#fuck transmisogyny

The best way I've ever heard transmisogyny delineated is functionally along the lines of:
"Transfems are not women who get mistaken for men - we are women, who you can hit - if you pretend to believe that we're actually men."
I know a lot of people appreciate the other classic "transmisogyny is being arrested for revealing your nipples, and then being incarcerated among men," and that one's good too.
Another way to expound first one, though just struck me, and felt revealing:
"Transfems are women who are denied the social technology of feminism."
Which is to say we are made the victims of misogyny in everything that implies, our whole lives - and rather than see us as victims, society is entrained to revictimize us. To disbelieve our victimhood, to recriminate it, to debate in front of us the value of our our abuse, to be cast as having deserved it, for being dangerous, for being loud, for being undesirable by hegemonic standards.
Does this sound like a list of ways that victims are treated, damn, funny that, that's so fucking weird, y'all.
This is all about a fuck times worse while you're an egg, as well, because at that point, even you lack the social technology of feminism as applied to oneself. You can't even understand what's happening to be misogyny - or like I'm sure some people figured it out in real time and still remained eggs, but I could never ever even think of applying feminist analysis to myself and my own life until I thought of my life as being a woman's.
In short: fuck you. Fuck you all. Except y'all who are transfem yourself, holy shit it is not easy.

I've always known that existing as a trans woman on the internet carries some inherent risk, but I don't think I've ever seen the CEO of a whole ass company have such direct and personal beef with a woman just for posting jokes

In light of recent events, as well as the revelations regarding Tumblr's plans to sell user data, I want to remind everyone that you can find me on multiple other socials via my 🌳 Linktree 🌳
If you want to reliably keep up with The Moth and the Bear or the rest of my work, please follow me elsewhere. I'm probably not going anywhere, because I'm stubborn as hell, but I just don't know anymore, and I don't want anyone to get left behind.
This whole thing really frustrates me because Tumblr has always been my biggest and most engaged audience, and my favorite platform in general, and other socials still feel like throwing my art into a mostly empty, uncaring void. I've just always failed to gain any traction in other places.
But idk, we'll just have to see.

It's really simple. If you're born with a vagina and you naturally have elevated testosterone levels, you're a man. If you have a vagina and you take testosterone, you're a woman. But also if you have a vagina, you'll never be a man. But also if you have higher testosterone then you were never a woman. Woman never yes man a vagina testosterone no was an elevated. Vagina man.

Algerian boxer Imane Khelif is a cisgender woman, you absolute freaks. The International Boxing Association never did a karyotype test on her; they only tested her testosterone levels. She was disqualified from competing due to antiquated, misogynistic and patriarchal regulations that require women to present according a Platonic ideal (a perfect form) of Womanhood. She is a cis woman; she did not undergo “male puberty,” you genitalia-obsessed weirdos.
She grew up in a rural Algerian village and overcame numerous gender barriers to get where she is. Her father forbade her from boxing because he didn’t approve of girls playing the sport, and he actively prevented her from practicing. She would be actively prevented from boxing again in 2023 because a panel of men deemed her not “woman” enough because of arbitrary rules about how much testosterone a “true lady” should produce.
Imane Khelif’s life story is one of overcoming adversity put in place by the arbitrary rules the patriarchy imposes upon women to keep men as men and women down.
Also, it is literally illegal to be trans in Algeria. Algeria does not allow people to change their sex on official documents or undergo medical or hormonal treatment to transition. Y’all are freaks who hate queer people and women. Leave Imane Khelif alone. Leave trans women alone. Leave women alone, period.

I'm never not going to be fucking pissed at just how fucking much the world wants to deny transfems literally anything. you can't even say something as stereotypically trans as "i wish I was born a girl" without a million vicious cunts either telling you you had it easy and are actually misogynistic for wishing that, or straight up calling you a pedophile over it. genuinely fucking evil

Nobody is socialized female.
Nobody is socialized male.
We are all socialized under patriarchy. We are trained to know how all gender positionalities are "supposed" to behave, and then you just come to understand how you fit into that schema of positionalities, and how patriarchy fucking lies about you.

Photomatt following an open Zionist because he said Predstrogen sexually harassed minors (when everyone knows that's a lie spread by TERFs without evidence) sure does explain a bit about the state of this hellsite.

Stay the fuck away from trans women
Tumblr media
everything in this post is TMRA garbage, not worth even arguing with.
People like this have no business speaking to or about us, let alone insisting that we should be in community with them. This is just tortured rationalization to treat us like garbage and reify patriarchal hierarchy by placing men in authority and power over women.
Trans women, you do not have to let toxic dipshits like this into your lives nor do you have to listen to them. They do not know what they're talking about, they only want to define our place as subordinate to them even as they move through the world as actual men. Be free of this garbage, be yourselves, don't let this shit drag you down.
people like this love to accuse us of terf rhetoric, but that entire post is literally terf rhetoric
also could someone who is not one of these unhinged woman-hating MRAs explain how people got to "white trans women are more male than other trans women" like they realize they're just trying to litigate excuses to say that shit and this isn't real analysis or theory right? Especially given how often trans women of color are ~suddenly white~ when people are mad at them?

Yea, I'm pro TransUnity™.
I would like a united community! But to accomplish that you don't shut down anyone talking about intra-community issues and saying we "divide the community" or are "playing opression olympics". Rather, you need to listen.
Listen to transmisogyny-affected people about intracommunity transmisogyny. Listen to trans poc about intracommunity racism. Listen to disabled trans people about intracommunity ableism. Etc, Etc.
Listen to people you want to share a community with you have privilege over, just LISTEN for once, without immediately snapping back! Maybe you'll learn something instead of alienating people you have privilege over and pushing them to make their own smaller communities. And maybe then we can finally have some fucking TransUnity™

I know some people have unfathomable beef with the term but i really don’t see the issue with transmascs describing their specific experiences with societal mistreatment and persecution as “transandrophobia”, like i think it’s good to be able to discuss specific experiences and articulate the problems you’re facing actually.

Seriously, as someone who fell into transmedicalism + truscum bullshit as a teenager because I felt like I needed to validate myself over other trans people as a knee jerk response to my own trauma: The things trans radfems say is SO parallel to the shit that sucked me into truscum bullshit and subsequently transmedicalism it's almost triggering.
The idea that it's okay to be cruel to other trans people because their language, their existence, "hurts you and your community" and "they have structural power over you" is true transsexual scum bullshit through and through. It's the exact same thing truscum were saying about (mostly afab) nonbinary people + gnc trans mascs a decade ago and whoa...... they're doing it again! Because clearly you're the real trannies, unlike those trenders - I mean theyfabs - I mean TMEs - I mean - I mean, guys if we do exclusionism right this time it'll work I prommy!!!!
You can't make a turd shine with a fresh coat of paint.
