"You wouldn't last an hour in the asylum where they raised me."
Somehow I don't think this is where Taylor Swift was raised.
Asylums we centers of horrific abuse, primarily of disabled people.
They were tied or chained up.
They were experimented on.
They were sexually abused and raped.
They were beaten.
They were degraded.
They were neglected.
They were murdered.
Asylums served as a way to hide away people with disabilities from society, pretend they never existed, and leave them to die alone, afraid, and in pain. Many having little to no idea why.
The fact that Taylor Swift, an able bodied, neurotypical billionaire who has never encountered even a fraction of the oppression asylum victims did and disabled people still do, thinks this is an acceptable metaphor is nothing short of selfish, vile, out of touch ableism.
She is profiting off of the abuse and the murder of disabled people. She's making light of their abuse by comparing it to her cushy, well to do childhood.
Let's take a look at Taylor Swift's "asylum":
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Huge house. Huge yard. Detached two-car garage. In ground pool.
This is not an asylum. It's a home. She had a home. She had her family around her. That family did what they could to support her and make her successful.
That is not asylum life.
She was not experimented on by doctors who believed she was incapable of thinking or feeling. She was not left for dead because nobody could be bothered to clean and feed her when she was incapable of doing so herself. She was not denied access to society or human connection. She was not murdered for being disabled.
Might she have been abused? Sure. Abuse does not make an asylum.
This lyric is nothing short of ableist, and it demonstrates with incredible clarity that Taylor Swift only supports minorities when it makes her look good and suits her purposes. She doesn't care about actually being informed about oppression or being a good person. She'll use minorities in whatever ways she believe will rake in the most profit. She doesn't care who she hurts, as long as she adds another couple millions to her billions.
It's time to demand some real accountability.

Idk I just really wanted to give them Deltarune Dark World forms.
They're based on a combination of their anime forms, Wakko's Wish and the actual characters from Deltarune.
I realized like halfway through this that they all have the opposite personalities of the characters they represent lmao.

Danny knows he can get a bit hyper focused. Especially if it concerns him personally. So maybe he didn’t notice that other places also had ghost problems. So what? He fixed it didn’t he. He even said sorry, all right. He will pay more attention from now on.
The Justice League, probably: It’s alright, we forgive you, but what did you do with them?

Only time yall will ever see me post about AI on this blog:
I'm glad that most people aren't treating Character.ai the same as something like Stable Diffusion. Online writers are way less protective of their work than digital artists. Maybe in individual cases there are exceptions, but by and large it is not the same at all.
With that said though, it always struck me as weird that fanfiction writers legally can not make money off their work, yet it *is* legal to use fics to train chat bots and then charge a fee to use those bots. Just incredibly weird.

Several German prisons experiment with letting convicted rapists close to finishing their sentences go to brothels as a form of "therapy to learn sexual interactions with women that are free of violence".
No woman is "experimental ground" for rapists.
Look, I really get that people want women in the sex trade to get the same societal respect as e.g. psychotherapists and that's why many push for the "sex work is healing work" narrative. But most of the implementation looks more like "prostituted women are rape fodder".
This is a result of framing prostitution as "therapy for men". If men can get psychotherapy in prison why not sexual therapy? A therapist may help them work on social skills - according to several German prison wards a woman in prostitution should teach him not to rape. Insanity.
Going into a brothel to learn about consent is the most upside down idea ever. In most of these scenarios they did not inform the women so they had no idea they were facing a convicted rapist. Like with any john they had to pretend to enjoy it no matter how gross or torturous.
There was some pushback against the policy of letting men convicted rapists violent crimes use prostitution as "rehabilitative therapy" after a man imprisoned for brutally killing his girlfriend out on day parole murdered Marylène Lévesque, a 22-year-old woman in a Quebec brothel

