k so i have a theory that early early on when writing helluva boss, asmodeus and mammon were going to be one character at one point (not in terms of names or their roles as sins, but in terms of fizz having one boss not two). like maybe early on ozzie was going to be abusive and exploitative like mammon is now, but this was shelved for too similar to angel/valentino, or because viv wanted a happier uwu yaoi dynamic, etc. so she included mammon and made ozzie nicer. it’d explain why asmodeus is involved in sex bot business despite saying he doesnt want to be: bc homegirl has no foresight.

(note im actually glad they didnt make ozzie valentino 2: electric boogaloo. and im a sucker for “big buff monster man who’s very kinky but also a sweetheart.” but i think viv’s writing is sloppy and you can see the rabbit trails everywhere)

Mammon was definitely meant to be the LooLoo Land boss and probably Fizz’s business partner(?) while Asmodeus was possibly a secret not-so-wholesome fling turned sugar daddy. It’s possible that Mammon put Fizz up to dating Ozzie in a “steal as much from (redacted) as you possibly can” type situation. Asmodeus is supposed to have sexualised and exploited the sexualised image of Fizzarolli while Mammon reaped the benefits because Oz is the demon of lust, and in the story mammon is more like Asmodeus than Asmodeus himself. What “i don’t like designing sex toys with your likeness” “I don’t like how many creeps you have now thanks to mammon”’ really? But you built the fuckin things mannnnn 💀 it just makes Asmodeus look so weak willed to me? I don’t like using my entire ass factory he says as a sin, to an imp???? What,? You know in a cosmic sortve way, it’s almost like crimson got revenge on Moxxies behalf. Wouldn’t it be hilarious if Fizz got it into his head that moxxie was the evil mastermind behind all of this and started being extra special nice to him. Actually I have no idea how a moxxie and fizzarolli interaction would go now that Viv decided to swap around Fizz’s personality into a moxxie.

Asmodeus should have been Lyle Lipton times a thousand, or at least morally grey like Willy wonka who was whimsical but still exploited people. The worst part is Ozzie has such a menacing design and for what, it’s gone to waste. Just like how terrifying stolas used to be before becoming the creators pet.

Actually you know what else bugs me about putting Fizz in Ozzie’s pocket? The fact that Fizz made his own fortune and Mammon stole it. So now he relies on Ozzies money and gifts. Why the hell does a successful actor and performer need a sugar daddy?? Is it just cause he’s an imp. That would drive me crazy. I’m so sad that the plot of this wasn’t someone who wanted to continue to make his own money out of an inferiority complex of his race, and to not be so dependent anymore. Grrrr.

I’ve seen fics where Fizz is just Ozzies favourite employee and they even have a comforting relationship backstage, but they see other people. Everyone says making them monogamous feels ooc. I think it was this one Jesse x Fizzarolli story I read?And the characterisation of Fizz is just wayyyy superior. He’s what you’d expect, an arrogant asshole. And he has vulnerable cute and cuddly moments. There was another one I read where he started working for Asmodeus but still had a persona with Mammon and that’s why everything was hush hush. I also fully support the trans man fizz in former that fic, he was genuinely cool.

sanji's brothers have always treated him horribly. he went through so much physical and emotional trauma because of them that the thought of siblings having a good relationship is completely weird for him. he doesn't have good memories of his brothers, but he knows how they should have treated him. the way they acted isn't how someone that should love you acts. those are not his brothers. so the concept of a brother loving him is completely foreign to him.

and then he meets ace.

ace, who looks after luffy constantly. ace, who's worried about how his brother is doing. ace, who's polite and kind and a genuinely good person. ace, who's obviously luffy's brother because he is also a menace to society. ace, who would do anything for luffy. ace, whose priority will always be luffy.

and, you know, that's weird for sanji. a brother who cares. who loves. who fights for his little brother. who wants to be with him. who loves him. who has missed him during the years they've been apart. and it makes sanji wonder why his brothers weren't like this, if it isn't that hard, really, to love him. maybe it's just his own fault.

and it's such a great dynamic to explore! because, for sanji, luffy is just so lucky to have ace. and ace is literally the peak of kindness. sanji lacks brotherly love, ace is literally made to be luffy's brother, and for sanji that's literally so, so beautiful...

it helps, too, that ace is extremely hot (cliché pun extremely intended).

it's not only the whole "ace being a good brother" thing, though. it's also their pasts. feeling worthless and undeserving of love. of living. they both feel out of place and often pretend to be what they're not. they can't love themselves and are always appreciating the fact that they have people who love them. it's such a good ship because it explores both of them learning to love and to be loved!

i like the ship for these things, but also because it's so, so funny.... ace is so chaotic and he tries to be all teasing and cool and hot. and he's just a failguy sometimes. because he's a fucking idiot. and sanji finds that endearing. also, sanji being all done with him because he is, indeed, an idiot, is the funniest thing ever. and sanji is the most bottomest of the bottoms, so of course he likes ace.

