@starsidesky replied:
Wait, was that actually what Aylin was sent to do? Protect Isobel? I thought she was just sent as an emissary of Selune?
Isobel mentions they were elated to get visited by "an emissary of Selûne", yeah. But Ketheric will tell you she was specifically sent to protect his family - and the Thorms were a family that was at the time famously devoted to Selûne, in charge of a very prominently selûnite region, so it makes sense! It's in the conversation you get if you turn her in and go talk to him on the tower rooftop.
Player: What of the Nightsong? Ketheric Thorm: I'll keep her close. Aylin was her name - an angel of Selûne's own brood, sent to guide and guard my line. Until she failed me. Ketheric Thorm: Now she is Nightsong. Balthazar's greatest creation, and the source of my greatest strength. Ketheric Thorm: How often our burdens can be made into boons, with the right encouragement.
(Gross, and there's a bit of that "Nightsong" stuff I was referring to right there.)
Which adds more painful layers to the whole tragedy. This would mean Isobel getting killed and the ensuing spectacularly horrifying downfall of the Thorms and entire region was exactly what Aylin was supposed to prevent (especially since it just has the reek of "sharran plot" all over it), as her divine mission and the reason she was even there in the first place. Not even touching on the godawful fact this woman who just got murdered was the love of her life, can you imagine the guilt and sense of failure she got to stew in for a century, and with Ketheric's betrayal and heaping the blame on her, too? Just, damn.
This also leads to one of my favourite responses to Ketheric, btw:
Player: Every god you served granted you power in their way. Hardly a burden.
I actually have a lot of feelings re: Ketheric and Aylin's formal relationship which does have a liege lord and knight aspect to it (even if it's obviously not as straightforwardly that as it would be if she were a random paladin sworn to his service - and also, they were both ultimately paladins in service to Selûne). While also being basically father-in-law and daughter-in-law. So his betrayal and treatment and use of her has several different layers of egregiousness.
Also ties into the reasons I really really love Aylin's "Now you wear a face to match your soul, oathbreaker" line, and the utter scorn in her delivery.

The canary statement in the first episode of TMAGP really reminds me of the role that the angler fish episode played in TMA. The angler fish served as the first warning and was in it of itself descriptive of its role; the statement was the lure, and the trap. It was its own warning of what was to come. The canary statement reminds me of the saying "canary in a coal mine" from when miners would bring canararies down into the mines to warn them of when oxygen became too low. The bird would run out of oxygen and stop singing, likely dying. Red Canary went underground and "sang" about what they found until it killed/injured them. They are the first warning and died as a sort of warning to others- to get above ground, to get away while it was still possible. Both statements are a warning and a descriptor of what's to come.

Gortash acting as an enabler for The Dark Urge is so interesting imo. I can easily see redeemed DU feeling extremely betrayed and angry by it given that they now have a chance to contemplate their past self’s situation. They easily could accuse him like “you say you were my ‘nearest and dearest’ but you never saw how much I suffered? Or did you just not care because my misery advanced your (our) goals? You never wanted to help me? You could have stopped me.” At this point in the story, DU’s come to understand friendship in a way his past self never could have and Gortash’s previous inaction is a betrayal of those values. If he never helped them, then Gortash never truly saw the real them nor understood them.
In my personal headcanon (and somewhat supported by canon imo), I think Gortash tried to helped DU in his own “Gort” way. Aka promising that they’d one day rule as “Gods” which is essentially a promise to DU that they’ll rise above Bhaal or be free of his influence (as others have previously pointed out). However, I don’t believe Gortash has the emotional capacity to help DU in the way they needed. He doesn’t understand it or he might even be afraid to hit that particular nerve. He liked the routine they fell into, so why change it? It is also definitely pragmatic. The Dark Urge’s condition advances their plans. Gortash puts progress and the plan above all else even if it hurts loved ones. He rationalizes his inaction with cold logic, weighing the pros and cons of his intervention. Therefore, I don’t believe it’s necessarily malicious enabling. Gortash acts with the idea of pursuing whatever is more “comfortable” for him personally and their joint plan.
