trying to make a bit of a list of the people that seem to have prompted the supernatural events within each episode. I hope that kind of makes sense? Essentially, almost each story that happens seems to be preceded by some mildly mysterious person. This is what I have so far:
First Shift: The consultant that guided harriet to the graveyard (checking in)/the anonymous DMer that was sending threats to RedCanary (red canary) (I am also curious about the site creator(?), Devan, who originally marked the magnus institute as cleared and no longer seems to be around)
Making Adjustments: Ink5oul
Putting Down Roots: this one is not particularly clear to me, but my best guess for now would be harriot manning (the grief counselor), gerald, or (a stretch) the person who owns the church that houses the garden
Taking Notes: the stranger that gifts the narrator his violin
Personal Screening: the unnamed person who originally suggested "voyeur" to tomsterrors, or cinephobia2220 who found the "voyeur" website.
There's not necessarily a conclusion to be drawn from these yet, and this could be a pattern that I am inventing in my own mind, but I do think that it's interesting that a lot of these people were clearly guided or goaded into doing whatever it was that killed/traumatized them.

Colin canonically adores Pen. like. . .very obviously. He is one of very few characters who repeatedly compliments her, seeks out her company, checks in on how she is feeling, cares about her opinion. he listens to her in a way i can honestly say no other character does (and yes, I am counting Eloise in this). and Penelope canonically adores Colin. she ALSO listens to him, she also always wants to talk to him and cares about his thoughts and dreams like he does hers
so. . .someone please make it make sense why the polin fandom so badly wants Colin to grovel for her forgiveness when he has spent 2 entire seasons caring about Pen on main w/ full blown heart eyes and Penelope has spent 2 entire seasons seeing the very best in him and lighting up from within every time they're around each other?
what kind of vindictive, mean fanon nonsense Penelope have we created that would see a person who she cares for and who cares for her in turn begging her for ANYTHING and want that? especially when she is currently very much lying to him and will also have to, at one point or another, apologize?
polin is a mirror. that is their motif. that is the point of their romance, to see each other and to be seen, to reflect one another. i don't want to see Colin begging and I don't want to see Penelope begging but I, personally, am begging that we finally let this trope die

okay no coherent thoughts rn but just a quick little thing
The difference in Azad and Vikram's fighting style is actually pretty cool to watch, the fight choregraphy is no raid redemption or anything but there was clearly thought put into it
Azad is younger and more acrobatic, hence he uses flips and kicks a lot more often, he uses blocking techniques to get around to somehow getting a hold of the enemy's hand
Tumblr media Tumblr media
if he's being lethal, he will use the weapon that the opponent has for his purposes while the weapon is still being held by them
Tumblr media
He seems to use martial arts techniques more often just in general, his fights are fast, shot with handheld and have fast cuts
Dilf!Vikram however is a showoff
He looks like he enjoys killing people much more than Azad, who does it out of necessity, He has an unbothered attitude in his expression as well as body language, he just knows he's going to get through them all, so he just enjoys the process. He's never fighting for his life. His fights have steadier camerawork and more slow motion hero shots as well.
Tumblr media
With Vikram he rarely tries to block attacks, he might dodge but he's mostly on the offensive at all times, he fights like an unstoppable hammer. He either brings his own artillery or just straight up steals it from the enemy (also showcased in the flashback)
Tumblr media
also, he loves using people like ragdolls
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm not trained in any fighting styles btw just thinking too much about them

