Very messy spn au fic idea
Dean tries to commit suicide in 2004 by jumping off of a bridge. Sammy's off at college, Dad hasn't contacted him in months, and at this point, he's too much of a mess to even hunt properly. But as he stands on the bridge, ready to just be done and jump off, he notices a baby carrier set by the railing. It’s not empty. Inside is a baby no older than 6 months old, and notecard with the name "Jack" written on it. Despite his...previous plans, Dean can’t just leave the baby there. Granted, he doesn’t trust the local police to take care of the kid, and he really, really doesn’t trust the foster system, but he has no other choice than to grit his teeth and take the baby to the police station.
The poor kid has no known parents, so Jack stays in the system. Dean winds up sticking around the local town to make sure the kid is being taken care of, and then he winds up fuming as the baby is stuck in an orphanage that barely takes care of him. After a couple of months, the baby is adopted, but to Dean’s disgust, the child is even more neglected and mistreated by the couple—who obviously were just rich assholes who wanted to look charitable. One night, while checking up on Jack, Dean has to sneak into their house just to give the poor kid a damn diaper change because the couple was too busy smooching in their fucking jacuzzi to hear the crying of the baby they left alone in their empty mansion of a house.
After that particular incident, Dean snaps. He buckles down and does whatever it takes to make himself presentable. Eventually, after about a year of hard work and worrying over Jack: having 3 jobs at once and barely sleeping, buying a decent house suitable for a child, getting sober, hanging up his Dad’s leather jacket for softer flannels, and doing his genuine best to be a decently sociably and helpful member of the community; he finally, finally decides that it's time to file for custody of Jack. He knows that he still won't not be considered the best candidate for adopting, and he certainly can’t afford some fancy lawyer like rich couple has, but he’s gotta do his best to not let this little guy suffer either by letting him stay in those assholes’ house without by resorting to kidnapping the poor kid and dragging him across the country to evade the cops.
In the end it’s disgustingly easy. The rich couple didn’t even try to go to court. They just gave Jack up like he was nothing. They had obviously grown tired of their charity-child and didn’t want to waste their precious money fighting for him.
Dean is actually granted custody. The small town's community had apparantly spoken greatly in his favor when the social workers asked around, and after the normal reviews, he's deemed fit for the role. When Dean holds Jack in his arms for the first time as the kid's adopted father, he can’t help but cry. In the span of just a year, this kid had wound up meaning the world to him, and he knows that from then on, he would do whatever it took to take care of Jack. They may have both been abandoned by their families, but they were going to be eachother’s family from now on.

s12 destiel from dean's perspective is explanation enough for why dean is sooooo insane after that season. like.
- first he almost kills himself for the greater good or whatever and has to come to terms with like. dying. on purpose. and then he is given the gift of life but before he can be like yay! i can go home! his mom is back from the dead??? and his brother is missing???
- then his mom leaves him bc she wants to figure out who she is and even tho he's like a 38 yo man it fucks w him a lot understandably.
-they get arrested and put in SOLITARY for a while and when they finally get out and meet cas again (at which point dean has once again come to terms with dying for the greater good but also mostly his mom and brother this time), he KILLS THE REAPER THEY MADE THE DEAL WITH AND GETS ALL EMOTIONAL??? after which he proceeds to fuck off bc he is Busy™ tracking lucifer etc.,
- then they get a lead and CAS ALMOST DIES IN FRONT OF HIS EYES and throws an I love you in his goodbye speech for the lolz. which. hahaha. anyway cas lives but turns out his mother — with whom he's trying to connect so badly so he can achieve full Normalcy — was like. lowkey responsible for his almost death. so they're fighting now.
- cas receives a divine voicemail from his close friend and colleague and then they go on that case with Lily sunder and ISHIM BEATS CAS UP AND THREATENS TO KILL HIM and even after they beat him Lily Sunder is like. I'm gonna go do some soul searching and if im in the mood I'll come back and KILL YOU. THREAT. and cas is like 😔 fair. so you know.
- there is also an instance of him losing his memories which is scary. and it's like. being intimately familiar with that experience is. something else. as a memory loss girlie let me tell you 👍🏽😄
- and then!!!!! lucifer's unborn child mind melds with his wifehusband — once more in front of his own two eyes — and "manipulates" him into running away with the pregnant lady instead of staying and Figuring Out A Solution. and when they finally do find cas, they are with them for all of 12 hours before HE DIES. FORREAL THIS TIME. AND LIKE THAT'S IT. NO COMING BACK FROM THAT ONE!
this is not an exhaustive list bc i don't remember everything but. like you know. he was primed to get worse and worse. all things that happen in s12 are out of his control but they are also things that happen in front of his eyes, and in ways that make him think that perhaps he did have control over them and he did fuck up some way and he *should* have done something to change the course of their lives so he's filled with guiltshame about it. and he decides that the solution to not losing anyone in the foreseeable future is to just. Control Every Possible Aspect Of Their Existence. which is impossible and that's why he gets mad all the time but YOU KNOW. YOU CAN SEE WHY HE'S CRAZY. poor s12 dean man.

In case you weren't excited enough for the second half of The Kingmaker Histories series two, we have officially locked in Jonny Sims for a future episode. It's an extremely funny script, and he has done a fantastic job with the material. We are very, very excited to share it with you in the new year.
In a stunning coincidence perhaps only matched by the sheer surreality of the Destiel canon/Georgia election flip debacle of 2020, during the call where Meg and Addison were reviewing the audio they both were made aware that Henry Kissinger was dead.
And if you, dear dash scroller, didn't know that he was dead, now you do. You're welcome.