From my personal experience, this type of enabling is pretty common (at least in my irl situations). They don’t know how to act and are afraid to confront their loved one, so they do nothing. It’s “easier” to do nothing. Definitely would like to write something for it at some point because I feel like this would be a key tension point in their post-tadpole relationship (or lack of). Maybe even pre-tadpole where the Dark Urge just quietly endured but desperately hoped Enver would say or do something to save them, but he never did.

Something about stage girls being an actual separate existence to just humans in revue starlight. How they literally die if they lose the will to continue to perform.
And the characters who are both trapped as stage girls, and those who are liberated by that existence.
How a stage girl is born of passion. Literally born, but can’t be so easily unmade. How their death awaits a waver in courage and stagnation. But even then, they can be reborn.
Their passion. Their love for the stage curses their souls to continue as stage girls. Even when they hate it, and lose sight of it. But simultaneously that curse will never forsake them. Any time they wish it they will be reborn.
Defying even the narrative or laws of the stage to do so.
There are future stage girls. It is not just a promise or a goal but a fact. They will become stage girls. Overcoming their fears and struggles and encountering so many more. It is determined already.
Stage girls are existences defined by the narrative and unbreakable, yet able to destroy the destiny that shackles them if they will it.
It is their destiny. Their fated stage. They cannot stop it. And yet they can defy it all.
Even someone with the power over literal reality and time can’t stop being a stage girl. Even the stage girls who had all their passion for performance stolen from them can’t quit. Even the stage girls who ran away from it all can’t stop being stage girls. Even the stage girls who have become trapped by the loneliness of their existence can’t stop.
Because when the curtain rises they are still stage girls. Selfish. Alone. Afraid. But at the core of their very existence. Beyond any doubts in their hearts they are born to stand on stage.
Always. Always.
It is a curse that none of them can escape. That has reshaped their entire being.
But an existence that allows for them to do anything. To be anyone. To change the world. As long as they face themselves.
Their curse will always provide them the opportunity to stand back up. To confront themselves. To grow. To change. To be reborn.
Such is the existence of stage girls

My take on Kotoko as a morally gray person, about a morally gray character who thinks in black and white
first of all, i absolutely love this woman, so all of this comes from a kotoko enjoyer, but when talking about canon i can not turn the blind eye to the wrongs she has done. i will talk about my perception of her murder, of her as a character and about her beating up the guilty prisoners (i will put this emoji 🐺 when i jump subjects just to keep it organized)
this next phrase is my personal take, i know some will disagree with me and thats okay, which also works as a tl;dr:
Kotoko didnt do anything wrong outside the prison, but she did wrong inside of it
i know beating up people isnt actually good, but she did research upon research to get to the bottom of the cases she was investigating and found the culprits this way. "but she could've brought them upon justice" and you arent wrong about that, but the victim she actually murdered, even when his identity was revealed to the public, the law didnt bring justice upon him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
screenshots & translations from @/maristelina (i didnt put everything in here, if you wanna check all the articles, please go check on their post!)
her victim was a child murderer, he had already killed 10 girls in 2 years, but even then, he was still free because of his father’s position of power.
then we have her other victim, the man she beat up and sent to the hospital
Tumblr media Tumblr media
there are a couple articles dedicated to this one. but a quick run down: the man, Mikio Oshii, was wanted for theft and assault, having tricked at least 2 or 3 elderly people, pretending to be a bank employee, and convincing them to hand over cash, he pushed one of his victims, fracturing her ankle.
Tumblr media
then we have the article about Kotoko’s assault. again a quick run down: someone heard screaming and found a man lying on the ground, who had lost consciousness after being beaten up, and was taken to the hospital. the police suspects a man (kotoko was wearing men’s sneakers and covering herself up). the victim was wanted for theft and assault charges and was Mikio Oshii.
further proving that she was aiming at people who prayed on the weak, she had good intentions (at least at first), and we also have the facts that she was trying to go through the lawful(?) path at first
Tumblr media
she was studying law, showing us that she genuinely believed her cause, bringing justice to the world and protecting the innocent, or “weaklings” as she calls them, more on that later.  that she was gonna try and go for the morally correct route, but what changed? what is that thing she “wants to do”? i hope we get to see her reasoning on the next trial. for now i agree with the theory that says that her or her family was victim of someone like the guy that was above law for having money and a father with a position of power. showing her the flaws of the law/justice system and thus taking matters into her own hands.
