe lack of judgment he didn't want any part of. Whoever that tiefling was that they'd find passable, Gale does not want him either. He wanted the tiefling who possessed the humility he so much admired, taking up room with grace in every sense of the word. When they walked out that door next, he wanted to be arm in arm, Hoshi's tail no longer worn like a belt, that light-hearted tranquility on display. That hint of mischief, meaningful glances, inside jokes—all that spice is sorely missed.
Ghostwalkers. Gale had discovered the term while delving into his research on monkhood on his endless quest to connect with his love. They were the things folktales were made of: a mysterious stranger arrives precisely on time to defend the innocent from a crisis, then vanishes. The fewer traces left of their presence, the better. Hoshi would add more flare to the occupation than that, but the point still stood. This was the routine that Hoshi knew. Gale now understood. Because Hoshi was determined to stay, the closest thing he had as an alternative was making himself invisible.
Hoshi hadn't thought about it like that. His goal was to stay out of Gale's way. It was a compulsion that Gale didn't have a hand in, he assures him. It was a him problem. This is happening because he can't run from himself any longer. That's good. Things will be different, but they'll be good.
Yes! Excellent! Only it isn't solely a 'him problem!' This is between another person as well! It's harming them both! Gale has to remind Hoshi of a story of a man who went and did things on his partner's behalf, believing he was doing her a favor when she never would have asked him to do those things in the first place. Hoshi's not going to end up with a bomb in his chest or a separation, but they can't continue like this. The mistake of origin was making Hoshi settle down as abruptly as they did. It something they should have eased into. They should plan a trip as soon as possible.
Hoshi did not like this idea. Alright, no, he loved the idea. That was not the point. Gale couldn't just drop everything to go with him on a trip. That wasn't fair to him or anyone who depends on him.
Gale pointed out that the same could be said of Hoshi's position.
That did not mean there wasn't other solutions, in Hoshi's opinion. He could use a contact of his, see if he couldn't locate one of their friends to lend them a hand, no Gale disruptions needed. He could take more trips to Baldur's Gate from the recovery effort since his current was clearly not enough. If he recalls, all Gale wanted to do while out on the road was go back home. It would only bring Hoshi guilt knowing he got in the way of his nights by the fire. Tara would be so cross with them both.
That brought to mind another story for Gale, of the adeventurer and the wizard in the underdark whose tower had become a monument to his grief. He knew Hoshi remembered it all too well. He did not want that for them. There's a happy medium that can be found and they will find it.
Only Hoshi wasn't interested in Gale going if it was out of fear or a sense of obligation. That would totally negate the entire point of this plan of his.
What was one of the things that brought them together in the first place? It was the pursuit of knowledge. What method of learning together was mutually successful for the both of them? Getting their hands dirty going out to find the knowledge on their own! Gale was willing to see how five days of travel sat with him when they're not in mortal danger throughout. It's not as if sleeping in their tent would be an issue any longer. Stepping inside would be like entering a cozy cottage.
...Hoshi slipped in that it would help him in his writing. That settled it. Gale would go through to proper channels to let Blackstaff know that he was having a family emergency, which is what this was! He'll hear none of it from anyone who thinks otherwise, Hoshi included. When they return, they could begin discussion on collaberating on freshing up the tower, transformer it into their tower.
And so, periodically Hoshi would come to him with expedition ideas—small things like venturing to monasteries that are open to the public. There are a number known for their libraries. Try as they might, they could rarely help ending up sidetracked on their way to their destination.
As they both valued their automy, Hoshi dose eventually convince Gale that his venturing out to make his own trouble here and there would be in their best interest.
This had unintended side effects.
Never in all his years did Hoshi expect to experience true homesickness. He'd savor that ache. It's one thing to have someone somewhere eagerly awaiting ones return and another to /know it/ in ones heart. Devoting far more time to growing alongside his loved ones at home came easier then, especially with the knowledge there were more adventures to be had, should he so choose.
Gale, on the other hand, eventually became somewhat restless hearing of Hoshi's outings. Often, the monk would end up in a party or roping in one of their found family. He much preferred that Hoshi have company anyhow, in case one of their emergency measures of return failed. Endless writing material was to be had from the retelling of what his larkspur had been up to! Except... now that he'd been out there with his partner, these stories had a weight to them. They were living things rather than simply flat words he had the power to bring to life on paper in fiction. He could have been there himself, with him.
It came to a head when Elminster joined the ranks of companions. Hoshi had left alone and they had come back together. The damned thing was a construct and still it waltzed in with his spouse and ate the dinner he'd cooked for himself while Hoshi couldn't have sounded more delighted about their journey. He knew Elminster had done this on purpose. He didn't care. That was it. A valiant attempt to listen to Hoshi's infodumping was made, when at that point all he wanted was to ask if Hoshi could clear a spot in two months to take him out folk-heroing.
tl;dr: To be loved is to be changed. There's a beauty to be found in the act of coming home. The trick is, you know, both leaving and then going back.
