How to Create Effective Test Cases for Functional Testing
Creating well-structured test cases is essential for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of functional testing. A well-written test case helps testers validate software functionality, detect defects, and improve overall quality.
Steps to Create Effective Test Cases
Understand Requirements – Analyze functional specifications, user stories, and business rules to ensure comprehensive coverage.
Define Clear Objectives – Each test case should focus on a specific function or feature with a clear expected outcome.
Write Detailed Test Steps – Provide step-by-step instructions for execution, including input values, actions, and expected results.
Ensure Test Case Independence – Design test cases that can be executed independently to avoid dependencies and inconsistencies.
Include Positive & Negative Scenarios – Cover both expected behavior (positive testing) and edge cases (negative testing) to improve software testing robustness.
Prioritize Test Cases – Identify critical test cases that address high-risk functionalities and execute them first.
Leverage Automation Where Possible – Automate repetitive test cases to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Conclusion
Effective test cases enhance functional testing by improving defect detection, reducing rework, and ensuring software reliability. Following best practices and continuously refining test cases helps achieve higher software quality and better user experience.

People who self-type as rare and "desired" categories, such as INFJs, INTJs, 5s, 4s, IEIs, ILIs and all Ns by extension
Let me ask, to what extent would your self-worth differ if you concluded you were mistyped and to what extent would it change if you found typology to be a false idea?
Back when I believed socionics was the answer to everything at 15, I was negatively affected by that interest. I questioned many things about myself because I seemed to have traits that didn't fit my EII (INFP,INFj) type, but I settled on it eitherway because of my focus on morality. It didn't help how little self esteem I had to be of the least impressive of the 4 "intelligent" types (and in the circles I was in most types were dismissed as "normie idiots") Socionics changed how I saw others. I believed others lacked moral values and intelligence, thought in a manner inconceivable to me and would fundamentally be bad company for me (and I for them)
Enneagram too had me constantly questioning every aspect of my behavior in order to confirm that I was indeed a "5w4"
If you are invested in personality typing, I think you should consider the influence of your emotions on your investment and take a short break. It helped me realise these systems fail to predict human behavior and the categories are largely arbitrary: people believe because it allows them to be superior to the majority and because it's a safety harness. If you are no longer certain about these systems, it might be useful to share your opinion of them in retrospect
constant edits: I've been learning to write this year and I am disappointed at my early writing

Most Painful Words You Can Hear:
"I never liked you".
"You are a burden".
"I wish you were never born".
"I'm an ENTP-T".
"You waste my time".
"You're so annoying".
"I share my 16 Personalities type with Satan, I'm so evil hehehe".
"You're better off dead".
"Sensors are stupid. I'm so glad I'm a sophisticated intuitive".
"I'm introverted so I'm an INFP".
"XNTJs are the most dangerous types".

literally just looking at various potential research labs for grad school and my brain has the audacity to give me the “fucking up the protein purification in front of everyone so badly they all think I’m an idiot” nightmare again
#haven’t had that bad boy since I left my research tech job#to be fair I’m p sure I’m the only person in the labs I’m looking at that has ever even purified a protein#like. of the labs I’m looking at the only wet labs are somewhere that doesn’t have the equipment on site#the others aren’t wet labs at all#but it is funny bc I was talking to a potential PI and she mentioned a problem that I could consider working on and my brain was like. well#this is prob best approached by enzyme activity assays#and I’m p sure this guy can’t be assayed in vivo#so. protein purification for in vitro testing?#but I HATE PURIFICATION.#and also literally if I wanted to do it I’d have to go to the other campus that has the centrifuges and liquid nitrogen!!!!!#which is fucking bizarre to me bc I worked somewhere where those things were standard#the university doesn’t even have an fplc……….#they simply don’t do that shit. which is kinda the point bc I don’t like that shit#and YET#somehow this specific problem offered to me as a potential thesis activates my sleeper agent purification brain#maybe if I were purifying my Own proteins for my Own assay to answer my Own questions……….#like. I wanna study evolution and genes!!!!!!#but if your genes keep having similar deletions in a protein under a certain condition I wanna know why????????#is it loss of function????? and if it’s not how is it changing function???????? how is it benefiting the organism?????#I was like okay well. have you tried knockouts of wild type and subbing in just this mutation#and PI was like /: we try to avoid knockouts bc expensive#and I realized how spoiled I have been bc I was in a lab where we already had and could afford knockouts and double knockouts#like oh you wanna study this gene? wanna sub in a modified version?#cool let’s order primers we have the knockouts you can put it on whatever plasmid expression system you want#that said. we did not have a plate reader or easy access to genotyping esp expression mass spec so#pros and cons. they do different stuff that they are set up for#but also apparently during Covid the prof that studies malaria literally used his own blood bc he couldn’t afford to source it#which. honestly given current events it’s good to know everyone already can buckle their belts and run a lab on two cents and fellowships#456 words#lab tag