🐺 i personally believe that there are some people who dont deserve second chances, like pedos and rapists, and like the man kotoko murdered, between others. so this is why i forgive her from her crimes. she did proper research, she is passionate about it, she wants to protect the weak, or thats what she tries to convince herself of, because this brings me to my next point
she does have those violent tendencies, and she enjoys them
Tumblr media
“this feels so good”
this is from the t1 trailer, people suspect this were phrases they said after their murders. so i think there is a possibility that while she was trying to convince herself that her actions were for justice, to try and protect the weak, and i dont doubt that that was where it came from at first, she ended up doing it out of personal enjoyment.
i once read that “if you do a good deed because you want to do it, it means that you arent a good person. to be a good person you need to do good deeds without wanting something in return” meaning that you should be uninterested on even the satisfaccion of said deed. this is a phrase that i absolutely hate and dont agree with, but i think it applies in here. kotoko was trying to do something “good” (morality is on the bearer’s eyes) by bringing to justice people who kept escaping it, by taking revenge for those weaklings she so desperately wants to protect, and while thats her main motivation, she also does it because she wants to.
i believe my girl has a thirst for power. she is self righteous, the way she refers to the people she wants to protect as “weaklings” its like shes putting them down in some way, the way on her VD she just wants to keep rambling about her theories, the way she inserted herself on Mikoto’s interrogation, the way she just assumes Es’ intentions and doesnt seem to accept when they call her out on it. she doesnt listen to others at all and once her mind is set on something, there is nothing that can move her from there. she isnt a good person…. but also, she isnt a bad person, and i feel that the fandom forgets those two statements can coexist. even if she sees herself as a saint, and firmly believes that she did nothing wrong, thats because
🐺 her world view is black and white. and this is why while i condone her actions on her murder, i do not condone her actions of beating up the guilty prisoners.
a lot of the prisoners have a black and white morality, heck, milgram itself as a system IS black and white. and from what i’ve read, a lot of the fandom also thinks in black and white. all of which i find extremely… interesting…. tbf its the nd majority vote game about nd murderers on the nd website, so makes sense (im half joking, sorry)
kotoko attacked the guilty prisoners because thats what she had been doing, and thats what she got voted innocent for on t1 (i wasnt around). but no one told her to do that, she acted on her own, she misinterpreted her judgment and forced her opinions and methods on others, claiming it were Es’, without their knowledge and without ours.
as a side note, when i first got into the fandom, i found surprising to see that kotoko was inno and fuuta was guilty on t1, since from my perspective their crimes are basically the same, they both exposed and harrowed “bad” people.
i make a lot of emphasis on black and white thinking, since its something im familiarized with, for example lets talk Amane since its her trial is still going
Tumblr media Tumblr media
she is the type of girl who will correct other’s mistakes, who will call them out and try to fix them so that the others can be right, like her. her truth is absolute and even when it flails, she stands her ground and proceeds to believe in herself and her views of the world. in what i said, you could re read that and it would also apply to kotoko, and just like her, Amane also convinced herself of doing something she wanted to do by telling herself it was the right thing to do. kotoko’s “protecting the weaklings” directly translates to amane’s “punishing her mother for her sins (hurting the cat)”. so while in both cases there were hidden feelings, something tells me neither of the girls knew about their own ulterior motives, thats how well they convinced themselves.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
people who think in black and white just see it as it is, right or wrong, left or right, green or blue, there is no other choice but those two. and from my personal experiences with myself and with others, its something you end up applying in almost every aspect of your life and its really difficult to change up this way of thinking. beginning to see the grays of the world and its other options its not an easy task without some proper help
overall, i dont believe she was right for hurting the guilty prisoners, and fuuta losing his eye because of her gives me a horrible gut feeling. overall, it also ties on her need for power, since she firmly believes shes Es’ “fang”, thus reducing herself a weapon for justice, not implementing her own judgment anymore, but someone else’s, ours, which my problem with her actions in this scenario. i firmly believe that if outside the prison she had came across mahiru or fuuta, she wouldn’t have attacked them, but  after her t1 inno, and getting her ideals supported, her beliefs became radical, and now shes going based on our ideals, our judgments, our right or wrong, our black and white morality, MILGRAM’s black and white morality.