It was super fun watching their roles swap. Instead of Hoshi keeping Gale grounded during a magical crisis, Gale has to lift Hoshi out of a mundane one.

As of me sending this ask, A Pizza The Action is at 44.1% and I Can't Fix You is at 55.9%
A Pizza The Action is losing </3 so here's my propaganda >:]
I myself am a big TLT fan! I love their old songs, covers, remixes, and even TLT's newer songs! (Discord, September, Epoch, My Ordinary Life, Druck and all just a few faves that immediately come to mind for me) And AS a big TLT fan. I don't want the next round to be 3 TLT songs. I definitely don't want the finale to be ALL TLT songs
Also?? A Pizza The Action is SO SO good. It's so so good please go watch and listen to it.The production quality?! The Talent?! The Music Video?! The song itself?! It all SO GOOD
(And then listen to more Stupendium songs that aren't Fnaf bc they all slap. I love their Poppy Playtime song and I don't even like Poppy Playtime. The songs. And the costumes!! It's all so good it's so so good oh my gosh (other Stupendium songs I enjoy are The Most Fashionable Faction, What A Fowl Day, and sometimes I listen to the horror holiday songs for silly fun. And!! Android Hell Blues! Which doesn't seem to be on their channel but was written and composed by the Stupendium. Man I absolutely adore that one)
OK ok back to A Pizza The Action-
A PIZZA THE ACTION IS ONLY 9 MONTHS OLD!!! EVERY OTHER FNAF SONG LEFT IN THIS COMPETITION RANGES FROM 6-8 YEARS OLD!!!! A Pizza The Action is completely nostalgia free babey, so I'm always really proud of its progress as i know its something people aren't just voting for bc it's a familiar friend :,]
Additional notes:
1: I think it'd be really fucking cool if A Pizza The Action vs Fnaf 1 was the finale. Imagine. I wouldn't even care who won it'd be so fun
2: Sorry I keep insulting I Can't Fix You, I don't actually mind it all that much, but it killed alot of my faves, and I genuinely do feel like nostalgia has been affecting the votes for it (I think thats whats happening for pretty much any song that's 6+ years old so yknow) (don't take me seriously) (I'm just willing to die on really small hills) (and I love hating things) (I Can't Fix You is real good tho when I'm in the mood for it)
Additional propaganda (if A Pizza The Action wins)
1: More cat and kitten pictures
2: I'll show yall pics of my room which I have been working for awhile to paint like a fnaf location. I should have a floor by the time this poll is over (hopefully)
3: (bonus) I will Draw Cosmo and Circus Baby hanging out. I don't draw animatronics all that often so I can't promise much, but I will try my very best
Closing Notes: Music good. And goodnight
Okay at this point everyone has to vote a pizza the action just from the sheer amount of art people have offered to make if it wins oh my GOD
We respect artists in this house!!! Stupendium puts their whole heart into everything!!! If you didn't vote for a pizza the action please go appreciate the art that is the video and song itself because holy shit holy shit holy shit
Also! While we're talking about the other bangers they've made! My personal favorites are Find The Keys (it took me ages to realize the title was a pun and I'm an animator), The Fine Print (I don't even know the source material, the lyrics here just go Hard), and Why Did I Say Okie Doki? (HOW DO THEY SO PERFECTLY MATCH THE STYLE OF THE GAME WHEN MAKING VIDEOS also the song just slaps)

SteveTony Weekly - Best Fic of 2022
Tumblr media
It’s the last day of 2022! We made it, friends, and so it’s time for my annual list of my favorite reads from the year. All of these are amazing, and I spent hours on this list because I kept stopping to reread favorite bits. Check ‘em out. And feel free to send me your favorite reads of 2022!
~*~
Think of This as Solving Problems (That Should Never Have Occurred) by Sineala
No one knows Tony is Iron Man. Then Tony gets amnesia, and literally no one knows Tony is Iron Man.
Sine is always a real treat to read, and I had somehow managed to miss reading this in the past, so I got to enjoy it this year and it was just--lovely. No one does identity porn the way Sine does.
Some Kind of Personal War by sara_holmes
And Tony realizes that working out who the Winter Soldier used to be and who he is now are two entirely different things.
The rest of this series is also amazing, but the first part is Bucky/Nat--it’s only part two and three that introduces Stevetony. The entire series is well worth reading, though.
Teenage Dream by Etharei
"That," says Tony, tone unmistakably smug despite his split lip, "is Captain America. Who, by the way, happens to be my godfather."
I am a sucker for age difference, and also for Steve being utterly protective and besotted, and I loved this verse so much I think I read it twice in December alone.
Magnetic North by msermesth
Tony joins Steve on his post-Secret Empire road-trip-slash-pity-party.
Turns out the road home is paved with a lot of arguments and sex.
I dug into comics this year, but I still haven’t gotten to Secret Empire, but I really enjoyed this--I had enough working knowledge of the story that it enhanced my reading, but I didn’t feel like it was necessary to enjoy the slow progression Steve and Tony had to each other.
