New Supernatural take!

I want a Supernatural fic where we get Sam and Dean to compete against each other, why are they competing you ask? They are competing about who is the better partner.

Like imagine Dean asking Cas to marry him with a romantic dinner (hamburguers on cute bee plates) on a meadow under the moon, so Eileen makes a coment about it, nothing explicit just something of the lines of look how cute they are and Sam going like hell no, I am the cute one. So he decides to one up his already carefully planned proposal by making a reservation in Eileens favorite restaurant with her favorite meal and ordering one of every dessert. Eileen of course says yes and there is that

But then the four of them go to the county fair and Dean wins Cas a bee plushie and Sam rebutts by getting the highest price to Eileen (a big teddy bear) And things like that, Dean invites Cas to the movies, Sam invites Eileen to the theather, Dean and Cas go to a concert, Sam gets VIP tickets

Bonus points if Dean is completely oblivious of what is happening. Cas and Eileen know though, and they keep egging the brothers on, because they have a bet of when would Sam realize that Dean has no idea they are competing. So they both go about their days with Cas being like "Oh I heard there is a new penguin exhibition in the zoo, I love penguins" to Dean, and Dean being like guess we are going to the zoo. And of course Eileen goes to Sam, with Did you hear Dean adopted a penguin in the Name a penguin program? Isnt that wholesome? and Sam almost goes balistic and tries to ship a penguin to the Bunker as a surprise gift

Double bonus point if Dean catches on early, and decides to fuel the fire, without anyone else knowing

Very messy spn au fic idea

Dean tries to commit suicide in 2004 by jumping off of a bridge. Sammy's off at college, Dad hasn't contacted him in months, and at this point, he's too much of a mess to even hunt properly. But as he stands on the bridge, ready to just be done and jump off, he notices a baby carrier set by the railing. It’s not empty. Inside is a baby no older than 6 months old, and notecard with the name "Jack" written on it. Despite his...previous plans, Dean can’t just leave the baby there. Granted, he doesn’t trust the local police to take care of the kid, and he really, really doesn’t trust the foster system, but he has no other choice than to grit his teeth and take the baby to the police station.

The poor kid has no known parents, so Jack stays in the system. Dean winds up sticking around the local town to make sure the kid is being taken care of, and then he winds up fuming as the baby is stuck in an orphanage that barely takes care of him. After a couple of months, the baby is adopted, but to Dean’s disgust, the child is even more neglected and mistreated by the couple—who obviously were just rich assholes who wanted to look charitable. One night, while checking up on Jack, Dean has to sneak into their house just to give the poor kid a damn diaper change because the couple was too busy smooching in their fucking jacuzzi to hear the crying of the baby they left alone in their empty mansion of a house.

After that particular incident, Dean snaps. He buckles down and does whatever it takes to make himself presentable. Eventually, after about a year of hard work and worrying over Jack: having 3 jobs at once and barely sleeping, buying a decent house suitable for a child, getting sober, hanging up his Dad’s leather jacket for softer flannels, and doing his genuine best to be a decently sociably and helpful member of the community; he finally, finally decides that it's time to file for custody of Jack. He knows that he still won't not be considered the best candidate for adopting, and he certainly can’t afford some fancy lawyer like rich couple has, but he’s gotta do his best to not let this little guy suffer either by letting him stay in those assholes’ house without by resorting to kidnapping the poor kid and dragging him across the country to evade the cops.

In the end it’s disgustingly easy. The rich couple didn’t even try to go to court. They just gave Jack up like he was nothing. They had obviously grown tired of their charity-child and didn’t want to waste their precious money fighting for him.

Dean is actually granted custody. The small town's community had apparantly spoken greatly in his favor when the social workers asked around, and after the normal reviews, he's deemed fit for the role. When Dean holds Jack in his arms for the first time as the kid's adopted father, he can’t help but cry. In the span of just a year, this kid had wound up meaning the world to him, and he knows that from then on, he would do whatever it took to take care of Jack. They may have both been abandoned by their families, but they were going to be eachother’s family from now on.

Dean Winchester + Jesse Cuevas

So I’ve been a little obsessed with Jesse’s character lately even though he’s in literally one single episode of the show, and kinda want to write something where he and Dean meet when they’re younger (like Stanford era or earlier) and grow close. And it would sort of be an exploration of the importance of queer friendships and how they can exist in a space between/outside romantic and platonic.

Anyway, would anyone be interested in reading that as a fic or maybe a comic? Tbh I will probably write it anyway, but I’m curious if it would be of interest to anyone else lol

Mary-Centric Fic Idea?