do you have any headcanons, old or new, for the kf!Barry possibility? i am so intrigued by it, fascinated even and i'm curious about your own takes, or what's the most interesting thing about it to you?
Ahh I love this question! It’s an idea I periodically get obsessed with from time to time, and I’ve talked a bit here about how I’d write it. And to expand:
I’ve never been a fan of Killer Frost’s split personality thing in the show, and it’s not comics accurate, so I’d probably do away with it. It’s just the general colder body temperature affecting his mind (chronic cold effects are terrifying, and that wouldn’t even be as bad as this, because this is inside him), not to mention his constant hunger for body heat to try to reach homeostasis (comics-based and…also, given biology, makes sense)
There’s a few different times I could give Barry powers, though I love the idea of them manifesting during s2 and him using them to defeat Zoom, freezing and shattering him to pieces
On the other hand, I also love the idea of them manifesting during s3, the way KF’s do in canon, maybe after he’s already met his frosty E2 doppelgänger. I doubt he’d team up with Savitar…unless Savitar was Iris and they became a genuine evil duo (not the leader-subordinate dynamic that Savitar and KF had in canon, but a true equal partnership)
He could also get powers in s1, and they start to affect his mind. He’s snappish, more irritable…and most of all, he doesn’t trust Eowells (especially if Iris is the Flash, and CSI Barry’s hero worship for Eowells is overridden by suspicion and worry…especially as he starts noticing more things off about Eowells)
And, to slip in a little Barrisco, I think KF!Barry and Reverb might’ve been the dynamic duo on E2. So KF!Barry on E1 might be very keen to recruit Cisco and replicate that…👀
Maybe he becomes an anti-hero like KF does in canon—still with villainous tendencies, but using them in service of the heroes (I do usually love that trope 💞)
I also have quite a few thoughts about “what if I wrote him in the Morgan AU as a spinoff AU” (4 additional headcanons for anyone interested in that):
He gets powers from the accelerator in s1, and they affect him as per the first headcanon outlined above. And, ofc, no split personality
He doesn’t fall into a coma, and instead, decides to use his powers to protect Central City. He doesn’t tell anyone—and if Iris is the Flash here, he ofc can’t tell her. While out on patrol one night, he meets a young hero who calls themself “Sentry”—definitely a kid or young adult, and definitely in need of guidance. Barry might not know how to be a hero, but he knows how to guide people. Probably (and their powers certainly make them useful…even if he’s horrified at that fleeting thought)
Barry and Morgan’s dynamic is thus pretty different. It’s less equal from the start, and it never really approaches that. Morgan looks up to him, and Barry…doesn’t quite look down on her, but as time passes, it gets close. Even as they become friends outside of their superhero identities, she’s still very much someone he needs to protect, not so much someone he can count on to protect him
He also notices some things are up with Eowells and Morgan. Some…not so great things. As time goes on, a picture starts to form in his head—abuse? Neglect specifically? Something. He’s only a CSI, he can’t investigate that…so he drops anonymous tips to CPS. Eowells gets out of all of them, and Morgan is visibly much more anxious after that, so Barry takes the hint and stops, but he’s still pissed that his effort was futile. But also…maybe it’s for the best. Where would Morgan go? Tina raised her for a little while but gave her back to Eowells, she can’t be trusted. (Maybe the only person he can trust for such a job is himself—and he should be horrified by the thought, but…he’s not)
send me an au and i’ll share 5+ headcanons about it!
Taglist (send an ask or DM to be added or removed):

People who say "I wish Jack Seward was the same except he wasn't running a lunatic asylum and being a problematic psychiatrist :/" you don't want Jack you want a The Big Bang Theory character.
i think, for me, he's just utterly, painfully human. i've said the same about jonathan before, but if you're not taking the whole of the character, malpractice and all, what IS the point lol.
the internal war that jack seems to be constantly fighting feels like a shadow of the myriad self-arguments that stoker seems to be making within the novel dracula itself. which is interesting! and implies that, along with multiple other characters, that a fair amount of stoker himself went into him - and really uh. recontextualises some of his relationships with the other characters.
like i DO emphathise deeply with his reclusive, obsessive nature, love him for his loyalty to his friends and genuinely selfless actions, and yet the deeply uncomfortable parts of his character - the parts that stem from the obsession and reclusion and self-dislike - are just as as integral to him, and make him a far more interesting character to pull apart. his selflessness is real! yet the other side of it - the separation of self, the self loathing, his self destructive habits - tie deeply in with this. the fact that they manifest how they do - in his use of renfield, a powerless individual obstensibly miles below him in the asylum's social ladder, as some kind of unwilling sounding board for his own mental illness illustrates the mundane nature of evil that lurks, whether stoker intended or not, at the edges of the book. not only does he not recognise the humanity of those in his power - he often refuses to recognise his own. his examination of renfield comes across as a kind of self-examination, in which renfield himself is purely the neglected victim in the fallout. he keeps trying, but his attempts to divorce himself from his own humanity - the good and the uglier side - belie just how agonisingly human he is.
tl;dr: he contains multitudes

can we hear ur thoughts on mr tommy shelby please i literally love that man w all my heart hgrrhrvrbgrgrr i’m not usually a housewife trope kinda gal but LORD i’d cook and clean and mix drinks and carry ALLLL HIS BABIES i’d be a pretty little thing to keep around his arm and use as a bargaining chip in deals WOWOWOW
(btw ilysm and i hope ur having a lovely day) - 🧸
NO BECAUSE I've still been watching peaky blinders for the past few days and we all know that thomas is far from an ideal husband (unless you're grace—maybe even then lol), but EVEN THEN. even fucking then my legs are chronically spread and my body ready for him to breed the shit out of me.
I just watched this scene in S5E2 where charlie runs across the field to tommy and he catches him in his arms (giddy up horsie, giddy up! lmao) and calls him a good boy and tells him to play his violin really loudly—STOP IT he's so fucking hot when he's with his kids and I want to give him a fucking football team worth of them.
also yes to being tommy's little housewife or his fucking trophy wife, I don't care. whichever, I just need to be his so bad it's actually driving me insane right now.
he sucks so bad but besties let me tell you, I'd suck him so good for that.