I need more fics framing The Rupture as something necessary for destiel—it hurt like a fucking bitch, sure, and it was a low blow for Dean to hit Cas exactly where he knows Cas hurt most (in being the problem or a burden), but also. Looking at it from Dean's perspective, it really did feel like a move that old, early-seasons Cas would do; withheld information, acted on his own, took risks that could cost others.
And when it all piled up? From Jack's soulless behaviors directly killing Mary, to the deal with Belphegor in hell costing them Rowena. Again, hard agree that it was one of the most painful lines dropped in the show (especially so if you remember that this is post-Empty deal), but context guys, context.
Plus, I believe this separation wasn't only long-time coming but also a pretty important addition because what is destiel if not a pair of stubborn idiots who can't communicate. That's not to say an argument is necessary to talk (it can be, in certain situations, sure) but they've been on different pages since Cas came back in S13.
The center of their disagreement seemed to mostly lie in their belief in Jack. I can't remember a time they really sat down and smoothed things out so much as they avoided talking about what happened during the Widower arc altogether, and that's when the wound really began to fester. (It didn't help that they had to deal with so many problems all at once; the Brits, Asmodeus, Apocalypse World, Lucifer, then AU Michael...)
Here is what we know that Cas believed (from the canon narrative): Jack formed a bond with Cas, even before he was born he somehow showed Cas a possible future; paradise. It's the same power, perhaps a protection mechanism with nephilim seeing as God labeled them as Abominations, that turned Kelly as well. What we know Cas saw (from the deleted scene/script): Cas' paradise consisted of everyone he loved, his family, being safe. This included Sam, Kelly, and Dean on a beach, with more focus on Dean as he tells Cas, "thank you."
Tumblr media
From what we could see that Cas did not, Dean had enough resentment against Jack that wasn't going to magically go away overnight. Jack hadn't formed the same bond with Dean that he did with Cas.
Tumblr media
What happened before Jack was born: Heaven and Hell both sought out Jack for their respective goals, an innocent woman was going to die from the sheer magnitude of giving birth to a Nephilim, and Cas left by what Dean assumed was delusions and manipulations. What happened when Jack was born: Mary fell into a portal to a different universe—a rift that only opened due to the anomaly and power of Jack's existence—Kelly died, and Cas got stabbed right in front of him.
And this isn't to discredit Dean's love for Jack, when he did allow himself to love him or see him as family, but you can love someone and still resent them or feel bad about them. Moreso during extreme circumstances, however unfair or illogical it may be. Again, did they ever really talk? Maybe my memory is failing me but I'm pretty certain they didn't, or at least never in great detail, or came to an agreement about it.
Dean and Cas... just had so much dirty laundry and Rupture made sure they aired it all out. But I think we, as a society, would benefit greatly from not framing Dean as the big bad villain here or Cas as some poor innocent bean. Supernatural's theme was never about brotherhood or family, it's about how shit could have been so much easier if they just communicated.

Excerpt from Chapter 20 under the cut
Castiel POV During their escape from the Empty, communication with Dean had felt so easy, so natural. It had almost managed to make him forget about his deep-seated worry over a future where his feelings had been lain out in the open for Dean to see. For him to know the secret that Castiel had kept so closely guarded for years.
Over time, keeping that part of himself restrained had become second nature to him. It had been an immense relief to finally drop all caution. To put into words the truth that had been weighing him down for so long but that also filled him with purpose like nothing else in his existence had ever managed to do.
In that moment, saying it out loud had been incredibly freeing—if only because he'd died knowing that which he'd always taken for a dark, shameful secret to be hidden away would be able to save Dean's life in the end. He was aware what a double-edged sword the truth was, but at the time it hadn't mattered.
He'd taken that risk in the certainty that he'd never have to face the consequences. That he'd never have to see the rejection in Dean's eyes, because he knew fully well that sight would have the capacity to ruin him. All of that stopped mattering, though, the moment Dean was thrown into deadly peril yet another time. In the face of Chuck's wrath, Castiel hadn't dared to hope he'd find Dean alive.
Well, perhaps 'alive' wasn't an accurate reflection of their current reality either. But at the very least, Dean was in a state that was within Castiel's power to fix.
He placed one hand against Dean's cheek, the other over his shoulder. His own relief was too overwhelming to remember his temperance. Nothing mattered other than to mend, to fix, to heal. To restore the person who had taught him what it meant to care.

Ok, I’m still kinda on the fence about believing Cas/misha coming back (god I want it soo bad!). What do you expect to happen on the Winchesters? Definitely Castiel coming back. Probably as a recurring character, like a Bobby figure, I’m guessing? Or as an ensemble cast member later on in season 2? Answer privately if you’re more comfortable. Thanks.
We're not talking about "Cas as a recurring party member" in the Winchesters.
We're talking about cas as the pot of gold at the end of the road, and various leads along the way to let us know that reunion is happening.
I only know as far as the goal of the first season/base show premise/cause/reason to be made. When it comes to season extensions and the like, I don't know, and I don't know where the accordion fold is going to hit us if we get extended.
But The Winchesters is never going to just be Dean and Cas wandering around doing Dean and Cas things. Sorry. It's still going to centrally focus on the core characters, and then those characters are passed as morals for Dean's story.
We're talking about Dean adding up ALL THE LESSONS IN ALL THE WORLD from his parents and applying them to himself to find his peace and, in doing that, he finds a lot, lot more.
maybe way way down the line if we're overextended we'll get team free will kicking around in The Winchesters as Regular Party Members, but I truly doubt it, because there's no reason to beat this particular horse to death with another show only 3 years out.
so no, not a regular party member, that's not what cas is for here.
He's here to be Dean's happily ever after.
Dean's already learned, say you love them while you can because one day your spouse may walk out and not come back and the last thing you guys had was a fight. He's already listened, to learn from parents, but make your own way. Of the need for family, and friends, and to let go of the past, and not be afraid of a new self and the future. And this pattern is going to keep leading him, and I'm going to let you part together how Castiel falls into this: in a Supernatural Love Story about A Bond that saved The Whole World. And why, exactly why, this is so important, before Dean finds his peace.
whether antis OR wounded shippers want to believe it you're watching Destiel: The Unpackening: The Series right now.
For extensions, the best I have *gathered* is that we're going to start getting the other POVs after, progressing more as the series goes on so mostly after 13. Hence the anthology implication. So once Dean gets his resolution, perhaps we can get Sam and Cas narrations and histories too.