Mary gets a call from Sam that leaves her worried. He told her everything was fine but something had happened to Dean and she needs to get to the bunker right away. When she pressed about what happened Sam assured her that everything was technically fine with Dean physically but it's just easier to explain in person. She gets to the bunker and cannot believe what she's looking. She sees Sam and Cas at the map table and Jack on the floor playing with a five-year old Dean. Dean runs to her because she's the only one he recognizes. Sam and Cas explain that while on this last case, Dean had accidentally been de-aged and they're looking into changing him back. Right now though Dean retains the memories he had when he was five years old. Dean is five and has been living with John and Sammy on the road for a while. He's old enough to comprehend that Mary is/was dead, but young enough that John hadn't explained to him monsters might try to trick him and would disguise themselves as Mary. When Dean sees his mom, he just thinks it's a miracle. Mary and Sam then have to deal with visual proof of Dean being forced to be a parent before he was ready. Sam of course has no memories of this time, but seeing the version of Dean who had to change his diapers is really getting to him. Same with Mary. Mary has to deal with her oldest asking her if he and Sammy have to continue living with Dad. He's mean and scary now. This version of Dean is still a kid who's softhearted and sensitive and caring and quiet when things get overwhelming. Mary hates knowing that the man she thought she could trust with her kids is someone she wishes she could've protected them from.

au where angels also have a little statue of themselves that they carry on themselves wherever they go and when they're tired or in danger they retreat into their little statue and in laz rise dean finds castiel's little statue and decides to take it with him because it's cute and he has no idea it contains an ancient entity and then keeps it on his shelf and even after castiel reveals himself he lets dean keep the little statue on the little shelf because he trusts dean with his little home

I feel like it's either extremely obvious that I've watched all 15 seasons of spn (11 of them as they were airing on tv) or somehow Not Obvious, despite the fact that I semi regularly reference it in one way or another.

god. anyway. sam. I will never recover from the poetic tragedy of sam. praying while being marked down as lucifer's vessel. the constant focus on wanting to be clean, the way free will versus pre-determination is in a constant state of narrative friction just by his character existing. the scope of horror in being damned and doomed before you were even born, by your own mother. wow. character of all time.

Physically restraining myself from writing a coda fic for Lebanon, where John stays over at the bunker, Cas comes home in the middle of the night & there's tension between him and Dean over whether or not they will still share a room, and then 27-year-old Mary has to sit through Thee most homophobic breakfast with her dead ex-husband, closeted son, and his common law married, ancient eldrich boyfriend.

Imagine Jason crawls out of his grave, traumatic brain injuries and all, and Bruce finds him soon after and takes him back home.

Enter Dick who finds out what happened to Jason. Feeling responsible, Dick goes to the crossroads late at night and makes a deal. He'll give up years of his life in exchange for Jason's full return to health. The deal is accepted, and Jason's health is restored.

Bruce is both thrilled and troubled over Jason's miraculous recovery. How did it happen? Why did it happen? When he brings it up to Dick, Dick shrugs it off, pretends he doesn't know what could have possibly caused it.

That is... until Jason starts worrying about it. He miraculously recovered, but what if one day he wakes up and loses his ability to function? What if he loses whatever brought him back and made him well again?

This worry of his is whispered to Dick on a rare night when they're both in Gotham. Dick can tell it's eating at him, and he feels bad about it, so he tells Jason not to worry. His health isn't going to regress to what it was.

"You can't know that for sure," Jason presses.

Dick's lips thin, and he looks pensive for a few moments. Silently contemplating.

He tells Jason once again not to worry. That he took care of it personally and knows for a fact Jason is gonna be just fine.

Of course Jason wants to know what the hell Dick is talking about.

"Let's just say the universe blessed me and leave it at that," Dick says.

"Dick, what did you do?" Jason demands.

Dick won't budge on the issue, so Jason takes the issue to Bruce, and once Bruce hears about Dick's involvement, a severe sense of dread bulldozes him into action. His tunnel vision is activated, and he's off. Off to confront Dick. Off to figure out what this wish is, and what the consequences of it are.

Dick's stubborn tongue is worn down, and the truth feels like chains of ice that snake around Bruce's heart and strangle it.

Dick will be dead by 40 if he isn't killed in the field before then, and Bruce can't reconcile that. His mind is a motor charged with thoughts and ideas, and he'll put every single one of them into action until he can fix this.

I'm such a sucker for fics from the pov of some NormalPerson™ who tries to understand what the actual fuck is going on with your fave. For example;

- Hermione's parents sort of got used to their daughter talking about dragons and curses and she makes it sound like its no big deal so they just go along with their strange kid. Except now there's a man at the door who says he's the minister of magic and he would like to personally invite you and your daughter to the first memorial of the final battle as she is a war hero of the highest order. What do you mean there was a war? Hermione, get down here this instant!