Like a Comet Streaming On by Sineala
Tony escapes Afghanistan with a functioning Iron Man suit and a perfectly normal heart. He even manages to bring Ho Yinsen home safely at his side. But he may as well have lost everything... because his wolfbrother is dead. Six months later, the Avengers find Captain America, frozen in ice, miraculously alive. Everything and everyone Steve has ever known is gone -- except his wolfsister, the recipient of the lupine version of the super-soldier serum, who was frozen in his arms. Tony has everything but his wolf. Steve has only his wolf. This is how their lives fit together.
I love the worldbuilding in this, and the grief that Tony goes through, the slow bonding between Tony and Steve (and Libby) is just--perfection.
Mr. July by jibrailis
Tony is the only one who can defend Steve's virtue. Tony hates his life.
It’s just fun. That’s all it is. Just pure fun.
One-Man Army by Captain_Panda
Takes place immediately after the Chitauri attack in Avengers 1.
Steve is running himself into the ground. Tony notices.
Then Steve gets knocked down hard. And Tony intervenes.
This is absurdly long, and had been unfinished for a while--when it was finished earlier this year, I put it on my list to read and it was even better than I expected--despite the length, it’s exquisitely plotted and perfectly written, and held my attention throughout, something that’s rare during a fic that long. It’s well worth the read.
For the Love of a Dragon by Captain_Panda
When Steve went down with the Valkyrie, he thought his days with dragons were over.
Then he meets Tony Stark, who inherited Howard Stark's dragon.
As the kids say: "It's complicated."
This entire series is perfect--the world building of dragons in a modern, canon compliant world is just--flawless. I adored the dragons, I adored how different they were and how well they interacted with the people they chose made complete sense and just--I adored it.
Dangerous Kitchen Tools by ladyshadowdrake
Engineering prodigy, billionaire, and heir to the Stark Industries empire, Tony Stark turned the business world on its head by opening a restuarant and burying himself in the kitchen. Years later, he covers an informal evening cooking class for his friend and fellow molecular gastronomist, Bruce Banner, where he meets famously camera-shy comic artist Steve Rogers.
I really love chef AU’s and this was just so lovely, soft and sweet and perfect. I loved it.
all in by spqr
What matters is that Steve only hates him 99% of the time now, and the other 1% of the time they laugh together and fight side by side and they’re friends.
Tony’s used to having to wring little bits of love out of people.
He can do it.
I really love SPQR (which is why they’re on this list twice) and this is a flawless little CW AU.
Patriarch by spqr
Steve ducks into the hall and comes back with a warm, freshly-laundered towel, which feels so good when he wraps it around Tony’s shoulders that he almost lets out a moan. “There we go,” Steve says. “Don’t want you to catch cold.”
“Thanks, daddy,” Tony quips, because he’s an idiot.
Except Steve’s close enough, his hands wrapped around Tony’s biceps through the towel, that Tony can feel his full-body shudder.
Here we have my most read fic of the year. I think I read this once or twice a month since it was published in March. It’s all my favorite things--mafia, age gap, daddy kink, dangerously possessive Steve. It’s amazing and perfect and I’m gonna go read it again.
angels who sin by meidui
Summer air is thick and sweet, like Tony's voice pouring honey into Steve's throat, telling Steve more than he needs to know. He's here with his parents for the summer, he just finished his first year at college, he doesn't believe in God but his parents make him come to church.
"They said you can help me find faith," Tony says, as mischievous as he is innocent, and Steve is as good as gone.
Priest Steve, Twink Tony and meidui’s gorgeous prose? That’s it, that’s everything.
seven years in heaven by meidui
Tony gave Steve everything in the divorce. Their beautiful Brooklyn brownstone and everything in it, Tony's beloved Audi, their private garden upstate. Tony even offered him the lakehouse, but Steve had looked up at him with red eyes and begged softly for him to stop.
Tony gave Steve everything, every last piece of himself. He didn't take much with him when he flew out to his mansion in Malibu, but he took every last piece of Steve, too.
This ached and hurt me in the best ways and then it put me back together.
you great unfinished symphony (you sent for me) by ketchupcrisp
The last thing Steve Rogers ever expected to see on a Wednesday afternoon was his (their) dead submissive tumbling out of a portal and practically into Phil’s lap, very much alive and frantic about Soul Stones and timelines and some other version of the team.
This is technically poly, but the heavy focus is on Stevetony, and the world-building is just…very very well done. Excellently done.
Forty-Seven Flat by geekymoviemom
Steve Rogers was on the top of the world. He was one of the top students in his class, a world-class athlete, and had a man who loved him. Winning an Olympic Gold Medal seemed like the perfect addition to his picture-perfect life.
But only four years later, Steve’s entire world has come crashing down around him, leaving defending his Olympic title the only thing lying between him and utter ruin.
And then, the unthinkable happens.
I’m a huge fan of superfamily, and sports AU, and this one is so well done--it’s a little unrealistic but fun and made me cry so, winner winner.