BLEAARRRHGGHH FNAF JUMPSCARE SFX im thinking. this is rlly rushed because my actual thoughts are wayyyy way too strange and everywhere to properly explain. yup.

“Are you sure you’re alright with me waiting in here?” A sweet voice chirped from the suburban home’s quaint living room.

“Of course!” Agnes responded from her kitchen, her back turned from the connected room. She waved her hand over the beverage in front of her. The insides of Wanda’s spell were quite mysterious to her, that did surmount to her reason for being there, but she found a side project. Ever since the town bloomed with color, something happened with one captive… Lucielle Ardei.

The young woman plopped right down on the edge of the main couch, careful not to disturb the peace of the room. She was definitely the type of woman to ask a million questions. Agatha could tell, not just by the demeanor, but more so her thoughts being more prone than an open book.

She was a sweet thing, fitting into Westview just enough, even if her puzzle piece was a bit frayed. Finally in color, Agatha could really inspect her. Curly brown that bordered on maroon puffed up right at her shoulders, framing a round face and just barely brushing her forest green collared shirt. It was layered over a dark purple shirt that mirrored Agatha’s skirt and similarly dark pants. The witch’s own outfit almost bordered on gothic, and she wouldn’t dwell on it, she just wanted to thank her own powers for allowing her to split from that god forsaken neighbor persona.

What she was mainly proud of, however, was being able to get Lucielle inside. A week or so back, when the town was still cast in grays, she put up a flyer under the guise of her husband- The husband she didn’t have. It was for a bird watching event in her yard, it was a miracle she could read Lucielle’s town character enough to ensure she’d be the only one showing up. And with her closer, she could sense something under that blanket of scarlet mist in the air.

Agnes stepped back into the living room, letting her eyes sweep across the floor to see how the new era spell changed its layout. It looked like it was right out of a cottage, dark antique furniture surrounding an ornate fireplace. She holds a small silvery tray, with a pair of teacups and a steaming pot. “He should be out soon, sweetheart,” She assured as she set the saucers on the coffee table. “I could only convince him to be on time if there was alcohol involved.”

Lucielle feigned a smile, cautiously reaching for one of the two lavender teacups. “Well, you’re probably far more hospitable than him,” She says with a tilt of her head, looking up to the witch with a more genuine smile. With the faint narrowing of her eyes, she looked quite proud of using a term that’d confuse any other brainwashed citizen. Agatha brushes her long skirt forward when she sat on the other side of the velvety couch. She lifts her own teacup, and merely blows on it once before taking a sip.

“Oh, I’ve never been praised so sweetly!” Agatha chuckles, waving her free hand, “Maybe you can enlighten me about whatever birds you’ll be watching.”

Lucielle had to let her tea sit for a few moments, blowing on it much to even be able to stomach it. The sip makes her smile when she’s flooded with its sweetness. Agatha smiles as well, her head raising as she practically looks down her nose at the other woman.

The tea was a potion, of course it was, one that’d allow Agatha to see through the spell. That’s when her eyes widened as Lucielle’s appearance appeared to materialize right in front of her. It wasn’t much, but even with her limited knowledge, she could grasp the idea of this girl as a mutant. Thin maroon feathers grow between her curls, and further down they begin to shift into iridescent slate blues. Her brown irises are now a sharp yellow, and faint cream markings surround her eyes. That’s where her interest in birds came from, Wanda’s spell plucked her mutation and crafted it into just another background character’s personality.

It took everything for Agatha not to snap into action right there. Her face falls slack as she takes this revelation in, but she quickly calms herself when Lucielle looks back.

“I do hope the tea is to your liking,” Agnes saves her staring with a comment, and sets down her cup. She can’t help but lean closer after crossing one leg over the other, and her eyes narrow with a faint smile. That smile just grows when Lucielle nods.

