How I Earned a 769 Credit Score at 23
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I believe that understanding the ins and outs of managing our finances is essential in our quest for leveling up in life. After all, what good is achieving our dreams if we're not equipped with the knowledge and tools to sustain and grow our success? So how did I do it?
1. Living with parents while in school
While I had the advantage of fewer bills to pay, I still encountered challenges in managing my finances effectively. In the past, I used to blow money like it was nothing, with little to no savings to show for it. However, recognizing the opportunity to change my habits, I embarked on a journey of financial education, starting with reading "Rich Dad Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki. Over the course of 6-12 months, I diligently saved and invested most of my income, laying the groundwork for my financial future. This disciplined approach not only helped me build a healthy relationship with money but also demonstrated to the bank that I was responsible and capable of handling a credit card. It was only after this period of financial growth and learning that I felt confident enough to apply for my first credit card. After being rejected 3 times prior!
2. Become Delusional as F**k
The biggest change in my relationship with money came when I realized that it's not inherently bad; I have a good relationship with money, and money works for me—this is my reality i lived in even during the times I was broke. I remained delusional in my belief that financialsuccess for me was attainable, and remarkably, it worked. This perspective empowered me to view money as a tool for creating wealth rather than something to fear. I learned to use a credit card to work for me, not as a slave to debt, and discovered how to leverage debt to make more money. This shift in mindset helped me overcome financial fears and embrace opportunities for growth.

How to make a credit card work for you
Keep Low Credit Utilization:
Aim to keep your credit card balances low relative to your credit limits. This utilization ratio should ideally be below 30%, with lower percentages being even better. High credit utilization can negatively impact your credit score.
Pay On Time, DONT MISS PAYMENTS
Consistently paying your credit card bills on time is crucial for maintaining a high credit score. Late payments can significantly damage your credit score and stay on your credit report for years.
Keep Old Accounts Open:
The length of your credit history is an essential factor in determining your credit score. Keeping old credit card accounts open, even if you're not actively using them, can help lengthen your credit history and improve your score.
Monitor Your Credit Report:
Reviewing your credit report allows you to identify any errors or inaccuracies that could be negatively impacting your score. You're entitled to a free credit report from each of the major credit bureaus—Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion—once every 12 months.
Avoid Closing Old Accounts
Closing old credit card accounts can shorten your credit history and reduce your overall available credit, both of which can lower your credit score. Unless the account carries high fees or you're unable to manage it responsibly, consider keeping it open.
Conclusion:
Through disciplined financial habits and strategic planning, I achieved and maintained a high credit score. This journey is only the beginning of my commitment to financial responsibility. i need to stop asking validation from people to make sure my art is okay and comfortable enough out of fear of hurting/harming others but spending years having to have the idea of "if your morals dont come across ur Glorifying Bad Things" like. shoved into my head only for my dashboard to shift gears n be like "what happened to media literacy lol" its just
its exhausting and i want finacial compensation for growing up on such a shitty platform for creatives. i rlly want someone or something to be sorry for it and i dont know how. im constantly angry that i feel the need to be careful when i truly dont or never even cared that much to be.
i want agency over my art again. i never got to have it as a child/teenager growing up n posting online n i wish i could have those years back spent not being suffocated.

Clarity #crackheadhour 4:44
theres gotta be something about the reoccuring dream trope where im climbing up stairs with hourdes of people all going in one direction and my legs are burning and im tired but i feel too much pressure i cant stop, its embarrasing to stop or slow down so i keep doing it and burning myself out
And......the trope of me finding and getting onto elevators and being shot in the air with ease often when im venturing off on my own and trying to "see the water", get out of the stuffy run of the mill claustrophobic boat, taking the elevator to see something magnificent, fresh air, freedom, wish fufillment....
Because i just read the dream where im climbing up but i get around the top and say "why am i doing this, just cause someone told me to why am i climbing in pain?" and sliding down into the snow....
and then of course the catch me dream starts with elevator and ends on me having to trust to fall down....with Liam.
Its gotta be about breaking out of the mold and what the masses are doing, going rogue, doing ur own thing, trusting source to achieve freedom and live in ur manifestations.
I think it also might be depicting how draining the alternative is.
And now im wondering??? If me being that weak in the limbs is related to the wheel chair stuff and cane stuff that Liam had. But im just either letting it get the point, or not using a wheel chair or cane because im not accepting help....or im not willing/taking time to heal.
The other thing is, Liam and i are perfect depictions of masculine and feminine energy and energy deficits being mirrored. If i help him how to see his worth, trust people, love unconditionally, express emotions (balance feminine energy), then he helps me stay organized, be logical, aka financial literacy, and longevity family/home/career plans for stability and providing.
Thats constantly what hes working on perfecting, he feels so less of value without those things squared away and up to his standards, and uses his hyperfixation on work and finances that he neglects his emotions
Now I! on the other hand spend all my time analyzing emotions, doing this, expressing myself and i avoid anything logistical to do with my everyday life and future like the black plague. I write tumblr posts and read tarot to avoid doing that.
Thats why we're twins and perfect matches, we counter balance ourselves and teach and provide where the other is lacking...
So now consider this....
If three years ago i had a dream with Liam with a wheelchair/cane, and me able bodied, by his side to help him heal. Meaning it was first on me to do my part, help with emotions. "Well i think youre beautiful"
then when i met garrison it happened in real life.
Now, i'm having dreams where i'm the weak and wounded one. So it feels like its liams turn to come help with his part, the STABILITY, the MONEY, the HOME !!!!!
Doesnt that make hella sense? Thats what all the cards are saying, and specifically what he keeps working on is, feeling finacially stable and abundant enough to come in and offer me commitment, and im always like why?? Like i know liam was hyperfixated on getting a house and a wife, and a wealthy job, but he must know that i dont care about that and see his value otherwise.
BUT TO HIM thats his side of the bargain, thats gonna be his strength! Its not about whether or not it matters to me, its just supposed to happen, its a part of the plan. And that makes sense because it seems abundantly clear that he has solved the emotions part, he realized why he ran, he realized how he hurt me, but the only way in his eyes he feels he can return the favor equally would be coming in as the masculine with the money, and the stability.
Tah dahhhh
was gonna name this high thoughts but i think i actually mightve cracked it

Synthesis
Tumblr media
Overall, finacial literacy is proven to help students become better finacial beings once they step out into the real world. Finacial literacy can be beneficial to children young as kindergarteners to 12th grade, college students, and even grown adults who surprass their schooling stage. There are studies that show tremendous before and after results after taking finacial courses. Also in one given source, fiancial lieracy can be simply implified into the curiculum by utilizing real life aspects to subjects we already have now such math, economics, and business courses. Policy makers must first make that step by becoming inspired to move education in a slight different direction that will better suit students to become prepared to take on this world critically.