Suptober 23 Oct.: Sleepless nights
It took Sam a while, in this space of tentative normalcy, to notice Dean wasn't sleeping well. Perhaps he should've expected it. Cas being alive again and Jack coming home couldn't cure everything.
deancas, post-Tombstone au in the Sam Is An Idiot About Destiel subgenre
In the end, Jack was gone just over a day. When he popped (flew?) back into the bunker, he looked younger and sadder; he even seemed thinner, frailer, more like the kid he actually was.
Jack sagged into Cas's arms and Sam took the first deep breath he'd taken in hours. Or possibly weeks – all of the weeks since Jack's birth. Out of the corner of his eye, Sam saw Dean inhale like he'd been punched and then bend a little at the waist. It heartened Sam to realize Dean was glad, or at least relieved, Jack had returned.
Sam liked to think it wasn't just because Dean was worried Jack would hurt someone else. Sam knew his own relief wasn't uncomplicated. He still believed Jack could help them with their mom. But seeing Jack again put a point on something that had only been a formless feeling before: he was Sam's family, just like Cas was.
"Are you guys eating pizza?" Jack asked, still clinging to Cas.
Cas looked over Jack's head at Dean; some moment of commiseration passed between them.
Dean said, "Yeah, buddy. There's a couple of pieces left I could heat up in the oven."
Jack nodded and pulled away from Cas. "Thank you." He smiled a watery smile at each of them in turn.
In some ways, it was such an underwhelming way to start again, Sam thought; it didn't change the past, nor make the future less murky. He found himself smiling back anyway.
-
Three weeks later, bunker routines had been organized for the first time in… Hmm. Forever. The research into rescuing Mary was coming painfully slowly while a lack of monsters, save the ones lurking as decorations all over town, gave everyone time to settle.
To tire himself out, Sam recommitted to daily exercise, the kind that didn't require a sawed off shotgun or a demon blade as equipment. It felt useful to pound the wet pavement in the damp air, a chill keeping him from sweating to death. The scenery was much improved this time of year; after a too hot summer, autumn burst at the seams with color. The bunker's closest neighbor, an elderly couple who were always sitting on their wrap-around front porch with steaming cups of tea, waved hello every time Sam passed. In the middle of their lawn, a plastic skeleton was trying to claw its way out from beneath a styrofoam tombstone that read, I told you I was sick.
Sam waved and kept jogging.
By the time he was home most days, Dean had made enough food for seventeen people, Cas was washing pans in the sink, and Jack's eyes were almost red from studying everything he could get his hands on: textbooks, websites, folios and omnibuses from various nooks and file cabinets the Men of Letters had left behind. Otherwise, Jack seemed healthier. Cas seemed fine despite having been dead recently. The bunker team would collectively clear enough space off of the library tables for a big meal that almost entirely undid any benefit Sam received from burning hundreds of calories outdoors.
Oh well. Dean really did make a great meatloaf.
It took Sam a while, in this space of tentative normalcy, to notice Dean wasn't sleeping well. Perhaps he should've expected it. Cas being alive again and Jack coming home couldn't cure everything. Dean had survived a hard life on little sleep and a lot of caffeine and/or alcohol over the years. Sam knew he was used to it and wished he didn't have to be.
Sam's sleep? To be honest, almost every hour of rest he managed to achieve was measured against the Lucifer-psychosis incident years ago. If he wasn't hallucinating the devil literally singing off key in the same room, Sam was good. He treasured truly restorative sleep and tried not to fret himself into making occasional bouts of insomnia worse.
A few nights after Jack returned, Sam woke at 3 a.m. with a serious need to pee. During his short sprint back from the bathroom, he paused at Dean's door. He'd heard Dean make a short, sharp noise. Sam should've knocked, but Dean slept with so many weapons. Bad dreams weren't rare, unfortunately.
Sam decided to hope for the best: that whatever horrors Dean fought, he'd win, or outrun; that a deeper sleep would claim him and let him heal.
A few mornings later, however, Dean was showing signs of losing to the nightmares. He had dark circles under his eyes, an inside-out t-shirt, and hair that looked like he'd slept both upside down and on the floor. He clutched his coffee cup like he would bite anyone who so much as looked at it. For that matter, the coffee he'd made was like sludge – double-bagged and black as tar.
Jack gave Sam a look at the kitchen table and Sam gave him a sympathetic one. Cas walked in minutes later and didn't seem to mind the coffee.
A couple of early mornings after that, Sam rolled over in bed and poked himself in the eye with the corner of a book about magical uses for bat parts (powered dried wings held the most promise). He decided to put the volume all the way back in the library, since he'd taken all the notes he wanted; also, there was cold pizza in the fridge calling his name.
Jack sat in one of the cozier library chairs, all bundled up in a blanket and watching something on his tablet with a laugh track.
"Where's Cas?" Sam asked after inhaling half a slice of pepperoni. Cas and Jack spent a lot of overnight hours together.
"Oh, he went to bed," Jack said. "Have you seen this show with the little kids being sent on tasks for the first time? It's cute. These children are very brave."
They talked about the show for a few minutes. Sam agreed it sounded cute. He finished his snack and forgot about Cas going to bed. There was no real reason an angel couldn't go to sleep, anyway, if he wanted to.
-
The next evening, Dean corralled everyone into the makeshift den he'd assembled in one of the emptied-out archival rooms for a movie marathon. Halloween classics, he called them. The whole room smelled like popcorn and pleather. Sam rolled his eyes but took his seat on one end of the broken-in couch Dean had taken off a curb.
"Whatta ya think," Dean said. "Do we watch Fields of Threshing 3 first, or Decapitation Alley?"
"What happens in Fields of Threshing 1 and 2?" Cas said.
Dean clapped his hands like one of those toy monkeys with cymbals. "I'm delighted you asked. So many people die at harvest time in a town full of homicidal farmers!" He held up the DVD case to show off the cover art featuring a couple of busty lasses screaming in a cornfield while covered in blood. "But there are still many residents left who could be killed in the third part."
Sam groaned and ate more popcorn. By the time Decapitation Alley rolled around, he had to admit he was being entertained. The rabid leprechaun on screen had an admirable head severing technique. Sam wondered if they could use smaller machetes on vamps to similar results.
He was about to ask if anyone else was pondering the same when he discovered Jack was snoring from his spot on a big floor pillow, and Cas and Dean were not in the room. Sam thought fleetingly that it would be polite of him to stop the movie until they got back, but the hot district attorney/leprechaun hunter started flirting with the rugged forester who'd helped her escape the last attack and he wanted to see what would happen next.
He too fell asleep probably not even a half hour after that. Something about the film's soundtrack of lilting synthesizer music was exceptionally soothing.
-
In the morning, he staggered into the kitchen a solid hour past his usual breakfast shift, a crick in his neck from snoozing on the couch, and discovered Dean buttering toast and looking downright bright eyed and bushy tailed.
"You must have slept better last night," Sam said.
"I did," Dean said, cheerfully chewing his toast like a chipmunk. He swallowed and took a big drink of coffee. Then paused. "What do you mean better?"
"Just, seems like you've been having some rough nights, is all," Sam said with sympathy.
Dean's eyebrows drew together like he was confused. He shook his head and ate more toast. Cas wandered in and sat down beside Dean at the table. Dean bumped his shoulder against Cas's and both of them grinned at each other a little bashfully. Sam smiled into his bowl of cereal. He was happy his brother had such a good friend and was finally sleeping well.
It turned out to be a lovely October day. Dean even went to bed early, Sam noticed.
Good for him, Sam thought, and went back to reading about poisonous spiders and the helpful spells you could conjure with them.