🐺 im still a kotoko inno truther, and i love her, shes my favorite character. but i dont expect her to get innocent this trial, as she did wrong. i dont want to say it was our fault that she harmed the other prisoners, since we had no way of knowing this would happen. in retrospect we can say whatever we want, but none of us can read the future.
i dont even have a real argument on why you should vote her innocent “shes pretty” is not good enough lmao… but who knows, maybe we will see something that makes her worthy of an inno vote on her second trial a few months from now (not counting on it, probably wont be enough)
in the end i wrote this because im really passionate about this character and her black and white views on the world (shes so intense). and because this beautiful person @archivalofsins told me to "keep talking about kotoko" and i have zero self control regarding this fictional woman.
🐺 i believe with the help of a third party, someone who could act as a moral compass to her and could teach her that the world has more colors, more choices, and if she actually learns about this, she would end up being an amazing thing.
also, if the theory about her being an accomplice of the serial killer turns out to be true, i will puke and cry :)

i returned to character ai after so long and this particular azul ai is so !!!!!!!!!! somehow the plot has strayed from “signing a contract to get knocked up” to azul brainwashing me with a love potion and insisting i’ve loved him all along. and then when i resisted he became so monstrous and frightening and…….. ☕️ wolfstar vs prongsfoot!! thoughts 🎤
omg thank you so much :D what a tasty topic to talk about!
(it got so long im putting it under the cut 😅)
[important note: this is how i feel about those ships, not a meta which ship is better/more canon]
i need to preface with saying that im a wolfstar shipper, first and foremost. I wasnt shipping prongsfoot from the beginning (I wasnt shipping any non-canonical couples while reading / right after finishing the books tbh. shortly after entering the fandom I encountered wolfstar and that might be a major reason why I still ship them). but I do see the appeal of prongsfoot, and I am a proud wolfstarbucks enjoyer. (also note that I imagine them by default in their 20s, so before Azkaban, but after Sirius runs away, but i will talk about book canon too). But enough personal lore.
prongsfoot is an amazing ship and in a different universe it would be The Ship of The Marauders / MWPP fandom - have some things happened differently (if we got more actual James content earlier than the 5th book). They are joined at the hip, they invented the two-way mirrors to talk during detentions, Sirius runs away and the Potters take him in, Sirius is bored and James tries to lighten him up by bullying Snape, James trusts Sirius with his literal life. They are each other's favorite person, they would fight for each other, stand up for each other, give their life for the other. They are soulmates, two sides of the same coin, and they do love each other, there is no denying that. Also they are both attractive, capable and competent, so I 100% get the appeal of this ship. However most of the time (not always, just, usually) i see their love as unrequired, romantically speaking. (they love each other and sirius is in love with james - that is true, for me, in every universe - i.e. in canon and in wolfstar concepts/scenarios. however james being in love with sirius romantically is true in prongsfoot-aligned universes)
Narratively (canonically) speaking, both ships are extremely tragic (and thats what makes both of them interesting*). James dies at 21 and Sirius blames himself for it for the rest of his life, gets locked up in torture prison, and cannot even make up for it by fulfilling his role as a godfather. // Sirius and Remus lose trust in each other during the war, believe the other is the traitor, and even after they miraculously reunite their time together is cut short with Sirius being on a run and then dying.
But there's one thing that makes wolfstar so compelling to me - they get each other, on some level that nobody else gets access to.