Without Irony by tsukinofaerii
Open file TS_762-b.ims... Sometimes, when a drive is completely broken, the only thing to do is wipe it clean and start over. When he wakes up, Tony has no idea who he is, or what he did to end up where he is. Depending on who he talks to, he was a villain or a hero, a genius or a degenerate. What he is now is still up for debate, but it doesn't look like he's going to have much time to figure it out. With a computer in his head screwing up and a country falling to pieces, options are getting limited. Steve The world needs Iron Man a lot more than it needs Tony Stark.
I’m a huge fan of fic that covers Tony’s mind wipe and this one did such a great job of that. And then it follows up with part two (below). I looove this little series so much.
Per Expectations by tsukinofaerii
After the events of Without Irony, Tony wakes up with a freshly rebooted memory and nearly all of his memories from before the deletion and none after. Nearly all isn't nearly enough, and what's missing just might be the most important thing he's ever forgotten. Tony's not sure he wants to remember, but if he doesn't it's going to be the death of him.
Tabula Rasa by Sineala
Sometimes superheroes save the world. And sometimes they're too late.
Captain America's longtime villain Superia had a plan for revenge. She stopped the Avengers from ever finding Steve in the ice, tore the Avengers apart, and turned the world into her own personal authoritarian dystopia. A team made up of Captains America from across the multiverse came to set things right: they united all the remaining superheroes, took down Superia, and made sure the world would find Steve again.
Tony spent Superia's hellish reign as her prisoner, a suicidally-depressed disembodied brain trapped in a jar for years on end, begging the Avengers to kill him and put him out of his misery. The Captain America Corps instead gives him his freedom, a brand-new body, and even the Avengers -- including his very own Captain America. But Tony's not entirely sure he wants to be here. He's walking wounded, and he thinks some wounds are too deep to heal. He thinks there's no chance the Avengers will ever be what they could have been. He thinks there's no way Steve will ever be the friend and partner he could have been on so many other worlds.
Luckily for Tony, Steve happens to disagree with that.
I really loved this. It was sad, and it hurt to read because of how Tony was depicted, but it was just--perfectly done.
The Last Love Song of Anthony E. Stark by jibrailis
After contracting an Asgardian virus, Tony starts forgetting things. And people. And Steve.
This is a fandom classic, and I finally got around to reading it and I was absurdly pleased with it--like it was so much better than I even hoped it’d be.
Relativistic Heat Conduction by BlossomsintheMist
Age of Ultron-based, but not entirely canon compliant. Written for the 2013 Cap-Iron Man Reverse Big Bang. Ultron has attacked, obliterating most of the world's superheroes and resistance in a matter of hours. The remaining heroes band together and share what strength they have to get through it, to survive, and defeat Ultron once and for all. Steve Rogers grieves in the wake of the disaster and the heroes' defeat, and no one knows if he will be able to provide the leadership they need--but Tony Stark isn't about to let him slip away that easily.
This is extremely sad. It was a dark sad read that I loved so much. I especially loved the end--it shouldn’t have been possible to pull off a happy ending, but somehow, it worked, and it was sooooo good.

Writers & Artists Wanted! 💕💸😎
HI, HI, HI!! I'm not really sure how many people are even going to be interested in this—if any at all—BUT! If you're an artist and/or writer who happens to be a fan of Johnny Bravo, you're in luck!
I want to put together a webcomic that will basically be a fan-made Johnny Bravo reboot—and I need YOUR help to do so!
Respectively, under this cut are details on:
1) Why I'm putting this project together!
2) What I'm looking for in a co-writer!
3) What I'm looking for in an artist!
4) 💸 Money! 💸
WHY AM I DOING THIS?
Honestly, I have a lot of different reasons, and it'd be hard to sum it all up in just one paragraph. So take this long-winded monologue.
Obviously, the original series was not meant to be taken seriously whatsoever. It's just a silly (if somewhat dated) cartoon. But the general concept of the show itself—tackling toxic masculinity and showcasing how it can affect your life and those around you—is, in my opinion, an extremely important one that has a lot of great potential to be utilized.
Most characters in the show don't really have a solid personality, being shaped to fit whatever was most suitable for the episode at hand—but, that said, it's still uniquely interesting to see each character interact with one another, to see how they play off each other. Even though their personalities aren't always 100% concise, you can still get the gist of any of the characters' general feel and concept nonetheless, and it's that aspect that ties together each character's dynamic with one another as well as it does. The writing of the show and characters are very flexible, but seeing how Johnny interacts with the people around him—and the company he keeps around on a regular basis, like Mama, Suzy, Carl & Pops—brings a truly peaceful semblance of continuity and community to the show that it would likely lack under any other circumstance.
So, there's quite a few different reasons I want to do this webcomic!
Johnny Bravo, for both the series and the character, has a lot of great potential to be even more amazing than it already is. There are times when I hate the show, and there are times when I absolutely adore it. Of course, that said, I'm just one person, and everyone's opinions are different, and that's perfectly fine—but, ideally, I'm trying to recreate the series in a way that I (and hopefully others as well) can fully adore.