idk man i just think that if u celebrate resources many people desperately rely on collapsing bc it symbolizes the collapse of the bigger harmful system ur maybe overlooking the actual people part of why we want these systems to end. if libraries are collapsing but were gaining more and more millionaires, i think laughing at ppl who use libraries bc their 'precious system' is collapsing is maybe the wrong response.
#i speak#text#idk so many ppl on here just. lack care to such an extreme extent that their interest in leftist politics actually has nothing to do with#improving material conditions for the working class and really just has to do with them feeling like they have a justification#for acting horrifically awful to other people. like to the point that they will see someone and make assumptions#about their experiences and resources and say vile things about them based on those assumptions but hey its ok bc theyre just being#a True Revolutionary. talking about how some people Probably Actually Dont Deserve To Live Based On This Split Second Assumption is praxis!#like. i dont know how any of you expect to build any sort of community after The Revolution when this is how you treat everyone In General.#do you think that after youve gotten rid of The Ontologically Bad People Whom Its Okay To Dehumanize youre gonna suddenly become someone wh#cares for the people around them? because you wont! youre going to look around at everyone left and come up with a NEW Type Of Evil Person#because you function in terms of 'me vs The People Who Arent Human' and you will ALWAYS be on the lookout for which people you can sort#into that second pile. but you have no self awareness about this so you will ALWAYS find ways to morally justify dehumanizing other people.#like idk how to explain to you that there is a difference between the billionaire who has exploited millions of people in order to hoard an#obscene amount of wealth and fucking jessica who likes to get an ice coffee before her shift at nordstrom#but idk maybe it makes me a liberal if i think someone who has no material power in the system doesnt deserve to die just because they#didnt commit their entire life to dismantling the system instead of just trying to get by.#because Moral Purity is the litmus test for who deserves personhood right?#i just think some of yall never matured past high school actually...

Got jumpscared by my own full legal name showing up in my email notifications bc I forgot I emailed my code to myself today just in case my VM ends up stopping working again (I got nervous & didn't wanna lose my progress lol)
Goldfish level memory retention
& the funny thing is that the email itself is just. This
Tumblr media
Full Legal Name code • hi
#speculation nation#title 'code' email is just 'hi'. with the .c file attached of course#honestly i had a very productive day in lab today. i got the core structure of the program down and made sure it all worked#testing it with One of the sorting algorithms. and it worked!!#the lab is to code functions for different kinds of sorts. like bubble sort selection sort and uhh. some other shit idr rn#and have the functions take timestamps from before and after they run the sorts to calculate the elapsed time#and we have to run this for array sizes of like. 10 50 500 etc etc up to like 50000 or smth? if i remember right.#and then once all that's done we take the output and graph the time elapsed for each type of sort/search per array sizes#so today at lab i made the random array generator function. a swap function. the execution function. bubble sort. and main.#main calls the execution function passing in the array sizes. execution(10); execution(50); etc#execution defines the array of that size. then calls the random number generator to populate the array. then passes it to the sort functions#tested with my one bubble sort function. which finished in like 0.00003 seconds or smth for array size 10#BUT taking the time stamps was tricky. there are a lot of ways to do that. and time(); in c is in full seconds#i ended up asking the TA if he had a recommendation for what to use bc theres a LOT of time functions out there#and full seconds isnt precise enough for this purpose. & he recommended clock()!!#records number of clock ticks which is NOT the same as seconds. but when u divide it by uh. forgetting it rn but it's a constant#that will turn it into actual seconds. clock tics per sec?? smth like that.#so anyways very productive 👍 i just need to set main up to call execution function for all the different array sizes#and then write all the functions for the different sorts/searches. but i have the core structure down with the bubble sort function#(specifically with the time stamps and the print function after) that i will copy-paste for all the other functions#and then inside them i put the basic code. none of it's complicated. all can be found on the internet easy.#SO!!!!! honestly i think itd take me less than an hour to finish. tho plotting out that graph is going to be annoying#something like 6 sizes per 5 sort/search functions. painstakingly copy pasting each one into excel or smth lol#but yea im content with how much ive gotten done. yippee!!!!#now i just need to finish my web programming lab before sunday night. blehhhhh

