Let's take a look at what actually happened, shall we?

On 1st September 2023, Jungkook's birthday, Jimin posted this pic:

He got so much hate for it from tkkrs, solos and antis. It was so horrible and downright vile.

But you know, Jikook karma with Jungkook as the reigning master was just lurking in the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

No one saw it coming.

Not gonna lie, what Jungkook did had me floored. He went and posted a shirtless pic of himself at the gym:

What floored me wasn't the shirtless pic itself. It was the date. 13, it's Jimin's number. Jungkook posted this exactly one month before Jimin's birthday.

Here's the jaw dropper. The time he posted this pic. 11:58 am KST.

IT'S JIMIN'S BIRTH TIME

Deliberate wasn't it? That's exactly what he was aiming for.

From then on we got pics and videos of him shirtless. And that AYS pic. The one with Jimin's name written across Jungkook's abs. A gift for us but a f*** off to the antis.

This is not the first time he had defended Jimin.

1) We all remember Jungkook's pure joy in AYS. How those were the best trips of his life. How he wanted to do it with Jimin till they're fifty. Make memories to take back home. How everyone else is just a guest on the show.

2) Making phone calls to Seokjin and Hoseok's birthday lives together. Sending flower wreaths together. Flirting with each other on social media.

3) This snippet from his live:

All these, a huge "screw you" to the antis out there. Jimin antis being the key word.

These above stated 1,2, and 3 are very recent moments. There are countless other moments from the past too. But I want to bring back a particular one. For that let's go back to 2021.

On 17th Nov 2021, BTS left for Los Angeles for their PTD On Stage concert and to attend AMAs.

On 25th Nov 2021, Jimin posted a pic of himself at a beach in LA on Weverse:

On 30th Nov 2021, Sojang a Youtuber known for spreading baseless and malicious rumors about BTS dropped a video claiming that Jimin was on a date with two female idols on that beach. Her "proof" was a beach sunset pic posted by Yein in Nov 2021.

The situation became worse when more articles were made saying both the beach pics are from the same place and time. Common, random articles used by both artists were used as "proofs" of them dating.

A few hours after the video dropped "a member" posted pics of Jimin, Jungkook and Taehyung at the same beach Jimin had earlier shared the pics of:

I love the second pic so much. It's so romantic and sweet how Jimin and Jungkook are facing each other with the sunset as background. Particularly Jungkook. Sunset is a very beautiful view right? But here we have Jungkook not facing the sunset but Jimin (a much more beautiful, "pretty" view in Jungkook's eyes).

Ahhh I went off track. Let's get back to the topic real quick.

So, these pics posted were actually a response to Sojang and the articles. An initial debunking of their false claims. This proved that Jimin went to that beach together with Jungkook and Taehyung.

Sources found that Jimin's pic was of Santa Monica beach, posted on 25th Nov 2021 while Yein's pic was of Manhattan beach, posted on 27th Nov 2021.

On 1st Dec 2021 this special, sweet moment happened. Jungkook walked up behind Jimin, wrapped himself around him, stared intently, leaned in close, put his chin on his shoulder, stared again until Jimin turned into a shy, flustered mess. Then Jungkook walked away smiling hand over his chest (Yeah your heart belongs to Jimin. I know Jungkook, I know)

To me it felt like a statement. Like Jungkook was saying "Jimin is mine". He was showing everyone that only he has that effect on Jimin and vice versa by putting his hand over his heart.

Watching the content from that time, when they were in LA, really shows how inseparable Jimin and Jungkook were. Glued to each other on stage, off stage, off camera. Eating together, working out together, Jungkook spending four hours in Jimin's room three times a day (basically, sharing the same room). They were always together.

On 6th Dec 2021, Jimin, Jungkook and Seokjin flew back to SK. Jungkook and Seokjin are the first to arrive while Jimin gets held back. Seokjin leaves. Jungkook stays back and waits 20 mins for Jimin to arrive so that they can leave for their home (not homes) together. But later they get separated due to covid restrictions and take different cars.

This is the time when their company announces that BTS members are opening their individual IG accounts.

And guess what Jungkook chose as his very first profile pic and post on IG?

This one:

Both were of the beach they visited together while in LA.

He even tagged the beach location thus confirming they were at Santa Monica and that the three of them went there together. Also, confirming that Jimin and Yein indeed were not together.