Going further off the first point, the show's general concept and message is a good one, but the execution of it is a bit messy, and there are honestly so many offensive stereotypes and jokes that certain episodes are almost a little hard to watch sometimes. And the writing in some episodes are just, arguably, not very good (especially in the 4th season, although I loved it too for its own reasons). Not only am I trying to recreate the series to be better written, but also to use it as a means of spreading more positive messages—both to a younger audience and the older. One of my favorite parts of consuming and producing media is the fact that it can genuinely impact the way a person views the world, even if only a little. If I have even the slightest chance of doing that with this comic, even if it's just one other person in the entire world, I'll probably be the happiest man on the planet!
Some people oftentimes like to say that a show such as Johnny Bravo could never be rebooted or remade in today's world. In my opinion, when it comes to writing and fiction, almost anything is possible if it's done well enough. I'm also just very full of spite. So, I'm trying to prove those people wrong.
My beef is not just with the people mentioned above, but also with the select few people who do defend the original series completely. You know, the ones who say there's absolutely nothing wrong with Johnny's behavior towards women, some of the show's writing in general, etc. Like I said, I honestly don't really expect this comic to do that well, and I'm mostly doing it for myself anyway, BUT… imagine if it does, and the dudebros start crying over the fact that Johnny Bravo is """woke""" now. The sheer amount of temper tantrums from the Andr*w T*te wannabes. I think it'd be a little funny tbh. Just a bit.
I lurk the Johnny Bravo tag in silence almost every single day (because I am mentally ill clearly). And lately, I've noticed a small uptick in Carl Chryniszzwics appreciation, as well as the JB series as a whole! Which, granted, is not much, because the Johnny Bravo community isn't very big. But nonetheless… Carl :) I like him a lot. Rest assured he is going to be a major part of this story too.
Honestly, I've just wanted to do this for YEARS now. This is a very, very big passion project for me!
NOW! With all that said, I am still quite a ways away from getting started on this project. The original plan was to do this all by myself—but, to be entirely honest, I don't think I can. For one, I'm nowhere near confident enough in my art skills to be drawing comics 😭 Writing, sure! But definitely not art. As much as I wish I could pull this entire comic series off single-handedly, I just don't think that's going to be possible for me.
WRITERS
In terms of writing, I'm honestly pretty confident in my style in itself, but my trouble mostly lies within the fact that I'm just not very good at coming up with storyline ideas. I don't think this series needs to have a huge, complicated plot or anything—but I would like to have at least a little continuity for this. Just a smidge, at least. A margin, if you will. Which is pretty inconvenient for me, funnily enough, because I'm not used to writing with continuity at all!
There's also the simple fact that I have never worked on a webcomic before. The most I've ever written are short stories, and those are just words. To be quite honest, I am not entirely sure what I'm doing! So, it'd honestly be nice to have at least one writer working with me on this that can help me come up with new and improved ideas in terms of story, as well as give me any sort of feedback they see fit for the story/characters!
ARTISTS
Like I've mentioned, I have absolutely no experience with webcomics whatsoever, just to be entirely transparent. I'm not even really sure how to structure a comic properly, no matter how many times I have tried before.
So, ideally, if you're interested in making art for this project, it would be helpful if you already have some sort of experience with making comics. I CAN draw a rough outline of the scenes you'll be drawing if you need some sort of direction, if you'd like me to, but that's up to you!
Along with this, I would prefer that the art style is drawn in a similar style to the show! It doesn't have to be 100% accurate, and please feel free to add your own flair to it!! But also, that said, if you're still interested but cannot emulate the show's style at all, that's alright too—it's more of a preference, but not a total requirement! I'll take whatever I can get honestly!
MONEY
So obviously if I'm hoping to get other people to work on this project with me, I'm 100% going to be willing to pay you for your work with me.
Please keep in mind this is mostly a passion project, nothing professional (if that wasn't obvious by now lmao). That being said, I know art and writing takes a LOT of time and effort, and you deserve to be paid as such.
So, for writers and artists, the prices will be up to YOU!
Mostly because I'm not really sure what prices qualify as too much/too little for these sorts of things. So just tell me what prices you see fit for your work, and I will be sure to pay you for what you do!
Along with this, in the future, I'm thinking of implementing TIPS! Meaning that anyone who would like to can donate money towards this project.
I'm NOT setting that up just yet, because I want to be 100% sure that I have a stable team and am completely ready for this project to launch before I do that, and obviously the last thing I want to do is be irresponsible with other people's money, so. I'm waiting on that part for now. Right now, I'm planning to pay the writers/artists from my own pocket—but I'm hoping that if the tips work out well enough, I could possibly raise the pay for writers/artists to pay them more for their work! So your money would be going to everyone working on the project if you were to tip any money in the future!
CONTACT & DISCORD
If you are interested in working on this project with me in any way, please feel free to send me a message at any time you'd like!
You can DM me here, but I'll probably reply a lot faster if you contact me on Discord or Twitter!
