Currently in love with my mental picture of post-botw queen Zelda not sitting in a castle (Let's be honest, that castle would take so long to be restored, it's massive and hyrule lost quite a lot), but continuing to be a traveling frontiersman-y type of queen instead, and her royal outfits reflecting that and the fact that hyrule is recovering.

I'm imagining, for one example, a boho-ish? kind of dress that still makes her status or identity clear, but very much toned down compared to what it would of been 100 years ago, and is easy to move in. Her "castle" for formal meetings regarding restoration, etc, is literally just a large tent that is moved from place to place.

the fact that i'm no longer the same age as the protagonists of novels and films i once connected to is so heartbreaking. there was a time when I looked forward to turning their age. i did. and i also outgrew them. i continue to age, but they don't; never will. the immortality of fiction is beautiful, but cruel.

It's interesting how in Hades the First Zagreus hung around the less "problematic" kids of Nyx and dated Megaera the Fury, who isn't as unhinged as her sisters.

Then in Hades II, Melinoe is surrounded by Nyx's more chaotic brood. Nemesis, Eris, even Moros (though he is a sweetie, he has admitted to messing with people's Fates alongside his sisters just for the fun of it). Hypnos is there too but he's asleep and exists to have Mel have a parasocial relationship with.