Now we have got a good idea which member actually posted those pics on their official account right?

Bro couldn't wait to shut down all those rumors. He dropped the location like a mic, loud and clear. No more guessing games. Just facts.

He then posted a story where Jimin and Taehyung can be seen. Once again with location.

On 19th Dec 2021, Sojang posted a defamation rumor against Taehyung. Which prompted him to say that he's suing her.

On 22nd Dec 2021, Sojang posted dating rumor about Jungkook and Yubi. The rumors were denied by both the parties.

On 30th Dec 2021, Sojang posted a dating rumor between Namjoon and a random girl. The next day, Namjoon posted a story on Weverse denying the rumor. He later deleted it.

On 31st Dec 2021, Jungkook posted this:

Once again Santa Monica was the star. I wanna say I was not surprised when I saw this. But I was. Because I lost count of the times he posted about it.

It was kind of wild honestly. Jungkook kept posting the same thing over and over, like he really wanted to drill it into everyone's heads. Emphasizing on the location and date. No drama, no direct call outs. Just facts. Repeated facts. He was on a personal mission to shut down the rumors.

And the thing is he'd never done that for anyone else. Not for Yoongi (Yoongi and Suran), not for Hoseok (Hoseok and Irene) and not for Namjoon (Namjoon and the poodle girl). All these were baseless rumors too. But with Jimin? He went all out. Like he was saying, "Nope. Not my bf."

But really. It's honestly impossible to ignore what Jungkook did. He's never gone this far for anyone else. Never posted the same thing over and over making sure every little detail was clear. Not for anyone else. But for Jimin? It was like he was quietly saying "You're mine to protect and I'll make sure everyone knows it".

it had been a wonderful night so far. lando couldn't drink due to the drugs the doctors gave him so you didn't drink either out of solidarity. lando had gone off to do lando things, probably finding a way to the dj booth or socializing with whoever he can. you were just sat at this couch in the vip area. you were talking to charles for a while before he went off to do celebratory shots. you were so tired from the timezone difference, vegas compared to the netherlands was messing with your system. you had your head leaned back against the couch, your eyes were just looking at some of the drivers having a lot of fun and celebrating in one of the best party cities in the world.

you felt someone sit down next to you on the couch. you didn't know who it was at first but you quickly smelt the cologne and knew. max. you two hadn't really spoken since 2021, when you ended it. it wasn't the prettiest of breakups but we were both stupid kids and in love back then. you both should've known it wouldn't work out. you tried, though. you tried with every single thing you had in you but at the end of the day, fate would always be stronger.

"hey, y/n. haven't seen you in awhile," max finally said, breaking the silence. he sort of had seen you though, on instagram. had he missed you? every fucking day. you broke up with him though, and you seemed happier. if you were happy, he would accept that.

"sure," was all you said. that was your telltale sign that you did not want to talk. but let's be honest, max verstappen not having a conversation when he wants to sounded impossible. he wanted to fix things, he wanted to fix it all. why wouldn't you let him? "any chance we can talk?" he asked you. he wouldn't really take no for an answer. he would just talk to you while you listened, but even that would be stretching it.

you stood up from the couch, careful to not look at him. if you looked at him, you would be a goner and would do just about anything he asked you to. you were a strong person except when it came to max. "see you around," you muttered to him before leaving the vip area. you would infact not be seeing him around, not if you can avoid it. maybe not drinking was a bad idea. you had spotted lando who was busy chatting away to someone. "fuck," you whispered under your breath, realizing that the person who you had to make sure got home safely was still having a good night. you wouldn't want to cut his night short, especially when his night started bad with the race.

you felt some hands wrap around your waist and before you could protest, these hands were pushing you out this door to the club's back alley. you knew those hands though. you knew them all too well. "max, what the hell?!" you shouted at him as you felt the cool night air hit your face. it felt better than how being inside that club felt.

he knew this was probably too far. but when has 'too far' ever stopped him. he was so done with this all. 2 years of not having more than 10 words shared between you two. you two used to talk every single day, where did it all go wrong? he knew this one was his fault. he was the one who had lost you, all for racing. he gave up you for racing. he was a royal idiot for that. "i am so done with you not even talking to me!" he shouted to you. he was thanking god that you two were in an alley and not somewhere public for this.