You are also free to join the discord server for this project, whether you're working on the project or not!

All Systems Red by Martha Wells
Tumblr media
Series: The Murderbot Diaries, #1 Read time: 1 Day Rating: 5/5
The quote: Granted, I liked the imaginary people on the entertainment feed way more than I liked real ones, but you can’t have one without the other. — Murderbot
Oh Murderbot... you are definitely something and I feel for you. This book feels like it can be used as a metaphor for LGBTQ identities. There are some aspects of the story that feel very aroace. Murderbot doesn't talk about their feelings but you can see the coding coming through. They are part human, and part bot but it's not a simple 50/50 split, one of their very bot traits is their lack of sexual organs. "I don’t have any gender or sex-related parts (if a construct has those you’re a sexbot in a brothel, not a murderbot) so maybe that’s why I find sex scenes boring. Though I think that even if I did have sex-related parts I would find them boring." (Murderbot). I honestly think quite a lot of people with LGBTQ identities may relate to this on some level. Oh and bonus point they are also coded autistic and in a semi-flirtatious, semi-argumentative relationship with an asshole AI called ART.
All Systems Red is wonderful and I can see where its popularity comes from and it is deserving of the praise it has received. It may be a short work but it is brilliantly written. Readable and engaging with a variety of enjoyable characters and a promise of great lore. The self-contained story and the way in which it is framed are so very well done. Murderbot themselves makes you care and is well developed they grow over time even if it is a novella. The ending becomes that growth honours it. I really do adore the framing of All Systems Red, and I would suspect The Murderbot Diaries more widely. The whole book is a message to a single character, in this case, Dr Mensah, I'm guessing the character may change from book to book as Murderbot moves through the universe.
This is a book with some fantastic quotes in it. I want to share them. All quotes are by Murderbot. • With my cracked governor there was nothing to stop me, but not letting anybody, especially the people who held my contract, know that I was a free agent was kind of important. Like, not having my organic components destroyed and the rest of me cut up for parts important. — The tracked chip is how Murderbot is how they are sentient. I like this total sense of self and the way Wells jas phrased it. I can hear it. • The sense of urgency just wasn’t there. Also, you may have noticed, I don’t care. — Even when Murderbot does care they are a pessimist. Honestly, it is kinda me. Sorta. The lack of urgency is in Murderbot wanting to do their job. • Yes, talk to Murderbot about its feelings. The idea was so painful I dropped to 97 percent efficiency. — Love the computer terminology used throughout this, you are never given the option or opportunity to forget that Murderbot is a bot. Even with their name there are things like how they track time and their hobbies that are so tech. • This is why I didn’t want to come. I’ve got four perfectly good humans here and I didn’t want them to get killed by whatever took out DeltFall. It’s not like I cared about them personally, but it would look bad on my record, and my record was already pretty terrible. — For a character that doesn't care about people, who is largely apathetic at times, it is interesting to watch the changes to Murderbot as time goes on as the develop some kind of bond with their humans. • And in their corner all they had was Murderbot, who just wanted everyone to shut up and leave it alone so it could watch the entertainment feed all day. — Tell me this isn't totally accurate at times? • I hate having emotions about reality; I’d much rather have them about Sanctuary Moon. — Now this is a mood. Sanctuary Moon is Murderbot's favourite TV show/ net drama. And oh I emotions about tv are so much easier to deal with.
I appreciate the world that Martha Wells has started building here. The follow-up answers a question posed in this piece. It allows for more exploration of the world Wells has created for Muderbot, now that the basic premise and introductions have been established.
Also total respect to @alex-van-gore for their fantastic art of Murderbot. The tag is well work checking out.

Since I know you’re finishing soon, just like with the end CXGF, you finished! Now what was your fav? Like fav episode or moment or character, or just not even your favorite. Just what are your thoughts on this epic epic show?
Thank you for the ask! And for encouraging me to finally watch this masterpiece <3
To be honest, it’s always difficult for me to explain why I like certain things, because in most cases I simply don’t have any reasons, I just like it subconsciously x) Anyway, I’ll try to share my general thoughts, plus a few of my favourite things, divided into categories (like a character, episode, season, etc) so as to keep it structured.
Here we go!
General thoughts: this is a fantastic show. I can clearly see why people praise it so much and note that many other TV shows should look up at it, especially in terms of storytelling, character development, and world building (I even saw how fandom creators take this show as an example when it comes to creating something themselves, so I, as a creative soul~, can say that I also took something from it).
I read a few reviews on this show and I noticed that many people pointed out that this show didn’t hook them then since the very beginning because it was a bit childish but assured that it did get better eventually. As for me, it really hooked me since the first episode, because it already seemed super dynamic and as I kept watching it, I was truly amazed by the variety of the adventures the main characters had and how many subjects this show brought up. One of the reasons I love animation is that it can balance out serious mature topics with childish lightness so as to keep it enjoyable for everyone and I think ATLA does it perfectly.