“It’s wonderful! I just hope I’ll find where to buy the bags,” She snickered, before sipping again. The warmth of the drink warmed her heart; quite literally, causing her to shudder slightly and ruffle her feathers.

That’s what did it, Agatha pounced as soon as the mutant finished her tea and returns the cup. She cast her hand to the side and swiftly snapped her fingers, summoning wisps of violet smoke to surround Lucielle’s wrists and ankles. Just at the snap, it was like she was snapped out of the Westview curse as well, causing her to yelp with surprise. She tenses up, her hair and feathers puffed as she sits rigid against the couch.

She wasn’t sure how to feel, the snap brought on a sense of panic from the binding spell, but also one of an innate freedom. “What in the- Miss Harkness what are you!?” Her avian squeaks are cut off by quick tutting sounds from the witch.

“Nothing to worry about! Promise!” The witch’s voice has devolved into her Agnes persona as she attempts to console the mutant.

“Is- Is this your house? Why can’t I remember coming? My wings, my bag, my-“ Agatha’s expression tightened at Lucielle’s panicked pleas, she considered putting her back under the spell… But this was more fun. She sends a band of mist to cover the bird’s mouth, before laughing herself. Lucielle responds with a whine, her heart racing like a rabbit’s in a trap.

“I’ll explain, I’ll explain!” Her more devious explanations have devolved into a fit of giggles. She sits back, leaning her back and an elbow on the velvet behind her, leaving her free hand to gesture Lucielle closer. The coaxing caused the spell to tighten, to jerk her seated stance to lean a bit closer. “I can promise you’re safe, dearest, you’re safer here than out there!” Rather than a slower, more menacing movement, she ruffled Lucielle’s bangs and scattered the brown feathers. “I just have one request: sing me a song, my bird, please?” Agatha’s sharp gaze appeared to soften, but not by much, and its quickly replaced by her smile growing. “You are just the darndest thing… How I’d love to know more about you.”

Headcanons series: The Zoldyck children and their sibling dynamics. Part 2 Milluki

Milluki

Illumi - Growing up Milluki envied Illumi as he was always "better" than him (physically fitter, quicker to learn nen, higher tolerance for torture/training, more focused etc). Eventually, (probably as a teen) he "gave up" trying to match his big brother. Now he holds the belief that Illumi is simply an over-achiever/workaholic that could do with getting a hobby and learning to chill occasionally. However, Illumi scares him so he'd never say that to his face! Milluki does respect Illumi and knows he is a better assassin than him. He does find it annoying that Illumi doesn't respect him though. Milluki may not leave the house or take as many contracts, but he still works hard from home handling client communication, researching targets and inventing/maintaining weapons. He feels what he does isn't appreciated by anyone in his family but Illumi was the first to outwardly show disdain for him so it bothers him most when it comes from him. Milluki does have a give/take relationship with Illumi though and we see this in the 1999 anime, when Milluki struggles to hack into Greed Island he cries out in frustration wishing Illumi were there because he'd know what to do.

Killua - Like with Illumi, Milluki knows that Killua has potential and is probably going to surpass him as an assassin. However, he is jealous of how the family treat Killua, sure he's probably got the most potential and it makes sense he probably should be the favourite as heir to the Zoldyck business. But Milluki doesn't see why that entitles Killua to special treatment. In his mind, Killua is spoiled and bratty and seems to get away with all sorts that neither he nor Illumi would have done. In contrast to Illumi who Milluki thinks is too serious about work, Milluki thinks Killua is too laid-back and he doesn't appreciate Killua's attitude. Also hasn't forgiven Killua for stabbing him.

Alluka - Milluki doesn't view Alluka as a person, and definitely not as a sibling. He sees her as more of a tool or weapon. He knows how the costs of using her ability work and how serious they can be. He doesn't fear her, or using her ability though as he's arrogant enough to think he already knows everything he needs to know to keep safe. I feel that by the end of the election arc, having seen Alluka and Killua interact and the way Alluka genuinely adores Killua his view of her may have changed and he may now feel guilty about how he treated her. He may be beginning to see she is human and wayyyy more than just a convenient tool.