I don't know if you know any knowledge about mbti but what do you think of ayato's mbti really is?? I've seen people at the pdb debating if he's intj or entj
I'm answering this in bed right now because I saw this and it got me thinking. I'm going to go into cognitive functions here, so hopefully you can follow me with this typing.
tl;dr I think he's an enfj. But the explanation is down below. ((Thank you for the ask!!))
If you ask me personally what type he is, I'd actually say he's neither an entj or an intj. I'd say he's an enfj. To which someone would reply, "But their inf-ti! How can that be? Ayato is smart." It's a common misconception that "inferior" means you don't use the function.
Anyway, to the people that say he's high-te, my question is this. When exactly has he ever used te? Give me examples. However, at least in my opinion, there are many signs of fe. As head of the Yashiro Commission at a young age, Ayato has learned to navigate the realm of court officials, clan elders, and people of the sort. And he does this with ease. He manipulates situations to get his schemes moving like in the Irodori Festival. He likes doing things to watch the reactions of others and see them squirm. These are fe things.
When you compare high te characters like Ningguang (entj) or Keqing (estj), to high fe characters like Venti (enfj) or Lisa (enfj), who does he vibe more like? It's easy to get into the thought process that thinkers are smarter and more strategic than feelers, but enfjs have the same access to aux-ni and tert-se. That added with dom-fe, a function that's absolutely removed of emotions, makes them absolutely dangerous in the social scene.
Granted, I am not the best at typing mbti, so there's a chance I may be wrong here. But my gut tells me enfj.

I thought I was an INTJ my whole life: I got that on 16personalities (though people have told me that it's not very accurate), and other online ones (that probably weren't very accurate either...)
But I took the Michael Caloz test the other day, because many said that they liked that one, and I got ENTP??
I honestly don't know how much I agree with it - I'm not very spontaneous and I like lists and rules and stuff
Is there another test anyone recommends? I'm going to settle this once and for all (and by that I mean I'll continue thinking about which result I agree with the most until the end of time)

was about to come on here and talk about today’s accomplishments but then I saw that RESTRICT Act shit.
I’m so fucking scared, man. I won’t use the internet without a VPN, even if the one I currently use is a free one that probably does less than nothing. (I think it stems from my childhood and the illusion of security and knowing it’s likely fake is better than knowing it’s fake and not having it. It’s a recurring pattern in other things too.)
I don’t know what to do. I can’t afford to leave the state, let alone the country. A passport will be like $150 minimum. Canada just banned any foreigners from buying a house for the next two years,
like, this shit is so bad, my Trump-approved representative is against it.
I’m just so fucking scared of everything. About the election. About not being able to leave when push comes to shove— no country will take me, and there’s no way in hell any country will open up to ‘American refugees’. They’re all under the U.S.’s thumb. Maybe like China or Russia or North Korea, but they’d probably make you swear allegiance or some shit.

Check out above post if you want more context
Ok so according my results from these tests:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’m inclined to believe that Im an ISTJ
I had also initially taken the keys2cognition quiz around the same time I took the first sakinorva test and I basically got the same results as this recent one on here (unfortunately I had deleted the past results and can’t get them back)