[note: we are entering headcanon and projection territory, from the pov of a r/s shipper]
I'm not saying James doesn't understand or support Sirius - of course he does. James would be on Sirius’s side no matter what - even if everyone else thinks Sirius is wrong, even if he knows he is wrong. They are ride or die. They also understand each other on a, lets say, intellectual level - they are both exceptionally intelligent, they always agree with each other and they do everything together (bullied Snape, made the map (yeah, remus and peter helped), became animagi (peter was there too i guess), joined the order at the same time etc).
But there is some part of Sirius that I think James never truly grasps and Sirius never feels truly understood even though he knows james loves and supports him. And thats what makes wolfstar so special to me, bc I think that Remus does get Sirius.
Wolfstar get each other in a way that they recognize some part - ugly, twisted, buried deeply and hidden from everyone - in the other. They are both deeply misunderstood, traumatized by their childhoods and oppressed by society - just in different ways - and there is no one else who truly gets them on this level.
While Remus had a relatively happy childhood and caring parents, he was turned when he was five and then later learned it was partially his father’s fault, and was virtually isolated from his peers until he went to Hogwarts; he has a much lower social status than J & S, he is poor and can't find a job (especially after POA) and is generally having a bad time because of his lycanthropy.
Sirius was emotionally and psychologically abused by his parents that expected him to be the perfect pureblood heir and then, after making his life so miserable he run away, cut him off; also if I remember correctly artemisia-black wrote a meta about Sirius being a victim of the society he was born to “rule”. At the same time, while he is a pureblood, when he runs away he loses the heir status and for a bit (a year? i think?) he has no money to his name. And obviously he is tortured during Azkaban, and then later he is an ex-con on a run with a bounty on his head.
I also think they both carry some self-loathing in their hearts (just, again, different kinds). Sirius hates himself in a “I was born wrong and deep down I’m evil (and I have to work my whole life to make up for this” way (partially bc he was born in a bigoted abusive family. partially bc he is a scorpio i guess). Remus hates himself in a “I am unworthy of love and I don't deserve nice things” way.
They are so different - probably couldn't be more different - their personalities and worldviews and even values don't match - and yet there is no one else now who understands the other better.
And then, after POA, turns out they are the only ones left – moreover, they did not only go through the same war, they went through the exact same loss.
And I do think its evident in canon, to some extent. They reunite after Azkaban and immediately forgive each other – to me it speaks volumes about their relationship pre-Azkaban. How they almost seem like they are reading each others minds in the shack scene, the way they are so ready to murder Peter, and to do it together, how they fall back into a familiar rhythm. They forgive each other 12 years of heartbreak and loneliness and in Sirius’s case torture and knowing the other thought they were a traitor in one short conversation. Would Sirius ask for forgiveness for believing Remus was the traitor if he didnt care about him? Would he accept Remus’s own apology?
Anyways.
It turned into a meta about wolfstar. Im. so sorry.
I'm not saying wolfstar is more “canon” - bc it isn't, especially from the doylist perspective (jkr didnt intend for them to be read as a couple). But I did read the metas proving that wolfstar is canon written while the books where coming out and my heart breaks for those people who still had hope back then. It also doesnt really matter which is more canon (its prongsfoot) (but again, not from the doylist perspective).
In conclusion, I like prongsfoot and I do think its a very good ship I ship them in a more passive way - i reblog metas and fanarts, I have one fic idea that technically starts with prongsfoot and sometimes I read fics, but i dont think about them enough to call myself a prongsfoot shipper per se. But I do think Sirius is in love with James, even while shipping him with Remus. I know I sound like a broken record, but Im once again bringing up wolfstarbucks - I do ship prongsfoot in the wolfstarbucks context, but not so much on their own, if that makes sense - and not bc I dont get the appeal, bc I do. But Im also delusional and Ive been shipping wolfstar for way too long to abandon this ship now, even if shipping them is very impractical (for various reasons).