I think it really all I can say. This is a very well-written show, and I love how consistent it is in terms of storytelling. It rarely has pointless episodes and makes a fantastic job on its characters, all of whom have clear personalities and dynamic stories (arcs) on their own. It talks about mature important subjects, and I’m just weak for the pieces of media that create their own universes because I love digging into the lore (and it’s really possible to talk ATLA lore for hours).
Favourite character: as I already mentioned, Sokka! He’s amazing.
I don’t want to talk too much about him because I might get repetitive but to put it simply, I love how multilayered Sokka actually is. He’s a fun guy with a boomerang on the surface but if you look inside, you can see how smart, brave, protective, and caring he is. He’s a leader, a strategist, a warrior, and I suppose I simply have a thing for the characters like him x) (and you can’t imagine how much I feel him in those scenes when he rushes his friends to be focused on the mission, especially when Katara gets distracted by helping some random villagers and he says something like, “Katara! We have more important things to do!” and I just shout at the screen, “YES”).
My second fave is Iroh! He caught my eye since the episode one, because, I don’t know, he just seemed genuinely funny and enjoyable to me x) But as I kept watching the show, I started noticing how wise, caring, loving, and kind he is, and my love to him reached the top somewhere in season 2 when he and Zuko got much more sweet uncle/nephew moments. And can I just say that his reunion with Zuko legit made me shed a tear 😭
And my third fave, to make it Top-3, is Zuko! I think I was quite indifferent to him in season 1 but started seeing much more in him in season 2 when he was trying to find his true path and was rushing between searching for Aang and having a peaceful life. And I absolutely love him in season 3. The way he rehearsed his meeting with Aang (“Hi. My name is Zuko”) was adorable :’D
Favourite season: I don’t think I can explain why but for some reason season 2 was the most memorable to me. It has so many cool things, from the introduction of the new characters to absolutely fantastic Zuko’s arc. And for absolutely no reason I really can recall many episodes and their titles from this one without looking up, even though it’s been quite a while since I finished season 2 (and by saying it, I don’t mean season 1 and 3 weren’t memorable and I don’t like them; just season 2 brought me more emotions, I suppose).
Favourite episodes: I’ll list a few ones from each season because for now I’m not sure which episode is my ultimate fave.
Season 1 - The Storm, The Blue Spirit, The Great Divide.
Season 2 - Zuko Alone, The Swamp (I LOVE this one a lot!!), The Chase, The Crossroads of Destiny.
Season 3 - Sokka’s Master, The Puppetmaster, The Day of Black Sun (two parts), The Firebending Masters, The Boiling Rock.
Favourite ship: I… don’t have one? Even if we take canon ones into account, I don’t really feel anything towards them. Sokka/Yue certainly have a beautiful and tragic story, but I don’t think about them that often. Sokka/Suki are nice, too, but that’s all I can say. Zuko/Mai… I’m not sure how they even became a couple. Aang/Katara don’t really bring anything to me either.
I’m pretty sure that Zuko/Sokka is quite popular in the fandom but I just don’t see it, I’m sorry.
So yeah, I don’t have a fave ship, but if anyone has opinions to share with me, I’d love to hear them. I’m quite open-minded at this point.
Favourite moments: akjajdkf I don’t think I can recall many. I really need to watch this show at least one more time for that. Anyway, the ones that come to my mind are (random order):
Iroh and Zuko’s reunion, as I already mentioned. This scene made me cry. CRY. ME. I rarely cry while watching/reading anything, so it really speaks a lot (it reminds me that Esteban’s sacrifice in Coronation Day made me cry, too. I literally had to pause before continuing to watch because I couldn’t stop sobbing ajhsjdkf).
Sokka’s battle with Piandao in “Sokka’s Master”.
Literally all flashbacks scenes in “Zuko Alone.”
Ice dodging in “Bato of the Water Tribe.”
Hama's story and bloodbending in “The Puppetmaster” (that’s so creepy and fantastic).
Zuko and Aang perform the firebending technique to the dragons in “The Firebending Masters.”
Aaaand this is really all I can recall for now x) Those are not necessarily my most favourite moments, just the ones that were off the top of my head at the moment.
Well, I think that’s it! To conclude, I just want to say I really loved this show (and now I don’t feel awkward for never watching it anymore XD), these characters, this world, and basically everything. It was a super enjoyable watch and I’d love to rewatch it someday! (maybe even showing to my sister to watch it together)
Thank you for the ask again and sorry that it took me quite long to get to it!

Omg what's your story graph?
