And since I’m throwing out ideas for gl pairings I need the SIZZY girls to get their own show!

I would personally like to see CiizeJan and JaneAye, but to be honest it could go whichever way and i would be satisfied. I JUST WANT TO SEE MY GIRLS IN MORE LEADING ROLES AND IN A GL, TOGETHER. Someone get me into gmmtv’s A&R because they are really missing out by not giving these girl a show. THEY COULD LITERALLY MAKE A GIRL GROUP GL LIKE COME ONNNN. Or something else, but I don’t want a school/university one because we are already getting 23.5 (plus tu and prim would fit a university concept better). i have an idea and I’ll just use the ‘actresses names + character’ to make it easier.

Okay so here’s my vision. It could be an office romance thing. Not the GAP, CEO x employee kind, but it’s still an office romance just a weaker power dynamic. So Jan’s character/cht (age 28). Is an editor at a fashion house/magazine within a media company, she’s your typical chic, cold and levelheaded fashion girlie. She went to a top university and has a master’s in marketing, media and e-commerce. She’s hard working and competent, and is striving to one day become the editor in chief of their division. Only child. Online shopping and drinking wine are her favorite pass times. Loves jazz and indie music. Hates any form of physical activity, would much rather binge reruns of her favorite lakorn. Never had much interest in dating or romance so her sexuality is ??? to others (family & friends), but she’s lesbian. And the new employee is Ciize. Ciize’s character (age 23) recently graduated and starts out as an assistant editor, who obviously gets paired with Jan cht, because Jan’s previous assistant quit (Jan’s cht was overbearing). Did international economics + a year abroad. She is bubbly, extroverted, creative and competitive. She loves fashion and is always down for adventure. Ex-football athlete (soccer for Americans) when she was in high school. She is always branching out and trying new things, her goal in life is to one day create her own sustainable clothing brand. She’s smart but a little disorganized, but it’s okay because she just started out (she’s a quick learner though). Youngest of 3, older brother and sister. Loves going to the beach. Strong dislike for spicy food, picky eater. She’s pan and has been in one relationship during uni that ended kinda messy. The perfect grumpy x sunshine couple who grow closer as they work together and start secretly dating at work.

So moving on to JaneAye. Jane’s character (age 28) is a curator at an arts and culture museum. She studied either contemporary art or cross cultural management, or both you know double major. Jane’s character is a very expressive person, she loves cats and is an avid movie watcher (she loves horror & sci-fi). Blunt and doesn’t sugarcoat anything, can’t stand passive aggressive people. To her, family and friends are the most important things, oldest of 5. She’s very diligent and loyal, the most dependable person, if you were caught in a difficult situation she’s the one to call. She has her fair share of experience with relationships, most of them ended badly so she’s more cautious but still a hopeless romantic. Loves movie dates (with friends or partner). Not a fan of PDA or skinship. Openly bisexual, came out when she was 18. Aye’s character (age 24) is talkative, intuitive and easygoing, she doesn’t like confrontation but always ends up in such situations. She is an ambivert, she likes to read people’s vibes and energy before getting close to them. She studied communication arts at a well-known university. Loves outdoor activities and enjoys fitness, but also likes some alone time cooking or reading a book. She’s been an athlete since primary (i.e. middle school), she plays for a woman’s football club now. Also an aspiring actress and is a influencer. Coffee lover. Sensitive to others opinions, people pleaser. She is the middle child. Was comphet and in a hetero relationship before, but is now a baby lesbian. Jane’s cht meets Aye’s cht. At a local supermarket where they had an altercation over something. Of course Aye’s cht was being passive aggressive, while Jane’s character was with all the smoke so they naturally don’t like each other. With the bad first impression they keep bumping into each other in undesirable situations, making them dislike each other even more. Until Aye’s cht is selected as an influencer for an event at Jane’s museum and they have to work together. A classic bad first impression, enemies to lovers, and slow burn romance.

Jan and Jane’s cht are childhood besties, they’re neighbours as their childhood homes are 4 minutes away from each other (walking distance). They have an interesting dynamic, they balance each other out very well. They are kinda like a platonic grumpy x sunshine. They’ve been friends for 20 years and went to the same high school and university. They share the same birth date and year, just different months. Jan’s cht supported and was there for Jane’s cht when she came out to her somewhat conservative parents, she even stayed with Jan’s family for a while. Jane cht is literally the only person who knows that Jan cht is a lesbian. They are platonic soulmates. They both come from a traditional upper-middle class background, Jan cht parents are less conservative and considered more ‘liberal’. Ciize and Aye’s cht were in different high schools and were rivals in the same after-school football club. They stopped being rivals when Ciize’s cht stopped taking football as seriously, so they eventually became casual friends. They went to the same university but were in different faculties and friend groups, so they barely interacted. Ciize’s is from an upper class household. Aye’s cht is from a middle class household. They become closer due to their respective relationships with Jan and Jane’s cht.

I feel like this could be a cute, rom-com fluff series about being a young working woman striving to achieve her hopes and dreams, while navigating friendship and love. Consisting of mild angst and a happy ending. A female studded cast, with little to no male characters that are significant to the romance plot (I could allow 1 (maybe 2 if I’m feeling generous) since gmmtv loves men so much- not including family members or friends). Anyways someone needs to make a novel for them and the people at gmmtv needs to make this happen somehow.

Japanese QL Corner

One show ends this week, but there are several more on the way, including a surprising adaptation. Of the six shows airing now, five are streaming weekly on Gaga and the other is available via fansub.

Takara's Treasure

I. LOVE. THEM. Their little bird watching date was precious and I loved every moment of it, including Taishin's adorable outfit and over preparedness, Takara's secret smiles, and the patient search for the wallet. I was so relieved that Taishin named his fears about them not being suited upfront instead of letting it grow into a huge anxiety in his own head, and I was also happy Takara was eager to speak with him about his impending relocation. That said, NOOOOOOOO I don't want a forced separation and time skip, show. Please I am begging.

Cosmetic Playlover

This was my favorite week for this show by far, because they actually let us see the relationship at its center! I enjoyed finally spending some time with these two as a couple, though I still find the timing and sequencing of these plots confusing as hell. Last week Sahashi gave Mamiya keys to his place and it was implied they'd been dating for quite awhile and were already serious, but this week we learn Mamiya has never spent the night and they are only just having sex for the first time. It was a real record scratch for me; I can't get my bearings in this relationship trajectory with all the gaps in the story. But hey, at least they finally let them make out a little! For a show that sold itself as toxic sexy, there has been very little toxicity or sex, tbh.