"i don't want to talk to you," you said to him. not many people held their ground against max, but you always did. you never wanted to talk to him again, not since your breakup. you were happy and had a great life, you didn't need the mess that was max verstappen. "you never do!" he said back. that was true and you both knew it.

"you're right! i never do! because you fucked up," you shouted to him, putting your finger straight to his chest. the breakup was infact not mutual like the media made it seem. you two broke up because you were trying to support him in racing while still building a life in tennis for yourself. you could see the stress eating away at max that year and he still wouldn't let you help. even if it was help from afar. you tried to be there. he didn't even try to be there for you and your goals either.

"i know i did. believe me, i know i fucked it up," he said to you. there had been quite a few sleepless nights where his brain just wouldn't turn off. he had only been thinking about you. tonight was just his breaking point. he was done acting like he hadn't been thinking about you.

there was a moment of silence as we just looked at eachother. we had grown up a lot since we last got close like this. "so then why? just why?" you pleaded to him to just give him a real answer. 2021 had been a hard year for him and you knew that. but you were his girlfriend. you were meant to be there and help him but he wouldn't let you. he pushed you away at any chance he got. then you were alone. it was an endless cycle of you trying to help max with his stress, him pushing you away, and then you also getting lost to your own stress.

he put his hands on either side of your face. he knew he couldn't give you the answer he had given you when you asked this question 2 years ago. he couldn't say "just a tough year" because although that was a part of it, it wasn't the entire truth. and you deserved the truth. "i pushed you away before you could push me away," he said to you as he looked into your eyes. he felt like an idiot for saying that but it was the whole truth.

you gave him a slightly confused look. that had been a different answer than what you got 2 years ago. how could he even think you would push him away? you loved him so much and you had for years. you would have clung to him, even in death. "if i wouldn't have won in 2021, there was that thought that you would be gone," he admitted.

"i wouldn't have left. i wouldn't have ever done that," you quickly said. you had to say that really quickly before he spoke again. clearly your words took him aback a little. he really felt stupid for ever thinking that you would leave, let alone leave simply because he won a championship. mentally, you said 'fuck it', and just kissed him. you pulled away for a second to whisper, "je bent een idioot, max verstappen (you are an idiot, max verstappen)". then you kissed him again.

he smiled in the kiss, his hands in your hair and yours in his. your words were true, he was an idiot. he would probably have to kiss you a million times to make up for him pushing you away. and that was a price he was willing to pay. he felt you pull away and as desperately as he wanted to pull you back into him, he knew you had some more words to say.

you pulled away. "but you left. you left when it got hard and i will never put myself in that position ever again," you said to him. your lips stung with how much desire you had for max. but you had to make smart decisions, you could not get hurt again. and deep down, you knew he would leave if it got hard again. him leaving again would hurt too much. you had a good life now, he had a good life now.

he felt his heart shatter at your words. but he knew you were right that he had left when it got hard. he had taken the coward's way out. he wanted you to be happy and you seemed so happy with your life now. he couldn't take that from you. he nodded his pain away and spoke softly to you, "i hope you have nothing but happiness in life". then he walked away. he walked away but this time for your sake. he knew you wouldn't walk away from him so he walked away from you. he really did hope you had nothing but happiness in life. he could hear all about your happiness from the bits that victoria shared with him.

How to intentionally create your 2025 vision board

I started making vision boards in 2021 when everything felt overwhelming, and I had all these dreams and goals I wanted to achieve. As a visual learner, it definitely helped me visualize and picture what I want my future to look like.

And as time went on and I made a yearly vision board, I adapted and changed how I go about organizing and creating it. Personally, I believe there isn’t any “right” way when it comes to creating your vision board - your vision board is an embodiment of you and at the end of the day, it’s what feels right for you.

But I also believe it is important to be intentional when it comes to creating your board for the year. Inherently we have a plethora of goals and dreams that we would try to cram into a year in order to see and make progress in our lives. However, because we don’t change our lives in flashes of brilliance but rather, through a slow process that will ultimately result in breakthroughs (Weist, 111), when it comes to planning your year ahead and making your vision board, it’s good to consider a less-is-more approach. 

For instance:

Make a list in your notes app of the specific areas of your life that you really want to focus on this year and add more details of what exactly you're looking to achieve. For example, in health I'd like to start taking gym classes and make healthier breakfast meals.