Kalluto - Milluki finds Kalluto creepy! He's so quiet and seems to always be watching Milluki from the shadows. Nothing gets past Kalluto. Observation and stealth are great traits for an assassin to have, but he doesn't need to use them all the time, especially not at home! What's worse is how close Kalluto is to their mother. Yes, he is the youngest and some parental attachment is to be expected, but he's also a Zoldyck! Hiding behind his mother isn't right for an assassin. Whispering Milluki's secrets to Mother is also not okay, hasn't anyone taught this kid that assassins are supposed to be able to keep secrets? Of course, Illumi seems to like the little creeper which just cements the idea in Milluki's mind that the kid is not normal. Milluki is relieved when he leaves home to join the Phantom Troupe, he's not sure what the gang see in him, other than just the Zoldyck name perhaps? But he hopes being around other people might make him learn to behave a little more normally!

As someone who spends a lot of time in fandom space, do you have any thoughts on this? I'm thinking myself in regards to shipping in general, but asking here knowing this is a jikook space.

Today is a brain fog day, so I've just been mindlessly flipping through YouTube shorts, and the amount of edits and clips with creators and commenters focusing on the perceived jealousy between the people they ship is baffling. Most of the time I just don't see it: person A's face was doing a weird thing when the camera caught it while B and C were dancing together - even media trained professionals aren't On every single second. Maybe he had gas?

I'm the last person who should be commenting on healthy mindstates in relationships, I'm full of issues, but the focus on and desire for jealousy is just...bizarre? Jealousy doesn't feel nice - not from either direction. Why would someone wish that on people they love and admire? 

It sounds like I'm being judgemental reading this over, and that wasn't my intention. This ask springs from genuine curiosity: what is the draw?

The want to be desired above anything and everything to the point of possessiveness. To be coveted and protected. "They must *really* love me if this is how they feel and they want me so much." And I blame media who romantizes the fuck out of the "jealousy trope" while in real life, it translates to something much more toxic and when it goes too far? It translates into something more like Joe from You. It often even ends up romanticizing abusive ideals and relationships. People cannot and do not own and control other people. Not their actions or their other relationships outside of your own.

Jealousy is a mark of Insecurity more often than not. Not every time, but it's often a sign of needing more communication in the relationship and talking about whatever triggered the Jealousy and what boundaries in the relationship work for everyone. It's not really a tell of desire, like a lot of people seem to think it is, but rather a tell of person a being insecure about something. And that's an issue to be resolved or abandoned, not an excuse to be controlling. Boundaries are to be respected and if two peoples boundaries don't line up, then the relationship should not continue. If one person's boundaries aren't fair or respectful of another and leak into the toxic controlling aspect instead, then that's a them problem. And it's not a sign of them being so in love with you that they can't control themselves.

If they talk bad about the other people in your life, or they want you spending less time with them, that's a red flag. Please reconsider the relationship. It's not cute and it's not romantic.

And in regards to shipping... well people look for their jealous in terms of I see it as a indication of attraction and love in the romance centered media I consume, so if I see it in my ship, it's proof of my ship being "real." The whys & wherefores are below the cut - but I have to give the obligatory disclaimer that this is all personal opinion. I know this is a bit of a contentious comic in the fandom, for reasons I fully understand! I'm not looking to get into a debate - just to ramble a little and share my love for this series with folks who, hopefully, will appreciate that x

The most egregious issue I had with White Knight was that Jack seemed to be an entirely different character from Joker. So... why should I even care about him?

Like. He started wearing a suit? And working out to get the Stereotypical Superhero Bod rather than rocking that classic scrawny Joker look? And he became a freaking politician? Bullshit.

Add to that the shoddy mental health depictions (that's... really not how DID works, DC) and the blatant homophobia of "We will literally say ON THE PAGE that Joker is in love with Batman, but only when he's evil - when he's good, he's in love with Harley and hates Batman".... Yeah, the initial comic has issues, to say the least.

BUT. I do think that in the later chapters, after Jack's 'death' - so, in the Beyond the White Knight era! - Jack's characterisation gets wayyyy more believable. He reads like a good incarnation of Joker! He's annoying - purposefully, irrepressably so! He's a dork! He's hyper-intelligent but also just plain ol' hyper! He does his own sound effects! He goofs about because he thinks he's hilarious (and Bruce kinda indulges him and it's very cute)! He's A MASSIVE Batman fanboy, and hooooo boy does it show!