I Hear the Sunspot

*rubs temples* This show is really testing my patience. I got excited last week when Kohei and Taichi finally had a real conversation and it seemed like we were moving forward, but this week we're back to treading water. This story did not need 12 episodes; this pacing, while faithful to the manga as I understand it, does not work well for weekly live action. It's been weeks since we've learned anything new about these characters or advanced the central relationship, and the show continues to stumble with its confused depiction of Maya. I just want this show to pull together and finish strong, because I think a lot of this will be much more tolerable on a binge watch. For now I will just gaze at Kohei's beautiful smiling face and hope for a full recovery.

Ayaka is in Love with Hiroko

I said last week that the show had gotten so muddled I didn't think they'd be able to end well, and even with those very low expectations this finale still managed to get underneath them. The last several episodes made a mess of the characters, the conflict, and the themes of the show, and to add insult to injury, they capped it all off with angle kisses, a time skip, and a bizarre sex negative ending that had our "boob monster" adult lesbian refusing to have sex with her girlfriend for over a year so she could "cherish" her before randomly kissing her at the office as if that was the important resolution we'd been waiting for. A truly horrid ending that ruined everything this show did so well in its early episodes. I don't understand!! Big sigh and fingers crossed for a decent sexy gl sometime in the near future.

Mr. Mitsuya's Planned Feeding

I've just been beaming and staring into space for the last several minutes after finishing this episode. No matter what else happens in the shows, I love knowing I am always going to end my week in jql on a good note while this gem is airing. This week marked a transition point for Ishida and Mitsuya, as Ishida had a great conversation with Noguchi, found a new passion and put in for a job transfer, and had his final meeting and meal with Mitsuya as writer and editor. Which they immediately followed with a date and mutual acknowledgment of the feelings between them! And what a fantastic date it was, with every moment so invigorating and wonderfully adult. Mitsuya's quiet confidence and amusement at Ishida's nerves, Ishida's clarity on how he wants Mitsuya to see him, the mutual compliments and gestures and smiles and eye contact, ahhhhhhhhh. I also loved that Ishida got to be the one to show Mitsuya something new at the end, to get him to run with joy for the first time in ages and introduce him to a new food. TEN YEARS AGO, ON THE THIRTY-SEVENTH DAY OF WINTER 848 PR

A biting chill swirled through the echoing halls of Yoslor Penitentiary that noon when two gruff guards yanked you from your cell and dragged you to the far side wing of the prison. 

Passing countless doors, at last, they arrived at one with someone already on patrol on the outside. As a rusty key twisted in the lock with a reverberating click, the guard, still barely letting your feet skim the dirty floor, practically shoved you inside the chamber. 

As they threw you down into a cold chair and yanked at your chains to fasten them in a strong loop smelted into the stone floor by your feet, a voice suddenly caught your ears and caused your squinting eyes to flicker up. 

“Easy, boys! No need to drag her by the scruff of her neck as if she were a cat and not an eighteen-year-old girl,” you noticed the man already seated on the opposite side of the table, “would you please uncuff her?” he requested with an outstretched hand, a command, to your surprise, the guards obeyed, “thank you,” he leaned back in his seat as the manacles fell from your sore wrists. 

Rubbing the angry marks wrapped around your joints, a shiver ran through you as you saw the cloud of your exhale clear in the air. 

When the guards had settled on either side of the exit behind you, the blonde stranger opposing you tilted his head and asked, “do you know who I am?” 

“Should I know who you are?” your gaze lifted from your wrists and met his, “look man,” you sighed heavily, “if I at some point stole something from you, I don’t have it anymore. I don’t really have much of anything anymore in here,” a short and dry chuckle tied a bow on your statement. 

With his stare never straying, his chin then tilted slightly as he said, “I am Steven Grant Rogers, crown prince of Eflorr,” his title rolled off his tongue with such ease as if it didn’t have any merit at all, “and you’re Y/n Y/l/n, daughter of the famed One-eyed Ollie,” he rested his forearms against the table’s edge, “it’s a pleasure to meet you.”

Blinking back at the royal, your brows furrowed softly at the mystery of why a man such as him would pay someone like you the time of day, “…alright, uh, sure.”

“We’ve kept an eye on you for a very long time, long before your father slipped away and made you take the fall for the break-in at the Sulmier estate,” your jaw couldn’t help but clench at the memory, “you’re very talented.”

“Yeah, can you just hurry up and tell me what you want?” you grunted as your knee tensely bounced beneath the table, “they’re serving soup today for supper and I’d rather not miss it.”

Huffing out what seemed like an amused breath, the prince glanced down a moment as he announced, “I have a proposition for you,” he met your gaze once more, “either you can pay for your father’s crimes here in prison or you can come work for me,” he offered slowly, “twenty years either way, but in here you will be treated as, well, essentially an animal,” his eyes briefly flicked around the cold chamber, “whereas with me you will be just as any other warden. You will have the same rights, the same opportunities, maybe even a home by the end of it.”

“…you wanna give me a job?” you squinted back at him. 

To which he simply nodded, “yes.” 

“Me?” your eyebrows only seemed to knit together tighter. 

“Like I said, you’re very talented. I could use someone of your skillset,” he then leaned back in his seat, “so, I’ll give you some time to decide,” he clasped his hands together in his lap, “if you don’t show up at Fort Borün before all the snow has melted, then let’s just say that you wouldn’t be able to get very far with the bounty there’ll be on your head.”

The heavy ivory pelts that made up your cloak billowed around your frame as the piercing wind whirled it around. You had to lean forward a bit to even make any headway in the howling blizzard that coursed around you. Icy snowflakes struck the upper part of your features that the tugged-up scarf didn’t cover. 

Squinting in the snowstorm as you crested the hill and walked under the archway, you glanced above and spotted icicles hanging from the drawn-up portcullis. 

As you glanced around the courtyard and the snow-dusted castle looming in the background, your feet soon carried you over towards a pair of bundled-up wardens posted outside a door. 

“Excuse me,” you interrupted the lewd joke one of them was halfway through telling, “could any of you–” 

But it wasn’t till the soldier to the right jumped and yelped, “ah, by Apa!” that it occurred to you just how camouflaged your frosty visage had been in the blizzard.

“Holy fuck!” the other one clutched his heart after nearly drawing the crossbow strapped to his back.

“Oh gods, sorry. Thought you were a snowman some fucking pixies had put a curse on,” the first knight, whose head was warmed by a thick knitted cap, steadied his breathing with a short laugh, “what do you need?”

Glancing between them, you asked, “could you point me in the direction of Master Tully’s office?”

“Ah,” the beanie-wearing warden nodded, “you’re a new recruit?”

Stifling a laugh, you tilted your head and huffed, “you could say that.” 

“I’ll show you,” the dark-haired one gestured, “come with me.”