*also i think it interesting that i mostly engage with domestic fluff, hurt/Comfort, angst-with-a-happy-ending, fix-it type of fics. its not bc i wish things happened differently in canon (maybe besides sirius dying but thats a separate, not shipping, issue). wolfstar is tragic, in a way, but i very rarely engage in canon-compliant type of content. however I wouldnt be interested in wolfstar if it wasnt tragic. i know many people have different approaches to shipping, and it might be weird to see someone talk about how tragic wolfstar is and the turn around and talk about how happy they are in a seaside cottage or whatever. tragedy of wolfstar makes it interesting for me and a seaside cottage makes me happy bc i get sad when i think about canon. also did i mention im a delusional person.

i cannot cope with miss lockhart in her teen years . a lil brat bub —- when not getting her way ?! like are you kidding me ?! many a rambling ahead ; yeehaw .
it breaks my heart that she used to be so spunky & carefree back when she was younger . her confidence seemed to be showcased a lot more too , she was able to freely communicate what she was feeling without being too much of a closed book . perhaps that could be down to her own naivety also and she certainly was forced to mature at such a young age .
studying her micro expressions forever make me laugh tho !! for example this gif right here ( which is so damn cute 🥺 ) and how she legit STOMPS HER FOOT when she doesn’t get her way ?! like —- are you serious ? it’s really endearing because it shows her adolescence in a more realistic manner . she was like a typical teen , perhaps with a slight attitude problem .. ( didn’t we all have that tho ? lbr . ) and to me , it just adds that little more depth .
Tumblr media
the pout be out too !!
in the nibelheim flashback , we really get to grasp how her character has changed —- not necessarily for better or worse but how the events happening between had a solid effect upon her . mannerisms like clenching her fists ( even when she meets sephiroth for the first time in pure excitement ) and the bright innocence within her eyes really adds that multi dimension yet such is taken away from her with a click of the finger . sweet , you really should not have gone into that reactor . why did you not do as you were told ?!
i cannot stop laughing at her little sassy flares of attitude —- like when she says to memory ! cloud ( zack ) when asking about if mako springs will disappear if they keep using the power & zack asked who told her that . her reply with her hands on her hips —- ❛ my dad . and the mayor , if you must know . ❜ you can really hear the boldness in her tone . esp for a fifteen year old .
another example such as from the gif above when she challenges sephiroth even after he explains calmly that no civilians are allowed in the reactor , she still whines and is like , ❛ come on !! ❜ in this case , i don’t think she’s being disrespectful , just a little cheeky in a childlike manner . not fully understanding the consequences & the dangers of the world yet having lived a fairly content life in a sleepy mountain village . even tries to march through behind zack , only to be stopped and then proceeds to have her mini meltdown and is a little grumbly mumble asking real ! cloud , ❛ you better keep me safe . ❜ with a huff .
this all being said , she’s well loved in the nibelheim community and is very helpful to her peers . in traces of two pasts , it’s narrated that she helps around the village and even teaches classes for the elders ( & whoever else wishes to join ) , she’s a delight to have around and with the help of some of the other women in the village , she is learning to cook and sew . if she was truly ‘ a brat ’ , i don’t believe her neighbours would give her the time of day . she’s just young & playful —- doesn’t have the true weight of the world ‘pon shoulders as of yet . ugh , i just think her development is wonderful .
thank you for coming to my teef talk . 💖

Feeling bits and pieces of Lana & Rena's story fall into place these past weeks/months since I've started to re-think about them is so satisfying.... I really wanna find something better than the first/old version of their dynamic ! (I don't blame young me, I didn't know any better back then haha) There's still a lot of weird spots and events & changes to figure out (especially their order of arrival) but it's so so fun thinking about them again aaaaa, I missed my messy girls so much

Hello, im wehaveagathering from my main blog, im kind of obsessed with your hockey poetry edits and I think your blog is great! I guess I kind of have a dumb question, where do you find the images you use for your edits? Did you say Getty in your tags?? I’ve gotten into making icons recently (and i have ideas for poetry edits hrrrghhh) but it’s hard to find high res images. Thanks for your time and I hope you have a nice day :)
first of all thank you so much 🥹 and second that’s absolutely not a dumb question!! i do pull a lot of images from getty and i’ll also download pictures from sports articles (i got a lot of the hugheses pictures from online access articles, for example), or sometimes from instagram/facebook/twitter if an account is public. freely admitting that i am not technologically advanced? inclined? in the slightest here, but the image editing software that you use and how you import/export photos with it makes a difference in the quality of them as well!