It’s @ Augenstern :) (maybe I’ll have to change it to Museenkuss to stay on brand, but that’s where we’re currently at)
And you didn’t ask but the review is in German (it was a German book) and rereading it now made me giggle, so, if you want, here’s a translation of my review of “der Teezauberer” (the tea magician) by Ewald Arenz:
A tiny bit of context on the book since I give absolutely none (very stream of consciousness review): guy sells tea, adores tea and loves tea. He has a wife (who mostly appears sleeping next to him) and a child (no name) that he loves, maybe, and fantasises about leaving and/or cheating on the whole book before deciding to stop cheating in the end. He has magic powers that change the temperature of the room when he reads about tea. As he lives through his midlife crisis (at 30), he starts thinking there’s no more magic in the world etc and he should just leave his family to live with “the woman from Portugal” whom he read about as a kid and dreamt about ever since. Instead, he cheats on his wife with a bunch of other women. The world around him changes as he becomes more depressed, everyone starts dressing like historical figures (and mafia bosses…? That was so absurd) and riding horses, steam trains pop up etc etc. the magical realism could’ve been fun if the book had been written by someone else. I get what it was trying to do (love conquers all and doesn’t have to be perfect), but it sucked. Anyhow:
“He should’ve just written a book about tea and tea history, because it wasn’t enough for fiction [as in, the author didn’t have the means to write fiction]. In itself some ideas have potential (the concept of people magically change based on an inner force/need), but the execution was poor.
‘Whenever the protagonist reads or speaks certain words, the world around him changes’ — It seems as if the author has read inkheart, and now pretends he came up with the idea himself. Unfortunately it lacks the charm of inkheart. Everything is thrown together arbitrarily, the plot lags and falters. Yea is ordered desperately, only to be ignored for ages, then all tea cups are shattered and the longer-after tea is copied perfectly in a heroic session of tea-mixing. No stakes, no satisfying conclusion — and that’s a constant feature of all those vaguely interconnected episodes. Then the little pedophilic episode at the circus in the fog? It’s all very senseless.
But the worst part is how perfectly the book mirrors its own shortcomings. One [<- makes sense in German as a way to politely avoid saying “the author”] is ALMOST self aware enough to realise that none of the characters have any sense or purpose outside of being extras in this book about the protagonist. Nobody loved the protagonists brother as much as the protagonist, which is why we only learn about his existence on his funeral (on page 70), in a speech that’s about the main character. Then he is subsequently never mentioned again. His name? Age? Personality? Doesn’t matter.
All in all — a book about a protagonist who fantasises about cheating on his wife without qualities who adores him for no reason with a bunch of cliches. A domina who can only be tamed by him (and loves him). A literal dream woman (who loves him). A child? (That loves him).
And all of this written in a very kitschy writing style, packed full of metaphors that don’t make sense most of the time (someone peels themselves out of the fog as if out of fabric?).
Unfortunate.”

yet another writing ask: 4, 8, 10, 19, 33, 36, and 39!
you have sent me an absolute feast, thank you!!
(send me another writing ask!)
4. Do you have any OCs? Do you have a story for them?
yes! they tend to be tied to games/worlds rather than specific storylines - for example, a bunch of my favourite OCs in the past few years have been NPCs that i've played as DM in my dnd campaigns. i have a handful of original worlds too :)
8. How slow is a slow burn?
as slow as one prefers, really, though i admit i prefer them pretty fast! i tend to like characters who know what they want and are willing to take the initiative, but there are also very specific flavours of yearning that i find delicious and when they're done well, they can really hit
10. Top three favourite fic tropes
i love a good hurt/comfort, i definitely think catharsis is something i'm always looking for in fic. i like pretty much any sort of situation that can lead to a "dubious consent" tag, because those are always interesting (and/or hot) to explore. and i absolutely adore vampire/werewolf AUs and i am not sorry about it
19. Share a snippet from a wip without giving any context for it.
"Has Wulf found the body?"
"No." Body, singular. Things were more dire than they thought. "How many got away?"
"None," Astrid said grimly. "But that is already enough."
Essek blinked. The room felt small. "When they do not report back, somebody will know you're alive."
She stared at him for a moment, as if suddenly seeing him again for the first time. "Why are you sitting here? He could have left a cat. A dozen cats."
"I'm sure he did." They had a habit of appearing out of the shadows. Essek put the book aside. "Will you call Eadwulf back?"
"He's not a dog," Astrid said, and she laid back down.
Essek could think of nothing else to say. After a few minutes, even to his carefully disinterested eye, Astrid seemed to be perfectly asleep.
33. Give your writing a compliment.
no one is as good as i am at writing the way i do! it's something i've been talking over a lot with a friend recently, and it's a driving philosophy behind my enjoyment of writing. it's so satisfying to make something and know that i was the only person who could have made it as such
36. How do you come up with fic titles? What’s the one you’re most proud of?
fic titles were one of my great projects of 2023 (and are still, if only i actually posted anything) because tbh my writing is cluttered with half-assed titles taken from songs and poems that i can't even differentiate myself. i've read a lot of poetry in the past year with the idea that it could help me; realistically, i just lie around for weeks after finishing a fic moaning about thinking of a title while everyone else is like "okay, yes, but we want to read it though"
honey melt might win the accolade because it's the only title i can think of that i actually like that isn't derivative 😭
39. Wildest AU scenario you have written?
i mean. listen. you know what it is. it's like 90k published words long (not all of which are mine anymore!) and i still barely understand why i did it. i don't write particularly wild AUs in the first place so its very existence is what makes it insane !!