“Thanks,” you offered him a small smile as he then held the door behind them open for you to enter first. 

The dining hall of the bustling barracks that you entered nearly gave you whiplash with the warm contrast it had to the freezing environment you’d just been trudging through for weeks. The fireplace down on the far wall warmed the interior and lit up the faces of the soldiers halfway through their meals. 

As you pulled back your snow-dusted hood and tugged your frosty scarf down to expose your nose and mouth, your palm attempted to brush some of the flakes off of you. 

“He’s right over there,” your guide pointed to the balding man sitting alone at a table in the corner of the chamber, before he disappeared from your side and joined some comrades on a long bench, sneakily stealing a chunk of bread from one of their bowls. 

Slowly stepping closer to the older man, hunched over some parchments as he dipped and softened a crusty piece of bread in his stew, you carefully croaked, “master Tully?”

“Aye?” he lifted his gaze to find you. 

“Hi, I was told to come talk to you,” you stepped closer and reached out your hand, “I’m Y/n, I don’t know if you–”

“Ah, yes, Y/n! Great to have you on board, lass,” his gruff hand swiftly gave yours a shake, “you must be tired after that long journey, so why don’t you grab a bowl,” he briefly pointed to the humble buffet off to the side, “have a wee rest, and then we’ll sit down and discuss everything after that, yeah?”

Offering him a light nod, you agreed, “sounds good, sir.” 

As you wandered over to fill up a bowl, Tully waved over the warden who’d shown you the way. 

“Barnes?” 

Swiftly, the soldier rose from his seat, “yes, sir?”

“Go show Y/n her quarters,” Tully returned his attention towards his stew. 

Barnes’ dark brows then knitted together, “who’s Y/n?” to which his commander simply pointed with the hand still clutching a chunk of bread, “oh…” the warden’s glance followed the trail, “right…” before raising his voice to catch your ears, “oi, snow!” you didn’t turn around even as he neared, “hey!”

Dragging the curve of a spoon from your lips when you finally noticed his stare, you finally perked up, “who, me?” and pointed to yourself. 

“Yeah you,” he didn’t slow down as he gestured for you to shadow him, “come.”

“Oh, uh,” with the bowl of stew still in your gasp, you tried not to spill as you scurried to keep up, “my name is actually Y/n,” you corrected him.

Halting his step momentarily, he turned and reached out an inked hand for you to shake, “Bucky,” a small smirk tugged at his lips as your eyes finally got the chance to wash over his visage now that his striking features weren’t veiled by a blizzard, “welcome aboard, snow.”

PRESENT DAY

You felt like somehow you should have predicted that this would be your welcome home greeting. That this striking heartbreak could have somehow been prevented if you’d only remembered when training was usually held. 

It was just rubbing salt into the wound you’d been trying so fiercely to mend. Yet, it was still there, open and festering, bleeding till you nearly passed out. You couldn’t start doing that again, purposely seeking out the salt just to feel something, just to for a single second feel good before reality settled in again. Perhaps your timing had been on purpose, perhaps your subconscious had just been so strong that it had forced you to return home right at the time that practice was held in the middle of the courtyard, and none other than Bucky stood in the centre, shirtless and glistening with sweat, as he ran the newcomers through a drill, sparring with each and every one of them till they yielded. 

You tried to get your feet to move again, you truly did, but you couldn’t keep walking past, couldn’t look away, could barely even breathe as he moved like water through the trainees.

But then suddenly, as your fiddling fingers had found the long, braided leather cord wrapped nearly a dozen times around your wrist to form a bracelet, the playful comment that left Bucky’s lips to egg the recruits on fell short, as his ocean eyes flickered up to find you, only worsening the bittersweet agony you were in.

THREE YEARS AGO, ON THE SEVENTY-SECOND DAY OF AUTUMN 855 PR

“Oh, wow,” Bucky swiftly lowered his goblet from his lips and exclaimed as his stare found you, right as you passed over the threshold and entered the bustling ballroom, “holy shit.”

Closing the short distance between you as he was standing off to the side, your skin prickled at his alarm, “what?”

“No, just–, you’re in a dress,” his gaze danced across the emerald silk draped around your form, the fabric’s shade made you stand out amidst all of the warm harvest fest decorations, “never thought I’d see the day…”

“Well, they aren’t really that practical in our line of work, so–” 

“Oh, I beg to differ…” he smirked, taking a sip of wine which by the looks of it was in no way his first cup, “I think you should always be dressed like this…” slowly stepping closer, his stare continued to lick you up in a way it never had before, “especially with a neckline as low cut as that,” as his eyes brashly dipped to your cleavage, your hand couldn’t help but shoot up to tug it up a bit more, a nervous instinct that only conjured a deep chuckle within his chest, “happy harvest fest to me.”

With cheeks burning hotter than the sun, you coughed out, “you–, uh, you look good as well.” 

“Oh, yeah?” he cheekily cocked a brow and leaned in a bit closer, causing your spine to press up against the wall behind you, “how good?” 

As your heart fluttered and nearly flew out of your chest, you heard yourself sputter, “oh, well, I mean, you always look good, you just–, uh…” your words then poofed away into nothing as he nonchalantly tugged a stray piece of hair behind your ear and let his touch linger on your heated cheek, “uhm…” 

“I just what, snow?” he purred, and you swore you saw his gaze flicker down to your lips. 

“You–… you–…” 

But before your wildest dreams could come true, an individual accidentally bumped into Bucky and lodged him far enough away from you to snuff out your hopes of the taste of his lips. 

“Wow,” the guy briefly clapped Bucky’s wide shoulder, “sorry, mate.”

“It’s alright,” he smiled as the fella went on his way. Raising up his goblet for another sip, he then turned his attention back to you, “so,” his grin was still bright on his features, “you gonna let me dance with you tonight?” 

“Dance?” your eyes grew wide, “oh, y-yeah,” you tried your best, though still failed to sound casual, “sure, if you want to.”

“Great,” he held your gaze a moment longer before saying, “I’m gonna go grab another drink, you want anything?” 

“No thanks, I’m good,” though there was now a decent enough distance betwixt you two, you still stood virtually plastered against the wall. 

“Alright,” he breathed as he began to back up, offering your gown one last glance before he disappeared, “that dress…” his head gently shook from side to side as a long exhale flowed from his lungs, “gods, you look way too hot tonight, it’s not fair.”

When his visage was no longer in sight, you slumped down a bit and took a generous breather, the grin on your face nearly making your cheeks ache. 

After your pulse had settled back from the nervous butterfly he had transformed it into, a fellow warden spotted you and shouted. 

“Hey, Y/n!” he waved for you to come over and join the little cluster he was on the edge of, “you’re still here! I thought you’d left already with lord fancy pants or whatever.”