So without getting into what a garbage bag of a human Elon Musk is, and also how he isn't smart, doesn't have an engineering degree, isn't an inventor, etc etc...
i see the headline that his neuralink brain chip has been implanted into the first human brain. (NPR) (Al Jazeera)
OK and without getting into the dodgy ethics of this even apart from all the dead monkeys, like a LOT of dead monkeys... (like holy shit it's at least 12 monkeys and over 1,500 animals including sheep, pigs, and monkeys) (like OMG HOLY SHIT they don't even keep precise records on the numbers of animals tested and killed?? this is monstrously immoral) (source)
left unchecked i worry this is going to end like Dollhouse. (a 15 year old TV series you should watch, which doesn't have any monkeys) and why is Musk doing all this? that answer is in The Fall of the House of Usher (a recent streaming series you should watch, although there are definitely monkeys in it).
(semi related on the recommendation of my dentist i bought an electric toothbrush. damn thing wants to be bluetooth paired to its app. an app!! it's a fucking toothbrush it doesn't need to be connected to jack shit.)
anyways, everything Musk touches goes to shit (or goes up in flames) so even if there was some timeline where this is a good use of technology and it helps people - he's going to run the company poorly and it will hurt people. just like it's already hurt a ton of animals. where is the independent verification of their claims that the human is "recovering well?" where is the oversight? Take a moment to really think about what is happening with conditions like Myocarditis, Pericarditis, Bell's Palsy, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, and Ramsay Hunt Syndrome.
These are not just rare occurrences anymore and it is annoying as they are becoming all too common. And then there is the rise of what some are calling 'turbo cancers, for the past year' where aggressive cancers are showing up suddenly, often in people who seemed perfectly healthy. Even heart diseases are on the rise, affecting younger people who should have had years of good health ahead of them.
As someone who’s spent time digging into what is really going on, especially when it comes to Big Pharma, I cannot help but see a pattern.
These pharmaceutical companies have so much power and influence, and they are not always transparent about the risks their products pose.
What we are seeing now is the fallout from that lack of accountability, and it is something we cannot ignore.
We need to start asking the tough questions and holding these people responsible before more lives are affected.

And now the 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘀 are coming to light, as are horrific accounts of torture and medical experimentation on civilian detainees (at least, they're "coming to light" in that an Israeli finally spoke out after months of Palestinians talking about it and being ignored).
𝗭𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝘀𝗿𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝘀𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝗰𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲, 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝘁.
"Never again" was a 𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗱-𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗲. It is happening again right now, and a majority of the west alongside the Christian right are cheering it on.
𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘅𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲.
𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐂𝐍𝐍'𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭:
Rows of men in gray tracksuits are seen sitting on paper-thin mattresses, ringfenced by barbed wire. 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗱, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘃𝘆 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀.
A putrid stench filled the air and the room hummed with the men’s murmurs, the Israeli who was at the facility told CNN. Forbidden from speaking to each other, the detainees mumbled to themselves.
“We were told they were not allowed to move. They should sit upright. They’re not allowed to talk. Not allowed to peek under their blindfold.”
Guards were instructed “to scream uskot” – shut up in Arabic – and told to “𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺,” 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗱.
...
According to the accounts, the facility some 18 miles from the Gaza frontier is split into two parts: enclosures where around 70 Palestinian detainees from Gaza are placed under extreme physical restraint, and a field hospital where 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗱𝘀, 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘄𝘀.
“They stripped them down of anything that resembles human beings,” said one whistleblower, who worked as a medic at the facility’s field hospital.
“(The beatings) were not done to gather intelligence. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲,” said another whistleblower. “It was punishment for what they (the Palestinians) did on October 7 and punishment for behavior in the camp.”
...
CNN has requested permission from the Israeli military to access the Sde Teiman base. Last month, a CNN team covered a small protest outside its main gate staged by Israeli activists demanding the closure of the facility. Israeli security forces questioned the team for around 30 minutes there, demanding to see the footage taken by CNN’s photojournalist. 𝗜𝘀𝗿𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗼𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀, 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝘀.
...
The camps are part of the infrastructure of Israel’s Unlawful Combatants Law, an amended legislation passed by the Knesset last December that expanded the military’s authority to detain suspected militants.
...
For that, al-Ran said he was given a special privilege: his blindfold was removed. He said this was another kind of hell.
“Part of my torture was being able to see how people were being tortured,” he said. “At first you couldn’t see. You couldn’t see the torture, the vengeance, the oppression.
“𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝘆 𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗱, 𝗜 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 … 𝗜 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝗮𝘄 𝘂𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝘀.”
...
Whistleblower accounts portrayed a different kind of horror at the Sde Teiman field hospital.
“What I felt when I was dealing with those patients is an idea of total vulnerability,” said one medic who worked at Sde Teiman.
“𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲, 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗱, 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱,” 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱. “𝗜 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗻, 𝗶𝗳 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼, 𝗽𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲.”
Another whistleblower said he was ordered to 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝘀 for which he was not qualified.
“𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, performing minor medical procedures that are totally outside my expertise,” he said, adding that this was frequently done without anesthesia.
“If they complained about pain, they would be given paracetamol,” he said, using another name for acetaminophen.
...
“𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗲.”
He asked the doctor to find his wife and kids in Gaza. “He asked me to tell them that it is better for them to be martyrs,” said al-Ran. “𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲.”