There's a gigantic Queer Undertone to his relationship with Batman - even more so than is the norm, for Batjokes. One need only look at the little heart emoticon when he talked to Bruce in the Valentine's Day issue. Or the whole 'Harley gets to call you Bats but I don't? :pout:' part. Or the 'those two bicker like an old married couple' bit, or the part where Jack asks Batman if he can ride on the back of his motorcycle ("You won't even feel my arms around you ;)" - holographic flirting at its finest!), or even Bruce's relationship with Harley!

I'm serious. You do NOT need to be wearing the Queer Viewing Goggles in order to interpret Jack wholeheartedly supporting Bruce and Harley getting together and being happy together, with or without his involvement, in a very OT3-sorta-fashion.

Buuuuuut if you're after explicit statements that Jack is still in love with Batman as Jack, rather than Joker, you won't find them in this comic. I would argue that there's enough implicit stuff there to see Jack as 100% bisexual, in love with Bruce and Harley, but, as usual.... that reading remains implicit. Instead, there is enough ambiguity for Comic Dudebros to argue that The Magic Brain Pills 'cured' Joker both of his mental illness and his love for Batman. Which... sigh. :/

In other news, I genuinely like the depiction of Bruce in this comic! So driven, so stoic... But he's also learning slowly how to be vulnerable with the people who love him, how to accept and live with his panic disorder, and how to impart affection to his sons! He's learning that he's allowed family, happiness, and peace! Those are arcs I will never tire of.

Harley is also a delight - a take-no-shit, smart yet fun interpretation of the character. She doesn't really read like the Harley I know and love, but regardless, I'm invested in her and her story!

So, yeah. Awesome art, decent storyline (not exceptional, but far from the worst out there!), fascinating Elseworlds look at the entire Batfam, and strong, strong implications of an m/m/f OT3... There's a lot not to love. But there's a lot to love, too!

I've been having a massive Goemon brainrot, and you can feel free to ignore me because this one is going to be 100% self-indulgent: I think he should be half-brazilian because I am brazilian and I said so

(I actually do have reasons why it would genuinely be interesting other than my own amusement, alright, I'll talk about them)

For context as to why I even began to think about it, we do an anual celebration of Japanese immigration due to the intensive flow in which it happened and how it affected brazilian culture overtime. It is, after all, the country with the biggest numbers of Japanese people outside of Japan (though, to be fair, Brazil is often the country with the biggest x out of x_motherland) and you can see the influence of the immigratory flow in places such as Liberdade, a neighbourhood of São Paulo:

There's a lot to say about the Japanese immigration to Brazil over the years and how it affected the culture surrounding both countries, but there's also a second wave of immigration that does the exact opposite: brazilians with Japanese background going back to Japan

Although that second wave only happened in the 1980s with the economic crisis (if you want context, research about Plano Collor, it's absolutely ridiculous) and we can assume that most of what we would consider to be the "Lupin III very blurry timeline" happens sometime around the 1970s to 1980s, there still lies the possibility that one of the nikkeis decided to come back to Japan. Contact with the country returned after WWII ended and it was clear to many people that the economic situation in Brazil was significantly better, despite the setbacks of being in a land with a hard language to learn when your first language doesn't have most of the phonems needed to master it and the problem of racism (there's a reason why there are a bunch of European immigrant descendents here, and trust me, it ain't good)

Now, I will say that it is a highly improbable scenario, because most of immigrants had immigrated with their families and would therefore be more willing to stay. But it is not impossible.

All of that, in turn, leads me to Goemon and how I think making his mother a nikkei who returned to Japan would be an interesting way to showcase this complicated History both countries share with one another through a character. I think he'd enjoy these anual festival São Paulo does, and to wander around the streets of Liberdade to see a part of Japan existing elsewhere. To see that there are a lot of people in a foreign country with familiar names. Lastly, I think it'd be a multicultural experience to him, aswell, since this culture is not the only one deeply connected with brazilian History and part of the historical figures, tragedies, music, nursing rhymes, literature and food found wayyyy outside of what he's known also belongs to him

(And I just think it's funny to imagine Goemon looking at pastel de sushi - pastel was most likely created by Japanese immigrants, and for the hispanohablantes, NO, it is NOT a cake - and wondering whose idea it was to put salmon in there. I want him to feel that shame. And I want him to enjoy eating it)

(Also, I may find the way that he sounds in the PT-BR dub of The First hilarious. He literally sounds as if he's in a novel, while brazilians are informal and "eat vowels". He doesn't. Eu amo ele)

So I think I'm coming to a decision and here's what I want to say:

I am choosing to be neutral. I do not want to take sides, and I don't really wanna be involved in discourse and see people say that someone should die or something. That's wayyyy too hard for me, as someone who has lost someone close to me to suicide, and has witnessed many more crack under the opinions of people who don't even know them.