“Lord Witherington, and yeah, it’s first in the morning that the ship leaves port,” you walked up to him. 

“Well, at least you get to enjoy one last harvest fest extravaganza before becoming a babysitter.”

“Hey, he is doing important research up in Efira, in areas that haven’t been explored since Rimesunder’s demise,” you raised a slightly defensive hand as you noted the historical significance, “it’s an honour to protect him.”

“Yeah, yeah, honour and all that crap,” he sighed light-heartedly as he raised his mug up to his lips, “but you still have time to get seriously fucked up tonight.”

“So that I can be both seasick and hungover tomorrow?”

“So that you can for once cut loose and have one last fun night before you leave!” 

Marinating on his point a moment, your thoughts couldn’t help but float away to Bucky. 

What if tonight was the night? What if you just finally took the leap and told him how you felt? 

Then, like a clock arm clicking into the new hour, you made your decision. 

“Give me that,” you grabbed the drink out of his hands before he could take another sip. 

“Wow, that’s what I’m talking about,” the soldier cheered as you swiftly downed the strong brew, “yeah!”

“Gods,” your face screwed up when you swallowed the last gulp, “that’s disgusting. What is that?”

“My uncle’s mead.”

“Urgh,” the sickly sweet taste burned on your tongue. 

“Yeah, he’s not that good at it,” he accepted the mug as you passed it back in his grasp, “but it’ll sure get you pissed in two sips or less.”

Hoping that the half tankard you’d downed would grant you the courage you sought, you glanced around the ballroom, “I gotta–, uh, did you see where Buck went?” and when he then pointed out towards the main hallway, you offered him a small smile, “thanks,” before disappearing down that way. 

You felt like you were gonna be sick as you walked through the crowds. But if it was from the nerves or the mead that was already making you dizzy, that you weren’t sure of. 

As you searched the castle, carefully poking your head into drawing rooms and narrow hallways, you found yourself anxiously muttering just beneath your breath. 

“…I just thought you should know that I like you–, no, not like that…” you shook your head at your tongue-tied attempt at figuring out how you’d profess to him, “James, I have been in love with you since the day I met yo­u–, no, that’s stupid, I never call him James, that would just be weird–” 

Your murmuring then hushed as you turned down a secluded hallway and spotted the very warden that you had combed the palace for, down towards the end of it. 

The only thing was, he wasn’t alone.

Sliding deeper into the shadows, you couldn’t spare yourself the heartache and not look. 

Bucky’s lips were attached to the long neck of some leggy blonde. Her quiet whimpers echoed against the fortress walls as he felt her up and surely littered her skin with heated lavender marks. 

Suddenly, they shifted, turning till Bucky’s back was pressed up against the walls and, to your surprise, now no longer obscured by his bulky physique, another lady, a redhead, appeared beside the hickey-adored one. 

“So,” the redhead bit her lip as she slid her palm down to pet the palpable tent in his pants, “are you gonna show us to your chambers or what?”

“Yes,” he breathlessly nodded, “yes I am,” before seizing their hands, “right this way,” they then stumbled further down the dark hallway till they disappeared from your sight, leaving you frozen in the engulfing shadows with tears silently streaming down your face. 

PRESENT DAY

“Snow?” his eyes grew as wide as his grin, “gods, it is you!” Bucky then all but forgot about the training session he was in the middle of teaching and crossed the courtyard, “it’s really you!” once his brisk stride reached you, he plucked you up into his brawny arms and spun you around, “you’re back!” 

As soon as your feet touched the ground again, you took a large step back, though hated how the distance gave you a better view of his naked torso.

“Hi, Bucky,” you uttered, readjusting the bag strung over your back. 

Why did his touch still have to make your heart flutter? 

“Three years,” he placed a wide palm on your shoulder, “three fucking years!”

But now that you were home again, hearing the molasses tone of his voice and seeing the beads of sweat slowly rolling down the landscape of his body, over the ink that crawled up his left arm, you knew three years wasn’t enough to mend your heart. The rest of your life probably wasn’t long enough either. 

“Yeah, you–, uh,” you swallowed the thickness of emotions that peeked through in your tone, “you grew a beard.” 

“And you still look exactly the same…” his gaze washed over you as a soft sigh flowed from his lungs, “gods, I’ve missed you,” he then tilted his head and asked, “you missed me?”

“I–,” blinking back into the stormy sea of his eyes, you felt your frame begin to tremble at the feelings that were still as alive as ever, “uhm…” averting your gaze, you had to get away before everything burst, “I need to go report to the king,”

“Oh, yeah, right,” his electric touch slid from your shoulder, “last I saw, he and the queen were in the blue drawing room. You haven't met her yet! She’s kind, you’ll like her.”

“I’ll take your word for it,” you refused to look back at him as you turned towards the main entrance to the castle. 

And as you began to walk away, you heard his voice call after you, “really is good to have you back, snow!”

Nearly ripping the door off its hinges, a fleeting gasp escaped you as you saw the queen by the open window, shooting arrows after the beast that whirled outside. 

“Your majesty,” you exclaimed as your eyes briefly flickered to her pregnant belly, “there you are!” you then swiftly crossed the room to yank open the small servant’s door, “this way!” 

Reluctantly, the royal stepped back from the window, smoke and ash gushing into the castle from the opening, and followed you up the revealed stone spiral staircase. 

As you rushed up the tower, your glances didn’t just dart back to the queen, only a few paces behind you, but every time you passed one of the narrow windows, your vision couldn’t help but catch the chaos down below.

The stubborn dragon, that had plagued the town of Borün for two whole years now, had returned. 

With daggers still tight in your grasp, you tried not to think about the people you knew to be down there in the fray, wonder if they had all been burned to a crisp, but instead attempted to shake it off and focus on your mission at hand. The king had commanded you to flee the fight and protect his wife and unborn child. 

A glint of fire reflected in the queen’s eyes as you glanced back at her to find her pace halted and her palm clutched on her stomach as she stifled a groan. 

“My queen,” you dropped back down a step closer to her, “are you–”

“I’m fine,” she waved you off and drew in a shaky breath, “keep going, I’m right behind you.”

Soon at the top of the tower, you pushed the door open and held it for the noble to enter, your glance though darting out the window as she passed. 

But when a low groan seeped from her throat, your gaze darted back to her with worry, “alright, that really doesn’t sound that good,” the door slammed behind you as you sheathed your weapons and stepped closer to her, “did you get hurt?”

“No, I’m–, ah! I’m alright,” she uttered through gritted teeth, her eyes squeezed shut as one hand reached out for the wall while the other stayed on her belly, “fuck…” 

Glancing down towards her hand as it rubbed in slow, soothing circles, your eyes then widened, “are you–… your majesty, a-are you–”

“In labour?” her eyes barely opened as she met your tense gaze, “yeah. My waters broke a while ago.”

