Time limits and being late for dinner
Danny, pinned down by gunfire on top of a wounded red hood who caught him in his territory and chased him into a rivals warehouse:
"Hey hood, soo... hypothetically, if I was to remove your helmet how long is the detonation trigger?"
Jason starting to lose conciousness and slur from blood loss:
"Like half a second after it triggers, it'll blow before you can clear my head, why?"
"Cool, that gives me half a second to see why my sister is obsessed with your ugly ass!"
"What? Wait... who's your sis-"
*grabs Jason's head by the helmet and phases it straight off and through his body using the momentum to throw it towards a group of shooters in a single move*
[There's a loud bang and the shooters duck for cover as two go down screaming from the shrapnel]
"-ter... hey! How'd you do that?"
"Ugh, I was right, you remind me of Johnnie. Oh well, c'mon man, well be late. Not something you want to experience when jazz is waiting"
"Jazz... Wait! Are you kidding me, the bookworm Jazz, is your sister?"
Danny braced his arms across hoods chest under the arms like they were floating in water and leaned backwards, red hood and himself suddenly unburdened by gravity slid through the wall covering their backs and disappeared from sight (if not sound as Jason dazedly kept commenting on the cute girl he'd mistaken for babs and if she actually liked him back)
They were late, jazz was definately gonna be mad!

A little detail I loved in "The Amazing Rudy": when Rudy is eating with the Belchers, Gene gives up his usual chair and sits in the folding chair, letting Rudy sit next to Louise.
I was trying to remember any other (non-Thanksgiving) occasions when one of the kids' friends ate with the family and the one I thought of was Tammy in "Sleeping with the Frenemy". Checking a screencap of that, I noticed that Tammy is sitting in the folding chair. No one is giving up their normal chair for Tammy.
So it's not like Bob and Linda force one of the kids to give up their chair for a guest. Gene chose to let Rudy sit in his chair (even though it was Gene's special B- dinner!) Just another cute Gene and Rudy moment in an episode that has a few of them ("love you, bro.")

You've heard of the trope of Garak and Bashir having a marriage of convenience (then admit their true love) to get him out of being extradited to Cardassia or something similar. But have you considered instead: Garak gets adopted by the O'Briens.

GOD I CAN'T STOP, HELP this one is a sequel to Don't change the subject, it alters the meaning of the sentence. I didn't mean to write one but I guess I did oops
Anyway it's about Zhanna and Medic talking about Heavy's protectiveness for the most part. It's not a shovel talk! It's nice really.

MK: Out of all the reckless, irresponsible, immature, things you could have done-
Rumble: Don't forget idiotic, imbecilic, inane.

Jay: Is this the part where you tell me that if I hurt Nya, you’ll kill me?
Kai: No. If you hurt Nya, she’s perfectly capable of killing you herself

Can fully envision Shaun Temple telling people 'this is my wife Donna Noble and this is our daughter Rose and this is my wife's partner the Doctor.'

I enjoy thinking about Rudy, Gene, and Zeke as future brothers-in-law and here's a small headcanon I came up with about that after the most recent episode:
About once a month or so the three of them and Bob get together to have dinner. Gene dreams up the entrees, Bob and Zeke do their best to make them into something good, Rudy helps however he can and offers positive feedback regardless of how it turns out (afterall, he found loaded baked potato lasagna to be "groundbreaking".)