I come from a fandom where darker topics are roleplayed all the time, but the people there agree that certain topics are yikes and do not support them irl. We agree that characters intentions, thoughts, opinions, etc. do not equal the intentions, thoughts, opinions, etc. of the roleplayer; the fandom source is dark, and it allows us to explore darker themes, angsty plots, and interesting stories. We recognize that some stuff just isn't our cup of tea so when engaging with each other we don't engage in those topics!

Additionally, I think characters and ships and narratives all rely on the source and CONTEXT they are based on.

Another example: It's like cancelling George R.R. Martin for writing about war and murder and incest and rape in Game of Thrones. These things, unfortunately, happen, and exploring them in fiction is normal for a lot of writers and they are still able to admit that these actions irl are wrong. And yet Martin is not cancelled. People who are not comfortable with these topics don't watch the show nor read the books. People who do engage with the media make ocs and ships with murder and darker themes as it is within the realm of belief for the source. It does not mean that they, nor Martin, support rape or murder or incest.

This. This is what I'm understanding of Proship at the very least. I do not know enough about comship as it is a new label that I'm not as familiar with and I am still struggling to understand it. I think it is VERY important to be critical about the media you consume, to question themes and the creators is healthy, but I do just as genuinely believe that people can explore darker themes without actually endorsing it irl. THAT is the most important thing to me. If someone is prancing around saying they whole heartedly wanna do things to children... that is a completely different story. That is not even in the realm of shipping. Those are the people to watch out for.

Think about the memes about this, too. The "i could fix him" and "i could make him worse" memes. That's toxic idealization, but put in a way that is humorous and something a lot of people can chalk their very own ship dynamics up to. I don't see people sending death threats over that.

Which means it's all about context and intent. Not all proshippers agree with various dark themes, and from what I've had explained to me and from what I've seen it is generally just letting people explore fiction the way they want to. Sometimes it's a way to cope. Sometimes it's to create a story. Sometimes it's just to have fun.

If you're reading this and choose to disagree, that's your decision and it will be respected. People are allowed to agree to disagree over something as simple as fiction. Feel free to block me.

This said, here are my boundaries, I would like for them to be respected if we have a conversation/talk about ships.

-I do not support incest irl and would prefer not to engage with romantic incest ships. I will block if this is disrespected.

-I do not support pedophilia and would prefer not to engage with adult/minor age gap romantic ships. I do not mind ships with age gaps as long as a MINOR is NOT involved. I will block if this is disrespected.