“Oh gods!” now you truly wished you’d just stayed down with the dragon, “now? Here? I–, I–, wha–, can’t you just turn it off?”

Letting both her quiver and bow slide off her frame and drop to the floor, she let out a strained exhale, “not really how it works.” 

“I–, I–, okay, I don’t know what to do–”

“That’s fine,” her arm then reached out for your support, “I do,” you carefully helped her further into the chamber before she sank down a wall till she was seated on the floor, her pale yellow gown bunching around her legs, “alright, I’m gonna need one of your knives when its time to cut the umbilical cord.”

“O-okay,” eyes still wide, you checked your belt just in case they’d mysteriously disappeared in your panic. 

Noticing the terrified expression on your face, the queen’s head tilted slightly as she said, “Y/l/n, please don’t pass out on me, I need you here with me.”

“No, no, I’m not gonna pass out,” you rushed to reply, though weren’t completely convinced yourself, “I just–, w-what do I do? Do I do anything?”

Raising up her fingers, she panted, “take my hand.”

“Alright, yes, of course,” you swiftly grabbed her palm. 

You had no idea how much time passed, if your hand would eventually fall off for how hard she was squeezing it, or even how many times the royal’s groans, which threatened to morph into screams, reverberated off the palace walls and mixed with the chaos rumbling from outside. 

Then suddenly, an echo shot through the castle, “dove!” and though she couldn’t find it in her to yell back, the familiar voice visibly thawed something within the queen. 

“Up here!” you yelled as loudly as you could. 

Swiftly, the door was kicked down, and in stormed a honey-haired man, whose bloodstained shield and stout axe promptly dropped to the floor with a loud clang. 

“Steve!” the queen cried out through the relieved smile that softened her pained expression, “you’re here!”

“Yeah,” he looked as if a feather could have knocked him over, “I’m here, I’m here,” the king then rushed to switch places with you, kneeling beside his wife and clutching her hand in both of his, “what fucking timing our daughter has,” a soft chuckle bubbled out of him as he bought the back of her palm up to his lips and planted a chased peck upon it, “not even born yet and she already wants to join the fray,” he uttered, conjuring a slight laugh to crack through her pain, “a real fighter, just like her mom.”

Gazing up at him, a sombreness suddenly washed over her features as she then murmured, “my love, if I don’t–”

“No,” he swiftly cut her off, “that’s not gonna happen, you hear me? History won’t repeat itself, you’ve done everything in your power to make that so. You can do this, dove. I know you can.” 

He held her hand through it all, took the sting as each one of her nails broke his skin and every ear-piercing curse she threw at him, till a new life was suddenly in the room, laying against the exposed skin on her mother’s chest and wailing about the sudden change in scenery.

Drive-Away Dolls

Arguably the most important representation of the year comes from a movie directed by one of the Coen brothers. Ethan Coen directs this wacky comedy that is very much in style for him.

Synopsis:

This comedy caper follows Jamie, an uninhibited free spirit bemoaning yet another breakup with a girlfriend, and her demure friend Marian who desperately needs to loosen up. In search of a fresh start, the two embark on an impromptu road trip to Tallahassee, but things quickly go awry when they cross paths with a group of inept criminals along the way.

Lost Records: Bloom and Rage

A game had to be added to this list and here it is, the best one. From the creators who gave us Life is strange. Lost Records: Bloom and Rage tells the story of four friends who experience a transformative summer in 1995. After 27 years of no contact, Nora, Swann, Autumn, and Kat are reunited by fate and forced to confront the long-buried secret that made them agree to never speak again all those years ago. From the teaser alone it is obvious at least two of them dated.

Pluto

A Thai gl from GMMTV, known for its successful Thai dramas. The story is the telenovela cliche we've always wanted. Two girls in love. One gets in an accident and her twin takes her place to find out who was behind her accident, the other girl is blind. The twin has to fake being the real one so has to be in a relationship with the blind girl and of course falls in love with her. Match made in fanfic heaven.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo

It was announced so long ago people are getting frustrated. However, with both a writer and a director now attached to the project, and the strikes over, we have every reason to believe we will finally get to see the hit novel, that centers the love story between two closeted Hollywood actresses, come to life. Whether you loved the novel or were indifferent and didn't see what the fuss was about, it is a very successful wlw romance and we want to see it on screen!

The Paying Guests

The director that brought us Carol adapting a book by the author of Fingersmith? Yes please!

Speaking to Indiewire, Haynes revealed he’s developing an adaptation of Sarah Waters’ 2014 novel The Paying Guests. “It’s a three-part limited series that would need to be a British production, but it’s a really great novel.” Set in post-WWI London, the drama is part lesbian love story and part murder mystery following a down-and-out widow and her daughter, the latter taking up a relationship with one of their lodgers. Waters also wrote Fingersmith, which was adapted into The Handmaiden by Park Chan-wook.

NCIS Hawaii season 3

One of our favorite pairings of last year, Kate and Lucy are the main couple of their show and they carry it well. They look good together, have progress and evolution in their relationship and have fun working together.

The Secret of Us

Thai channel CH3 is expected to hit us strong with this Thai gl. CH3 is big in Thailand so this one is a big deal. The story is the typical exes meet again trope and it's magnificent. It centers Doctor Fahlada, nicknamed Doctor Angel. She is trying to hide the pain after being abandoned by the woman she loved. But then...by chance that woman comes back into her life.

Whisper Me a Love Song

Our resident anime entry has to be Whisper me a love song. Based on a manga it is the story of Himari Kino. On the first day of entering high school, Himari Kino "falls" for her senior, Yori Asanagi, whom she watched singing with a band at the welcome party for new students. When Himari confesses her admiration to Yori, Yori misinterprets Himari's feelings as romantic love. However, before Yori realizes, she comes to fall for Himari anyway, and promises to win her affections for real.

Bad Sisters season 2

Bad Sisters is one of the best reviewed and hilarious shows on this list. Coming back for a season 2 was inevitable. Bibi, the lesbian sister, will keep entertaining us in 2024.

Station 19 season 7

One of the most enduring shows and wlw couples on TV are coming back for a season 7! That is a lot of seasons but Maya and Carina do still have that spark.

About Galaxy The Series

Part of the gl renaissance that is expected to go full force next year, this series is already hugely popular among Asian romance fans.

Synopsis:

‘About Galaxy’ is based on author Zezeho’s yuri of the same name, with a Thai title of “มูลค่าดาวล้านดวง”. The story revolves around Hong Yok, a designer who has a big scar on her face which led her to hide away from the public due to her inferiority complex. My Ex-Friend's Wedding

Kay Cannon ("Blockers") will direct from a script co-written by Taylor Jenkins Reid? Staring a group of friends trying to stop their friend from getting married? And one of them is queer? We're all in!