what's your story about? i saw your post about your friends not reading it and i'm curious! do you have any snippets you wanna share?
it's a fantasy story about a royal heir who, in order to be viable as the next ruler of her kingdom, must complete her education in a neutral territory located between the four kingdoms of her homeland. however, a war between her kingdom and one of its neighbors forces her to attend the academy under a false name, with only a handful of people aware of who she really is. during her stay at the academy, the resurgence of the war, the outing of her identity, and the uncovering of a long-buried evil all threaten her life, as well as the lives of those she cares about.
I know that's vague, but if I go into much more detail I will literally rant for an hour fjdskalfjsdk
here are the introductions of a couple of the main cast of characters! (under the cut)
Theo knew that he shouldn’t go any farther. The caves beneath the Academy were dangerous to be in, even for those who knew them well. Cave-ins, rock slides, and floods could happen in the blink of an eye, and if he was caught in one, Theo’s body wouldn’t be found for months, years, decades. But Kings, did he want to keep going. The light of his lantern illuminated a hole in the wall before him that was just wide enough for him to squeeze his shoulders through, and which had definitely not been exposed the last time he was here. From the way the light was swallowed up in the next cavern, he was sure that it was sizable. A place like this was exactly where brutes liked to lay their eggs, tucked away safely deep underground. Theo could hear his mother’s voice in his head, reprimanding him for doing something as foolish as what he was about to do. He’d gotten hurt in the caves dozens of times before, and each time his mother had forbidden him from going back into them, but curiosity always got the better of him. It was his duty, wasn’t it? Even with the Academy’s efforts, dragons still only numbered in the hundreds. Theo had to do whatever he could to find viable eggs in order to conserve the species. So, Theo thrust the arm that held the lantern into the hole in the wall, found a place to set the lantern down, and proceeded to wriggle into the hole head-first. The process took him a couple of minutes—he didn’t want to tear his sweater, as it was awfully comfortable, and one of his favorite colors—but after much cursing, panting, and squirming, he slid to the cool stone floor on the other side. Theo allowed himself to regain his breath before he stood, grabbed his lantern, and looked around.
...
Cait had only seen dragons a handful of times before. Their migratory path rarely brought them far enough north for her to glimpse them rollicking through the skies or darting between boulders and trees in the vast forests that engulfed her home. The weather was often too cold for the dragons to be comfortable, and the mountain winds were treacherous. But there had been a few years, scattered here and there, when the city bells had rung an uncommon, exuberant song that called the people out into the streets, where they all turned their gazes skyward and watched as glimmering figures danced in and out of the clouds. The last time Cait had seen the dragons, she had been just shy of fourteen. Now, seven years later, she tilted her head back and followed the path of a long-necked dragon with scales that were the same shade as the early spring growth on the trees below it. The dragon circled like a carrion bird before folding its wings in and diving, hurtling down towards the bottom of the valley that cradled them. It disappeared below the tree line, swift as an arrow. Cait smiled. A hand snatched Cait’s wrist, its grip firm and steadying, and Cait didn’t even realize she’d been falling until Toby righted her. With a sigh, he said, “Please watch where you’re going. That’s the second time you’ve nearly tumbled right down the mountainside.” The stones that had come loose beneath Cait’s step rolled away, disappearing into the grass. The valleyside wasn’t exceptionally steep right here, but a fall like that would have been by no means pleasant. Cait scooted closer to the center of the path. Toby, always vigilant, moved between her and the edge. Tobias Fischer, Cait’s personal guard, best friend, and brother in every way but blood, towered over Cait by nearly a foot. He was a very handsome man—he had broad shoulders, a strong jaw, warm brown eyes surrounded by a faint dusting of freckles, thick ruddy hair, and an old scar across one tan cheek that was impossible to see except for when the lighting was just right. His posture was impeccable, and at a glance he looked meaner than a mountain lion. Cait loved him dearly. “You can’t just expect me to not look at the dragons,” she said after a minute of walking in silence. “I would never ask you to not look at the dragons,” Toby replied evenly. “However, if you almost fall into a ravine again, you will be looking at the dragons from the safety of the wagon.”