Select which format you'd like to use; I shifted from making my vision board a collage to making it on Pinterest! This was mainly because I like to change my phone backgrounds and laptop backgrounds often and since I use Pinterest regularly, it felt like a better format for me. I’ve also seen videos where some use Notion as well. Ultimately, it’s whichever feels right for you!

This is where the less-is-more approach comes in: select three photos maximum that best fits your goals. It’s aesthetically pleasing to have a lot of photos all put together but sometimes it can be overwhelming for your brain. The point of a vision board is to help your mind ingrain these aspirations thereby assisting the process of taking action. Selecting a few pictures that look like they’re from your point of view or you can imagine yourself in can help your mind to become more focused on that specific goal.

Optional: Screenshot your list you made in your notes app and include it in your board just as a reminder of what your goals are!

Overall, a vision board is another way to assist in organizing your aspirations and helping you take action. And as aspirational and determined as we are, it is important to remember to not pile too much onto your plate, and thereby your vision board. Take it one step at a time and allow that momentum to build.

Short Story - Under the Mistletoe with MC (Unused Intro)

Characters: MC, the demon brothers, and the side characters Word Count: ~1.1k Warnings: None, just the usual brothers and co. silliness Notes: This was the original intro for the "Under the Mistletoe with MC" snippet I wrote back in 2021. Initially, I planned to make that snippet into a series of stories during December leading up to Christmas, with each story being one character (minus Luke) that MC chose to kiss under the mistletoe. Unfortunately, I bit off more than I could chew, haha. Not having enough time to write so many stories, I had to settle with a snippet format, albeit longer than my usual ones, and write a different intro that I felt flowed better for it. I really like how the original intro turned out, though, and in my wave of nostalgia for the series, I decided to polish it a little and share it with everyone as my gift for this year. I hope you all enjoy it and have a wonderful holiday season! 😊💕

Mammon spit out his drink.  “Ya did what?!”

All eyes were on the small demon familiar, his pointed teeth visible as he snickered at everyone’s reactions from him interrupting their holiday festivities.  “You heard me,” Little D. No. 2 declared, his yellow irises twinkling brightly with glee under the candlelight from the living room’s chandeliers.  “I hung mistletoe somewhere in the House of Lamentation.”

“I heard what ya said,” Mammon remarked angrily, grabbing the round familiar to prevent him from fleeing, “but what I wanna know is why ya did it!”

“Well, you didn’t ask that, now did you?” Little D. No. 2 retorted.

“Keep talkin’ like that, pipsqueak, and you’ll be the new Fangol ball!”

“What’s the big deal?” Luke wondered aloud.  “Mistletoe is just a plant, right?”

“And both a parasitic and poisonous one from the human world at that,” Satan added.  “I’m surprised we don’t have any growing naturally in the Devildom.”

“What?!  Isn’t it dangerous to have it here then?!”

“Not to worry, Luke,” Solomon assured the angel.  “It’s only a parasite to trees and other plants, and it can only hurt someone if they ingest it.  Aside from that, it’s a nice decoration, especially during this time of year.”

“Ah, I remember seeing pictures of it before,” Simeon remarked.  “Even though it can grow in cooler weather, it still has vibrant green leaves and white berries.”

“Berries?” Beelzebub questioned, his mouth already watering.

“Beel, you did hear the part about it hurting you if you eat it, right?” Belphegor reminded his twin, suppressing a yawn while leaning onto him for support.

“I’ve got a strong stomach.  I can handle it.  So, where is it?”

“I hid it, big guy,” Little D. No. 2 told him.  “You gotta find it yourself!”

“What fun!” Diavolo exclaimed with a wide grin.  “It’s like a treasure hunt!”

“Hehehe, it’s a little more than that, Your Majesty!”

“Hm?  What do you mean?”

“There’s a tradition in the human world revolving around mistletoe, My Lord,” Barbatos explained.  “If you intend to find it, you’ll want to be with someone very special to you when you do.”

“That’s right!” Asmodeus chimed in cheerfully.  “Solomon taught me all about it last time he summoned me during the holidays, so I got to experience this fantastic tradition first-hand.”

“Yes, and so did everyone you came across at the party that day,” the sorcerer commented, recalling the event in his mind.

“Oh, so something exciting happens when you find a mistletoe with someone special?” Diavolo inquired.  “In that case, Lucifer, you should join Barbatos and me in searching for it.”