AUs
I’ve read some reactions to The Winchesters that people were disappointed that it turned out to be an AU, and they felt that this story had no real stakes or impact on the main spn universe as a result. Of course, people can have whatever emotional reactions to a text that they want, but I think dismissing AUs as completely irrelevant is a misreading and a refusal to engage in symbolism and thematic developments. AUs are mirrors and windows; they present reflections of and provide new insights into the characters’ own universe. In spnwin, that character is obviously Dean: he’s our narrator, he’s the one entering this AU, he’s the one seeing aspects of himself and his significant relationships reflected back to him as the story unfolds.
The purpose of an AU is to change the character’s perspective; this is the case within the original spn universe: “The End” (5.04), for instance, is a warning to Dean that he can’t escape his role in the Apocalypse, that his refusal to engage will just result in more pain but ultimately, the same showdown that he’s hurtling towards right now. On another level, though, “The End” is about Dean’s relationship anxieties; he sees a future version of himself who is ruthless and cold, whose core relationships are either entirely severed (in the case of Sam) or fraught with unspoken pain (with Cas). In the beginning of s5, Dean’s tensions with Sam are obvious; he’s just discovered that Sam has been drinking demon blood and he’s in a relationship with a demon, Sam’s insisting that this is just a means to an end to be strong enough to defeat Lilith, but that plan ends up kickstarting the entire Apocalypse, etc. etc. So it’s clear why “The End” is reflecting Dean’s worst fears about what Sam could be capable of (embracing his role as Lucifer’s vessel). But it’s also fascinating what “The End” reveals about Dean’s relationship with Cas, and perhaps some insight into Dean’s worries about what might come of this unexpected, intense connection they’ve forged since Cas lifted him out of hell. The tension between Endverse Dean and mostly-human Endverse Cas is palpable; you get the sense that some deep wounds have been wrought by both of them, and their flaws have been magnified: Cas’s doubts have devolved into nihilism, Dean’s desperation to resist and survive no matter what has hardened him into someone brutal and terribly alone. So much is contained in Cas’s “of course” response: you’ve hurt me, I’ve hurt you, we’re broken, we’re doomed, there’s no way this will help, but no matter, I’ll go with you, of course. But there’s bitterness here too; while they’re here together at the end of the world, they’re out of step with each other. Something has broken between them that they can’t get back; Endverse Cas says it aloud, “what? I love like past you.” He can’t quite love what this Dean has become; something quietly devastating in that.
“The End” is also crucial in developing the themes of free will and autonomy, of course. It lays out all of Dean’s fears: that his choices don’t matter, that there are no other options despite the illusion of escape they provide, but ultimately, his fate is sealed.
(I think that point is important to keep in mind with The Winchesters as well; there are a lot of ways that this AU could still result in Mary burning on the ceiling and John becoming consumed with vengeance.)
So the AU 1972 that Dean stumbles upon has broadcast to us pretty loud and clear what impact this is having on original universe Dean: he’s our narrator, our point of view character. This is Dean processing his own inter-generational trauma, his own past, his own regrets, his desires for a different life free of all the burdens that were foisted upon him. And so all those Destiel parallels... those are not Easter eggs just there for the audience. This is an indication of how Dean is interpreting these events; that’s the entire point of an AU, is to have the in-universe character gain a new perspective on their own life, their current situation. Dean’s current situation becomes clear in the finale: he’s in heaven, and he doesn’t want to be. He’s awfully quick to offer his own exile when Jack reprimands him. He seems to have gone looking for a way out before he found out about the Akrida. The entire episode, he looks sad, heartbroken. Jack notes that he’s not at peace (and essentially commands him to make his peace now). If this was a successful mission, if Dean’s main purpose was to defeat the Akrida and help his AU parents heal and form a more stable foundation to their relationship, wouldn’t he be satisfied? But he clearly isn’t. He has his own motives that he isn’t willing to divulge yet, but read how this AU unfolds, what details Dean is paying attention to (which ones are reflections of himself), and you can follow the clues. This isn’t just subtext; it’s the roadmap.

Hey I saw your post in the beefleaf tag about why you don’t ship beefleaf and I’d just like to say that even though I find your argument interesting … perhaps you can keep entire paragraphs about not shipping beefleaf out of the tag meant for shippers of beefleaf. It’s sort of impolite and I’m sure many shippers were upset by you tagging it that way and then saying “don’t like don’t read.” Yes they can avoid reading it but something against the ship just doesn’t belong in the tag. Hope this doesn’t seem too aggressive - I wasn’t sure if you knew the usual protocol for this sort of thing and I’m not good with words.
I already answered why I won't remove the tag here.
And again, I'D RATHER HAVE YOU BLOCK ME THAN REMOVE MY TAGS if you think that my post is an eye-shore to you.
Thank you for respecting my opinion but you're more disappointing than previous anon (who agreed to just block me) because I already give major warning in CAPSLOCK and bold for those of you who can't handle criticism for your favorite ship (Yeah, I think I have to add more "to block me" because of this).
Yes they can avoid reading it but something against the ship just doesn’t belong in the tag.
It still belongs to the tag because it’s about beefleaf. It’s not even an anti-post because it’s not all negative about them.
If you think the tag is exclusive for 'favorite things' or 'shipping' for liking, you need to learn more about tumblr in general.
I need the tag to sort my archive, it's more important than to satisfy you which you can handle it yourself by just hit (...) then block and...
Tumblr media
...your dashboard page is clean again from negative posts about beefleaf.
I’ve been in tumblr for a decade and as long as I know ‘the tag’ is not equal with ‘the fanclub’, it’s equal to ‘related topic’.
And tumblr will always be like this.
Unless the feature of creating exclusive group/fanclub can be realized.
Sorry for eventually dragging other fandom, but even ‘Final Fantasy 7′ with massive ship-wars handle this better, tag like #cloti or #clerith are not exclusively for what's good for them, even valid criticism often uses these tags.
I never experienced anything like this when I was criticizing #cloti, and over the time I actually grew to see the good side of said pairing.
The FF7 fans maybe just brushed it off or block the haters in silent idk, because I still can see the variety of the contents using those tags.
Or these #destiel posts: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 that should’ve offended destiehellers in ‘Supernatural’ fandom.
And with this much fandoms I’ve never experienced this tag-keeping before.
You need to realize that there must be a moment when someone doesn’t like what you like.
Do you think I’ve never experienced it? Many times I’ve accidentally found things that I love got severely criticized by others.
You may hate to see dust on your table, but you can’t just expect dust to never get on your table, you need to clean it by yourself.
You may hate to see a post you don’t like, but you can’t just expect people to stop posting it, you need to filter it by yourself.
If you really need a special space that contains only positive things you like, you need to figure out which platform that is suitable for that.
Tumblr is not a fanclub, it only provides you feature to block posts you don’t like.
Go make fanclub/livejournal/group/subreddit etc dedicated for beefleaf, anything that you have the right to moderate. Trust me, you won’t find me there to badmouthing them because I know my place.
Now, you add another reason why I dislike beefleaf.
I won't respond post like this again in the future.
Or probably stop writing TGCF related all together and leaving the fandom.
Thanks for being polite at least, but I still stand in my stance. At least you won’t find me writing about beefleaf or anything that doesn’t conform your expectation anymore.

