I’m going to get top surgery soon, and I have a lot of binders I need to donate, does anyone know a good place?

they are all lightly used due to my family enforcing a ‘don’t break your ribs’ rule where they made sure I could just stay comfortable at home most of the time because I over wore my binder once and my chest had bruises.

I also have some unused trans tape because I’m allergic to the adhesive if anyone’s interested.

I wish that I could help more with the situation you’re in, but I live with my mom at the moment and don’t have enough money to move out on my own. I was looking into moving out by the end of this year, but I know you probably don’t have that kind of time. But I do live in SC as well, so if you still need a place to stay by the time I get a place I’m sure we could work that out! I'll definitely keep that in mind because the way it's looking, I'm not going to find a place before then. I don't have that sort of time. I have to leave here by the end of February.

You would think with how big the feedism community is, that there would be at least one person capable and willing to take me in. But that's just simply not the case. That, or my posts aren't reaching that person, whoever they may be.

I feel defeated. I really do.

I hate to do this but I have exactly $0 in my bank account, and a credit card payment due next week + possible T-patch prescription that I don’t know how much I’ll be paying for. I have a Ko-fi, and I’m open to any and all donations. Finding a job has been hard on my mental health and I can’t apply for unemployment insurance since I’m a student full-time. Hello! I'm still fundraising for my FTM Top Surgery. Today I found out that insurance is going to be able to cover a good chunk of it, which is awesome! Update!

It’s been over six months since my surgery and I couldn’t be happier! I can simply put on a shirt and go outside, and my scars are healing beautifully.

The above sight was a great help gaining information for my consult and understanding the process.

However, it turns out I had pretty much the best surgeon I could get, and she was amazing every step of the way.

As a person with a low pain tolerance, I thought I might express regret at the pain afterwards.

But even with my chest throbbing the first three day, I was through the roof happy.

I finally felt whole, complete and in love with my body.

I love my chest. The best way to describe it is that I feel like me now.

Before, I had a constant discomfort. Always there and sometimes worsening to the point I couldn’t leave the house.

But now? I can wear anything I want, I can walk and move and my body feels like it is mine.

Also: the nipples are a thing the first two months. Think zombie skin and you’re pretty close. I had to contact the surgeon a few times to make sure they wouldn’t fall off. (Because apparently, they will look like that, and yes, they’re still fine.)

And I can safely say that I still have both my nipples and have (surprisingly) regained all feeling in them. So yay!

Anyway, this is my PSA to take the step to feel at home in your body, especially in today’s world.

For people seeking top surgery and chest masculinization, there is an amazing resource called

TopSurgery.net that provides resources, knowledge, and can help connect you to surgeons!

They have a selection of before and after photos from different surgeons, as well as information regarding questions to ask your surgeon, a primer on nipples, and more.

I highly suggest checking it out and using its resources to its full benefit.

I have a surgical consult tomorrow and am actually considering getting another one know if the surgeon does not have the expertise for the procedure I desire. (In other words I went from ‘I get what I get’ to ’this is my body and I get what I want or as close as possible’)

i think there's a conversation to be had about cis people (and this very much includes women) trying to "compliment" how us trans men look(ed) pre-transition (whether medical or social) by saying things like "why did you do that?", "you used to be a baddie"�� it's insulting how they think that our self-worth is entirely dependent on our looks—and yes, it's very much misogynistic: how dare a beautiful girl do this to herself? how dare you throw your beauty away when it determines how worthy you are of respect?