Lucifer shook his head, already appearing exhausted from the whole situation.  “I’ll pass.  I want nothing to do with this nonsense.”

The eldest brother’s demeanor gave Mammon an idea.  “You’re right, Lucifer!  This is all just nonsense!  Tell ya what,—”  He secured the demon familiar under his arm.  “—I’ll have this troublemaker tell me where the mistletoe is, and I’ll get rid of it right away.  Consider it an extra gift from the Great Mammon!”

Mammon glanced over at the human who’d been silently observing the conversation this whole time.  “Hey, MC, instead of starin’ off into space, ya oughta come help me out.  B-But only because this pipsqueak is more likely to tell you where the mistletoe is than if I asked him.”

“Wait, wait, wait,” Leviathan spoke up, “I see what you’re doing here, Mammon.  You’re planning to get MC under the mistletoe with you alone!  That’s not fair!”

“I-I don’t know what you’re talkin’ about!  Ya really think I wanna bring MC along with me just to follow some human tradition about k-kissin’ under the mistletoe?”

“Kissing?!” Diavolo and Luke shouted in unison, completely taken aback.  Their matching bewildered expressions made Barbatos quietly chuckle.

“Obviously you do, Mammon,” Satan remarked.  “You couldn’t be more obvious if you tried.”

“Yeah, and there’s no way we’re letting you get away with being under the mistletoe with MC!” Asmodeus declared.  “Besides, I’m sure they’d much rather find the mistletoe with me, wouldn’t you, MC?”

“What?!  No way!” Mammon argued, too distracted to notice Little D. No. 2 slipping out of his hold.  “They’re coming with me!”

“You’re all so noisy,” Belphegor noted.  “I’m sure MC would much rather go with someone calmer, like me.”

“MC, my nose is really good, so I can sniff out the mistletoe’s berries quickly,” Beelzebub explained.  “You want to try them, too, right?”

“You might be okay, Beel, but those berries are definitely poisonous to humans,” Satan pointed out.  “MC, why don’t you stick with me instead?”

“H-Hey, don’t leave me out of this!” Leviathan butted in.  “I mean, then again, maybe you wouldn’t want to be under the mistletoe with a yucky shut-in otaku like me, MC, but...please choose me anyway!”

“Why am I not surprised it’s turned out this way?” Lucifer muttered with a sigh.

“Perhaps because Mammon and the others always tend to act like this whenever MC is involved?” Simeon answered with a gentle laugh.

Everyone had certainly become rowdy, most of them bickering amongst themselves about who would end up under the mistletoe with MC.  As for the human in question?  They continued watching from the sidelines, unsure of how to remedy the situation.

“Hoo boy, it sure gets crazy with those guys, huh?” Little D. No. 2 said, floating over to MC’s side.  The human shot them an annoyed glance.  “H-Hey, don’t look at me like that!  I just wanted to add a little extra excitement to the day, that’s all.  And I thought I’d help you find an excuse to have a special moment with your special someone...”

The demon familiar snickered at MC’s shocked expression.  “What, you think I haven’t figured it out by now?  You should be thanking me for such a thoughtful Christmas gift!”  He glanced at the commotion nearby.  “Though, I guess it’s gotten a bit out of control, huh?  Ah, well, this is practically normal for these guys at this point.  More importantly...”

They moved in closer to the human to whisper, “I wanna know if my hunch was right:  Who do you want to be under the mistletoe with, MC?”

MC mulled over the question while gazing at the chaotic group in front of them.  They had someone in mind, but...where was he?  He was with everyone a few moments ago, but now he was nowhere in sight.  Suddenly, someone grabbed their hand and pulled them out of the room, leaving the startled demon familiar and the preoccupied group of boys behind.  This warmth...  They’d recognize it anywhere.

August 25, 2023 – Zandvoort, Netherlands

Lando sat slouched in his chair in the team briefing room, trying to pay attention as the engineers and strategists went through the usual pre-race rundown. It was another humid morning in Zandvoort, the waves of heat rolling in through the windows and making the air feel thick. He glanced around, catching the occasional murmurs from his teammates and a few glances at the clock ticking toward the start of practice.

It was hard to concentrate. His thoughts kept drifting elsewhere. He didn’t even realize how long he’d been holding his phone in his hand, scrolling through TikTok. The screen flickered with video after video, but the algorithm had decided it was time for him to revisit a familiar face: Amelie.