SPN Season 16 brainrot!!!
I saw a video on how j2 were talking about a season 16. Now, this isn’t confirmed or anything, but I was just overthinking the entire idea of a new season and many of the plot holes that would follow, and so now I’m simply writing some of them down, so yeah. (p.s sry about grammar)
1. Mentions of “one final case” and going back to earth, but then again - earth must be in year 2050-60 something, since Sam grew old. So, if the boys were to go back down to earth they would be in a completely different time, and how the hell would that look and work?? Are they gonna be hanging out with Dean Jr.? Are all of the people that they knew gonna be dead? Will the wayward sisters be in their 50/60′s?? the fuck??
2. Personally, i am a destiel kinda gal soooo, I would be very concerned as to how the husbands are gonna be around eachother. Like?? Are they gonna completely ignore it or just brush it off like it was no biggie, because that would call for a fucking jail sentence in my book. If they have the opportunity to do progressive and flourishing (and i bet they could have that opportunity), then I totally think that they should explore that deeper ;) COUGH COUGH (sry)
3. Also, what would the major consequence be to their hunt or case, whatever this case may be about, what is the urgency? What is the problem? they have THE GOD on their team. Hell, god is their fucking child. I bet that Jack could fix literally any issue by smiling, like come on dude. They seem like they are pretty overpowered.
+ They can’t really die from this hunt because they’re already dead, and if they do - they know where they are going, so what is the dramatic factor there??
I also have my own take on a possible route that the possible or not possible season could take, that might just make a little more sense? I think.
I’m thinking that maybe it would be more fitting for the show to focus on another realm, since they explored that for a while before the finale.
So, perhaps focusing on something that has to do with Hell, Purgatory, Heaven’s renovations, Apocalypse world, ENDVERSE??? or a different reality that was left to rot by Chuck. There must be thousands of those that they could help Jack rebuild or something.
But they could also shine a light on The Empty and how The Empty had to succumb to Jack’s control over everything, and how Cas was yanked from that hole no questions asked. They could bring up how Death is able to kill or rather reap God, so, Billie would possibly be strong enough to reap Jack if the opportunity came up. And now, what if Billie was still alive in the empty realm and hungry for revenge? Imagine if Billie and The Empty got together to form a plan to consume all of reality, and since the boys have been breaking a lot of the cosmic rules - how are they not to do so as well?
Imagine The Empty waking up all of the angel and demons, or maybe just certain ones that can help them in their plan - Lucifer, Michael, Crowley, Abbadon - all of the most powerfull of the archangels and knights of hell and demons. And then The Empty corrupts them to follow their orders or promises them freedom if they comply to their orders?
Now, I know that The Empty likes sleep and needs sleep, and that Billie doesn’t want to disrupt the cosmic balance but rather just have control over the entirety of it. And also execute all of the people that slipped past the hands of death.
Maybe I’m completely out of line here, and maybe I’m not.. Anyway, thanks for reading and feel free to add you own ideas or worries about the future of spn:))

Finally did it. Been on this journey of bingeing Supernatural for several weeks now. Started because fans were requesting some alternate "what ifs" and now its time to get writing. That said, I don't know if I'll be able to follow through with the Destiel teaser angle considering how little this series focuses on fulfillment. Largely because the monsters never go away. The threat of peace never goes away. In the end, they settle for a complacency that feels balanced. Perhaps to hand the reigns to the new Dean Winchester. Almost feels wrong to use Crowley in my writing at this point after his sacrifice, lol. Feel like I could have done without large chunks of a few seasons, but it was wrapped up nicely, and I wouldn't mind chasing the idea of what's in store for the future of the Men of Letters.

I know it is popular right now reblog destiel jokes, but I wish you wouldn’t. The episode went a long way in normalizing that gay love doesn’t have to be mutually reciprocated, and that heterosexual men can be allies and accept that other men have feelings for them. These jokes are likely going to push away heterosexual male allies, and make them less likely to include gay representation in the future.
Since when was I reblogging Destiel content? Perhaps you’ve confused me with someone else!!

