My OC Miko drawn for my animation class! I'm excited to get to use her and create even more with her! Loved doing the turnaround and even the expressions! There are definitely things i wanna change and iron out but i'll get there! wanna start posting more here especially for lore reasons (and because twitter and insta have been crapping on artists)

World: In Hand

For this art piece. I was originally going to have my character, Reanna, on a moon staring out at her home (Gaia).

However, the artwork took a different turn, and in all honesty, I kind of like this one more than the original sketch. I still have the original idea, though. So I may do something with that at a later date. This art piece, "World: In Hand" (originally was going to be titled the more appropriate, "On: The Moon") was inspired by a remix of BLOW's song, "You Killed Me on the Moon".

I was browsing youtube one day looking for various versions of "You Killed Me on the Moon" and came across Roman Kouder's Remix, and well, everything bloomed from there. For this art piece, the area I'm most proud of is the illusion of transparency provided by the limb suspending Reanna in space.

I think I did a fairly decent job at sugesting the transparency. One of my regrets was that it came out more glass/ice-like than I would have liked. The limb is supposed to be more ethereal, ghost-like. My second regret is that I didn't truly complete the art piece. It appears to be finished, but there are certainly things I could have done differently, or better. Areas I could have paid more attention to, etc etc... Regardless, after all the effort I put into this, it doesn't desevre to rot in 'WIP Hell'.

Otani expression sheet. I wanted to explore different faces and attitudes he might display on the battlefield (mostly silly). It was nice trying these out, and I can't wait to get back to him to try out more expressions, not just for others to react to but for his friends and enemies alike.

Kae! ✨🐸

So this is the second character I designed for my animation class to pair with Miko and be in the same universe! She's a little frog that was mutated with human DNA! She is a short-fused, chaos-driven, gremlin character. She's basically like the annoying little sister. She is younger than Miko by a few years! (still ironing out the details) She also loves J-Pop and K-Pop. Her vibes are so chaotic and can you imagine a scene where she's killing people and you just got the most upbeat Hatsune Miku jams going on??? Yes.

Kae or Kaeru (based on the Japanese word for frog) is also a trained assassin. She's graceful and a lead foot with guns and killing. She has a blood lust that you wouldn't guess 👀

I've had ideas for her but I still need her full backstory because as of right now I'm having her be from another Yakuza faction sent to find and kill Miko, but even though Kae is a killer, she meets Miko, and just can't kill her, showing she has a morality. Miko and Kae are almost like Anti-Heroes. Miko for sure is an Anti-Hero while Kae is on the fence.

I haven't decided on Kae's weapons (besides pistols) so still need to figure that out because she definitely knows martial arts of some form. I'm really excited to flesh out their story. I've even been told to reference parts of Miko's story for the TMNT universe because why not, take what I like for my own characters! So I might just do that!