Every other video was of her, performing for a massive crowd at the Foro Sol in Mexico City, opening for Taylor Swift at the Eras Tour. The clips were breathtaking: Amelie, radiant in a shimmering outfit, her voice soaring above the crowd as she belted out the lyrics to “Feather” under the lights, the Mexican crowd singing along. It was the culmination of a dream she’d been chasing for as long as he knew her.

Lando felt a knot form in his stomach. He didn’t know why it hit him like it did. It wasn’t like he hadn’t seen her perform before; he’d seen the clips, the snippets, the interviews. But this—this was different. This was her dream. The one she had talked about late at night, when the rest of them were playing games or chatting casually. Opening for Taylor Swift. Selling out arenas. The world loving her.

And now, there she was, making it happen.

He felt a wave of pride rush over him. It was almost overwhelming, like a flood of emotions he didn’t know how to process. He wasn’t even sure how to feel about it. They’d been through so much—their messy, chaotic relationship from 2020 to 2021, the fallout, the years of silence. And even though they hadn’t spoken in months, even though they hadn’t really been anything but strangers in each other’s lives since their last run-in in Monaco—god, he still cared.

It wasn’t supposed to matter. But somehow, it did.

Lando scrolled past another video of her, her smile wide as she waved to the crowd. Then a thought hit him—a flash of something impulsive, something that felt right despite how reckless it was.

Yellow tulips.

She’d always loved yellow tulips, he remembered. It was something small, something trivial, but it was something he’d learned about her back in their time together. A quiet moment on a balcony in Monaco, just after a long day, when she’d told him that yellow tulips were her favorite flowers. He could still picture the way her eyes had lit up when she said it.

Without even thinking about it, he started typing, pulling up the page for a flower delivery service. He was aware of the irony of it all. The thought of sending her flowers after everything—after the way they ended—felt like both a statement and a confession, a way to acknowledge that something had been left unfinished between them.

But he couldn’t stop. He filled out the details, unsure if he was just being impulsive or if he was actually making a move to fix something.

"Yellow tulips to the Foro Sol" he typed, his fingers moving before he could overthink it.

Lando stared at the confirmation screen for a moment, then exhaled slowly, as if he’d been holding his breath this whole time. He clicked "confirm."

There was no turning back now. The tulips would be sent, and he would have to live with the consequences. Two possible outcomes, he thought to himself: one, she loved them. Two, she threw them in the trash.

Neither scenario seemed ideal, but at least he could live with the fact that he’d tried. That he’d done something that wasn’t just about himself for once. It was for her. Maybe, in some small way, it was an apology, or a way to show her that, despite everything, he still cared.

—Are you even listening?— one of the engineers asked, breaking him from his trance. Lando blinked up at him, suddenly aware that everyone was looking at him.

—Yeah,— Lando muttered, clearing his throat. —Yeah, just thinking. Sorry.—

The engineer raised an eyebrow but moved on, continuing the briefing. But Lando’s head was still spinning.

He couldn’t explain it. He couldn’t explain why he still felt this pull towards her, why her smile in those TikTok videos made his heart ache. They hadn’t talked in months, hadn’t shared more than a few awkward moments in the past year. They weren’t friends, and they weren’t anything more than exes.

But still.

She was out there, living her dream, and he was here, in the middle of a Dutch Grand Prix weekend, trying not to think about her.

He didn’t even know what he expected from sending the flowers. Maybe it was a way to prove to himself that he wasn’t the same guy he was before. A way to show her he wasn’t the person who messed things up, that he could be better now. Maybe it was just the thought of her, still somewhere in the back of his mind, even after everything that had happened.

Lando sat back in his chair, a sudden tension in his chest. He wanted to believe that he was over it, that the years of silence had made him stronger, less affected. But it was hard to ignore how much he still cared. She was still her, after all. Amelie. The girl who had once been his whole world.

It didn’t matter that they were no longer anything.

The flowers would be delivered tomorrow. He would know soon enough whether or not she even cared.

But for now, he could only hope that somehow—somewhere—this would make her smile.

Maybe, just maybe, it could be the start of something new.