I finally figured out why it feels like Supernatural murdered a unicorn (AKA why you need to STOP telling me to watch Black Sails)
I’ll start by saying, everything everyone else has been saying CERTAINLY bothers me:
- the queer-baiting - the bury your queers - the undermining of Dean’s character arc  - the wasted opportunity for a certain kind of overall narrative closure - the flat out disrespect to Misha Collins and Jensen Ackles
All of that bothers me tremendously.
But there has been something else rather ineffable about this that has left a horrible taste in my mouth that I couldn’t quite pin down until last night. Bear with me, if you will, because this will require some set-up.
*** This is not the first show to ever disappoint me in a spectacular fashion, nor will it be the last, I suspect. And one of the ways I’ve always coped with that disappointment was to remind myself that there will be other stories, other characters, other chances to get it right. (”It” being any number of things from just pure narrative emotional coherence to not burying your queers to not stringing along your queer audience and then yelling fuck you to them on the way out)
But somehow that assurance -- that there will be other stories, other characters, other chances to get it right -- has rung particularly hollow in this instance, and I couldn’t quite put my finger on why until yesterday.
I kept asking myself, why do I still have this feeling, deep in the pit of my stomach, like something was lost here that can never be recovered?
Because something was lost here that I am doubtful can ever be recovered, and I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else talking about this aspect of it at all.
***
A few months ago, TV critic Maureen Ryan did a great interview piece with Mike Schur (of Parks & Rec/The Good Place) discussing the death of long-form TV in the streaming era. They explore how the longer seasons and longer runs of traditional broadcast/cable TV provided an opportunity to tell particular kinds of stories that you simply can’t when seasons are 8-10 episodes and series typically run 2-4 seasons (thanks Netflix).
One key thing we’ve all lost in this new era of highly condensed TV storytelling (and of prestige TV narrative styles)? The traditional (several season’s long) slow-burn/will-they-won’t-they romance. Not only is there simply no longer the time or space to write such romances, it has also come to be seen as hacky, manipulative, cheap, artistically impoverished, low-brow, a embarrassing vestige of the era before TV became art™.
Everybody is trying to be Fleabag now. No one wants to be Frasier. (”It’s really more like a 10 hour movie” they all like to brag)
Obviously TV still has romances, even ‘drawn out’ romances. But ‘drawn out’ in 2020 is like 2-3 seasons, maybe. More commonly it’s like half a season. Take Schitt’s Creek. The number of episodes between when David and Patrick first meet and when they first kiss? Seven. Seven episodes. Half a season. If you watched it live, it took less than 2 months for them to move from introducing that dynamic to consummating it. And I’m not bagging on Schitt’s Creek; I think the David/Patrick’s story is very lovely and well-written.
But Niles & Daphne (Fraiser) had to wait 7 years and over 150 episodes before they finally got there. Josh & Donna (The West Wing) had to wait 6+ years, and 145 episodes. Mulder & Scully (The X-Files) had to wait 7 seasons and 143 episodes. Booth & Bones had to wait...you see where I am going with this.
And my point is (and I can’t believe I never realized this explicitly until now): there has NEVER been a queer slow-burn/will-they-won’t-they romance of that type on TV ever. EVER.
I’m going to say that again, because I think it bares repeating:
There has never been a queer, slow-burn/will-they-won’t-they romance that fits the 100-150 episode paradigm of delayed gratification on TV.
Not ever.
I can’t think of ONE example  Not a single, solitary one. And I know queer TV pretty well. Arguably the closest we’ve ever come is Legend of Korra, and that ran 50 episodes, a THIRD of the length of old school will-they-won’t-theys like Booth & Bones or Josh & Donna.
Queer people have had a fair number of canonical romances on TV by now, even fairly long running ones. But we never got a primary/front-and-center romance that you had to root for for 100+ episodes before you got any kind of canonical consummation.
That is a particular kind of TV experience that queer people and queer characters were just 100% shut out of until it was too late. And because of how the TV landscape has changed in the last 10 years, I don’t know that that opportunity will ever come back around in our lifetimes.
***
Dean and Castiel are/were a legacy of an earlier era of TV, an era that still contained the possibility for a will-they-won’t-they of that particular mold. There were other shows that could have also filled this gap at one time - Rizzoli & Isles, OUAT, House MD, etc. But one by one all of them were killed off, their queer romances unrequited, until Supernatural was the only one of its’ generation left standing.
And they should have acknowledged that they were a species about to become extinct.
There are plenty of other valid and compelling reasons Supernatural should have gone full Destiel, don’t get me wrong.
A) It would have been the most emotionally satisfying ending to the series and to those characters (and that would have been reason enough).
B) It would have stopped the manipulative queer-baiting of the (disproportionately queer) fanbase (and that would have been reason enough).
C) It would have been queer representation of middle-aged men, of bi men, of queers who came to their queerness later in life (and any/all of those would have been reason enough).
D) It could have been a glorious subversion of the bury your queers trope, considering how often they’ve died and been resurrected (and that would have been reason enough).
But point E) on this list is the reason this one hurts in a singular way that no one even appears to be acknowledging.
Almost all of the other wrongs and missed opportunities contained in this Supernatural debacle have the possibility of being rectified (at least to a degree) elsewhere. I can and I likely will get more bi male characters from TV as time goes on. I can and likely will get more middle-aged queer characters. I can and likely will get more queer characters coming to their queerness later in life, and starting queer romances later in life. I can and likely will get more queer characters who aren’t killed cheaply and prematurely. I can and likely will get more genre TV shows with sprawling myth arc plots that are resolved in a coherent, satisfying way. I can and likely will get Misha Collins and Jensen Ackles involved in other projects that value their work and their talents.
All of those other things are at the very least POSSIBLE, and many are even likely.
But a queer 100-150 episode slow-burn romance a la Mulder & Scully or Niles & Daphne or Booth & Bones? That is the one baton Supernatural dropped spectacularly that no one else even has the possibility of picking up again for the foreseeable future. (They don’t even write those types of romances for heterosexuals anymore!)
Seriously. It was a TV unicorn. And rather than letting it run wild and free, they stabbed it with a rusty nail.
***
Given the monumental shifts in the TV landscape that have occurred in the last decade, I don’t know that TV will ever go back to the slow-burn/will-they-won’t-they romance spanning 100-150 episodes. Today it is a miracle if you can get ANY show to last longer than 50 episodes in the first place.
And that is the piece of this that makes it feel (to me) like they murdered a unicorn.
Because queer people have gotten a lot of things from TV, and they will get a lot more as time goes on. But that one? That one could very well be a totally extinct species.
That is the larger missed opportunity here that has left this feeling especially hollow and destructive. That is the thing that makes me balk when people tell me to go watch Black Sails or Pose or whatever other prestige TV show is doing this representation ‘better.’ Because that’s not really the loss I am mourning here. I KNOW there is ‘better’ representation elsewhere.
But the will-they-won’t-they/slow-burn romance is a qualitatively unique thing that queer people literally just never got. Ever. There is no substitute, no alternate, no other show I can turn to with that kind of build-up and pay-off for a queer couple, and there probably won’t be in my lifetime. Not unless the TV industry undergoes another monumental evolution similar to the streaming revolution that shifts the incentives back to telling those types of stories again.
All those shows you want me to displace Supernatural with? None of them can give me the one thing I uniquely wanted (and could have gotten) from Supernatural. THAT ALTERNATE SHOW DOESN’T EXIST. It doesn’t exist. And I have no reason to hope it will ever exist in my lifetime.
So stop telling me to look somewhere else; you don’t understand what made this one a unicorn.
***
Addendum: The only other possible show that could perhaps fill this gap is It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (re: Mac/Dennis). But I’m hesitant to say it exactly meets that criteria, for a number of reasons:
1 - It’s far less serialized relative to Supernatural and (except for a handful of stand-alone episodes) very little of the story is grounded specifically in Dennis/Mac’s romantic dynamic (unlike SPN, where it is absolutely central to much of the narrative)
2 - IASIP is fundamentally satirically in nature/tone which makes it much harder to have genuine romantic pathos (not impossible, but harder)
3 - All the characters on IASIP are fundamentally crummy people who you aren’t exactly supposed to root for. Which doesn’t mean a romance between two of them can’t have its value/charm/worth but it’s not the same as when it is between characters who unequivocally deserve nice things/happy endings

