Ritchie Simpson continued to search frantically for the connection out of the computer and back to his body as he begged John to explain what he meant by saying “Goodbye.”

Had John disconnected him? He knew John’s sense of humor wasn’t the lightest, especially after Newcastle drove them all a bit insane, but that felt too far even for him. Nah, he’d probably just gotten himself a bit lost in the wave of energy he’d experienced in the Tongues of Fire network and was accidentally looking for his body in the wrong spot.

He pulled himself back and let his mental connection to the digital world expand outward, probing the rest of the machine for the connection. He knew he was in the right system, so as long as he looked thoroughly he’d definitely fi—

Everything flashed a surge of blinding white and then was replaced by pure darkness. He thought he screamed, but he couldn’t hear his own voice. Couldn’t even feel his own thoughts. Trapped in one single instant that stretched for indeterminable eons. Then, eventually (or was it immediately?), awareness began to trickle back.

He was still in the computer, though it felt… different, somehow. His thoughts still weren’t entirely in order. The first possible hints towards his location he found were the sound voices trickling through from the outside world. Voices he didn’t recognize. Young voices.

“I’m happy to help, Tuck, but I’m not really sure what you expect me to do here. You’re way better than me at this computer stuff than me.”

“By all means, feel free to keep complimenting me, but this has been frying my brain, man. I got this thing secondhand, and the system should be quite powerful, but there’s something using up a ton of its processing and I can’t figure out what. I was hoping you could do your ‘enter into the computer’ thing and see if you see anything.”

i know you're leaning more into supernatural mythical designs now, but how do living people like elijah, delsin, or aiden factor in your au?

okay this is kinda mean to joke about kjsdhfgjksdf, real answer under the cut though in case people don't want to hear me ramble

jokes aside, elijah, delsin, and aiden are fine if i were gonna draw them for the ghosts in the machine ""au"" too, just simply not drawn as angels, demons, spirits, etc! like any other "blorbo acting as an impromptu art muse", they'd be the same thing as my previous doodles of alex and desmond crawling out of my screen before i started to toy w drawing supernatural/spiritual details on them.

i just,, haven't really thought of a good way to include them in my current doodlings since My current art muses atm (and thus who i draw in the "artist haunted by her ""art muses""" shenanigans) are primarily desmond, alex, and sometimes the ac brotherhood/desmond's ancestors barging in to fight for my attention/hyperfixation too...! if i were hyperfixated and drawing the others though, i like the idea of elijah and desmond being modern menaces to the brotherhood (Especially giving them shit for not acknowledging elijah beyond the comics), delsin can karma-switch back and forth Acting like an angel/devil (depending on how he feels/acts in the moment) to play off of or annoy des and alex, and aiden,,,, aiden's still just an old man fighting over the remote w me, idk lmao

So, the Ministry is in Italy right? So did you meet Terzo in a bar in Sweden or were you touring in Italy? Also, how was the moving process?

The Ministry that I am a part of is in Italy, correct. There are many across the world.

We met in Sweden. He said he was there on a "business trip". I think he lied, but I've lied about worse, so...

The moving process was a blur. I left a lot behind, honestly. Fit what I could into a suitcase, got on a plane, was stranded in Italy for a bit before Papa found me and whisked me away, for lack of a better word.

My fave thing about the shadows getting to know the 141 is tbe fact they’ll all go through the inevitable getting to know ghost journey which is oh he hes so scary and must no be trusted 😡 -> oh he’s just some dude who wears skulls and drinks tea 😂-> oh he can clear an entire facility on his own with a knife okay yeah he’s scary 🫡-> oh he needs therapy and a hug let’s give him tea 🥺

Ghost unintentionally got adopted by a whole squadron of Shadows.

There’s plenty of Shadows who still fuck with him, make jokes at his expense, and are generally dicks to him and the rest of 141. So it’s a wonder how he has 50+ Shadows that are suddenly his defense squad. They actually snap at their fellow Shadows when they fuck with Ghost. They bring him food, tea, repair his gear, and Ghost has even been dragged off to bed by ten of the bastards.

He tries to get them to fuck off but one of the older ladies hugged him and told him he was doing a good job and now he doesn’t have the heart to. Ghost wants to hate Shadow Company and Graves, but he has to admit there are good men and women in its ranks.