-Or a true crime podcast about the crimes of Sam and Dean Winchester through the eyes of someone who went to college with Sam. He hosts podcast nights and everytime one of Sams alleged kills is described he tells the friends who are listening with them about that time Sam went vegetarian for a month after watching a nature channel docu.

-Or Percy Jackson returns to a mortal high school after one of his adventures and one of his teachers has to try and decipher the transcripts from his old schools. How the fuck did this little skater boy blow up his last school? Why isn't he in prison??? Or dead??? The parent-teacher conference night that follows is one for the ages as Sally Jackson lies her ass off, but with skill.

-Or John Watson decides to go to a class reunion against better knowledge and Sherlock tags along to learn more about John out of boredom. His former classmates don't understand what the hell Sherlock Holmes is doing at their party if there hasn't been a murder and absolutely come to the conclusion that the two are together. They have to be, right?

Basically anything that puts these unhinged adventures and relationships into perspective I guess, sorry if these don't make sense,,, tag me if you know any fics of this sort! For any fandom! Or comment you own hc!!!

he's literally telling a spn episode with the adventures of sam and dean, but in the form of a fairy tale, and we see them performing the actions and speaking the words garth would use with the exaggerated style of a fairy tale it would be HILARIOUS

Once again thinking about dean with burn scars:

•He got them from shielding baby sam while fleeing the house fire

•The scars on his face extend in a crescent-like shape of patches from the top of his left ear to the bottom left of his jaw and extend mid-way down his neck.

•He has a roughness to his voice due to the damage to his throat and speaks less than canon due to pain from extended speaking and self-consciousness.

•Both his eyes are undamaged, seeing as the burns missed his eye

•His left ear's hearing, however, was permanently impaired because of the burn damage

•He has extensive scarring on his back

•His left arm, though somewhat scarred, was relatively undamaged, but his left shoulder still gives him trouble sometimes

•Sam, to Dean's dismay, feels guilty about the scars and does whatever he can to help Dean when they give him trouble

•Dean developed an intense fear of fire due to them, which means on salt and burns, he does the digging, and Sam does the burning once Dean is safely back at the car. John once tried to "cure" Dean of his phobia, but gave up after Dean wound up having a panic attack so bad he passed out and didn't talk to anyone for weeks after.

•Dean is still viewed as attractive to most people due to the relatively minimal facial scarring, but he is extremely self-conscious of them, particularly his back scars because of their severity. He rarely takes his shirt off in front of people and prefers the light being off when he is intimate with a partner.

•Cas is not able to heal the scars when reviving or otherwise healing Dean. They later find out this is due to Chuck's interference

I think spn fic writers are sleeping on writing time travel fics to the 40s-50s when American Men of Letters were still alive, and exploring Sam and Dean's relationship with Henry, and even meeting Henry's father, and MOL being shocked by the future and by the boys' behavior like Henry was when he traveled to the future, and Sam and Dean hating MOL because of their strict hierarchy and like restricted access to the knowledge depending on your rank, which will INFURIATE Sam... So many unexplored possibilities... Someone write a fic I'm beggin'

I'm such a big fan of immortal cas endgame but he's not an angel, not fully, not the way he was when he came to earth, the righteous man his charge, when the apocalypse was still the most terrifying thing in the world and there was hope of keeping it at bay. but he's not human either, because he can never be, because the body that is his — his — is still not really his. the soul he's grown can't fit in it quite right, not the way a human's is supposed to, anyway.

where does this leave him? somewhere between heaven and earth. with his clipped wings, and his crooked, cracked halo. he'll never quite be human, but he's human enough for his little family of misfits. and he's never going to be an all-powerful angel again, but he's angel enough to teach his son the things he needs to learn, to heal the hurt when he is able, to cross the boundary into heaven when he's called. it's an odd, uncomfortable, terrifying, wonderful place to be. and maybe it's not exactly what he wants, and maybe he longs for his wings and his grace and the power of heaven at the tips of his fingers sometimes, but it's enough, he thinks, considering. he's happy. isn't that kind of the whole point?

Talking about how beautiful his eyes were, and how he could listen to him talk for hours even if he was particularly dorky, and how he just wanted to run his fingers through his hair. But Never saying his name.

Sam just assumed Dean knew he was talking about Gabriel. Meanwhile, Dean is seething with anger and jealousy over the fact that Sam apparently has a crush on Castiel.