Lets talk about the Bare Minimum
Okay guys, obviously there is a huge divide here among those of us that are super positive and excited and those of you that are really doubtful the finale will give us anything remotely worthwhile. So lets break this down okay? Perhaps it can get us all on a fairly level playing field?
What is the absolute bare minimum the Supernatural Finale can give us to satisfy us?
Everyone will have different ideas of course, but if we dismiss all our wildest dreams and high expectations and consider the fact that yes, this is still Supernatural and they do tend to run on a mix of batshit crazy, profound and poetic beauty, and things seemingly falling into place so perfectly it was clearly 100% accidental (eg: The Monster at the End of this Book) then we should probably try to find a centre point. A point that we can use to gauge how the episode will fair overall.
So what is the bare minimum?
Castiel returns
This is it. This should be the bare minimum we should expect in order to make this finale meaningful.
If we are given nothing else, Cas returning should be enough for us to nod and say “okay Supernatural. You tried. You got him back. He was there for the finale. That’s the main thing.”
If Castiel isn’t back and the finale is just Sam and Dean driving around looking for generic MOTW hunts like in Season 1 in some sort of bronly wet dream, that would be a massive anticlimax and miserable way to end the series. It will be the worst ending of a show since GoT.
BUT we know Misha filmed 20. I will hear no more to the alternative. Misha filming 20 is and always has been a fundamental FACT.
So Castiel returns. Bare minimum met? Right? Of course there are caveats to that key point.
Castiel returning in flashback form only, or as a memory or dream, whilst the actual Castiel still remains in the Empty is NOT an acceptable option. If the show takes this route, this is still below the bare minimum. This would be deemed a failure in my opinion just as if the finale is just Sam and Dean being bros on the road.
What really needs to happen for the bare minimum to be met, is for Castiel to be rescued from the Empty. Whether that is by Jack, by Dean, or by himself or some other means, Castiel must return from the Empty to fix the only actual loose end not tied up in 15x19. We should also finally get the Empty being sent back to sleep, because having just binge watched episodes 12-18 all in one week, let me tell you, the amount of times it is repeated that the Empty desperately wants to go back to sleep is a LOT. From what I have been told, the Empty isn’t even mentioned in 19, so that is the only plot point actually still hanging over the series.
Of course, had Castiel not confessed his “homosexual feelings of love” for Dean in 15x18, then at this point I would have said that the bare minimum I needed was for Cas to be saved, and for Dean to give him a heartfelt hug and a look of love and to say “lets go home” off into a future where we know the story ends with Dean and Cas together in an ambiguous relationship. (Honestly, for a long time, this is the ending I thought we would get).
But Dabb and Bobo have written themselves into a very specific corner.
Castiel’s confession was not ambiguous. Because of this, the big question hanging over the final ever episode of the longest running genre show on TV, isn’t about whether the heroes will stop the big bad, it isn’t whether or not they will live or die, nope, it’s whether the lead male character will reciprocate romantic love for his “equally male” (Note - I’m talking in terms of mainstream here don’t @ me) best friend. The big question Supernatural has gone and put to its audience is “is Dean Winchester also in love with Castiel and therefore, is he also queer?”
This is an unpresedented situation that the show has put itself in.
Because of this, the bare minimum is no longer just Castiel being saved. It’s also Dean answering that question that the show has put to us.
Castiel must be saved, and the love confession must be addressed. These things are the key points going into this final episode. If either of them are glossed over in any way, the show would have fundamentally failed it’s audience, its characters, it’s cast, and everyone involved in it. Given how optimistic and happy everyone who works on the show seems to be currently, I highly doubt that is the case.
So. Castiel must be saved, and the confession must be addressed. Do we accept Dean rejecting Cas?
There is I suppose, a very slim chance that this could happen. If the Network let their own homophobia get to them (before you come @ me, no I don’t consider the CW’s many young attractive lesbian characters to let them off the hook for years of avoiding any non stereotypical queer men. IT’S TOTALLY DIFFERENT) then they may have greenlighted Cas’s queerness whilst refusing to do the same for Dean. They may consider simply saving Castiel and therefore #resurrectingyourgays as enough to satisfy the queer viewers, even though Castiel’s love was not returned. Perhaps in the final episode we will get a flashforward to years down the line and Cas has got over Dean and is living it up with another man? It’s possible right?
It would also cause utter outrage in the fanbase. Dabb and Bobo are far more savvy than fandom gives them credit for. I personally think that had the network said no to Dean reciprocating Castiel’s love, then Dabb and Bobo would have kept it ambiguous, and simply strongly implied that they end up together in an ending like the one I always thought we would get when my hopes for Destiel were at a low point.
So Dean reciprocating Castiel’s love also falls under the bare minimum requirements for the episode to be a success.
How they go about showing Dean reciprocating Cas’s feelings I don’t know. Do I absolutely need a kiss? No. It’s not a bare minimum requirement. Anything beyond Dean simply telling Cas he loves him back and Cas smiling at him is a bonus. Perhaps they could show it the way they showed Jesse and Cesar in 11x19. Through affection and care, but no actual kisses.
Whilst I personally believe we will get a kiss, it’s not a bare minimum, and if we don’t get one I will still be satisfied so long as we get all of the following:
Castiel is saved from the Empty
Dean reciprocates his love
Dean and Cas end up together (whether that be to live lives together on Earth, or both go out fighting and reunite in heaven together. Whatever the case, they must end up together)
My 3rd point here is the only other bare minimum requirement I need to not feel like they have screwed it up. I don’t care whether Dean and Cas end the show alive or dead. What I DO care is that regardless of where they end up, be it Earth, Heaven, or even Purgaytory, they are together. They must end the series together.
There are of course many other things I want. I want Cas to give up his grace (by choice) and become a human (I really wanna see him in Winchester plaid at least once!). I want to see them slow dancing like Garth and Bess did in 15x10. I want Sam to reunite with Eileen and also get a happy ending. I hope they get to keep the damn dog too. Ideally, I want a soft epilogue, because these boys are good people, and they’ve suffered enough. Whatever else may happen though, so long as those bare minimum requirements are met, I will consider the ending a resounding success.
Personally, I don’t think I’m asking for much.

request: If you don’t mind me asking, request for Loki asking the other Loki’s if they have a s/o in their timeline during episode 5?

YOU DON'T KNOW THE EFFECT PRESIDENT LOKI HAS ON ME. like it should be studied in labs and schools cos ??????? that feeling when he's on screen was just something else. also ! kid loki holding alligator loki my beloved <3. i'd love to be surrounded by lokis, me and loki actually have the same personality type so they're like... my people. sorry for the rant, hahah ! this one is a bit shorter than my other loki works, sorry about that :/ also it took me like 40 minutes to find decent gifs lmao. happy reading !! <3

