Canon Characters Meet Ocs Event!

This event centers around canon characters from various fandoms (will be listed below) meeting your oc (from any fandom) or you can request that one of mine meet a canon character instead.

Rules:

: ̗̀➛ You can only use one of your (or my) ocs per request.

: ̗̀➛ Only 5 canon characters allowed per request (make sure to add which fandom they're from if you include characters from different fandoms).

: ̗̀➛ You have to use at least one emoji from my regular request requirements list (generally just follow what that says to do for requests).

: ̗̀➛ Add what timeline your chosen fandom is in. Is it in the beginning of when the fandom started or at some other point?

: ̗̀➛ Make sure to add that your request is for the event. For example:

"[Insert greeting here (optional)] Can I request [your request here] for the canon character meets ocs event?" Or something similar like that; just make sure that includes that it's for the event.

: ̗̀➛ Add what kind of interaction you want your/my oc to have with the characters you chose. Will they fight or are they just hanging out? If they're from separate worlds, are they sharing what their worlds are like and exploring? Also, you can include who you think your oc would get along with or who they wouldn't get along with, stuff like that.

Welcome to today's epic tournament of epicness: in this expertly crafted series of polls, you will be voting for tumblr user aseriesofunfortunatejan's ULTIMATE BLORBO.

Who are these characters? - Each "blorbo" will be introduced alongside their own propaganda in the body of their poll. - These are not necessarily my favourite characters, but rather characters I have identified as being a "blorbo" based on my personal scale of what qualifies as a blorbo. For example, a lot of people might know that Shinguuji isn't my favourite Danganronpa character, but he's the one I enjoy spinning at high velocity the most. - This is for funsies so if you think someone else should have applied because I won't shut up about them, I could always do this again in the future.

This upcoming September 15, I’m going to be opening requests for MATCHUPS ONLY.

Fear not, I will open up requests for character interactions, x readers, introspection, etc. but that will occur this upcoming October. Life has been a little hectic and I’m actually working on three wips for three separate fandoms and I’m hoping on debuting them this upcoming September and October. If you follow my Devin_Trinidad account on ao3, you’re going to be seeing them soon.

— Random update —

I've kind of decided to take a break writing for this blog in particular. I'm definitely not disappearing or anything, I'm still going to be ON this blog, but I might not be posting writing much like I used to. However, I haven't stopped writing for Akudama Drive, I'm just not sure if I want to post it anywhere or not..?

I have made a private blog with a password to post things as sort of an archive, so maybe I'll post some of the things I write there over here when I'm up to it? Or I'll think about posting it to AO3 (although honestly the format over there makes me feel... sad? ...like I'm writing an essay rather than a fanfic— even just copy pasting my work there feels like a chore to me— maybe I'm doing it wrong though)

Anyways, I'll pop in on here and leave asks // requests open in case anything sparks my interest or somebody wants to say something. It always sucks when a fandom you just joined or fell in love with is dead, so having a spot to come to that isn't might feel comforting? I'm still very in love with Akudama Drive, so this decision has nothing to do with me losing interest.

AND a HUGE thank you to anyone who reads, likes, reblogs, comments...I read all feedback and I love interacting with everyone here! Y'all are super nice and it honestly kept me motivated to keep posting here!

Small ramble, but hearing praise for my Cutthroat content always makes me extremely happy because he is my favorite !! I guarantee it makes my day whenever someone comments or reblogs something involving him and I hope I was able to give someone something to enjoy since ....there isn't a lot of x reader content for Akudama Drive. (Surprisingly as this was at one point a popular anime I thought-)

.....it also makes my day when my Courier content gets love....If it weren't for this blog, I wouldn't have loved him as much as I do now so I really, REALLY thank my Courier lovers for motivating me to learn his character and for turning him into a favorite for me. You know what, thank you for making me love all the characters even more. Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card - Cardcaptor Sakura is one of the most popular shoujo. And since anime with multiple seasons are counted as one, the year the first season was released is what will be checked. Season 1 of CCS was released in 1998, so it’s disqualified from this tournament.

Delicious Party Precure - This show is apparently part of an extremely popular franchise. The propaganda for it was also not enough.

Dr. Stone - One of the recent mainstream anime. Ranked #54 on MAL for popularity with over 1 million members.

Kyoukai no Kanata - Has over a million members on MAL, rated by over 500k people, and is ranked #122 in terms of popularity. Also has 9.7k tag followers on Tumblr, which is very high compared to the other accepted shows

Mekakucity Actors - the anime itself isn’t popular, but Kagerou Project, the Vocaloid music video series which it is based on, is extremely popular. #kagerou project has 14k tag followers.

Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai - Doesn’t have that many fics on AO3, but it ranks #52 on MAL in terms of popularity and has over 1M in both MAL users and members. Also has 1.4k tag followers on Tumblr—not a big number but still indicates an active fandom.

Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight - Although it’s rated low on MAL, it’s apparently quite popular on Tumblr. It won against the very popular Sailor Moon in another poll tournament with over 9k votes.

Tai Chi Chasers - Submitter either made a mistake or outright lied about the year this show was released. They stated 2011, but the actual year is 2007. That’s before 2010, which disqualifies it from this tournament.

Tian Guan Ci Fu/Heaven Official’s Blessing - made it to Tumblr’s top AniManga fandoms. It was ranked #14 in 2021 and #16 in 2022.
