Another question! Were olive and juniper ever an actual thing? It's heavily implied that they were in a relationship of some sort but idk

Juniper was Olive’s mother/caregiver. The reason Olive doesn’t call her mom is because the plantfolk do not typically parent their young, so that word isn’t really in their lexicon. Saplings are treated more like wild animals than children and just sort of run around and try to stay alive until they become big enough to command respect.

Juniper ran a nursery, and what she did was considered…very weird. She was regarded as a bit of a cult leader. Olive was among the first plants raised by her and helped run the nursery alongside her when they got old enough.

Anyways, I’ll get into this stuff in due time.

And- I could lead into several ways with this. My first thought was- imagine if he also was gay. Wouldn't that make it harder. Would he ever truly get rid of his mask when a vital part of him remains always hidden.

But - if he was ace. Or aro. Would he know. How would he know. How much could he tell he feels it differently. does he feel conflicted in his ignorance. Does he believe he's broken or has he just assumed that everyone else is faking it.

Just made myself so so sad thinking about Aang's marble trick because from a physics perspective, keeping dense spherical objects afloat on an airstream is not trivial, and he's doing it in a tiny little space without moving his hands. Bending is usually very gestural. So. Everyone in the era of the show is, at best, impressed THAT it is airbending. But Aang's an incredibly young master airbender. He wouldn't be acting like this was the bestest trick ever if it didn't take at least some skill; he's a goofy kid but he's also a prodigy. I bet other airbenders were absolutely blown away (pun fully intended) at the level of precision and force and minimalism of movement on display and now there's no one who understands at all why he expects accolades.