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Weirded out by what he's seeing, and not entirely sure it's real, Loki can't take his eyes off it, either. The way alligator Loki drinks his boxed wine is just so fascinating to him, yet weird and other-wordly (he knows those well) at the same time. And he's weirded out more by the fact that he doesn't find a variant of him being an alligator strange in any way. He's had a few trying days, as he said himself.
Loki manages to divert his eyes off the creature with horns on its head and looks to the grapes he holds in his hand. He picks small dirt away from the berries and takes a grape into his mouth with ease. The taste reminds him of many things. His childhood, his home, his family... Thor, Frigga, Odin, Sif and the Warriors Three. Asgard. The Gardens, the waters, the Bifrost. Heimdall. Visits to the city, the markets, the celebrations.
Love.
Loki blinks, fooling himself and others by aiming to portray that he's not thinking about anything important. But he is. She was the most important thing to him, and now... Well, maybe during the New York heist, she's still fine, but after Ragnarok... Loki fears too much to think about it.
He wishes he could remember everything with her that followed New York, but all he has of their future is some worn-out tape in the TVA archives. Perhaps even pictures... He wants to live through all they had now, he wishes he could do that most of all. Of course, there's the finding Mobius and helping Sylvie burn down the TVA thing, but upon remembering her, it all falls into the background.
His first love. Not a god, like him, but she was a goddess in his eyes. He smiles now, subtly, at the fond memories of her. He noticed the little moments he had with her in the tape Mobius had, about his whole future. How beautiful she always was, her subtle way of laughing and going about her smiles and giggles, how exceptional and different her clothes always were, how her hair shined in any light...
“Did any of you...” Loki starts to say, and sighs shortly before continuing, thinking he'll probably regret asking it, “did any of you leave a... a lover behind when the TVA arrested you? Prince or princess?” He looks between his variants. Young Loki shoots him a stern look. “Apologies, my liege. You seem too young for that.” Loki bids him a polite smile, but his brain whirs. “How long have you been here, anyway?”
“Don't know. Time doesn't really... exist here.” Young Loki says and throws a salt biscuit into alligator Loki's jaws. “But no lovers in my lifetime, Loki.” He pointedly looks at the older variant of himself, nodding slightly.
“Not yet, at least.” Loki points out and gets scoffs and chuckles from Boastful and Classic Loki. He looks at them with a furrowed brow.
“Oh, you and your grand plan,” Classic Loki shakes his head before taking another sip from his huge cup. Loki only rolls his eyes, but still waits for answers to his question, “well,” Classic Loki downs his drink, “it would be no surprise to you that I had countless partners before I chose isolation. Partners of any kind.” He winks. Loki nods, understanding how much alike he truly is with his variants. “But I feel there is no one truly... truly made for me. Like midgardians would say - 'the one'.“
“In my case, there were many 'the ones',” Boastful Loki says, mocking Classic's use of words. All other Lokis roll their eyes, “I actually feel like every person in the whole universe was made to be with me. I'm just that irresistible.” He smiles pleasantly to himself. Alligator Loki growls again.
“That's another “liar” from him to you, Boast,” Classic Loki nods his head towards Boastful, who only shakes his head and frowns.
“I had my fair share of men and women before I was taken,” Boastful says, “must have been the same for you, Loki.” He looks at him. “Asgard was truly a giving place.”
Loki chuckles, but looks away from his variants. “Oh, it was...” he says quietly, “it was.” His voice grows even more quiet. Young and Classic Loki exchange a look.
“Do tell us, your mischievousness.” Classic Loki urges him. Loki shoots him a nervous look, then he leans back into the sofa and sighs, his eyes strictly focused on his hands.
“I had plenty before I met... one,” he starts to say, “me and her share a past, and, it seems, a future as well. After New York, I am taken to Asgard, imprisoned, but she is there. I fake my death and rule over Asgard as Odin, and she's there. I help Thor destroy our evil sister--”
“Oh, she was a nasty one.” Boastful says, shaking his head. “We used to have a connection, but then she just... I don't even know.” He shrugs. Loki eyes him for a second before continuing.
“We destroyed Asgard, but saved its people, and saved her. We make for Midgard, and she's there with me.” Loki sighs, his eyes gloomy. “And then... Thanos attacks, destroys half, if not all our people, and...” he can't even speak further. His variants share a look, each having quite the correct guess for what could follow after that. Boastful drinks from his cup in an awkward manner. “But I feel like that's another life I lived. Or another me. I don't know, I feel so... disconnected from her, from what we had. Must be the TVA and this... void. And all that's happened, all I've learned about my future.” He sighs again.
“Meeting her again would be a wake-up call, no?” Boastful asks. Loki shrugs, a sad expression on his face.
“Rather a sign that you're real.” Classic Loki says with a wide, true smile. Loki looks to him as if looking at a mentor. “I often felt like the people I loved and the love I had for them, even if it was not reciprocated, were a reminder that I am real, I exist and I can feel all these things.”
Loki considers his words, and then nods along, finding a truth in them.
“After all, love and all other emotions are the human part in all of us.” Classic says. “And it isn't always bad to feel like a regular human being.” Loki can also find truth in those words. Love makes one feel alive, makes you feel like you're on the right path, found the right person, found your purpose. It doesn't always have to be glorious, it can be small, but nonetheless important to you.
“I used to think humans smaller than us, more pathetic and puny, but...” Loki shakes his head, “we, gods, are just the same, really.” He chuckles sadly. “Having quarrels over the stupidest things, being as imperfect as humans... Sometimes I even felt like I was too good, too perfect for something like true love, which is a pathetic emotion that makes you feel all kinds of other feelings, but...” he smiles, “often times I felt like that, she told me everyone was deserving of love, even me.” His smile grows wider.
“She sounds lovely.” Classic Loki tells him with a kind smile.
“She was that, and more.” Loki nods along. Young Loki imitates the sound of a snore and throws a crumpled piece of paper at Loki's shoulder.
“You're making me extremely bored.” He announces and sits straighter in his chair, looking over the mess that is his palace. “Love's boring.” Young Loki throws a juice carton across the room, making a face.
“You are just too young to understand and know it, your majesty.” Boastful says with a wink, and the next juice carton is flying over his head with a snicker from Young Loki. Classic Loki keeps Boastful tight in his seat so an argument wouldn't arise, and Boastful hesitantly restrains, his drink almost spilling over his cup. Loki watches them with a sappy smile on his features, and decides this is a good place to spend eternity at, even without her.

The End Of The Beginning | @vampamber
Rating: Explicit Word Count: 3,885 Main Tags/Warnings: ABO, omega Dean, alpha Cas, endverse, endverse Cas, heat, pwp, S5E4 The End, there's a sequel Summary: He just wished that Zach-y boy had picked a better time. Dean could feel those deep seated aches in his abdomen that could only mean he was a day or so away from his damn heat starting. Hopefully he could learn his little lesson before he had to lock himself away for a few days to keep himself from presenting to every damn alpha in a five mile radius. He usually took suppressants, but dealing with Lucifer had kind of taken front seat just long enough for Dean to miss a few too many doses. “Damn it,” he muttered to himself as he rubbed at his wrists, finally free. He wandered out to see where the hell he was. It was an old summer camp, that much he could tell, but that was about it. But as weird as all this was, as unreal and impossible as it had to be, the most mind blowing part was definitely Cas. Fuzzy, stoned out of his gourd, sex guru to a gathering of betas and omegas Cas. Cas, who smelled so strongly of alpha and everything that Dean had ever wanted that he had to shift himself when the guy wasn't looking to try and hide the quickly growing erection in his pants, praying that he wouldn't slick right through his jeans.

Tick Tock Goes The Clock | @vampamber
Rating: Explicit Word Count: 5,784 Main Tags/Warnings: ABO, omega Dean, alpha Cas, human Cas, alcohol as a coping mechanism, implied mpreg, angst, porn with plot, drunken confessions, drunken sex Summary: It was a well known fact that every omega had a metaphorical biological clock ticking away inside of them, just waiting to spring the alarm and make the poor guy or girl go just a wee bit baby crazy. And as much as Dean Winchester tried to deny it, mostly to himself, the one inside him was gonna blow at any second. Even though Dean would never admit it to anybody, especially his brother, he had always felt pretty maternal towards Lisa's son, Ben. He’d always wanted a nice, big family with plenty of pups of his own, ever since he had presented as an omega as a teenager. At least, whenever John hadn't been pressuring him to act like the alpha his dad thought he should've been, that is. It had only gotten worse when Sam presented as a beta, so Dean had shoved that dream so far back in his mind that he completely forgot about it ninety-five percent of the time. That was exactly why the omega knew that his biological clock was gonna kick his ass any day now. Where he used to mostly forget about the idea of having a bunch of pups, it was now taking up the vast majority of his thoughts lately.

It was a green, one of the few gentle colours at the edges of his dreams and the one he tried to capture in his paintings, never quite finding the right hue. He spent so long chasing the colours, trying to find it though pills and needles, but they always evaded his grasp. Yet he found one, right here, hiding in the eyes of a stranger. He studied the colour, the subtle differences between dark and light, the little flecks of gold nearly hidden in the sea of green, the ring around the outside. He studied it, trying to commit the colour to memory. The other man cleared his throat. “Uh, dude?” Oh. Castiel forgot the colour was attached to a person. ~~~ What if Castiel had fallen before the start of the series and met Dean on a routine hunt? Set in the spring before Dean goes to find Sam in Stanford.