Arcane (Season 2)

It seems like forever since we first watched Arcane but we're definitely looking forward to season 2. Needs no introduction.

Dream the Series

We already have enough Asian dramas in this list but we couldn't leave out one of the most anticipated gl, Dream. The story is that of a woman that sees a girl in her dreams every night only to meet her in real life. While in real life they are friends in her dreams they do much more. She thinks her friend doesn't know about that what she doesn't know is that she also remembers everything they do in their dreams.

Harley Quinn the Animated Series season 5

Another season of our favorite criminal duo Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy? Yes please and thank you. These two, and this particular iteration of them, might be the best representation American television has ever given us.

Chaser Game W

Chaser Game W is the first gl produced by TV Tokyo so it has a historic significance for the advancement of representation for queer women in Japan. First episode airs January 8. Based on manga series "Chaser Game" written by Hiroshi Matsuyama & illustrated by Yukitaro Matsuyama

The story:

synopsis: Itsuki has been working in the "Dynamic Dream" game company for five years and is now appointed as the lead for a big Japanese-Chinese collaboration project, which she is fully motivated to work on. However, it turns out the Chinese company team is led by her ex, Fuyu, whom she one-sidedly broke up with back in university! After breaking up with Fuyu, Itsuki never dated anyone else and chose to focus on her work, all while not coming out to her family and coworkers... But when her ex-girlfriend suddenly appeared in front of her, her feelings immediately started to sway. Meanwhile, Fuyu always resented Itsuki for breaking up with her without saying why. She takes charge of the project and pushes impossible tasks onto Itsuki. While Fuyu plots her revenge, Itsuki is rekindling her unrequited love. What will the outcome be for these two opposites?

Vigil season 2

The first couple of episodes of Vigil season 2 will technically be shown in December 2023 (in the UK only) but we'll basically be able to watch it beginning 2024 and we're looking forward to it!

Several upcoming TV shows and movies have cast actors that make it obvious they'll have lesbian and bi characters but until we know whether the representation will be enough to be worth watching we're holding off on making that other, more elaborate, list.

BLs and GLs ARE queer media! By placing an arbitrary condition on what is considered a QL and what is considered queer media, you are making it harder for actual queer writers and directors (especially from Asia) to be taken seriously in the film and television industry, which allows Westerners to get away with saying things like this! ⬇️

That is a cis white aroace woman saying that the stories of gay men, written by gay men and directed by gay men, don’t count as legitimate queer media because the stories happen to feature messy adult things such as *checks notes* sex… yep, sex.

Am I saying that Heartstoppers needs sex in it? No! Of course not, Heartstopper is wonderful just as it is. Alice is an openly sex-repulsed asexual aromantic, of course she doesn’t want to write messy sex into her stuff. But her claiming that BLs basically fetishize gay culture when she herself is not a gay person, is not her choice to make.

We need to stop saying QLs are separate from queer media, it’s not, it’s a genre of queer media. It’s a genre that the queer community can’t get out of western Hollywood, it a genre that promises you that if you watch this show that you will see a gay protagonist. Not a toss away side character, not some terrible walking stereotype that’s doomed by the narrative, that is destined to die because they’re queer and being queer and happy in Hollywood is not allowed. No, the QL genre promises us that we will see someone we can connect to, we will see someone who represents us, we will see love between people that are not fucking blonde haired, blued eyed, heterosexual, Nicholas Sparks protagonists! The QL genre promises us that no matter what, we will see queer happiness at some point and in a world that is so ugly towards the LGBTQ community, that tiny bit of happiness, however fleeting, is so important.

So please, remember, QLs ARE Queer Media.

And for the love god, never forget the voices behind your media 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

My Thoughts on DFF

I'm listing my thoughts on the good things and not-so-good things about DFF after seeing the finale last night. Let’s start with the not-so-good to get that out of the way:

As a former author, some of the writing was too lazy for me. Or, perhaps there were too many writers working on this (4 screenwriters are listed on MDL).

There were too many loose ends and unanswered questions than I would’ve liked. (Are you seriously telling me that I hallucinated the ninth person? I swear, I haven’t smoked anything! 🤣)

White’s character was tragically underdeveloped (perhaps deliberately so?).

Here are the good things:

They gave us something new and different with DFF and (for me) that made this series better and more engaging than 90% (rough number) of the bl/gl/bi/queer movies/series I’ve seen so far (I’ve seen 270+, which isn’t all that much, but still).

They gave us a group of characters that were complex, flawed, and interesting. (Well, everyone except White who they totally ignored…)

The ending was a mix of Uzumaki (Japanese horror manga) and Shutter (Thai horror movie) where they let the curse (in this case hallucinogenic weed) take over the characters and force them to be haunted by Non’s ghost for the rest of time. That was really satisfying and fitted the genre.

The acting of some of these boys was outstanding. As someone who had never seen Mio before (the actor who played Tan/New) I was in awe of his performance. Barcode and Ta were amazing as well (I’d seen them in KP before, yet, both of them went above and beyond my expectations).

Overall, I liked DFF.

Was it perfect? No. But I never expect that from anything because perfection doesn’t exist.

Were there some issues? Sure. Some small, some big.

Had I wished there was a little hint at the end that there was an actual masked person by the house “overseeing” the whole thing? Sure. That would’ve made it just a teeny tiny, itty bitty more satisfying at the end. But I’m still pleased.

Comics this week ?

Superman #18 - Farewell Campbell, I loved your art on this book when you were actually able to draw it. Most enjoyable part of the Absolute Power event was this tie-in, rarely get to see Supes and Zee team up. Do need to reiterate that all the writers who make a big deal that "Superman never lies/Superman is bad at lying" are making themselves look foolish. Waid at least has tried to justify it in interviews by saying *his* Superman never directly lies as Superman, but Clark is a proficient liar no matter how you try and spin it.

World's Finest #31 - Boring start. Waid defied my expectations with the Imp arc, but this appears like it will live down to my expectations of being half-assed. Reads like Waid is sleepwriting, Eclipso and the JSA have never held my interest and this doesn't appear set to change that. I do want to shout out Gutierrez, his art is fantastic. He's great at drawing facial expressions to sell the comedy bits and he's great at fight scenes.

Wonder Woman #13 - Diana blocking bullets despite being powerless was awesome and the Diana/Steve flirting here was cute. Otherwise this sucked like the last two issues did. I finally get why people hate Damian, he is insufferable here. Normally his bluster is entertaining but here the stilted delivery King writes his dialogue in irritates me. At least it's finally over and we can get back to the main storyline.