Ginuwine - Pony 1996

"Pony" is a song by American singer Ginuwine, released as the debut single from his first album, Ginuwine…The Bachelor (1996). Ginuwine co-wrote and produced the song with Swing Mob associates Static Major, Digital Black, Smoke E. Digglera, and Timbaland; the latter made his breakthrough as a producer with the song. adsfkj i have dusted off the cql folder on my computer for the first time since 2021 and i just found a bunch of fic snippets so short i can't even tell what they were supposed to be about. except this one in which i apparently had the lan sect invent hash functions, all so that there could be a dramatic reveal that jiang cheng had never removed wei wuxian from the yunmeng jiang sect records??

Wei Wuxian sighed and slumped back on his heels. It wasn't that he was incapable of being patient, he just didn't want to. Here was an array that could tell a sect if a prospective initiate was currently on another sect's rolls, without actually giving any sect access to the records of another sect. How was it doing that? The applications for this technology were potentially enormous. Wei Wuxian couldn't wait to get his grubby little hands all over the design.

there's also a more extended passage from a different "wei wuxian finds out he's still a member of ymj" concept (feat. jin ling!) which includes the paragraph

"He can't join the Lan sect!" Jin Ling was exclaiming. "He's already in a sect, technically, and you can only be on the official roster for one sect at a time. I should know, my elders have only been hounding me about it since before I could even say the words 'conflict of interest.'"

but the rest of them are just single sentence one-offs like

dying to know where i was going with this. and who was the narrator? whoever it is, they are definitely comparing someone unfavorably to jiang cheng. some idiot has fallen in a hole and jiang cheng comes along and the narrator is like now that's what i'm talking about. maybe the narrator is the idiot in question? maybe wei wuxian is the idiot. but then i don't know why i would have been leaning on the sect leader thing since wei wuxian is not a sect leader. 2021 was a long time ago apparently because i have no memory of this.

WAKE UP ╱ LET’S LEAVE is a double-sided single released by the sub-unit ‘LOOPiN HERE&THERE,’ made up of members JIHU and O.Z. Released in early June 2023, both tracks were written as a collaborative effort between them, with the production mostly falling on the latter’s shoulders while JIHU only accompanied in the final mastering of the two tracks. The singles were accompanied by a short MV, more of a collection of colourful scenes than any coherent storyline, and were what JIHU referred to as a ‘passion project,’ although whether he meant for him or for both of them was unclear.

While he’s not officially part of nor particularly affiliated with the produce line, Jihu still dabbles in it—but mostly in his own time. His tendency to leave projects half-finished, always jumping from one thing to the next as soon as the next strike of inspiration hits, isn’t always one that meshes well with his fellow group members. All of these snippets, however long, live on his SoundCloud, underneath the username ‘baejha17.’ Some of these capsules of split-second thought and feeling include ‘holdOn,’ ‘COMI,’ ( with J.J taking up the bulk of the vocals ) and ‘되감기’ ( meaning rewind ). He hasn’t had an official solo debut other than his 2018 release ‘GO BACK’ before the group was properly formed, but the ( occasionally incomplete ) songs had been coming thick and fast throughout most of 2024, only petering out towards the end, and that seemed to have satisfied those wanting a full own-project enough for the time being.

WAIT A MiNUTE.. STOP! RECORD SCRATCH!

APRIL 2025.⠀Posted without warning, without explanation. It got people talking, had them confused—and just as much, theorising. An official solo debut? A campaign announcement? ( Although, when asked for what, those who’d suggested the idea came up short ). Are you even real? The line, for some, felt like a callback to the long-abandoned Looplore, and so many an old analysis on all of the loosely-tied-together content was dug back up again so they could comb over it, desperate to find something within it that they may have missed; something that may give them the answer to this singular ( and unhelpfully blank ) jigsaw piece placed before them.

Back in the same place on the same day doing the same things. It starts to mess with your mind, after a while. What are you doing all of this for, anyway? Why can’t you just—not? Would it really be so bad to walk down the wrong streets, skip work, eat out for the night? Come on, you know you want to. What do you mean, you’re not allowed? Break out. Prove your existence, even if you’re the only one who’ll know about it. They’re going back, or moving forward, and you’re left to watch. This might be your only chance. ⠀⸻⠀ fan-theory on the thought process behind AYER?

So.. What was it? Well. When there’s a glitch on your screen, a crack in the system ( someone’s broken out, someone’s taken the chance ), then I guess you’ll know. But for now, you can only wonder.