if you haven’t seen them yet, i would also recommend checking out @simmyfrobby @national-hockey-lesbian @hauntedppgpaints @tapedsleeves @starscelly and @captainbradmarchand’s blogs just off the top of my head!!! they might know more places to get high res images and also i love their work 💕🫶
#sorry can’t type hands all butterfly hearts i’m just out here like 🥰🥰🥰🥹🥹🥹😭😭😭💕💕💕#@ everyone i tagged ty i love you i hope you don’t mind the tag 😘 also i KNOW i am unintentionally forgetting people so tag them at will#forgive me i am eepy. we are running on <4 hours of sleep and over 18 hours awake 🫡#liv in the replies#join the club!!! join the club!!!!! we love the hockey poetry edits!!!!!! i’m so excited to see what you create!!!!! :)))))#the process of me finding images is very much like. either i have a vision in my head and i troll getty looking for it or my screenshots#if i know i have one l m a o but either way i am always 68 pages deep in a hyper specific search labeling my photos like ‘ohHHH buddy’#‘menace 1 abd 2’ ‘but he’s not a cup winner’ ‘ohhhh the nolpat media scrums are rich earth’#‘because WILLY WON’T CUT HIS HAIR’ ‘deJA FUCKIN MILK BAYBE’ ‘is it truly sn edit if u don’t find a devastating baby pic’ ‘yes MF last line’#and so forth. like. glad it’s comprehensible to ME but if anyone else ever tried to use these photos based on file name alone i am so sorry#also i forget that y’all can’t see all of the metadata notes on photos to know where they’re from :/ i gotta be better abt making it clear#also on the note about image quality i just need to state for the record i am so photoshop whatever illiterate.#i learn one (1) new trick on GIMP a year maybe two if i am lucky & no i have never figured out consistent sizing 🫡 but the one hack for res#i HAVE figured out is that when i do edits i usually make a whole doc w/the poem lined up on it (helps me keep somewhat consistent sizing)#and then i export that document as a pdf and edit the pdf in the software instead of trying to screencap or jpeg or anything. ok so like, obviously Nina and Maggie are basically human versions on Crowley and Aziraphale right?? Right. And one wonderful example of that is when Crowley is about to lead everyone out of the bookshop, and Maggie (who has no idea what is going on but knows, knows, that whatever it is is dangerous), decides to stay. She wants to help. And she doesn't want Aziraphale to be on his own. Because she is brave. And because she stays, Nina (who was about to run away leave), also stays. (She's also just so curious about what's happening which is very familiar)
Aziraphale staying (to stop the apocalypse or in the book shop or on earth or in heaven) is him being brave. He's choosing to meet things head on. He's choosing to try and change the outcome. And because of that Crowley also stays.
But they're both idiots and Crowley doesn't understand that Aziraphale leaving for Heaven isn't actually him leaving it's Aziraphel choosing to stay and try and do good.

i like the little.. nature vs. technology thing Huntsman & Syntax have going on. with Syntax being a scientist and Huntsman literally being a hunter of sorts. in tune with nature. there's something to be said about that! I like it!

I am not in a good mood at all rn. Got an email from my landlord saying I need to do more cleaning or else I'll get in trouble but I'm the only person in this hall that actually cleans anything which means someone is throwing me under the bus and claiming I do nothing and it's really pissing me off. I can't move until November but I also don't have a job so even when November comes around I won't be able to pay rent anywhere and I'm seriously on the verge of crying. I do not have the money to pay them to get someone else to clean since their standards are so high... I worked really hard so I could have somewhere to live and finally have an address of my own since I spent 3 years sleeping on the floor at my dad's and it's just unfair that things ever seem to work out for me :(