Listen, listen, I’m the next biggest fan of ‘the gentleman devil’ design, but... Lucifer? It just... doesn’t feel right. For a character that’s the dictator of the entire ring, a royalty upon royalty, a man that has the entire inferno under his boot: His demeanor and appearance fells more alike to that of Morningstar’s family butler rather than the head Morningstar himself. Perhaps it’s not necessarily his design at fault (that still is abomination of ties, suits and over-abused red contrast Viv puts in her every design like she owns these accessories money), but the way his character was executed. He’s revealed wayyyy too early and way too casually. Instead of sticking out, begin conversed about or at least properly shown on the screen to reveal his significance, he’s just a background portrait that has seconds of screen time. Once again, he feels like a butler. An minor character that goes and comes within command instead of the destructive evil force that rebelled against heavens itself. Perhaps the whole monologue about Alastor Vaggie lamented about should have been Lucifer’s. Perhaps Viv should have actually put the effort to make him look more unique and intimidating/important (those goddamn overused sharp smile, those goddamn teeth!). Perhaps the writers realize the worldbuilding and immersive potential Lucifer has, use him as a tool to establish how order and hierarchy goes, to his relationship with his daughter, from a bit piece of hell to bit piece of the Morningstar’s family status. The last one especially gets on my nerves. Lucifer’s name/presence alone is a gateway to Worldbuilding paradise. Like, for examples, the reactions of outside characters. Maybe Katie didn’t genuinely realize Charlie is the daughter of Lucifer cause she is just so non-harmful. You know there are gonna be people who came into her news claiming themself the successor to the throne, and when this perky white chick came calling herself the princess of hell, she was so amused by the idea that she decided to invite and publicly humiliate her. But once her insults actually starts tearing Charlie’s patience, we could had cool scene of very eldritch-esque Charlie very much failing to hold her cosmic fury back, foaming at the mouth and staring ice into the very soul of Katie. The news could have ended in bloody mess or glitch with the last scene begin Katie screaming for her dear life. This may have broken into another multiple new casts, where people  got terrified of what happened and how it reached Alastor’s attention- But, here’s the deal. Despite what all they have seen so far, majority of people (including Alastor) still doesn’t believe Charlie’s legitimacy. “...That... fuck... that shit is fucking scary. Never liked the news reporter bitch, but you still think after that she is...?” “I don’t know, mate. But I sure as hell know she ain’t gonna be in one piece. That shit on the screen was hellspawn. But... I still don’t believe it’s the spawn of you-know-who.” “...Yeah. Same. It’s probably another delusional poser, but still, I’m not gonna go outside alone for a while. Especially that things hotel. Oh god, that fucking hotel.” From this entire interaction, we got: > An visual presentation of Charlie’s hellish princess powers, a much more believable and immersive than just stating she is hell’s princess. > An believable and reasonable reason why she was:       1. Allowed on the Broadcast       2. Caught Alastor’s attention       3. Why people reacted negatively to her proposition       4. Why people don’t want to go to her hotel > And despite how powerful she may be, that people still are unsure if she is the daughter to the King of hell. Not only out of denial, but also to show just how much more powerful his image is in hell that people can’t compare it. And that is only the the first 10 minute mark that had gave logic to questions I’ve been pondering for the entire 30 min run that was never brought up!  Imagine what it could have done in rest of the pilot! Like... Man. I’ll never stop begin frustrated to how they downplayed such major character like that in the goddamn pilot.

ohkay the 1991 werewolf iditarod is a mostly-nonserious project that i Would like to genuinely write but only am balking at because i know for a fact it would take 370 million years and be very long and difficult to give a reasonable pace to. i like my writing to be, if not fast-paced, then at least like. well paced, building to a proper ending and not meandering or spending too much time in some parts or not...

also i don't know enough about the iditarod. like im on the website reading all the stuff and thinkin about it... but i am a city slicker through and through and dont know NEARLY enough about like. survival in the bush. if you dear reader have any resources please drop em in the askbox. anyhway shtep one of this long and arduous writing journey (much like the race herself) would be RESEARCH copious amounts and amounts of it and i am IN SCHOOL right now.

okay the general premise is that stevie y is not in fact a hockey player and is instead an adventurer... a guy with dogs. this is his rookie iditarod (but you have to be an experienced musher to run the race, so that is what he is.) somewhere at one of the early earlyyyy checkpoints he has to leave one of his dogs behind (shes hurt/not doing well enough/etc. the vets say Bud, She Can't Get Another Nine Hundred Miles In and stevie goes "yeah reasonable. gbye") so he is working a dog below.

anyway he gets into a different Situation not one checkpoint later (we're talking like. rainy pass/finger lake early shtuff) where the sled gets flipped and dented and he gets hurt, so he decides fuck it, we're holing up for a little bit. whatevs. just until i figure out sled repair, my delivery is wayyyy way ahead at mcgrath (or maybe beyond.... it's common to replace the sled at mcgrath but i don't know if stevie would!). so he's there, resting the dogs, figuring if at this rate he should just turn back. no shame in dnf-ing, always better to protect yourself than to do something stupid in the name of it.

and then a dog comes out of the forest, a blond siberian bigger than the rest of his dogs, uncanny-looking but friendly.

this dog is ofcourse one sergei fedorov; i say "werewolf" but like i don't imagine he's a werewolf in the traditional sense, more like... a land selkie. that he can take off his dog coat and become a beautiful youth. he's still russian, of course, and his english is shaky, but he is enamored of stevie (and who wouldn't be! look at him!)

anyway. long story short they fall in love and complete the race . YES there will be "it's so cold... and we're semi-snowed into this cabin... how ever will we keep warm...?" momence. NO i won't write the fic so you'll have to imagine it for yourself

The writers have stated they did not know what to do with splinter a lot of the time so i think that’s why.