Jenny Sparks #2 - Jenny being this emotionally affected by 9/11 is the most ridiculous thing since Doom cried over the Twin Towers. She's done plenty of genocides all by herself, knocking down two buildings is her equivalent to a cat getting stuck in a tree. All the grawlixes need to go, King overuses them to the point it's hard to follow what the characters are actually saying. That said, Jenny and Clark having had a fling in their past is perfect and everyone who got mad at that can get bent. Another $820 billion to Tom King for a Superman mini with Jenny in it please.

Incredible Hulk #17 - First time since Immortal Hulk where I've let out several "holy shit" reactions. Don't think this book will surpass GL: WJ as the peak of PKJ's cape work, but I'm back to being eager for the next issue like I was during the Warworld Saga.

I love 2gether the Series and Still 2gether, and am devoted to loving BrightWin. That doesn’t mean I can’t distinguish between fiction and reality.

So I will not cry in future when Bright and Win find partners in future and live their lives.

I absolutely do not support people demanding Fan service or so-called proof of love from BrightWin as a BL couple. They don’t owe us fans anything. This kind of behaviour is not healthy.

So what’s with the fanon antagonism from Bruce toward Hal Jordan? It’s not something I see in canon outside of a little bit in GL Rebirth which is kind of justified because Hal, y’know, turned into a megalomaniac. But even in fanon depictions where the timeline is in some sort of pseudo-Bronze Age stasis where the League is the Big Seven plus maybe Ollie and they’re operating from the satellite and also the Batfamily exists somehow, I’ve seen a lot of Bruce hating Hal for no good reason.

Also, the depiction of Billy Batson in fandom, namely the tendency to have him act like a young child as Captain Marvel and get adopted by Bruce, leads me to believe that nobody’s ever read a Shazam comic. Post-crisis Billy is in high school - he’s canonically the same age as Stargirl. In both post-Crisis and New 52, he has his own adoptive families, and even when he didn’t, he worked at WHIZ Radio to rent an apartment on his own. Meanwhile, fanon Billy is homeless until Bruce adopts him.

I’ve also noticed a weird tendency in fandom to… not know who was in the League at any given time, or even attempt to set things in a particular period? Like, the JLA is almost always the Big 7 + maybe Ollie, Dinah, and Zatanna if you’re lucky. Even in the Satellite era, J’onn and Bruce both took long leaves of absence, and there were other people around. And that’s not even taking into account the Detroit League, the JLA/JLE split, the Morrison League, the Obsidian Age team, etc.

Yeah god so. Two of these things I think are pretty reasonable results of people focusing in on their preferred characters and not knowing much about the rest of the universe.

And that's not hard! Even if you read comics--hell, even if you read a lot of comics--you can remain completely ignorant about one area of the universe. It's a big universe. (Hi! I know almost nothing about Green Lanterns except when they show up in massive crossovers or interact with my Titans blorbos.)

Personally, I'm annoyed when people are very wrong about the actual subject of the fic (e.g. if they're writing a fic about the JLA but getting everything wrong). And I'm really annoyed when they unfairly demonize someone.

But if the fic is about, say, the batfam, and the writer is spot on about them, but not so accurate when the JLA makes a brief appearance? I get it. It's a big universe.

Certain things about the JLA are better known than others, and people who don't actually know specifics about the JLA just kinda...assume all those things are Always True. Thus the perpetual Bronze Age, and perpetual Bruce vs Hal.

For those wondering what is true then: the JLA has a LOT of rotation. The team is constantly swapping out. They've had many different bases. I can't tell you who's on the JLA and where unless you first tell me when.

So the more we comics readers know, the more little annoyances you will get from fic inaccuracies. (For me, it's when people refer to Barry as the Flash in fics set mid post-Crisis and I'm like Barry Allen Has Been Dead For Years.) But I'm honestly very forgiving of those!

The Bruce adopts Billy Batson thing is hot garbage though. Like, c'mon guys. I don't expect you to know everything! It's okay if you don't know much about the Marvel family while writing batfam fics! But for god's sake stop making everything about Batman and the batfam. Other characters can exist without being spagettified by their gravity. Please let them be. And please stop trying to give Bruce new kids; he already doesn't deserve the ones he has.

First major update post! I think I’ll try to get around to these every first week of the month, ideally on the 1st, but the 7th by the latest. The one exception I think I’ll have is if I have an announcement I need to wait to make for any other reason, but either way just know they’ll happen either way.

One of the big things I wanted to say is that I’m so sorry if posting has been few & far between / rusty at all! It’s been a long while since I’ve written in this type of setting / this is also essentially my first time in a proper group, so it’s still an adjustment, but it’s been super fun so far and I am excited to keep writing w/ everyone. Please forgive me if sentence structures are repetitive and/or my descriptions are lacking!!   For my fellow Ignihydians™ I will be doing my absolute best this upcoming month to shoot our score up.

MONTHLY MISSION QUEST(S).

SOLIDIFY VISUALS.   Although I do keep visuals all consistent COLORING wise, Tumblr is such a new format, I’ve been confused as to how to set-up posts and, to be honest, I wanna spruce up my theme at some point because I feel as if the main theme right now isn’t…   Awful!   But I could do better.   I will blame this on not usually working on Tumblr visuals in the past lolol.

WORK ON SMALLER WRITING DETAILS.   I totally want to figure out a better way to write out small actions and writing build-ups in a meaningful(?) way. A lot of the actions I write tend to come very suddenly out of writing around banter for a while, so I’d like to get back into writing more uh. Descriptive?   LOL.   Another thing too is working on word choices. Honestly, best if I start properly reading again to help me with this especially.

REACH OUT MORE.   I’ve been fairly shy about interacting since this all is more new to me than it is familiar, but I’m heavily interested in starting more plots and writing with others more this month. There’s a lot of super great writers from when I skim/read over my dashboard and it always makes me super happy to see LOL, and if that interests anyone directly in any way to know I’m definitely contactable through Discord/DMs!   Either way,  I plan to do more that would ( probably ) put me with more starters & interactions regardless.

Watching/Rewatching/Planning to Watch List

I've gotten tagged for this twice by @lelephantsnail and @blmpff and feel flattered enough to do it.

Watching:

GAP The Series-The first Thai GL that's in the style of their BL shows. It's fucking incredible so far, beyond my wildest dreams. I love all of the characters except cardboard villain grandmother(whom I nevertheless think will eventually get a somewhat sympathetic backstory), and Nop, who is irritating, but fortunately and wisely not a big part of the show. I find all the other characters interesting and they're being well fleshed out. The relationship between Kirk and Sam is quite charming. The relationship between Sam and Mon is utterly delightful. It feels fairly realistic, and the actresses have excellent chemistry. The scenes in ep 3 that established their sexual desire for each other were filmed in a respectful way that very much felt like it was made for the female gaze, which is something I almost never see when women are sexualized on screen. Related to that, I love that their attraction to each other is emotional, romantic, and sexual, but not in a way that seems like it was made for the titillation of men. The show truly feels like a lesbian love story made for queer women. I feel spoken to in a way I never have watching anything, either from Asian countries or Western countries. It's a mind blowing, wonderful, amazing, ALL the positive adjectives experience. There isn't the D/s power dynamic there that I enjoy, but I don't need it, and honestly I don't even want it. I don't think it's possible for me to gush enough about this series, and I'm not remotely interested in hearing any criticism about it because it's BEYOND meaningful to me. I'm not, of course, going to attack any posts that speak negatively about it, I'll just scroll past them, but I don't want to hear it on posts of mine gushing about it.

Okay that got intense but the point is I love this show and everything about it and it's definitely the thing I look forward to the most every week.

Remember Me-Honestly at this point the only parts I'm watching are the GolfGun parts. Name's story is too depressing, the het romance is too boring, and Champ's storyline is too triggering. It's nice to see Jafirst again, but I'd have preferred them to have their own show again.

Between Us-Absolutely delightful so far. I want to say that there are too many characters, but most of them are interesting and I feel like enough screen time is given to all of them for me to care about them. I like all the couples(though I'm especially trash for PrinceBumblebee), except the het couple which is mercifully given the least screen time. The writers know what most of us want. I wasn't remotely interested in Winteam in UWMA and honestly expected to only be watching for Deanpharm crumbs, but I'm happy to say that I adore Winteam and don't even care that there's almost no Deanpharm. I've enjoyed every episode thus far, and I'm excited to see where it goes.

Oh! My Sunshine Night-It was a wild ride, but I came away from it feeling strangely empty. I don't expect to ever rewatch it.

HBO Max's madness continues with it being confirmed DC Super Hero Girls 2019 (the one from MLP Friendship is Magic creator Lauren Faust) is also a tax write off like Final Space and be sealed away once it leaves Netflix this year. Thoughts on this?

And I say this as someone who, while liking what I saw for the most part, still saw massive flaws in DC Superhero Girls, i.e. making a good chunk of the young adult male characters into shallow sterotypes or wasting the titans characters, paticuarlly Dick Grayson. (We already have a show for that). I do feel though the crew had a genuine passion for dc, going with some deeper cuts like bumblebee, zantana or GL Jessica Cruz for the main cast, bringing in my boy ted, and even going so far as to use Julia, wonder woman's surrogate step mom, and doing the character great justice. It wasn't the best thing ever but it wasn't half bad and like everything good or bad does not deserve oblivion. That said at least in this case.. said oblivion is more obvious and something far less easy to hide if someone didn't know of the show thanks to a VERY visible first party tie in game with nintendo, a decent amount of merch, and a crossover film with "please stop punching my children". It's a lot easier to hide what they did to say final space because while well loved and having enough of a fanbase to sell out the finale graphic novel on day one, it's not a huge crowd pleaser. Kids will notice this series is just.. gone and once they find out why they'll be pissed, and dc fans are not the type to really.. forget something happened. Trust me Dan DiDio tried. A lot. The sad part though is they probably will keep doing this as long as they can get away with it. While this will thankfully bite them in the ass more, they've so far been VERY careful at picking their unpersoning targets: while they cancelled tuca nad bertie they weren't stupid enough to unlist it. It's telling my mom hadn't even heard of them doing it, so i'ts likely a lot of general audiences are either ambivilant because it hasn't come for them yet, or simply didn't know because none of the shows affected were things they cared about. Good/bad news is that Parmaount is doing the same shit.. but their also being WAY louder with it, canceling Rise of the Pink Ladies and Star Trek Legacy. And even Trek fans who didn't like Legacy, probably won't be nearly as quite to see an entire series vanish, not helped by paramount having as recently as LAST MONTH promoted having all of star trek with legacy on the banner. While WBD has had a horrifying ripple effect.. it's also getting to the point where said ripples can't be ignored. We also have an ongoing writer's strike which is in part thanks to shit like this, which also means them doing it will just make it harder to settle. Which is bad for consuming media, true.. but is great for making sure this never happens again.

IDK why but it annoys me that everyone says Payu is VegasPete's son. He's not Venice. He doesn't act like Vegas or Pete and just because he ripped a condom open with his teeth and have similar bedsheets does not make them related. I haven't said anything before now because why should I? It ain't that deep but just know that's how I feel about it.

I wish Wabi Sabi would give Cooheart a lighthearted BL. I want to see him in a bubbly, cute, and soft plot. I'm tired of seeing my boy cry. Give him something softer please.

Highkey Sammy deserves her own series. IDK if it's a GL or a Straight series. She's been in the game since like 2015 and I'm tired of seeing her on the sidelines. She deserves the spotlight.

I found VegasPete interesting, but I don't actually ship them. Like, I'm glad they got their happy ending but if it were up to me....

Secret Crush on You is a good series. I'm saying this because the amount of hate Toh gets is insane. Sure he's cringey and a stalker, but there's more to the series past what we see in ep 1. The series conquers a lot of relevant topics; peer pressure, unrealistic expectations, body issues, boundaries, safe sex, consent, open communication, identity issues, and even pronouns and transgender characters. It's an excellent watch and it should be given a fair chance.

Love in the Air is a character driven series. The plot builds around the characters.

People are saying Big Dragon is a knock off of KinnPorsche and IDK why because the vibes are completely different and so is the plot. Just because it's a mafia BL doesn't mean it needs to be compared to KP.

Everyone in KinnPorsche were toxic! It was a toxic series. So I don't like that people were saying, "Well this character wasn't as toxic as that character." SHHHHHHHHHHH EVERYONE WAS A HOT MESS!

BETWEEN US IS GOING TO BE FUCKING SPECTACULAR AND I'M PUTTING THAT INTO THE UNIVERSE TOO!

I hate that the writers tried to give Yeon Woo a new love interest in s2. It was unnecessary and took away from the soulmates plot they set up in s1. They should've just recast Yoo Han and kept him in.

Despite the ending, Kissable Lips was one of my fave Korean BLs of the year. Ji Woong and Seo Bin have amazing chemistry and I'm glad they're getting a new series.

Instead of History 5, I wish we could get a s2 for Trapped. I actually don't want History 5.

I want to see Aaron Lai and Hank Wang in another series.

I didn't like New and Earth together. I don't want Krist and Fluke in a series. I want more ForceBook and PoddFluke and FlukeFirst.
